deomelo: They did not ask the states to provide land for heardsmen from the north or other states either.
They want states to volunteer and donate land for the national livestock program for them to develop and allow investors from anywhere to invest and set up livestock business including grazing, animal husbandry, animal clinics, meat processing and packaging businesses and generate IGR at the same time. Oga, stop trying to be clever by half. Most of the cattle herders in Nigeria are Fulani. That's why we hear of Fulani herders attacking villagers and raping women in many states of the federation. Any land given to settle herders and their families with their cows is basically given to Fulanis. It's just like the government deciding to map out land all over the nation specifically for spare parts dealers, when we know it's mostly Igbos that are involved in the business. |

abbey621: This right here got nothing to do with religion, once the claim makes it to court forget the religious angle, this man will be fighting for his life! To say the pastor is unworthy of being a religious leader is one thing, to say he's a serial rapist is another. The later can lead him to years of eating slightly cooked beans. I understand your point. Personally, I wouldn't want him to go to jail, even if he's a rapist. I prefer he repents, confesses his faults, makes restitution and be forgiven. I know that will be impossible if he's convicted in court anyway. If he's found guilty and ends up in jail, so be it. If however Timi and his wife falsely accused him, let the law go against them too. |

abbey621: Many more victims of rape? Yea right? It's not enough that a case of 20 years ago with no proof is successful in bringing him down now we are calling him a serial rapist with many victims? Please don't confuse extra marital affairs or sleeping around with RAPE, anyways let it all come out in court. If the bastaard is guilty, let him hang but if innocent let the liars spend some time in jail. Well, it's been consistently mentioned that teenagers are involved, therefore there may be other cases of statutory rape hanging on his neck. For me as a Christian, I am as concerned about his extra marital affairs as I am about the rape. He is a pastor, and should lead the church by example. Go and read 1 Tim 3:1-2. If he can't control his sexual urge, then he should resign as a pastor rather than bringing shame to the body of Christ. |

Benekruku: If I want to be fair and go by the recommendations of those that antagonised my humble and honourable self when I was in support of RUGA,
I will clearly state that the Ultimatum is well deserved. Many quoted me on Nairaland saying "RUGA should be done up North ONLY". Fine! And now they are also telling you to go trade in your region. Anybody that needs your product would come and buy in your region.
I think its fair with all honesty. If a Fulani or Hausa man is limited to trade in certain parts of the country, then I think other tribes should be limited to trading in there own region too.
I feel does that came for head when I was supporting RUGA can now find a better resolution to the impending doom that stares at us at present.
The English people call it "Tit for Tat" Warri people call it "Do me, I do you" Men call it "An eye for an eye" You're being grossly insincere, and it's a shame. Fulanis were advised to buy land and build ranches in the South, instead of being given large expanses of land for Fulani settlement, which we all know will ultimately turn to Fulani land. It can't work. The Igbos trading in the North all rented or bought their shops and residential houses. Neither the FG nor any state government gave them the properties for free. Why shouldn't Fulanis buy theirs for their business? If Fulanis want Igbos to exit the North, then the country should simply divide. There are no 2 ways about it. |

He already stated that it did not happen, what more do you want him to say? In advanced countries when you accuse someone of a crime, you provide credible evidence to back it up. Your testimony of an event from 20 years ago with no independent witness, no rape exam, no shin shin is USELESS. All it gets is public sympathy, it would be interesting to see the judge that would convict him absence of real evidence! Did you watch the video of yesterday? Do you know that there are many other victims, and some of them may be willing testify against Biodun? He may not be convicted solely on Busola's case, but on the cases of others who will join in the suit. Releasing that video was strategic in bringing out more victims who couldn't talk before, whose events are more recent, and who may have more tangible evidence. Let us just sit still and watch events unfold. |

Nairaland forum is not the best way to handle rape case , and trying to shame the said pastor is either not the way . Things should be done properly , she should approach the relevant authorities to seek justice ,instead of social media if she really had the proof . Oga, there are loads of them, and I'm sure they are mostly the ones that liked your post. You can only speak for yourself. The people who were carrying fake news that Timi was a choir master in COZA, Busola a choir member, they were married in COZA by Biodun, and he gave them a car as wedding gift, what were they? Is that what you call using one's brain, as they were spreading unfounded lies against Timi and his wife? Some others insisted it was an affair they had and not rape. How were they sure? Some went on to say Timi is a fool for letting his wife open up that she has been raped before. Some of them even insisted that he would regret it, and his marriage would take a hit in the near future. I guess all those people were using their head. Taa comot!! |

He will be fine if only he is willing this time for real. My concern is whether he will be willing to go through that fire and servanthood. This is God's own way of chastisement. God loves him so much because some people never got the chance he got. Many died in the sin and went straight to hell. After the whole phase, he will come out stronger just like the men of old and even here in 9ja the likes of Bishop wale oke and co... Oba Alanu ni... Bishop Wale Oke committed adultery with just one of his members. We are talking about a serial rapist with at least 18 years history. His ministry has so far been built on immorality. Timi met his wife a virgin(he said that himself), someone accused her of infidelity and sleeping with a coza pastor sometime ago, Timi and his wife were choristers in the church and somerhing transpired for them to leave.. The allegations of her infidelity and past sexual encounters would have triggered Timi to question her seriously, seeing her marriage is online and there are people threatening her with it she then came out to play the rape and victim card.. GoTV:
As a born again Christian who is meant to speak the truth at all times, i think we Christians cum southerners has overblown the good intentions of president Buhari on this issue of Ruga settlement. We complain of how Fulani herdsmen are destroying our farms and killing people without facts, yet we we reject a program meant to isolate cattle herders in a confined location nationwide. Before we blab further, let us remember that the Fulanis are Nigerians like us and the Nigerian constitution guarantees them freedom of movement and doing business nationwide. If an igbo man can have multiple shops in Ladipo, Alaba, kano and other places, why can't we live peacefully with the Fulanis like we tolerated the igbos who are the most traveled tribe in Nigeria I hope we Christians have a rethink about this so we can have lasting peace Did the governments of Kano, Lagos and other states where Igbos are doing business map out hundreds of hectares of land for Igbo settlement? Let's even make it simpler, did Kano or Lagos state governments build shops and give them out free to Igbos for their businesses? Just like Igbos buy or rent shops and buy, rent or build their own residential houses in the various states where they are, why shouldn't the Fulani be made to acquire their own property? Why can't they buy land in the South and build ranches? You're a very insincere Muslim, always masquerading as a Christian, and it's disgusting. |

You can bookmark this page ! It will only hurt them, if they lied against Pastor Biodun. I can't say with certainty whether he raped her or not, even though I feel more strongly that he did. Even if he didn't rape her but only had consensual sex with her, I feel this should serve to put his sexcapades in check, knowing that he's a pastor. About them having issues in marriage, are you saying that if they divorce in 2 or 3 years time, it would definitely be as a result of this issue? All the other celebrity marriages that have crashed in the past few years, were they also as a result of publicising a rape case? As a matter of fact, there are more celebrities with broken marriages than those whose marriages are working. I don't see how Nigeria being a religious country has anything to do with the present issue. So because Nigeria is a religious country, that is why the tide will turn against Timi and his wife in the future? I really don't understand that point. |

lexy2014: That's not true. They are witness testimony. If she claims a meeting took place between her family and some coza pastors, then that's good ground 4d prosecution to lay a case. Whether or not d said pastors would deny is conjecture & speculation. Do u no if all these pastors are still in coza? If they are, aren't they d same people who took part in advising Fatoyinbo to step down? The 2 pastors mentioned: Pastor Flo and Pastor Wole are still COZA Pastors, pastoring Lagos and PH chapters respectively. They are under Pastor Biodun, so can be bullied by the ministry to deny the allegations (if a legal action is instituted), except they choose to resign their positions. My knowledge of legal proceedings is actually deficient, but I believe that witness accounts of family members are insufficient in bringing about a conviction, in cases like this. |

They are not Nigerians.
It's the north that enabled them because of religion.
They are not religious but use it as a tool. They want a place to settle and call home. Nigeria seems ok and vast for them but their mistake is that the south is smarter and wiser than they are.
Southerners don't like bloodshed but When push come to shove they will run.

People have sex without hiding it, porn actors and actresses have sex live and yet some of them are almost seen as celebrities. Let me also let you know that millions of Nigerian ladies are rape victims, so it isn't a big deal. I would rather marry a girl who has been raped before but has healed fully and isn't affected by it anymore, than marry a girl who has committed an abortion. Infact, I will even chose a rape victim with no emotional or psychological baggage than a lady who has had consensual sex multiple times before. A girl whose only sexual encounter was a rape has far more decency than the regular girls you guys sleep with. |

IamD18: The disgrace is yet to even start.
This is what happens when you don't think before bringing your family and sensitive issues on social media for sympathy and judgement.
The earlier people understand that Nigerians on social media really don't give a fvck about you, the better for them. They'll only get entertained with your shiiit.
Reactions, trend, attentions, different judgment, sympathy and pity are what you'll end up getting. You won't get justice, but you'll be popularly be known as a rape victim or a false rape accuser.
Believe me, you'll hardly see a Nigerian husband who'll be foolish enough to allow the whole world know that his wife has been raped before, when he can easily report to the authority.
Common sense, Timi and his wife no get!
Social media isn't a court of law where judgement in cases like this are carried out, it's a world where strangers are always ready to catch trip with your shiits. Simple question for you: if Timi and his wife had sued Pastor Biodun, and a case of rape was instituted against him and a hearing has started, do you think the news won't be all over social media now? Won't everybody by now know that she was raped? The only difference it would have made is that the noise would have been less, and perhaps there wouldn't have been protests. If they needed more victims to join in the suit, how would those victims have known before the commencement of the trails? You see, Pastor Biodun is under spiritual authority. There are men of God he reveres, and they are the ones that made him to step down. Biodun can lie to the world, even the justice system, but he cannot lie to those people. Those are the people that matter more in this case, and I can bet you that they are already involved. The court alone wouldn't have achieved much, cos Busola didn't have any tangible evidence. Biodun would have denied all the allegations in court. With the involvement of those pastors whom Biodun respects, he cannot but admit his guilt (if he is actually guilty as charged). Busola and Timi also put their reputation on the line to save others. Don't think they were stupid, and didn't know people like you would come and shame them online. They were very much aware, and I'm sure they are ready to bear the consequences. If speaking out will make Busola heal, it is much more important to her than what people like you will think about her later on. If it will also save one or more other victims from the same predator and men like him, then it would be worth it at the end. Finally, your attitude is the reason why rape will continue unabated in Nigeria. As you guys keep shaming rape victims, you're discouraging other victims from coming out, thereby fuelling the evil of the rapists. This is clearly rape apology, and it is almost as evil as the actual rape. |
