FamilyRe: Appreciation With Sex. Men Why? by Kimoni: 4:44pm On Jan 10, 2015
You have no AGREEMENT with him!!! And you consented to NOTHING!!! Job referrals are given everyday and it doesn't tie anybody down.

And I do not even believe he has the power to fire you where you are as long as you are doing your job well.

But enough of the silence, now is the time to reply his messages sternly and tell him you don't want any relationship from him. And pls, keep his messages and your responses to him. They might come in handy.

FamilyRe: Which Bank Can Help Me Save Up Money To Get A New Car In 2015? by Kimoni: 3:04am On Jan 09, 2015
If you need the car so badly and you have a regular income stream and some excess cash, then you could take a loan. Your excess cash will serve as equity and there will be a domiciliation from your salary account to the loan account. Also insist that you be allowed the option of prepayment or part termination without any charges accruing to you for doing so. Hence if the loan is initially for 2 years but you get some bulk cash before that, you can always use it to reduce the loan and end up paying off the total loan before the 2 years given by the bank.

Fixed deposits and Tbills are short term investments but should be invested with a long term horizon if a substantial interest is expected from them.

FamilyRe: Wife Rejects $975 Million Divorce Cheque by Kimoni: 1:28pm On Jan 07, 2015
It's not about the amount on the cheque, it's about how much she is truly worth. If she can prove she is worth more than that to the judges, then so be it.
FamilyRe: This Has Been Going On For Too Long, I Need Advice by Kimoni: 10:20pm On Jan 04, 2015
Hahahhahahahahaa I feel your dad a lot. In his own time, there was probably nothing like winning a phone from a radio station so he can't fully come to terms with it. Also, he may feel your inability to secure an IT placement is pushing you to become desperate.

In all of this, he has not erred and neither have you. You just need to communicate with him more, give him all necessary assurance that you are still a good son despite ur trials and he will be happy to let you be. You can't solve the issue with him by using force!

Insist you can't pay this much for a jobless wife, if they really want you to pay so much, they should get their daughter a job to increase her value, then you will gladly honor the engagement list. mtcheewww

FamilyRe: Do You Live In Ikorodu? by Kimoni: 1:15am On Jan 03, 2015
sinorte:
I know quite well that it's never going to be an easy and comfortable choice to make. Our intended movement to Ikorodu is not a matter of trying to cut cost. We would be paying as much at Ikorodu as we we're at the moment - 300k per annum. Our experiences where we're staying presently is making us to ensure we get as much value for our money at our new apartment. And this Ikorodu apartment is offering just that!

Myself and my wife both know that the Ikorodu option would come with its stress. But, yours sincerely, I'd gladly consider 2 or 3bed option in 'town' here that wouldn't eat into my pocket too much, and one that'd offer me the option of 1yr rent.
Maybe there is something we don't know, what value are you talking about really? Closeness to some family or school? the large and spacious rooms?

I lost an old colleague of mine last year who was living in this ur new area, maybe her death had other issues, no one can really say but she just slumped and died on her way from work one day. She had been stressed out and weak for a while.
Another one is always having issues with his bosses cuz he loves to close early to meet the boat, while others don't mind working late when there is work to be done, to him it's a no no.

Anyways, it's ur choice but think am well sha.
FamilyRe: Do You Live In Ikorodu? by Kimoni:
Why don't you get a 2 bedroom flat in a closer location? On the long run, I think the physical stress and other side effects accrued from living far from ur workplace is costlier than the savings you will be making.

Will she be taking the boat to VI from ur new location? That's shorter but very expensive as well and if she will be going by road, that's suicidal, I don't encourage it at all. The long hrs in traffic, the dangers on the road, the long absence from home and kids...to me it's never worth it.

@ evina should I stop paying my tithe for the next 3 mths and settle my bills? Yes or no? That's my question. Because wifey is making it seem like am a sinner, she says we should trust in God, fine I agree, but I need to make plans.
Your request amazes me. You want people with different views and religion to tell you something that has to do with your personal faith?? Who does that? Don't you think each person will advise you according to his/her own personal beliefs that may be in contrast to that which you believe? Don't you have people of similar faith that you can seek advice from? smh

Good luck as you get all the validation you are seeking to do that which you have already purposed to do.

One of the taboos of our land, rest in peace little angel.

Give it to Lagos State that has banned kids, multiple persons and pregnant women from taking bikes.

Not 100% compliance I agree but we'll get there.

FamilyRe: Family Heavily Indebted by Kimoni: 2:09am On Dec 24, 2014
Op, you say you live in the Eastern part of Nigeria and you still think your mother can file for bankruptcy?? I can't seem to reconcile these two statements.

Anyways, the problem with the family is not really the loan, the problem is you and ur siblings' wrong perception of who is responsible for the loan. The major reason the loan has grown so high is that you have all assumed it's ur mothers primary duty to repay back the loan. Sorry, it is not!

Pls, you and your siblings should henceforth have a change of orientation, you are all responsible for the loan and she is just a mere middleman who took the loan on your behalf. Once you guys see it that way, I can assure you the loan will be fully repaid in a very short time.
