The Church which Remains True to her God given Assignment will Always be Relevant.

Nevertheless, each one should retain the place in life that the Lord assigned to him and to which God has called him. This is the rule I lay down in all the churches 1 Corinthians 7:17

The bible says to love your enemy's, follow the commandments, to love jesus, and beleive in him. Follow him. Also to be good citizens but not fit in. The christian beleif is to do good through the word of GOd. So in other words christianity alone is only good.

Now the people behind it who claim to be christians and committ bad deeds are probably not christian and that's the real problem.

omicron: The fact is, these awards are not exclusive to politicians or some powerful figures in the Nigerian society. They are given to Nigerians and not Nigerians politicians. I dont need to screen that forgotten old soldier who lost his limbs in service to the nation....I dont need EFCC to confirm that village nurse in one of the most inaccessible community before recognising her, neither do i need to call for ICPC to screen the poor taxi man that returned money belonging to a foreign passenger before honoring him. The manner in which the award is given clearly shows we still have a long way to go regarding nation building. I wonder if there is any way the common citizens make inputs regardin these awards.

Just wondering if I am not a member of the federal republic.
Giving the award to a nigerian sounds stupid to me

If at all that award is going to be relevant, I think it should be awarded to foreigners who have invested heavily in the country.

That's my own opinion, or what do you think fellow honorable members of this great house.

I think as nairalanders we need to forward a bill to the house of assembly,requiring the screening of all awardee by EFCC,ICPC and other anti corruption bodies before they are given their award.

GCON award as now become beans(initialy Dangote,I thought GEJ should have learnt from the criticism that surrounded last year's ward,but look's like our president just doesnt learn.)I know he will give us the excuse that they(dangote and adenuga) are the highest employer of labour in the country.
Highest employer my foot(they are highest employer of labour because the nigerian system made them to,it allows them to monopolize)

I cant remeber the last time I opened a hard copy bible,not to talk of carrying it to church.

Nothing wrong,why on earth did you install the bible on your phone,I guess it's because of mobility,and besides you can always analyse each verse with a smartphone(check different version's at a time,commentaries,googling etc).

Infact when going for bible study in church,I advise going with a smartphone.

Dont mind them,am sure it is the poverty stricken people who cant afford a smartphone that are complaining,they are envious
