Viruses: I choose my words carefully. I didn't say a Christian is someone that does not said a Christian is someone that behaves like christ.
In christ, there is forgiveness and forgiveness will not exist without sin but that is not the issue.
The issue is that in the example you stated, the pastor is not a Christian.
There are churches established for the purpose of taking people away form christ, those are not just sinners, they are anti-christ. You are just speaking in tongues which is very common when church-goers want to deflect from the real issue. You agreed that Christians can commit sin but a pastor who committed sin is not a Christian? |

Viruses: Christianity means christ-like. Not everything that is pastor or church related is christ-like.
In this your example, the pastor is not a Christian.
Simply put, a christian is not someone that goes to church, a Christian is someone that behaves like christ. So if you want to give an example, use Jesus Christ. He is a Christian, no Christian is without sin. If 1% of Nigerians are as Christ-like as you stated here then Nigeria will be heaven on earth considering the number of churches we have in Nigeria. |

rinzylee: Baba you should actually know that Jesus never asked us to take our lives. If a Kenyan ganja man decides to experiment rubbish you should know better.
Sometimes your speed to dig out baseless evidences is amusing.
Try dey relax....we already know you are not a believer. Here we go! How do you know that? Simply because we have different opinions? |

Pearlyfaze: The point is those religion your parents took you to will never teach you that dignity means taking your own life by doing the earth a favour. Christianity has never taught me that, African tradition of my ancestors forbid anyone taking his own life.
His involvement with this Earth People is what encouraged his decision.
Check his handle on twitter encouraging people to take their own life instead suffering, waiting and believing things will get better. https://www.theguardian.com/world/2023/apr/27/second-kenyan-pastor-accused-of-mass-killing-of-followers |

rinzylee: Come on bro...that is not what I said.
You chose to interprete it your own way.
I clearly said he joined a certain group that brainwashed him into taking his own life.
Maybe I should post the last link he left for us on his telegram page.
I referenced his mockery of Christianity and only advised new entrants into "the abroad " not to get into the Web of losing our hold and beliefs in God.
I didn't say that was why he died..
See his last post on telegram and the link he dropped for us.
Hey group, it's been great to know you all. Delighted to impact you in my little way, but I'll be going home, I hope you continue to be good and to learn to help and support one another. I'm so happy you all took the time to read my story and see Ireland through my lens. Wish you all a wonderful endeavour.
https://twitter [dot]com/Global_Citizen5?t=omCvjNCQw2cvoA4jVIQMqg&s=09 link to my latest ideas
Hope you read in between the lines of my original post again. Yes i read the first part where you mentioned that he joined a group that brainwashed him but that is not my issue with your post. You drifted into the issue of religion and how he started mocking people back home for holding on to their faith.. Why do you that his death got anything to do with him mocking Christians back home? |

Pearlyfaze: Oga mi, there are evidence that he was told to take his life instead of being discriminated, instead of not receiving equal treatment like Other Irish citizens. Note I mentioned Irish because he lived in Ireland. Chigozie was a lovely fellow, very brilliant but was brainwashed by some Ediot’s who are yet to take their own life.
As an African my advise has always been, if you want to be a Christian/Muslim by all means be only because your parents are members and anytime you think that these two religions are no longer relevant to your level of understanding. Please Practice African traditional spirituality(Nature).
Nor be person go run commot for the one oyibo them sold to your ancestors because you think say e nor good then you go go jump into the ones that oyibo children bring come.
It is not nice that their ancestors deceived your ancestors and we also allow their descendants to deceive us again with another Cult (Called Religious beliefs). Whether Earth Citizens or Atheists or Christian or Muslim these are unAfrican. Be that as it may, They are some values one can learn from especially from Christianity (Na the one I don practice be that).
Peace.
Chigzs died a stupid death. Maybe or maybe not but do you have the evidence you referred to? |

dustydee: Reading that does not suggest in anyway that he linked the guy's death to religion. He meant religion can keep people sane and suggested that he would have had better grip on things had he remained religious. He mentioned in the first few senteces that he joine a certain movement which encouraged him to end his life. Now we may or may not agree with that assertion especially given the fact that the version of christianity practiced in Nigeria (And Islam) is largely the fake one. A lot of what we learned was not properly taught to us and we refused to study the scriptures with an open mind. Again he did and i refer you to this section of his post rinzylee: On a very serious and unfortunate note, He started bashing Christianity and mocking the practise of same in Nigeria. He did say a lot of awful things which is not new to what people who had no roots in God do when they transfer to saner climes.
I am bringing this here, because it is very very easy to say damn whatever Faith you believe in. The same Faith that kept you and gave you mental grit to face challenges. The same God you once loved and worshipped in Naija. Now , you have seen uninterrupted electricity, good roads, working environment and you now mock people back home for choosing to stay steadfast to their beliefs.
People drift into atheism and the likes here and suddenly feel they are in charge. I would have had no problem if this is where it stops. |

Santa2: So sad to hear about his demise. His thread played some part into my decision process to relocate the UK. He was a brilliant chap, Lets all look after our mental health in this obodo oyinbo, and look out for our loved ones. To me this is the real issue here, people are going through a lot silently, just a phone call to check on a friend could prevent that person from taking a dangerous step. Even here we need to check on frequent posters who suddenly stopped posting...you never can tell.. |

If that's all you saw and didn't read between the lines, then I'd leave you to your opinion.
Enjoy I asked you a question and you have failed to answer it because you knew that what you posted was wrong and very insensitive to late chiggslover. There is no evidence that he died because he mocked Christians back home or because he turned his back on God. This is very bad of you. |

Probed further on his telegram group and found out he joined a certain group on twitter "Earth Citizen Movement " whose philosophy welcomes the idea of taking your life.
It is sad baring the fact that this guy was a very brilliant fellow and had a lot of information he gave out free. Many people are in Ireland because of the light he brought.
On a very serious and unfortunate note, He started bashing Christianity and mocking the practise of same in Nigeria. He did say a lot of awful things which is not new to what people who had no roots in God do when they transfer to saner climes.

But....... see how they eventually brainwashed this amazing guy into believing that he was doing the earth a great deal by ending his own life. Isn't this the description of folly? Good job, good country, good prospects .... yet you took your own life in your prime.
Certainly, there's a void in every human that only God can fill.

These people wake up early to do devotion and march out to steal, dupe, lie, collect bribes, fornicate, commit adultery and other terrible things.

There is nothing you can do to help an intellectually deficient mob of pretenders from self destructing.

European countries, UK, US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Southwestern Nigeria, etc should learn from one time Christian and Buddhist countries like Turkey and Indonesia that kept saying their religion doesn't matter until radical Muslims through moderate so called peaceful Muslims took over their countries.
Though I will be happy is radical Muslims takes over UK for all the evil they perpetrated in Nigeria and for allowing Nigerian leaders to be destroying Nigeria and be running to UK to hide their loot I'm sorry but i think you are just giving excuses, was Nigeria the only country colonised by the British?
