@OP, nothing new here! What you narrated is what people call Abuja wedding/marriage right here in Abuja! |
longjohnsilver:I swear, I was having same thoughts while reading the news. All of a sudden they are bending the rules because (1) an american and (2) a whitey is involved. The guy is even hoping she turns to Islam but people like Ese Oruru were not given such choice before forcefully converting her . The hypocrisy is just stinking! |
Blindersoff:Hahha, hypocrite you say?..I laugh in French Someone clearly said Science has no answer, the best you can do is call me hypocrite. I laugh this time in Arabic! |
bergs2:Blindersoff, above is a proof of my initial comment. |
kimlee3:Gbam! |
Blindersoff:Kikiki science brainwashed ilk indeed. Yet religious fellas are the ones trooping into hospitals every day to benefit from the fruits of science. Learn to appreciate science, science does not involve playing god. Science is just basically gaining knowledge of facts through observation and experimentation. If these knowledge of facts turn out to be helpful in medical fields, engineering field e.t.c then we apply it to our benefits. That's all! Nothing more to it! When you see silly comments from people that science can never do what god can do, you begin to ask yourself are these people ok? Why those it have to be a fight vs your deity? The comparison is unnecessary especially when most of what you enjoy today is all thanks to scientific breakthroughs! Some of these breakthroughs were even by religious people! Where those religious people also trying to fight their god? Blindersoff:Gbam. Fair enough! You are only re-echoing my position on the subject. Blindersoff:Once again fair enough until you got to the part where I cancelled. It is an unnecessary comparison! Science does not claim to know it all and do it all! |
Felixamos:And so? Like I care about what you think. Shift please... |
Felixamos:One of the cavemen that should be teleported to stone age era spotted! |
From comments on this thread, it's quite obvious many religious Nigerians think science is the enemy, to the extent of rubbishing scientific breakthroughs that have helped humanity. I wish these fellas can be teleported to the stone age era to better appreciate life without the fruits of modern day science. |
edoairways:This is not true. Many Nigerians are ready to pay, they just want to pay for the correct amount of energy that they have consumed. Many people pay 8k, 10k, 15k per month for a bill that will not cost more than 2k if on prepaid meter. Some people hardly stay at home and are at work Monday to Saturday, yet they will be billed 10k or 15k. A few weeks ago, my estate committee found out a way of bringing a contracting company to supply residents with prepaid meter, right in the estate. It was cash and carry and the installers come to install in your house immediately. Come and see the way many residents were rushing to pay and get prepaid meter like the way people rush for free stuff! Yet, they were paying N39000 for single phase and N70500 for three phase. Where did all this money come from? Those that didn't have sharply borrowed to get themselves one. Why do you think they were rushing the prepaid meters? |
Gwilym:Yes, we are ready to pay, just come and install prepaid meter for us. Is it that hard? |
aadoiza:This is irrelevant. aadoiza:You have not answered the question. "Yes, I would allow him to save me or no, I wouldn't allow him to save me " would suffice. All these grammar about bragging and fear of death is just beating around the bush. |
aadoiza:If the only doctor that can save you in an emergency situation at the hospital is gay, would you allow him/her to still treat and save you? |
tribalmall:How many Hausas |
Patrioticman007:Arabs didn't make them, Indian mathematicians did. Those numerals originated from India and were adopted by Arabs who in turn brought that style of writing to Europe by Arab merchants. You asked us to google these facts, maybe you should take your own advice. |
Okay ,we have heard but is Arabic by chance an official language in Nigeria? If yes, leave it on the naira note, if not, remove the damn ugly inscription from our naira notes. We don't need it! |
Lol...Can't believe I was actually amazed back then at these stories of undecomposed bodies of saints. Let's assume for a minute, these are real and no tricks involved, of what use is an undecomposed body to the world? A cadaver donated for scientific research is more useful to the world than these undecomposed bodies! This god spends more time in preserving dead bodies but can not even drop the cure for cancer or any of those terminal illnesses ravaging the world. |
Free publicity for this Netflix movie Nothing a strong VPN will not solve for brazillians interested in watching it. |
Lol... The chicken has come home to roost! Same format Adeboye, Oyedepo and co were using to badmouth the Catholic church when they were becoming popular is the same format this Okikijesu is using. Nice marketing strategy Okiki! In some years to come, Okiki and his set will also be on the chopping block! |
I don't even care about CardiB. I'm more concerned about the people replying her, especially the yoruba ones, who don't even know that Khadijat/Cadijat is not a yoruba name. |
People having headache over him dancing na wa oo! Some people have already started typing epistles sef! That was not even the soapy dance steps, he probably would dance the same way in this video to any other song. |
Godsonkemz:No one cares about that your god's reward especially those affected by this wildfire. This girl's humane action beats whatever reward your petty god has in store for her. All he has done so far is watch while wildfire rages in Australia and kill people and turn others homeless. You can sit behind the comfort of your PC and be typing reward for immorality up and down while proactive citizens actually do something to help their fellow citizens. You think Australia is Nigeria where religion beclouds your reason to help people. ![]() |
M.I should fix up himself jare! ![]() |
Yawns! |

Alvin212:It is only a handful of Northern political leaders that will still remain rich even if the Northern population have the numbers to win every election in Nigeria till eternity. The rest of them with their 4 wives and 25 almajiri children will continue to remain in poverty. They should keep popping out those kids. Hunger does not respect anyone. |
I'm going to blame this one on religion in Nigeria. That is how one mumu Nairalander with the name j.esus.jnr came here and was preaching that the use of condom by married couples is a sin . Sadly, such ignorant opinions do make frontpage. Many Christians will believe such crap as long as you can cherry-pick one or two Bible verses to support such opinion, which is part of the reasons people keep reproducing like rats. I asked him if he was married and he kept dodging. If you are not married with kids, you might not understand how tough it is even for those with good jobs to raise just two kids. I have even read right here on this forum where some people were asking, "what is the business of married people with condoms?" You would not understand, when you see that increment in school fees by September, body go tell you make you buy packs of condom put for house. ![]() A colleague/friend of mine after three kids secretly went to do a vasectomy without informing his wife. I applaud his courage as e no easy at all. |
ddippset:€70 is 28k. That's like paying Nigerian minimum wage to those families. |
mu2sa2:Nothing significant. They spend the most part of their time arguing on which church (out of the thousand denominations in the world) has the best doctrine. The most ridiculous argument I have heard is using the size of Church auditorium to measure how their church is better than the next person's church. However, in modern day Christianity, these disagreements among Christians seem to be harmless most of the time. The worst(or best) you can do is go ahead and set up your own church if you disagree, unlike their counterparts in Islam who can threaten someone's life because of disagreement in Islamic teachings. |
That donation of €70 per month to poor Senegalese families is the real deal! Sadio Mane thumbs up! You can never understand the situation and the feeling, if you have never helped a poor family financially. |
Nothing good comes out of mixing religion with running a country, always hatred and division among people. |
