Hello everyone. I wrote here the other time that I am going for my masters program in at New York film Academy in america by september which I already have my visa for that but I just want to use it as an avenue to visit London film school which I was advised to get an invitation letter from London film school. I contacted London film school but they said they will be on break by that time unless I want to come in October but I will be in America studying by that time.
I now contacted my friend which he contacted his uncle in uk and he gave me his British passport data page and invitation letter. Do you think I should use the persons documents or I should just use hotel reservation or I should forget it? Thank you bosssssss
Forget it because i don't know why your friend's uncle should be sending you such sensitive document even though you don't know each other.

Is there a need to worry about anything, prolly missing documents?
Pls pardon my questions, l am just a lil bit distraught right now.

Thanks
This is common and many have experienced this before, you just have to wait.

Good afternoon all. My name is ADEYEMI OLABODE, I have been to the UK before but I recently applied for a work visa which was refused. In my previous application I do write my wife's name as AKINYEMI DEBORAH. AKINYEMI is her maiden name and because that is the name on her current passport and the passport was issued before we got married. Though she has never applied to go to UK before. My question is this: We are expecting a baby by end of July and our baby's birth certificate will show my wife's name as ADEYEMI DEBORAH and NOT AKINYEMI DEBORAH which is the name I have beem writting on my application as spouse name. I am planning to apply to visit the UK for 2 weeks alone im October and I will like to submit our child's birth certificate with my application. Won't it cause am issue for the ECO to see my wife's name as ADEYEMI DEBORAH as against AKINYEMI DEBORAH I have been writing before? I have a change of name document for her which was done through Nigerian Tribune in 2016 but I didn't submit it in my previous application. Should I go and do another change of name for her before the delivery of our baby? Please I need your responses. Thanks. PLEASE NOTE HER CURRENT PASSPORT WILL EXPIRE IN FEBRUARY 2019
Reading this is so confusing just keep it simple..

1.What is her name before marriage?

2. What is the name in marriage certificate?

Good Evening Nairalanders,
My friend was contacted by someone from this forum I introduced her too because I have been a silent reader and gained a lot.
My friend joined this forum and indicated interest for accommodation in Houston for rent.
A lady contacted her and along the line asked for a deposit to be made. Now my question is,why ask for a deposit when the person hasn’t arrived the US and you both don’t know each other.
You are also not a known organization or service provider.
I understand we can’t trust people again but please let’s be careful how we act to one another.
Tell your friend not to send any deposit and people should be careful dealing financially with anybody here.

i have said this before..a lot of agents visits this thread regularly waiting for people like your friend to drop question regarding accommodation or hospital so as to take advantage of that person.

Hello house, Please I was granted 6months Uk visit visa in 2010, 2 years in 2011, 2 years in 2014, 6 months in 2017. Can I just apply for 10 years straight in my next renewal and be granted the 10 years visit visa? @ justwise, Omo Bendel please, your opinion is highly needed here
You can apply for 10yrs if you convince the ECO that you are a frequent traveler to the U.K. or that you will be frequenting the UK in future else I will advise you to go for 5yrs.

LagosNIV:
Good morning everyone, VisaOfficer has departed Nigeria but it is clear that there are still many questions so I will make an effort to continue answering your questions!

I am a U.S. Foreign Service Officer working at the U.S. Consulate in Lagos, Nigeria. Like all of the VOs in Lagos, I handle both Non-Immigrant (NIV) and Immigrant Visa (IV) interviews. The purpose of this thread is to provide a forum for your questions about immigrant visas. My colleagues and I will make every effort to answer all questions within two business days.

Please note that we cannot answer questions about specific cases, except as based on the information provided here in this discussion thread. Any responses in this forum are not to be taken as legally binding, as they will be based only on what you tell us in your questions, not on the information in any actual case. While we will attempt to explain U.S. immigration policies, any opinions expressed are the personal views of the writer, and do not necessarily reflect the views of the United States Government.

We may not be able to respond to every post in this thread, and we will not answer abusive posts. Also, please don't send me private messages -- I don't even read them. If you need personal attention, please send an e-mail to LagosIV@state.gov.

There is a separate thread for Non-Immigrant Visa Questions, also handled by U.S. Foreign Service Officers serving in Nigeria, at https://www.nairaland.com/1792662/u.s-non-immigrant-visas-listening . Please use this thread right here solely for questions about Immigrant Visas and Diversity Visas.

Hello, Nairaland!

Our other visa thread, U.S. Non-immigrant Visas: We’re Listening, has been a success in dispelling some of the myths associated with the visa process. We have enjoyed answering all of your pertinent questions and as we get ready for the upcoming summer cycle that sees a huge increase in student visas, we wanted to create a new forum JUST for applicants with questions about student visas (F1, M1, & J1).

We are U.S. Foreign Service Officers working in Abuja and Lagos and we are looking forward to answering your student related questions. Please note that we do not comment on specific cases, we do not offer advice, and we will not answer abusive or insulting posts.

While we will attempt to explain U.S. immigration policies on student visas and provide overall visa application guidance, any opinions expressed are the personal views of the writer and do not necessarily reflect the views of the United States Government.

There is a separate Immigrant and Diversity Visa thread at https://www.nairaland.com/1792591/u.s-immigration-questions-ask-u.s., also handled by a U.S. Foreign Service Officers in Nigeria, so please use this thread only for questions about student visas. I did...I traveled and spent 3 months in the uk, after which i was advised by an agent to backdate my arrival for future application purpose. I then followed this advice and paid him to do that.
Fast-forward to when i re-applied, i was refused based on the fact that a wrong stamp was found in my passport and it was seized.

i accept that i have done worng and its been years...i have even renewed my passport and am just asking if anyone has recently been able to pass this stage successfully. The portal is really open for anyone that is ready to condemn, i am looking for someone who can shed more light to this for me...just want to know what to do.

Thank you
How long was this and do you still have the refusal letter?

if you want i will send you the agent number that scammed Potus... The reason potus is angry with gorry is because of the thread gorry created about Kazakhstan. The thread motivated Potus to make the decision to move to Kazakhstan for greener pastures. The gorry you are talking about is in Kazakhstan and he haven’t seen Potus. The agent that helped Potus is in Nigeria.
I'm surprised that you haven't realised that you are not making any sense.

Why did you not challenge Potus about this allegation when he was alive? Gorry is a member here and have been reading all the allegations since July 1 but never for once disputed it, so why are you falling all over yourself?

I'm sorry to say this but you are one of those with questionable character in travel section, everyone of you in that whatsapp group are involved in this visa runs either for Kazakhstan or for China. I read where you told people how they can pack money in China if they come over.

It was an agent introduced to him by his own brother so please don’t accuse the wrong person sir. May his soul RIP...
Why did you not say this when he made this allegation weeks before he died? He created a thread and made the allegation and you posted on that thread without calling him out but you decided to post this now because he is not here to dispute it.

Why did gorry123 not challenge him then about this allegation?

I opened this Thread few days ago about Kazakhstan.

I decided to visit kazakhstan after reading what Gorry wrote about it in this thread

My plan was to go there for greener pasture but little did i know that the person called gorry is a visa Agent who ran away from Nigeria after being involved in a Visa scam.

My plan is to warn the future travelers, please, kazakhstan is not a place to hustle, the ppl of Kazakhstan are very poor people and few people are interested in learning English.

Most Nigerians there are stranded and cant even come back because they don't have returning tickets.

Most of the people stranded were decieved by their Agents that they can teach and make money while in Kazakhstan.

The Agent behind the gorry123 monicker is currently wanted in Kazakhstan and to make matter worst, He has overstayed his visa.

Be warned, No hustle In Kazakstan

I am begging all Nigerians, I met one guy, he sold of his Shop in Onitsha main market because of Kazakhstan and as it is now, he is begging to eat.

About traveling From Kazakhstan to Another country, please, don't allow them to decieve you.

I have every single detail about the ruthless Agent behind Gorry123 monicker.

Nairaland is one of the sites that breeds scammers. The owner should look for a way to checkment this.

Police are on check arresting blacks recently because they are causing Nuisance, they work up and down without doing anything.
