After the initial viewing, I tried sneaking back in for the second one ('cause it would be showing again on the same screen), but one of them GD guys caught me and I had to pay another 1k to see it. Well, here's what i think: - Pretty girls may cry at night, but Ugly ones wail all the time. - Pretty girls may be misunderstood sometimes, but Ugly girls are TOTALLY ignored. - Pretty girls may wish to be plain once in a while; Ugly girls however will give ANYTHING to be pretty. Ehen, now that i've cursed u back, lemme put my ''civilized'' cloak back on and reply... - When i said ''smart'', i was refering to Fashola's political acumen; this is totally different from morality or fairness. It certainly goes without saying that the gov'nor has a hand in the mix-up. But by passing the buck of responsibility to the Health Ministry (where it rightly belongs, if i might add), the man has cunningly extricated himself from blame. Now if that isn't politically smart, then i dont know what it is. I personally believe that a workman deserves his wages, and thus i sincerely hope that the striking doctors still have a curve-ball or two in their bags to force Fashola's hand; knowing politicians, i don't think the ''sympathy'' card will work this time. |
