Obehi44: I never said it was right. But please don't ask such person to throw away their visa. because if he doesn't have the money to pay now, who knows even if he stay here for another one year he may still not get the money. Or will you help him pay? All fingers are not equal you know. Then why did you waste your time and space defending this? I have said this too many times that this thread should never be used to encourage any sort of illegal activities. We Nigerians are just unbelievable I don't care if people have done it before that is not my bloody business, don't encourage or promote such activity here |

Qlip: Good day everyone, please i need clarity on the following:
1. As a 40 year old, can one's parent stiil be ones sponsor ? Although the required funds have been moved into the beneficiary's account, the intention is to start the 28 days count from 2nd day after the money was lodged so it doesnt reflect , just to avoid any issues about huge sums lodged into the account.
2. Would getting a letter from an organization one volunteered for 2 years add credibilty to ones claim of having worked in that organization?
3. Having been refused an Irish visa in the past about 5years back due to some negligence- the reasons for refusal were numerous at the time- reasons like gaps in education or employment not accounted for. would it be advisable to go for a priority visa given the time frame available from the period of application for visa and resumption is barely 2 weeks? I read here that it is better one goes for the standard type if there has been a case of refusal in the past. NB: the refusal was not due to any forged documents as there was an appeal that was eventually lost.
Inputs are appreciated , thank you all. 1. Moving the money into his account is a good idea, i don't think the UK discriminate against age though. 2. You can use priority service even with the refusal but the refusal has to be declared |

Should I go along with letter from my organization for the change of my leave? Anyone with such experience should share. Pls ur response is paramount.
Another question. Is there any thread for UK poe on nairaland? Yes you can do that just in case you are asked at POE but you will be fine |

ijeshaoflondon: Hello justwise, ekpo and everyone...
My kid sister's invitation has arrived and i am seriously in need if ur advise. Kindly let me know if this would fly.
A FEMALE, 22YRS, GRADUATE, PRO MAKEUP ARTIST but BUSINESS NOT REGISTERED, balance in her account is less than 200k but i am ready to sponsor her to and fro to attend a graduation ceremony of her cousin in UK. HER father promised to support her with 200k and siblings like 100k each making 400k altogether. She stays with the parent so no monthly expenses Kindly advise. That doesn't look promising on her part and it will be difficult to get a visa with that profile. |

Paulscholari: I will like to travel to Ghana or Cotonou just to travel out of Naija and get my international passport stamp. The reason is because the last time I applied for US visa, I was going on a vacation, I wasn't given and the white guy that attended to me said I should try and get some traveling history and re-apply. Now how do I go about this! I need some advice or orientation about this.. Or is it even possible for me not to go but just to get my passport stamp to reflect that I have traveled out or something, I'm just thinking!! Any idea? Don't waste your time and money traveling to those countries because that is not the sort of travel history the VO was referring to. Traveling to visa-free countries doesn't really count. Travel to visa-strict countries where your documents will be checked..South Africa or any western countries. |

Good work you are doing here. May God continue to increase your wisdom.
Kindly go through the following refusal reasons from UK embassy and please offer your advise accordingly.
Thank you very much. 1. Bank statement you submitted did not show your salary entry on it 2. You deposited large sum of money into your account without any explanation where the money came from |

okposm: Please justwise, nor my intention to quote you. However, I asked a question last week but no one answered.
I have a challenge. At the point of signing my employment letter, the body of the offer letter states 16th as the resumption. However, the line I was supposed to sign the acceptance of the offer was dated 15th. At the time I was given the offer, the hr people had their reservation about me cos I earlier turned down the offer and the offer was reviewed afterwards. At the time I collected the offer letter, I saw the mistake but because of the salary thing was beginning to cause something else I didn't ask them to print the letter again. So what I did was strike the 15th to 16th and signed on it but on my copy and hr copy. Now I need to tender proof of employment. Should I ignore the offer letter and submit other letters like confirmation letter, promotion letter etc. As I am afraid that this may be taken as tampering of document. Justwise please I need your advise. I doubt if that will have anything negative effect on your application, this is just a day apart, will be too insignificant to be noticed. |

seyisanya: Please, I need your advise@all. I finally received an email from TLS this evening requesting that I submit my passport(I used the "Keep My Passport" service) in order to get my visa application decision. The dilemma now is that I MUST return to country of residence next Saturday 10th August because I must get back to work on Monday 12th August:
My questions:
-Are visas issued at the consulate in Lagos or they send passports to the UK for visa issuance?
-Does anyone know who has used the "Keep my Passport'' service before? How many days does it take for the final decision after submitting passport for UKVI decision?
Please, kindly advise me. Looking forward to your response.
Thanks. Honestly i don't know the answer to these question especially the keep my passport aspect because i have never come across anyone that used that option. You just have to go and submit your passport as you have no other option. |

temmymaria: 380,000 from my dad and 100k from my savings and this was explained with a cover later which the Eco was okay with but the issue was the 300k In may, 2019 which we did not explain
My aunty is the one inviting me and in the later she stated she will accomdate me and take care of my expenses and ticket back home and she backed it up with her bank statement.
My actual salary is 120k , after tax , pension and thrift contribution my take home is 80+
Attached is the refusal letter The money from your daddy and your aunt reduces your tie to Nigeria, obviously without their contributions toward your trip you will not be able to finance this trip comfortably and that is a problem. |

Seeyat: Brother i earn 200k after tax. In my last application i included my property documents and rent receipts including a cover letter.
What can i do to make things right? Take the holiday in another country or give the UK sometime before applying again, use that opportunity to keep a more straight ward financial record. |

temmymaria: Hello @justwise and to other gurus in the house Am new here and I need your advise, I picked up my passport yesterday and i was refused based on the deposit of money received in my account May 2019 which was about #300,000 when my monthly Salary was 80k. Apart from the 300, 000 (200k and 100k received that month) My dad sent me #380k for travelling allowance which we backed up with a letter and I guess the ECO was convinced. So the issue was #300,000 from an unknown source. Kindly advise how I should re-apply and the necsasary info I need to address the refusal I am planning on re -applying God willing Thanks. Attached is the letter I received How much of your own money is going into this trip? |

Seeyat: This is what i receiced today, can somebody please tell me what to do because i want to reapply
ECO did not complain about insufficient funds in my last application, i wonder why it was stated in this refusal letter
I also mention about receiving rent in my previous application and also submitted rent receipts and other documents as evidence.
I'm tired of these people. In your first application did you declare that you have additional source of income when asked? |

That will not fly, you work for them and the cost of traveling should come from them completely. You can't work for a company and spend part of your money for company's foreign trip. |
