Good evening.
Am planning to travel with my husband next year. I earn 400k monthly while my husband earn 173k monthly. We have 3kids though not going with them. No traveling history. I have some of my money in cooperative, so am planning to take out 1m from coop to my account for the trip. Below are my question.

1. What is our chance of getting Visa
2. Will that be any query if they notice an in flow of 1m from cooperative to my account.
3. Do I need to get my cooperative statement account to support my claim
4.do I need to submit my husband statement.

I will appreciate if someone can help me with above questions.

Thank you
1. Nobody here can honestly tell you that even the ECO can't until you made your application and wait for the outcome

2. Yes that will call for some questions if you did not explain where the money come from and back that up with paper evidence.

3. Yes you have to.

4. Yes again you have to submit his own bank statement.

Since the application is next year and both of you earn more than half a million a month why not start leaving your salaries in your salary account to avoid moving money around for visa application?

Hello Justwise and other gurus, Is it advisable for lady to invite her male friend for her graduation in the UK? She's also ready to provide accomodation for her guest... what document should she send to her friend in Nigeria, she already got an invitation letter for him from her school . Thanks
She can invite her male friend as long he meets visa requirements, this is like him applying to visit the UK on his own the only difference here is that a female friend is inviting him. Even if she will be paying for everything he still need to proof that he has a strong tie to Nigeria.

Please house I need ur help with this query. I intend to apply for a visitors visa with my 1 year old son. My question is can I submit our application alone ? Is my son's biometrics needed? Am asking because am travelling from a distance. Thanks in anticipation
You need to submit a separate application for your son but he doesn't need to do biometric but i think their picture will be taken

Thanks for your response. I already made up my mind after aquaboss responded that I’ll include it in my application (online)

I have follow up questions though.

1.) do i need to include an appointment letter from a Dr? Because, from all that i have read on the thread (recent posts) Drs haven’t been picking up (even i have tried to call severally). Also, People get hung up on by the secretaries of the Dr’ etc.

I just want to know if I have to submit any medical appointment proof with my application online?

Another challenge im having is when i get to POE. If im asked if I have a Dr’ appointment, I can’t say yes if I haven’t been able to get. And a lot of people here have suggested just walking into med centers when one gets there.

2.) I plan to travel in September even though im not due till Dec/Jan. Hope that isn’t too early? This is in relation to possible questions I might be asked at POE like “How long are you here for ?” Becsuse in filling my online form it has 2 weeks as travel period.

Thank you all for your responses. Really appreciate and waiting feed back on this as well

[b]
If you can't get Dr's appointment then don't bother yourself about it, but try and get some sort of communication with the Dr.

I think traveling Sept is too early, how about early Nov or late Oct?

Please I really need my kindhearted ogas to help me on these questions cos I have been reading from page 0 but I am still confused
Please at what point will I pay the application fee? Is it during the process or after arrival?
What is the estimate of all you spent outside the Pof?
Please I will appreciate if I get a breakdown of the amount and stages at which you paid them.
Thank you
@All

Please avoid quoting the above post I noticed that the antispambot banned every single person that quoted that post.

Thank you.

Hi everyone. Im new here.

Tried catching up with all the posts and ive gotten a lot of useful information thank you everyone and particularly @hotstepper.

The issue here now is i am due January next year and currently trying to apply for a visa and im having issues (mostly within myself lol) don’t know whether to add in the application (additional information section) that i will also be going to deliver my baby there. Even though i indicated vacation.

Orr im thinking I should leave the application as it is (holiday for 2 weeks), and then declare at POE?

Im really confused. I have family there so all of that isn’t an issue and thanks to everyone here, I was able to get cost and Drs num etc.

Kindly help me. God bless you
There is nothing confusing here, state the fact in your visa application..you are going to give birth in Canada.

Declaring at Poe is so deceiving because you are pregnant when you applied for that visa and knew that you want to use it for child birth.

If we continue to lie our way through every immigration system then we are going to make things difficult for others.

If renting a 2 bed or 3 bed property for 2 individuals, will referencing be done on both persons or just one?

We've focused really on bad tenants, but this goes both ways. How do we protect ourselves from bad landlords? Can prospective tenants carryout checks on these LL as well?

Ps: Thanks for all the feedbacks.
Good question..before you rent any house make sure you view it and note any damage and that should be included in your tenancy agreement so that when you are moving out the landlord will not make any crazy damage claim.

Your deposit should be deposited with the govt scheme(TDP) tenancy deposit protection. basically as soon as your landlord deposit the money they will email you and ask you to create an online account and a copy of the deposit certificate will be emailed to you too

Good day experts. I did my biometrics on the 6th of June, till date no passport in sight. Each type I track, no decision has been made. The training I was going for was to start today. That aside, I have another trip which I have already paid for which I do not want to miss. Please does anyone know if there is any need to call UK immigration to enquire, and if I cancel my application how long will it take to get my passport back?
Thanks.
You have to call or email them first, have you visited to the visa centre to know if by any chance your passport is there?

Gurus kindly intervene, long post alert! !!!!!!

I recently got ptdf scholarship for my PhD in the UK and I have secured admission to resume school 10/10/2018.
As a PhD student I believe can travel with ones family. (My husband and a son in my case) and I wold love to go with them.

So my visa type should be Tier 4 (General student )

WE'VE NOT TRAVELED OUT OF NAIJA BEFORE

My questions

1. How much do we need in our account for the
28days b4 visa application
2. How many years visa will be given to my dependants
3. How soon can my family ( dependants) join me, " can we even resume together in October" ?
4. What are the documents to be submitted for the visa application
4. On getting to UK will my husband be allowed to work
5. Are there day care for 1yr old babies
6. In how many weeks can we get a decision on our visa application.

Please Educate me.

Thanks alot!

If you have many properties you will get landlord insurance for all your combined properties. I.e one landlord insurance will cover all your buy to let properties.
I don't think so, you may get a discount for insuring more than one house with one insurer

Thanks for this. That deposit and reference money no be here.
Many letting agencies will ask for deposit far more than equivalent of one month rent which is ridiculous.

Don’t forget there will be other tenants after the property and to some landlords it’s is better to have a void period than have a bad tenant who you will have to take to court to get out of the property. You will not only loose rent , but there will be legal and court fees and the stress that goes with it.
Don't also forget that there are other properties in the market as well.

Are you talking of building insurance?

Landlords insurance is different and it doesn’t cost that much it’s between £70 to £200 for private landlords. And it is to protect the landlord against bad tenants and void periods. But if you don’t reference your tenant properly you can forget about making a claim.
..and you think its not a lot of money? Imagine if you have many houses and you have to pay 70-200 monthly for each of your tenant?

You are not going to do well as a business person.

It cost under £50 to do a credit check, but it all adds up if you have to do it for about 5 tenants out of your pocket. There are some tenants that know they wil fail it but still let the landlord incur the cost.
..and if the tenant refused to pay for credit check? There is a reason many landlords don't ask for credit check and reference fees.

The Refusal Letter last Sentence: You have signed your application form and have also stated that the information whether input by yourself, input on your behalf by a third party or automatically pre-populated is complete and correct to the best of your knowledge and belief. As you have clarly breached the conditions of your previous Tier4 student leave, your application for a visit visa has been refusd under paragraph V3.7 of the immigration Rules.
I guess you answered some questions incorrectly regarding your previous breach of immigration rule couple with the fact that you overstayed for 2yrs.

2. Overstayed 2years from the date of curtailment .
Ok but did you change any of your details when you reapplied in 2016?

I haven’t lived in any of those counties. But I can talk about my experience in London.
The only time referencing was not done and paid for were times when I was looking for rooms in flatshares.
But for whole properties, ALL the PRIVATE landlords have had to use NLA to do a referencing for me.
And I have had to PAY.
You paid because you want to, its not a requirement by law to pay for that

Hello @Justwise and other gurus here, I need your advise please.
I am resuming at the university of Bath in September but I dont like the accommodation allocated to me by the school. Its a single room in a 6 bedroom flat with 2 shared bathrooms and kitchen with a price is £600/month (bills inclusive). I personally would prefer a studio apartment or share a two bedroom flat . Anybody with advise on renting properties in Bath should please advise. Houses there are really expensive!! Also if I find a place I like, should I pay for my accommodation from here or wait till I resume and see the place for myself before paying. Thanks
Bath is an expense city for sure but you can use gumtree to search for one room in a shared flat

The ECO quoted paragraph of immigration rules V 4.2 (a)(c)(e) and V 3.7(a)(b) in decisiion but refused me from paragraph V 3.10(f) ,,this is unfair, kindly tell me steps to take .
When were you banned? At the airport or you reapplied to visit the UK?
