Just tot of something. Is it possible that mothers connect here before going baby shopping. Those that want to go to the same market and on the same day can then meet up and do some joint shopping. Might add more fun to the shopping experience and then two heads(or more) are surely better than one. #mythoughts

Did you go alone? Try to take somebody else with you next time if you didn't. It's very tiring shopping during pregnancy so you tend to haggle less and of course the market women tend to capitalize on this. Ndo! All na experience.

@ rezzy - your hubby must be a funny man. Reminds me very much of my own father, na so the man dey strike out all my provision list those days in boarding school. It is well jare.

Try using a travel cot instead, but you will have to get a proper cot mattress to place inside. It doesn't cost as much and can be folded up when your baby moves to a toddler bed.

For newborns, you can get a good Moses basket or a travel cot with a raised base for newborns and remove it when your baby starts sitting up.

Pls, I have got exams to write dis week and next...and it's like my baby ain't cooperating at all...been having headache,symptoms of fever..and to crown it all,painful and frequent contractions,sometimes I purge too...am still in bed now,havent moved a bit since Dh left for work

I know there are some of us that coped with exams and pregnancy..pls how do I do it? Both the exam and the baby means a lot to me..

I can't tel my dh al ds cos if I do,I am automaticaly grounded and I can't afford to wait till next year to write the exams again..

Take ur mind off the pregnancy symptoms, I know it's easier said than done but applying the mind power is key here. For this 2 weeks, let ur mind tell ur body it is not pregnant.
Also, take it easy with ur books, read more during those infrequent periods you feel strong. Rest if you must, sleep if you will but continually tell urself you will write this exam and pass. It's more of a mind thing I believe.

Hmmm alright. This is what I want o.

Godfearing- simple we need God in all we do, I'm not saying he should be a spirit koko but he should at least know God.

My friend- I can't date or marry a man who is not my friend, he has to be my friend because in him I will confide my all so he as to be my friend, father, brother and all. This is very important to me.

Hardworking- He should be hardworking/ready to work. I don't want a GEJ for a hubby but one who together we will work to raise a strong family. I don't plan to be a liability on anybody because life has gone beyond that and I'm not lazy, all I'm doing today is for my family so I can't stand a lazy man.

Simplicity- He has to just be very simple from his way of life to every other thing....maybe It's because of the way I was brought up but simplicity rocks.

Family values- He has to know what family means, I want a man who if its garri we have we will take it and it will be between us, a man who will have misunderstanding with me and even tho he is very upset will will when calm talk to me about it and not the one that will drag me to his or my village square for settlement.I've told myself that no outsider will come settle anything in my marriage, man proposes God disposes but I will work and stand my ground. I can't post more on this because the little I've posted should give an insight to what I mean.

Real- My man has to be real, if its 50 naira he has fine, I will also add my 35 naira and together we will stand not pretending to be one thing... The very moment I realize my man is fake so far I'm not married to him yet I will run very far from him. if scattering the house is his nature let us know and not trying to impress me, try to impress me and keep increasing the rate I will dislike him. He should be ready to cut his coat according to his size lol.

Forgiveness- I'm not perfect and surly I will offend my man but if he has that spirit of unforgiveness it will be dangerous because such a man can kill. I'm only human and sure not prefect and in sure he won't be perfect too lol.

Understanding- he should be understanding in all ramification of life. I can't shout o.

OP, 5minsmadness has spoken most of my mind and he has kinda hit each nail on the head.

But I really want to let you know that everybody passes through this stage and somehow, most ppl overcome it. You mustn't get too emotional about things like this, there are bigger battles in life and even with her so pls you have to choose ur battles.

And don't think too much about ur surroundings, you owe nobody no story the way you live ur life, I think that's part of where your insecurities are coming from. Believe in yourself, believe in ur abilities, set ur own goals and strive to achieve them, once your dreams start falling in place, your confidence level will soar high and you will start caring less about what people think of you.
