yes they do....but you can pick up any job and still earn more than the average nigerian and earn more than 75k.
So what sort of visa do you think the op will get after 6 months in hiding that will enable him work?

Not really but I can tell you there is way to get a genuine paper after 6month in america...I won't go into details...but I know people who runs it with a million naira for a stay and work in the states ...so you don't know other peoples plan until u cee them achieve a thing
It's called sham marriage, it's illegal and not guaranteed to workout. You will forever be looking over your shoulder hoping that the lady or the middle man will not do anything stupid after collecting that one million from you. Yes there are crooks who arrange such marriage but you are their cash machine as they can keep demanding money from you because they have you exactly where they want you.

My Mother In Law was out and about the very next day here. Why? Because her paperwork was legitimate from Nigeria.

Nothing good can come out of starting your new life in a place by hiding in a house for 6 months. Or maybe OP is using the word hiding in a wrong context.

Probably...because I can't imagine any loving sister putting his brother in such situation.

For her sis to invite him!.surely she got a plan for him after the six month.
Can you think of any legitimate plan that involves hiding in the house for 6 months before getting genuine paper? Does that not worry you that somebody traveled to America with genuine visa but not allowed to leave the house for 6 months?

Fair enough but what you are advising the op is unworkable under that condition.

As in what? What benefits are there for Nigeria as a country since the inception of Obamas presidency? He bombed Libya to pieces destablasing the whole region while arming sundry unhinged elements with sophisticated weapons that found their way to Boko haram. He then refused to sell arms to Nigeria, forcing allies to refuse selling arms to Nigeria while inflamjng passions with some over the top comments on such issues as the chibok girls and co. Now he wants to play the ultimate umpire of Nigerias democratic progress. He can't even get away with this sort of abracadabra in Afghanistan, the overzealous house negro desperate to reign in all of Africa for his white slave masters.. . History will remember Obamas presidency as the worst for Africa since Reagans years of foreign policies based on racial profilings.
Sadly you don't deserve even a wooden spoon for this amount of rubbish.

I just realized I made a stupid mistake on my application. I had a passport I never travelled with b4 d e passport only have a rejection for uk visa on it. I though it was retrieved by nis in exchange for my e passport. Just found it today, while my hubby was searching for something else. I even wrote an explanation in d form that I had a passport but didnt have d records cos it had been retrieved.i really believed this story. I have absolutely nohing to hide on d passport nd already filled in details of my previous rejectn but stated i cldnt remember d details nd d date but only d year.nw my issue is I must have sent it in with my visa dt was approved in 2010. Nd I knw hw quick they r in assuming an applicant has lied.
I don't see this as a major prob if you met all other requirements, the good thing is that you acknowledged previous refusal.

@Justwise:I was denied this year January on basis of not having family ties in the UK (Invitation Letter). The basis was on my closing balances which were less than 10,000 NGN, thou I had about 620k in my account for the trip but it was not considered, cos the fund the was deposited few weeks to the application. I intend to re-apply but want to build my salary account with about 700k for the next six months. But I do not have working friends in the uk so as to obtain an invitation letter. I have a good job here, just want to visit the uk and return to my job, dats all. Please advise on my chances of getting a visa.
What is your salary range now?

Guys getting down there and wait for 6 months isn't my problem, but im afraid of what i might lose if this doesn't work out as envisaged. Believe me,i would still have to spend the fortune I've saved with the peanut im earning on the traveling expenses.and that is the problem i have with the whole thing. pls guys, i need real advise as this is going down pretty soon..............OP
You are going to waste all your sayings, your sister will not perform magic in 6 months to get you any paper.

Ask her to tell you exactly the sort of visa she will be getting for you within that 6 months.

Looking at your salary I will be surprised if You are issued a B1/B2 visa by US embassy, even an IV from your sister will not cut it because you don't have strong tie to Nigeria.

Thanks for your time, in the form, they don't ask if applicant has been refused any visa before, should i state it in my introduction letter or add the refusal letter to the application? please advise.
Only answer the question you are asked in the form. No need attaching French refusal letter or include it in introduction letter

Thanks Justwise, please did you see the complications?
i was refused a french visa last week, what is your advise?
i will also be grateful if you can give me a clue on how to book and pay for the hotel.
I don't see any complication here, follow the form instruction and complete the form as honest as you can.

Your French visa refusal got little or nothing to do with this....if you are asked if you have been refused visa to any country before say yes and briefly state the reason(s) etc.

Use booking.com to search for hotel in SA, look for hotels in the city you will be staying. With your credit/master card you can book/make hotel reservation

Then proceed to the US, the visa permits you to move around. Enroll into any qualifying study in US, while applying for stay. You will have it, I have several relatives and friends who do this and are happy. 75k is nothing in today's Nigeria currency, its gives you false hope of a tomorrow.
Tell me how this is done....i give you 5mins.....because if you got any clue you will explain it quicker than 5mins

When he arrives there, they will handle all that. The contacts are there for a fee.
Dude he does not qualify for any green card, the best he can do with B1/B2 visa is to convert it to F1 visa even that is not straight forward.

The story does not make sense. For you to travel to the US, you need a VISA, and that visa permits you to move around. Once you have visa, why would you stay indoor until which papers ?

Listen, even if you are in the US and your visa expires, you can still move around but you cant work and stay out of trouble, no fights, no driving, because documents will be required if police catch you for offences. You can even do manual runs and shit.

My advise is that you travel to the US and as soon as you arrive apply for a green card, but the odd is that you will not come to Nigeria for 1yr until your green card is ready, which gives you full right to live in US for at least 10years. 75,000 is actually nothing in Today's Nigeria but really depend on where you live. 75,000 cant really buy anything not a pair of nice shoes.
How does he qualify for green card?

She said she would help me travel to the States but she would keep me indoors in her house for 6 months pending when my papers allowing me to move around the US would be ready.

I'm already receiving 75,000 naira per month here in Nigeria and still single.

Please is there any advise from the house?
Your sister is not telling you the whole truth, if you are given 6 months visa you are allowed to move around unrestricted, so why does she want to keep you indoor again? What sort of visa is she going to convert your B1/B2 visa to?
