The story got no source? |
riteaide: Ok. I am not dragging positions with you. I have just seen it happen. And since you are mr know-it-all, I rest my caseLazy comment people make when they failed to come up with valuable argument. Why not counter his points rather than calling him names? |
sollie001: OGA justwise i have called and called o. nothing. same story. don't know what to do now. they haven't replied my mail. the most disturbing thing is i don't even know the issue i have with the application. as in, why they called. is it wise to travel to Abuja? or what do you think i should do next? tension is seriously increasing! When is your course starting? I'm not sure if one is allowed into the embassy without an appointment, if its possible then i will travel to Abuja if i were you. It can be frustrating definitely. |
chrisdestiny: Justwise pls wat do u mean ny a fone wt open network?Unlocked phone, phone that accepts sim card from many networks. |
thekid123: Thank you, please do u know how long it takes from passport submission to hopefully receiving your visa? Thanks againIt doesn't take time at all, matter of few days. you will hear from them next week. |
ayodeji013: ok..thanks for the reply.....was just wondering if this won't lead to automatic refusal.scaredIt shouldn't considering your situation, don't forget to mention in the letter that you called the embassy and was advised to do that. There is nothing else you can do now only if you want to defer your admission while you get the original transcript |
ayodeji013: dear nairalanders, i have obtained a CAS from my uni.on my CAS(documents used to process admission section),my academic transcript is the only document listed. Now here's my issue: i only have a photocopy of my academic transcript which i scanned to the university.Nigerian schools are on strike and it"s impossible to get an original from them at the moment.I called BHC abuja yesterday for advice and the lady i spoke with suggested that i submit the photocopy with a letter attached explaining my reasons(for visa application) because of limited time.Is this a good suggestion? or are there better alternatives.thanks NOTE:i have applied for my university certificate too and it's taking forever to get it so all i have is my statement of result and the academic transcript photocopy. That is the only real option available to you now since your school is on strike and you haven't got the time to wait any longer |
thekid123: Dear all,Definitely a good sign. If you can print a new one do that else submit the old one, submitting a new one shows that you haven't touched the money...that you still have your money available since you were refused. |
ochukoccna: Oga justwise, thank you for all your help in this travel section to Nigerians and other nationalities not only those who want to study now, are studying but even those travelling for other reasons. No worries. If you have a mobile phone with open network come with it, when you get here buy lycamobile or lebara sim card, for about a pound, top up is 5 pounds, a lot cheaper to call Nigeria and local calls. Don't forget your winter jacket, it starting to get cold here now. |
Kiran14: Hai everyone ,I got a call from embacy that I need to attend an interview at bhc.is that means they gonna reject my application ?Its normal to be called for an interview, nothing to be worried about |
@ Ralphlauren Please allow VisaOfficer to respond to questions, you can help out in other related threads in this section. This is strictly for VisaOfficer to respond to people from a professional point of view. Thank you. |
ochukoccna: Thanks HOS, I'll see if my bank changes their stance of buy fund it yourself when I have my visa and e ticket it towIf you are asked tell them that you have made a temporarily accommodation(hotel etc) arrangement where you will stay until you find a permanent accommodation. Be very careful with gumtree, its a hot-bed of scammers, you can use roomates, its safer than gumtree |
ochukoccna: Anyone have a current GBP to naira quote?Get yourself a hotel accommodation for 3-4 days, there are budget hotels like Travelodge, premier Inn, ibis hotel, holiday inn.... some of these hotels are located close to many universities. Like you pointed out...never pay for a room you did not physically see and sign tenancy agreement. There are many ways of getting yourself an accommodation...visit your school international office and ask for list of private landlords, or go to your school noticeboard students who are looking for flatmates put up notice there. Some landlords or students also put up room adverts on off-license shop windows, you will see alot of them in shops close to your uni. |
sollie001: Thanks justwise. They didn't call back o. had to go to the deputy high commission in Lagos, there, i got another number with which to call them.try this : PPAInformation.abuja@fco.gov.uk |
marcdeco: Hiif the one online contains all the standard info of bank statement then use it else print from your bank branch |
Ah bros, you are taking it too far o as far as I am concern. Simple questions demands simple answer.
What do you call simple question? |
sollie001: justwise please what do you think I should do. I'm nervous here.I can understand how you feel but keep calling and also email them, keep your phone close you because they may call back any time. |
sollie001: hmmm, 10:14 and still saying "out of office"Which number are you using? |

komakan: I'm speechless just need to be wise according to ur username but a pity u have forgotten to act according to... I think silent should be d best answer. My admonition, Be patient and tolerance when dealing with public. My advice for you is to stick to the rules and don't expect to be treated with kid gloves when you don't deserve such |
westcodes: Look how low this moderator has stopped, like I said: I'm out!I have to come down to your level to get the message across |
komakan: It is obvious that U are d one that lack a constructive manner of carrying people along.Just as you lack 'constructive' manner to obey simple rule. |
westcodes: I'm really sorry chief, would you be willing to teach me? Don't wanna drag this any further, don't choke on power bro. I'm out!Do you have younger brother/sister aged 5 or less? Ask them they will help you. |
sollie001: Hi everyone! hi justwise, I saw 2 missed calls from their 094623200 number. wasn't with my phone when it came. i.ve tried calling back this morning (past 8amm) and it's still sayin they're out of office. When should i call, please? also, what could be the reason for their call?Call them after 10am |
komakan: It is as simple as dropping of contact is against our rules in nairaland. Thanks. Why do i have to repeat over and over again? First page statement not enough for anybody with single brain cell? |
ernestleon: Now can you pleaseDone with you ernestleon, you have shared with it in the manner you want....move on |
westcodes: You also missed the part where I complained about PMs not going through? If PM didnt work, what would you humble sir have suggested we used?It will go through you bothered to learn how to use it or asked to be taught how to send PM here. |
justwise: Congratulations to DV 2014 lottery winners.I made this clear from the beginning , so what is difficult there to understand |
