SIRTee15: It's not my business how people run their countries and it shouldn't be yours either. But laws are made for people and not the other way round. The gay rights law is unpopular in America and some neo-christian conservative states will soon pass laws banning such gay rights in their states just like they did with abortion. Pls take note of above because it I noticed u confusing westernisation with Christianity. There are Christian regions in America that do not support depraved behaviours. So just like America, if Iranian women do not want to wear hijab anymore, the govt has no right forcing them or sending them to jail not to talk of killing them. I repeat, laws are made for the people not the other way round. Even, hijab is no longer compulsory in Saudi Arabia as it's not popular among the younger generation. Forcing people to live in a manner against their will is antagonistic to the basic right of an individual. That's what u lots don't understand. I have no sympathy for these Iranian or Saudi Arabian women. When they are in their countries, they do not want to wear Hijab. When they go to a better country with human rights, they suddenly want to wear Hijab. Some of them have taken their employers to court because they disallow the use of hijab. |

asanausana91: do you guys have brain at all? You go to his house and obey his order, he comes to your house and start giving you order again? What does it take him to do his interview without looking for what she wear. Maybe some of you don't know who is Amanpour. She said she has interviewed every Iranian President since 1995. Mind you, Amanpour has interviewed almost all the president of this world, if Amanpour can interview Putin of Russia, Xi of China, north Korean president, US president, The queen of the world (queen Elizabeth) who is Iranian President? Who is this frustrated soul now? The man has the right to demand she wears a head scarf anywhere. It does not matter whether he is wrong or right to demand that. CNN needs the news more than he needs to clear the air about the killings in his country. Her CV does not matter here. People have also demanded they be allowed to wear scarf even where it's not allowed and necessary and they got what they wanted. |

Ulunne777: Bring her back oo.My neighbor sent her daughter away like this to her boyfriend only for the guy to give her another pregnancy barely 2 months after birth of the first pregnancy which now resulted in twins.
2 16 yr old children totally dependent on their parents. Now the boys mother sent the girl away with the babies ,say she like prick too much and after ppl begging the girl's parents, they now accepted 3 babies . .
Manage one now before the poor man will turn her to a baby factory May you never lack. I seriously wonder how people think these days. How would a right thinking person dash out his daughter because she got pregnant. Where is the sense in that? |

Survivor2020: My 17 years old brought shame to me last year she got pregnant, I have disowned her and sent her packing. She is staying with her boyfriend in his family home. She gave birth 5 months ago she has been sick ever since she had the baby and the boyfriend doesn't have any money to take care of her. Plus the living condition is not suitable for her in her condition. I have forgiven her and I want to take her back home so I can take her to the hospital for treatment but I don't want her to come with her baby . Please note there is only me and my 7 years old son at home. I work and my son goes to school till 5pm. I don't have time to babysit the baby. I want the father to take care of his child while I take care of mine. I hope my decision is not bad? You are the definition of a bad father. How will sending her off to the boyfriend house solve anything? The fact that she got pregnant under your watch shows you failed her as a parent. To redeem yourself, get your daughter back, continue training her as you should then discuss with the boy parents on how you would take care of the baby. How exactly do you people think? |

zabimaru: @op. You are right to be irritated and disgusted by the kind of lifestyle and career path your mum has chosen, it's not abnormal for you to feel this way. But I'd tell you for free, it's a blessing to have a mother irrespective of how involved in your life she has been. Many people will choose to have a slut mum over a deceased one (I thank God I am not in this category of individuals). Not having a mother sometimes is way better than having a terrible mother. Some people are dead now because of their mothers. Besides, the boy has support, his Dad, Uncle and grandparents are enough. Let us change that line of thought please. |

South Korea’s Troubling History of Jailing Ex-presidents https://www.aei.org/foreign-and-defense-policy/asia/south-koreas-troubling-history-of-jailing-ex-presidents/
Half of all living former South Korean presidents are now in prison. On October 5, 2018, former president Lee Myung-bak was sentenced to 15 years for embezzling 24.6 billion won (roughly $22 million). Lee will join his successor, disgraced ex-president Park Geun-hye, who last year began her 25-year sentence for various charges of corruption. Lee and Park’s lengthy prison sentences may seem striking for an established democracy. But the reality is these sentences are not anomalies; rather, they reveal how tenuous South Korea’s hold on democracy really is.
That took me all of five minutes to find. If I wished to waste more time doing so I could have found thousands of interesting links for you on China alone. Not to speak of the other Asian nations. I didn't even mention Vietnam, Thailand, Indonesia or the other Asian countries where abuse of power is rife. Are you comparing this to what Americans and Europeans have done? If you dig deeper, you'd see Asians are saints to Americans and European based on this basis. Corporal punishment isn't abuse. Spanking a child isn't abuse as well. |

America is a terrible example - it is by far and away the most violent, crime ridden nation in the industrialized world. Asian countries allow Corporal punishment and they turn out to be better humans than most American and European adults. What is your basis for saying Corporal punishment is abuse? |
