Na true you talk. I want make UK bar Nigerians from coming in. It's irritating when over millions that comprises of different race and countries come to UK every year but only a particular country is complaining, running to Internet and TV station to complain as well. It says a lot about us. In general, we are lazy.
Bunch of confused individuals, Nigeria is hard but you have £10,000 to buy COS with no job available, get to the UK to start organising pity party, using food bank meant for people with genuine need.

They will attack anybody that speaks out but still get scammed by those dubious agents. Nonsense!

Nobody encourage people paying for COS, everyone knew isn't legal but i can bet it with u if u're in naija right now and u fill the heat people are going 2ru now, my brother u will pay for COS
That is exactly what many of you here are doing. dupyshoo is right.

The same Nigerians intentionally committing crime by paying for COS are the same people who will run to TV stations to cry when the heat is on.

Justwise I think it is in Nigeria. It depends on the terms of employment. Some companies will not sponsor you in totality but will pay for the flight ticket. It depends on your contract.I
The embassy will not buy that. Paying an employee's holiday allowance is normal and will be stated in the contract but to sponsor the holiday is abnormal

Good day justwise. Please i need your suggestion about this. A cousin is about to submit his application for a tourist visa application. His employer (company) is sponsoring his trip for 10 days holiday. He will provide his own personal bank statement. But the problem is that his employer's bank statement closing balance is just N1m, but the same company have transactions of millions like 55m, 35m etc in the account before the recent closing balance of N1m. Does it matter?
That is not possible, no company does that. Company does not sponsor employee's holiday.

So what is your prob with those doing the same in the UK?

He has 2 kids he gave birth to there with naija wife.

He impregnated an akata, akata oyibo woman gave birth while he was in prison because he was already in detention till the court conviction last week.

WILL HE BE DEPORTED after serving his jail terms?
Too little, that criminal deserves longer than that.

Some Nairaland kids who have never paid
taxes in their lives will still say, you shouldn't advise them, they would rather go and see the suffering for themselves. From frying pan to fire.
You don't pay taxes in Nigeria?

I would like to ask, how do I make rent payments using credit card or debit card or PayPal? Assuming the landlord insists on bank transfer? Is there any website this can be done through? Thank you.

If your landlord has PayPal a/c and agrees for that method of payment then good else bank transfer will do.

Credit card payment will be great if the payment is made via payment website or an app which i'm not sure many landlords have.

We complain that things are bad in Nigeria yet it's this same attitude of covering upfor others that, largely, led us to where we are today. If you ask me, I'll say keep reporting them until they all go out of business.

I agree with you but sadily even in this thread some people already in the UK are willing to refer you to paid COS

He can deposit the money directly into her account, but that's like paying cash and then you'd have zero protection if it turns out to be a scam.

Be careful and patient....listen to your gut and don't allow yourself become a victim.
Banks ususally ask for reason(s) for the payment, so i suggest that the person select business transaction as a reason then rent payment as a reference

I think it's better to stop arguing with people who've never left Nigeria. Only someone who's never lived in the Anglo-West will tell you getting night shift work is difficult or "by luck". Night shift work is the easier to get because most Native born or experienced people don't want to do it. I'm sure this is the case in the UK as it is in the USA. I know because I worked night shift for over 12 years in various jobs.

Not only are the jobs easier to get, they pay better....10 years ago in my industry it was 25% extra pay plus my last employer added $7K bonus if you never miss more than 1 day in a 6 month period. Add to that, many of these night jobs are 7 day on, 7 day off or 4 day on, 3 day off so a willing person can even do other work or overtime on days off. Note too that because of the schedule, taking 1 week off turns into a 3 week vacation. I had many colleagues who did this work so they could take care of their children during the day while their spouse worked.

I tire for these threads always dragging diasporans. It's sad, but I understand the mindset. Nothing to be done except try and ignore them, but some of the claims are just hard to ignore. Downright ignorant.

Reliable data from PwC Nigeria states that 0.5% of Nigerian adults earn over $200K per month in Nigeria. And I know it's accurate by my own first hand experiences and observations.

Good Luck to Nigerians.
That was exactly why i bothered to comment. I'm shocked at the level of ignorant some people display here...i mean even if you can't read and wite there is not excuse.

most night jobs not all
. try to be rational in your thinking.

just cuz we have elumelu and alakija and otedola and tinubu and adenuga in nigeria does not mean all nigerians are billionaires. just cuz we have 100 doctors out of 10000 nightshift workers doesnt mean the nightshift is not mostly minimum wage dead end. try to be a rational thinker if its not asking for too much from you
sukkot:
any night shift job
is a dead end job. stacking shelves, security etc

Which takes us back to why they are stingy. Night shift job is usually minimum wage

doctors and nurses who do night shifts are doing dead end job? Network enegeers who keep the system running 24hrs are doing dead end jobs?

you may be lucky to find jobs where he does night shift ( but you know that’s going to be security work dead end job ) while she works daytime , but these things are luck and not the reality for most. The reality for most is that the women have all resorted to being stay at home mums and have all opened YouTube channels ( I know a million of them on YouTube ) to bring in an extra 50 pounds a month
Lucky to get night shift job? What are you talking about? So many companies have night shift work system, train companies, the police force, warehouses, supermarkets, hospitals etc

Sorry to say this but i think the clueless person here is you.

I really wonder if you have ever been to the UK before let alone know how the system works.

People work different shifts, Night shift, late morning shift, mid-days start shifts, working from home etc..i mean i can go on and on..

People plan their family runs around those shifts and still survive.

Urgent! Urgent!! Urgent!!!
Good day everyone! Please I applied for visiting visa since December 2020 with my wife, my visa was approved and my wife was denied due to misinterpretation. I couldn’t remember the location of the person who sent me the invitation though it was my agent that arranged that for me and unfortunately, the agent can’t recall too. But on my visa tracking, it shows that destination unspecified. My question is, can i go to a different destination rather than my invite location? Although i have someone who can accommodate me at that different destination I mentioned. Please it’s urgent
You don't know who invited you and the agent that supplied the IV does not either? You will be lucky to get through the airport and POE without getting turned back to Nigeria.
