kingoflag: Yes: Thats IF he decided to claim Nigerian citizenship because he was born somewhere else . You dont force someone born, domiciled and recognized from birth as a citizen of another country to become your national just because of what your constitution says.
Why do we call Peter Odemwingie a Nigerian?

onatisi: read ur comments again and see how u just shot urself in the foot.i asked for pictures, did i ask him to bring the pictures of the boy?i ask for picture of him and wunmi.get that straight.
u said i pushed the thread here, thank God every thread has the handle of the person that created it,does shopclue look like onatisi?
you guys that pushed carl in doing all those nasty things making him feel as if he was wining a world cup are now trying to change when sensible ppl are againt ur earlier judgement.
didnt u read where i told carl not to use nairaland to further his matter but to open another channel of communication in order to find an amicable solution?read my post well
This thread is in its 10th page now, you have made more than 60 posts only in this thread, single handily contributed to more than 3pages of this thread. What is wrong with you?
Nairaland General › Re: To The "Carl Allen" Personality. If You Have Something To Say To Me, Am All Ears by justwise(m):
onatisi: carl is an irresponsible man ,most likely the reason why shopclue took the kid away from him.how can a man who claims to be a responsible, caring and loving father paste the pix of his 5yrs old son on the net just because he is having a dispute ith his mother?noone asked for him to do that.he claims the pictures will go away that he is a genius in computers operations but alas the pics are still there.he lied twice withing a space of 48hrs by changing his statements.not good .he was advised by people here not to drag this issue on nl but he wanted to play to the gallery.
shopclue has her own faults and majorly she shouldnt have answered carl at least for the boys sake ,both of them arent setting good examples or good records for that poor lad.
that boy looks very innocent and cute just like everyone is saying i pray that God will continue to guide ,protect and be with that special boy and that may all these nonsense not haunt him in future
Aren't you a hypocrite? You are one of those that asked for pictures/evidences to prove he is Mr Carl, you pushed the thread from the other thread down to this place with your numerous IDs, its so disgusting to see you insulting and blaming everybody else apart from yourself. Why not back-off?

reginabellca: Goodday Just wise,

I need some advice.

Last year August 2012 I submitted an application for Visa to UK as a tourist. I stated that I had no friends and included my employment letter, letter of introduction, share cert and dividends, evidence of fixed deposit letter from bank,my savings account which is also my salary account, I had 700k in fixed deposits and 300k in savings. I booked a hotel but my salary is 80k a month after tax. I had put 120k as what i earn and also started that i would be spending 650k and ECO refused my application stating that the amount i propose to spend wasnt proportionate to my salary. The refusal letter for this application stated that I wanted to spend 5 times my salary for a vacation and the ECO was not convinced. They didnt raise any objections on me stating that i earn 120k per month.

My second application was in October 2012. I stated i had a friend and wrote his full name and phone number in the form. i applied again as a general visitor/tourist i supplied my employment letter, letter of introduction, share cert and dividends, evidence of fixed deposit from bank, my bank statement for 6 months and my hotel booking.I was still earning 80k after tax but put 120k as what i earn even though it didnt reflex in my account and they still didnt raise a brow. I stated that I would spend 250k. But they refused me visa and said i did not indicate what i plan to do in the uk even though i said i would be going with my sister and mum(they have visas) and i would be shopping and go sight seeing. The ECO said there is evident lack of planning and preparation for my trip and while its not a prerequisite, casts doubts about my intentions. The ECO also said i did not provide documentary evidence of my friend in the UK.

As I plan to apply again,my questions now are:
On my pay slip and account my salary is 80k, should i still go with 120k as before in previous applications.
Should I ask my mum or sister to act as co-sponsors even though I work?
what would be the correct amount to put as what i would be spending in the UK?
what do they mean by my lack of evident planning and preparation for my trip?
How do i then should them that i am prepared for the trip?

N.B: I have an unused senge visa ,what is the probability of getting another. They told me that they dont like it when their VISAS are not used. I traveled to dubai in april, it is ok just to say that i went for visit, since i would most likely be applying for visa again at UK for vacation?

Many thanks.
To be honest with you..if your condition hasn't changed since the last time you applied....its going to be another refusal. Asking your mum or sister to act as your co-sponsor will not change much, as an adult you are expected to pick up the total cost of the trip.

ericgold: THE LONDON CANNIBAL IS A BRITISH CITIZEN, NOT A NIGERIAN. BE GUIDED..

When the going is good, everyone’s happy, no doubt success has so many friends. But, when the going is bad, everyone’s advised to answer his fathers’ name, funny people. Muhajid Michael Adeboloja, born in Lambeth, South London is a ‘complete’ Briton. I refuse to agree he is Nigerian-born British Citizen; he is British-born with the British passport not Nigerian. No one should tag him to Nigeria; I don’t think he has even been to Nigeria before. He did not learn the “Beheading” business in Nigeria; he was born and bred in the United Kingdom, not Nigeria. If he was good or a star, they thought him and brought him to stardom, why can’t they take responsibility of their Citizen now that he’s bad? All I know is, a young British man beheaded a British soldier in London, yesterday. NIGERIANS should be left out of this nonsense, do not intimidate us.

Come to think of it, would they have said he’s Nigerian if he’d won a “Gold medal” for them? Think. Whether good or bad, he is a British Citizen not a Nigerian by any standard, I refuse to agree. Do not paint Nigeria and Nigerians in bad light, we’re not terrorists. Although, some idiots have connived with Al Qaeda to destabilize the progress of this Country, that does not make us terrorists. The heinous act yesterday was perpetuated by a British Citizen, he is not a NIGERIAN. Do not trademark this Country, please. NIGERIANS shouldn’t accept this “bad name”.
Now, may I without fear or favor aver that I “TOTALLY CONDEMN” this ill-driven act by this British boy on his fellow Briton, it is inhumane and unacceptable. I do not know the religion that accepts beheading, I am yet to see in the “Holy BOOKS” where beheading is encouraged as a way of meeting GOD. Until then, I do not know his religion; he’s probably a cannibal or so. This is beyond religious intolerance, he is a sycophant and do not know his religion. Or, he probably lacked good grasp of the teachings of his religion.

May I call on the National Assembly and ALL NIGERIANS to reject this act and say ‘NO’ to the tag, he is not a Nigerian. Nigerians don’t butcher their Citizens like meat, only BOKO HARAM and their sponsors do so. Mind you, BOKO HARAMites aren’t Nigerians in the first place. True NIGERIANS accepts Western Education albeit, we condemn what happened in London.
Please, say ‘NO’ to the terrorist tag on NIGERIANS, we’re not terrorists.
Boko haram not Nigerians?

I never met bunch of hypocrites like some Nigerians here in my life.

See as they are trying hard to deny that those terrorists are not Nigerians.

Peter Odemwingie was born in Tashkent, Uzbek SSR, Soviet Union with one of his parents a Nigerian but we claimed him, convinced him to play for Nigeria.

tdade: you contradict yourself, my man. If they can claim Agbolahon because he grew up there, why not Adeboloja?
They did not deny him, they basically pointed out his origin, he is of a Nigerian origin and a British passport holder.
Politics › Re: Michael Adeboloja 'Mujahid' - One Of Woolwich Attackers Is A British-Nigerian? by justwise(m): 9:58am On May 23, 2013
tdade: when the Agbolahon issue started, what did they say? They said although he was born in Nigeria, he developed as a footballer in Britain, hence, must play for Britain. The same is happening with Zaha and Sterling.
That is completely statement of fact, Agbolahon grew up, developed his footballing skills in the UK, paid by the UK tax payers so its only fair they want him to play for the UK. Any country will do the same. How come Nigerian govt is not investing in her citizens as the UK do but we only jump up to claim his origin when he becomes somebody?
will the Brits bother to trace his Nigerian route if this was a good news?
Yes they will, Omar Farah's history was traced when he won gold at the Olympic, his twin brother were traced to Somalia and interviewed, a lot was written about his journey from Somalia to the UK.

smokes: Anyone indeed has a RIGHT to choose how to pay their sevis fee, they also have a RIGHT of knowing their options its you who has no RIGHT denying them of knowing the options available to them. And that was no advert bro, just letting folks know they do indeed have other options which is more cost effective and hassle free as opposed to booking a flight ticket to lagos (for those of us not living in lagos or sitting in a bus for a round trip of 20+ hours) , having ones hands chopped off because you a clutching on your pocket too much so you dont get mugged or having to jump on okada or having to indeed dress like a tout (from someones experience) all because you are going to pay $200. Having compared both my options i felt going to lagos was much more expensive and way too risky than having to place a little above $200 in the hands of an organisation that has delivered. Some of us dont actually quantify our safety and security in monetary terms.

And here you are taking out that option because you see it as influencing people or an advert for the said organisation.

NB: Just saying from the sidelines.
Your level of hypocrite is alarming, so everybody has a right and i don't? Well...i guess i have made my points and will leave it at that.

That is what we all have been trying to say but people like desola and others are just so angry that they cant sit, read, and digest the information properly before replying. IF THE UK WANTS TO ASSOCIATE WITH GOOD THINGS THEY SHOULD BE READY TO ASSOCIATE WITH THE BAD TOO. No one can eats the persons cake and still have it...Nigerians are not a$s wipes for the Brits please.
While you are busying pointing one finger at British press the other 4 are pointing right back at you. Why are you complaining that the UK traced his route but we are not willing to accept him even with his crime? Is there anything wrong with accepting him now?

lalaosky: Yeah, but I don't see nigerian press hiding a white man's true identity when he/she. Achieves something great, postively. Show me bruv
British press is not hiding his true identity, they basically pointed out that he is of a Nigerian origin and that is true.

Of course that is always the case, we Nigerians do exactly the same.

Yes that is true and we Nigerian will be claiming that he is a Nigerian as well, so why are we not accepting that he is a Nigerian now?

Someone that prolly has never visited naija all his life has suddenly become a nigerian citizen?. Smh

If he had invented a brilliant machine, they'll be quick to remind us that he's "born and brough up" in UK

F00ls!!
I have to disagree with you, nobody wants to associate with evil, if the guy had invented the next best machine everybody including you will be quick to trace his Nigerian route, why are you not accepting him now as a Nigerian and want the UK to do so? You are basically doing what you accused the UK of doing
