i thought 6 month single entry visa allows stay upto 180 days. is this a new change
6 moths is multiple entry, allowed to stay 90days at once

you are joy justwise. thank you. u have calmed this headache i am having. i can give them whatever they need. the other thing is that i want her to stay for about 5 month and want to buy the BA return ticket and add to the application to clearly prove she will go back. or do you think thats a very long stay?

also pleaseeee, i read she need to prove ties to Nigeria(seriously?) she is 64 and retired and receive pensions. what will she use to prove ties , her bank statements?
5 months is far too long, she only allowed to stay maximum of 90days(3months) at one visit, she will be given 6months visa

Tie to Nigeria at her age is not really an issue...she is like a child now being looked after , she need to attach her pension document and any other property/investment she has in Nigeria.

i read several posts from people on immigration board forum. these are people that had similar experiences. i searched the internet about people inviting mum due to having a baby. do you know anyone that has invited mum for this reason and was successful.

i will be heavily relieved if i read from people that has gone through similar application
I never read such thing before.... people do invite their mums due to having a baby, absolutely nothing wrong with that as long as you can afford it.

Please go ahead and write letter of invitation for her.

You need to be detailed about it.....pointers like:

-Its your first child (So you need all the help you can get)

-The baby is going to be delivered through CS

- Your hubby is not there with you.

- Attach your tenancy agreement to show that you have adequate accommodation for her and the baby

- Payslip and bank statement to proof that you have enough money to sponsor and look after her and the baby.

Don't let anything you read online stop you from inviting her.

please i need your advise. i live in uk and 6+ months pregnant with my first baby due in June. i would like my mum to visit to during the birth. i will be on leave for 9 months so she IS NOT coming to look after baby while i go back to work. i need her help as i live alone.

I am married, but my husband is yet to join me in uk, which will happen after my PR. i currently have retained rights of residence and will qualify for Permanent Residence in 2 months.

I am sick to my stomach after i read that mention of pregnancy as reason for invite leads to rejection. i cannot afford my mum not being here as i am alone and will likely have a CS.

I will sponsor the application , my mum is retired and visited usa some years ago for 3 months without overstaying. please does anyone have experience about inviting mum due to pregnancy.

she wont overstay, please should i avoid mentioning pregnancy in my application and just stick with standard visit( but on what grounds then?) i love being upfront.

please i need urgent advice.
Please where did you read that from because i don't think its true.

Like I said before only business owners submits tax certificate when applying for visa, if you are employed by somebody then your salary is taxed already and you don't submi tax certificate when applying for visa.[/quote

Good morning justwise, vicjustice and all.please especially at justwise ,with my case it seem u are advising I submit a payslips but Vic in is advise says it is through payslips that its possible for tax paid to be investigated.

Now what do I do,submit my application with payslips not showing tax paid or submit with none?

Also ma sister advised me to submit my dads company registration docs since it shows am also a director.Just to show ties to Nigeria.ls advise.Note-company does not pay tax.

Thank you

Pls whoever has submitted application without tax should pls also advise.
Na wao!! really i have given up explaining this to you...i don't know how to write/speak in tongues

Yes Justwise, i was granted a visa with less dan 250k in my account Combination of what myself and hubby earns is more dan 1.5m per month including benefits. I was thoroughly advised by people who know me not to put any other funds in my account (even though we had in some other account as we had withdrew some money at that moment) all he checked was my job history and our annual income and my account to prove I received such amount on a monthly basis.
I must tell u that I know more than 3-5 families that has done this in mine and hubby's office that were also granted a visa.
Like someone rightly said, maybe I was lucky. That means the luck runs amongst my friends and families then. smiley
No visa wasn't granted to you based on that 250k because that is not even enough for flight ticket let alone hospital bills.

I stand to be corrected but I feel this issue of bank statement is a bit over rated . I went to the embassy with an account balance of 250k and was granted a visa even after telling the VO I was going for delivery. I was advised by my friends not to boost the account as it may look fishy.
Though I'm not in support of u going to the embassy with three statement of accounts.
My advice will be to go simple, state that ur hubby will sponsor the trip and make sure that whatever funds u have is in your hubby's account, den also prove to them that he has a stable job and dat u're also working. U can also go with other hospital packages if possible (to prove that other hospitals also offer cheaper packages) but still use the initial hospital.
The most important thing is to pray for God's favor and ure good to go.
Too much money can also portray a sign of desperation what matters most is ur history and what goes in and out of ur account not necessarily the current bank statement.
Another thing I feel that gave u away is the fact that u made a part payment when u haven't gotten a visa, according to the rumors I heard(i stand to be corrected) initial payments either for tickets or services expected to be rendered in the USA makes the VO feel u're making (forcing) him or her to feel obligated to grant u a visa. It's better to book for an appointment rather dan paying for the service.
My advice to future applicants will be to Just go with ur appointment letter and correspondence with the Dr.
I hope this helps.
Are you honestly telling us that the VO gave you a visa as body going to deliver in US with only 250k in your account?

Okies, thank you so much,I'll do just that..is it ok to apply for the visa online??
Everything is done online now...but you still have to submit the same set of documents at their visa center after online submission.

First make sure that the school offering the training is licenced to do that by UKBA

belle001:
Its a training course and it will be sponsored my mum and I..
Then you need to apply as a student and meet student visa requirements. it's not difficult though, pretty straight forward. If the training is offered by university or college pay your training fees and get a CAS, you need £820 per month for maximum of 9 months....if your school is outside London..that money covers all your expenses including rent and bills

@Justwise, Vicjustice and other gurus in da house, abeg any news on teleperformance site that is not opening? I submitted my visa documents since 16th and ve gotten email from UK Shiefield dat decision have been made on my application since Monday but am yet to get my passport back. Though I paid for the courier service, am wondering while I haven't receive it yet and can't even track d progress on teleperformance site. The bad part is that d lady dat attended to me didn't give me a tracking number for d courier service even when I insisted to have it, she said they don't give....is there any number I can reach dem on(teleperformance), VI center. I really need d passport back. Many thanks!!
I don't think they have contact number, you can only pay them a visit.

its an exam, a day exam but i will be staying 10 - 14 days. thinking tourist visa but i have friends there, so i am thinking i booked for hotels in tourist areas in london but i will go and stay with my friends. hope thats possible
Business visiting visa is the appropriate visa to apply for.

If the exam center is in London then book a hotel close to that place in London, if you want to stay with your friend then get IV from your friend and proof of accommodation.

When you reapply, use your uncle, make sure you also have strong ties in Nigeria, that way they know you are definitely returning to Nigeria, if you are the one applying, you can still be the main applicant. And be sure you are making a lot of money since you are going with your entire family. Get letters from your boss man saying you are returning to the country. Do your assignment right and I'm sure it would go well.

All the best my sister

London is a city in England .It's the country's capital.
UK comprises of 4 countries - England, Scotland ,Wales and Northern Ireland.

Period! I was lazy to type this when I read the transcript. The applicant cannot afford the trip based on her earnings.

Simple! He is a Nigerian, no govt support, ready to spend about 2months of his salary just in two weeks to see a cousin? How about his wife and kid? Their well-being in Nigeria is more important than wasting that money in two weeks....if he earns twice that amount then great.

I disagree sir!

Traveling to at least 2 of those countries will boost his travel history, believe it or not.

Travel history for anyone below 40 going on " tourist visa" is a BIG deal. If you are a tourist, you are expected to start from your immediate environment.
Not really....every frequent traveler started from a single trip. You are given a visa because you are qualified at that time....in that case your travel history does not count.

Hi good day gurus in the house justwise and Vicjustice you guys have been doing a great job. please i need advice. i am a medical doctor married with a daughter planning to go write plab in the Uk in june. first time applying for Uk visa, i have read most of the other comments but my question is this, my salary account is about 100,000 presently though about 1m is fixed , savings has about 1m as well but has large amount of money moved in and out as my father pays in money for some stuff i have to do for him. my question is this will this be an issue for getting visa, can i use 3 to 4 bank statements. lastly my fathers account is very good so can i just use him as a sponsor, but i am thinking since i am working class and i am applying for tourist visa wont it be somehow that my dad is sponsoring. pls advice from the house
Use your salary account and the fix for the application, how long is the course?
