Hey guys I want to explain my present situation. So basically I was a former student of a particular uni but was kicked out due to poor performance. This was then made known to the home office who then curtailed my current visa to 60days,which expires on 18th September.I am aware I have to apply for a new visa and have decided to make my application back in the uk as i am oversees and I have some of my documents still in the uk.Now i have been granted a place in a different university and i am waiting for my CAS document to arrive. So I wanted to know if i could use my CAS document to serve as proof for a legitimate reason for me to back in the uk when i get to heathrow immigrations. Whats your opinion on this guys?
Are you going for the same course or a different one?

thekid123: Thank you for your response, my school are saying that they won't re-issue a CAS if its the ECO's mistake. They are the ones who insisted on the admin review. I'm still lobying them to re-issue it though as I think re-applying would be faster aswell. Would my failure to re-submit documents from my original application affect my review? Thanks again

No, with admin review you are not allowed to submit any document to support your case, you can only state your case in writing.

thekid123: Dear All,

I'm new to this forum and I would like some help please. I was recently refused for tier4 visa and I have submitted an administrative review form. I was refused as the ECO claimed I had not payed any of my course fees even though my CAS showed all course fees were paid. Furthermore the ECO quotes the wrong fee in the refusal leading me to believe he looked at the wrong CAS when making his decision.
Does anyone know how long the review decision takes. Also would I need to re-submit documents I already submitted with my original application (eg. Bank statement)? Please your answers would be most helpful as I submitted just the form without resubmitting evidence and I am now worried. Thanks in advance.

Review takes time, reapplying will be much quicker and a note attached pointing out this ECO's terrible mistake, review will take you more than 2months.

You can print another bank statement, email your school immediately to get 2wks extension, in your email to the school attach the refusal letter.

Qaslay: I am happy to inform the house that I got my Visa yesterday. My application status was updated on Monday to "Processed Visa delivered to UPS...", and yesterday, the parcel was delivered. I didn't get an SMS alert before receiving my visa. I submitted on the 16th of August, so it took about 11 working days. My appreciation goes to everyone that has asked or answered a question on this thread, with a special mention of the master himself, Justwise.

I have been a rather quiet follower of the thread, though answered and asked 1 or 2 questions before my submission. I have benefitted from everyone on here and I must say I am impressed with the decent and matured comments. You guys are doing a great job. For those still waiting, I wish you the very best.

And I think Justwise deserves an award for the wonderful job he's doing here. smiley
Another great news, congratulations, enjoy your studies.

MissTeeq: Afternoon all! I've been an avid follower of of this topic, though I've been a silent follower. I applied and did my interview on the 15th of August and after 10 working days I got my visa. I just want to join others and testify of the great things that are happening here. I have never actually posted a question I just read other peoples similar questions and answers and followed the advise. Thanks to all the people who answered the questions so gracefully and for those who asked questions too, you have both been so helppful. God has truly been good and I give him all the glory and praise. In about 2 weeks I'll be headed off to the University of East Anglia, is there anyone else headed there? To all of you still waiting. Your testimony will be next. Thank you all and God bless you.
Congratulations!!

JideVince: Thanks so much, justwise. God Bless!
I usually don't reply to people when they ask the same question repeatedly after an answer has been given but your response to Don Oms's post when he raised the issue of repeated question made me change my mind.

That was matured and polite way of dealing with things and i give you credit for that.

Good luck.

JideVince: Yeah, I get you and that's exactly what I'm trying to avoid. I just wanted justwise's verdict too, that's all about it . So you reckon I can print the statement on the same 19th (provided it reflects as the date of closing balance/last transaction) and proceed to the UKVAC to keep my appointment on same day?
Definitely you can do that, even if you made a transaction the same 19th (to show closing balance) you can still print it out and head to UKVAC.

wolske: Thanks so much Justwise and all the others who have been very helpful on this thread. God bless you all. Justwise, please one more question, please which of the airlines offers the cheapest (and still comfortable) flight directly to London Heathrow? Plus, do you advise people to use travel agents to book flights? I ask because, it is at times difficult to know genuine websites of these airlines if one decides to book without an agent./ There is so much internet fraud these days. Thanks.
I'm not familiar with other airlines, i always use BA and book my flight directly from their website (not sure if its possible from Nigeria) I don't use agent, they will never give you cheaper rate compared to what you will get directly from the airline website.
Please my UK Student visa interview is on Tuesday in Abuja. 1)what questions do they ask?
2)Do i need a letter from my office to show that i have ties ere in Nigeria because i was rejected in 2011 because i was not working then.
3)My passport will expire April next year will that be a problem?
That got nothing to do with student visa, you are referring to visiting visa there.

Nothing wrong with your passport, you can renew it in the UK if given a visa

Well...if you don't have the required amount of money before that 800k was paid into your account then your 28days counting starts the day the complete money was paid into your account.

princessmoi: Thanks justwise. What about the birth certificate then? She said her mum was given indefinite whilst they lived there.
She missed the opportunity to apply for this when she was under 16 yrs of age since her mother was given a stay, her birth certificate does not mean a lot now interms of applying for passport or a stay because at the time when she was born her parents are not British or permanent resident permit holder. but she would have applied as her mother's dependant at that age, now as an adult, educated to that level its very difficult.
