EducationRe: Is It Good To Laminate One's Certificates? by Kimoni: 3:54pm On Dec 08, 2014
Ezibless:
Scanning after lamination doesn't alter it,right?
For documents with seal and other security features, lamination impairs your ability to verify these features.

No wonder, I already checked your profile. I understand your ignorance better now.

The minute you said they don't have nannies in the "West", I should just have discontinued the argument. My bad!

all am saying is, you dont need a houseboy or a housegirl. and if you decide against all odds that you need one ? please treat them like you treat your children wink
You are indeed very myopic and unwilling to learn. In your own world, only disabled people need help with their kids. Smh. Your lecturers dey try gan ooo. Hopefully, as you get older, get a job and start having kids, you will learn from experience.

Good luck kid.

listen, those workers you mentioned are registered with the state and they are paid very well for their services and can maintain themselves with the money you give them so they have no need to do evil to you. now lets look at a housegirl. you are exploiting the poor girl. you are more than likely rich, she sees how you live, you buy your kids toys and send them to the best schools while you have another human in your house that you exploit and pay an amount of money she cant live on, you probably treat her like crap like when she is in the car you push her to the back seat or when you introduce your kids gushingly to your friends you dont introduce her as a loved one, all the while you are damaging her morale and self esteem, a fellow human being like yourself who just happens to be underpriviledged and you are taking advantage of that and exploiting her misfortune. WHAT YOU THINK GOING TO HAPPEN WHEN ONE DAY SOMETHING IN HER HEAD CLICKS AND SHE SEES THE INEQUALITIES OF LIFE ? SHE CAN POISON ME OR MY KIDS OR BRING HER BROTHERS FROM TOGO TO KIDNAP MY WHOLE FAMILY OR KILL MY WHOLE FAMILY AND STEAL MY CARS. IT HAPPENS ALL THE TIME
Are you normal at all? What are you rambling about? I thought your argument is that only disabled people need help with their kids? Do you now agree that logic is wrong?

Lest I forget, I made some corrections to your post above.

how busy can your work life be ? over in the west they have busier work lifes and they dont need strangers in their homes called houseboys and housegirls. you just lazy. thats all there is to it cheesy
1. They don't have busier work lives, they have a healthier work life balance except when you choose to do multiple jobs.
2. They have babysitters, childminders, nannies, au pairs etc who help busy parents to look after the kids.

The only difference my dear is that they are better regulated and come recommended by licensed agencies.

EducationRe: Is It Good To Laminate One's Certificates? by Kimoni: 9:44am On Dec 08, 2014
The dirtier your certificates looks, the more authentic it is, laminated certificates are prone to fraud cuz they can be used to cover alterations so foreign organizations and embassies may reject them.

Pls do not laminate ur certificates, don't mind how dirty and old they will look in later years, that actually confirms their originality.

How easy is it to just switch off and move on knowing ur child might be out there somewhere? Easy for some and impossible for some.

the only thing I'll do for now is to make sure I dont lose sight of her. I'll keep tabs on her but won't try to communicate especially since that's what she desires. the future will determine my next action. No irrational step for now.

FamilyRe: My Husband Is Flirting.... by Kimoni:
@ mutter - your thinking is very flawed I must confess.

A man flirting or cheating does not mean he is unhappy or there is something deficient at home. A cheating partner will still go ahead regardless of the state of his or her home. Most times, it has little or nothing to do with the non-cheating spouse. The cheating person is either a serial cheat or an opportunistic cheat. Where does the non cheating partner comes in here?

And in those exceptional cases you mentioned, what happened to communication and other means of resolving issues at home?

Talking about trust, what is trust built on? How do you trust someone who has let you down once, how much more severally?

In advising young married women like you say in extra marital issues, the first thing any counsellor will tell you is that it is never the other party's fault if the spouse go ahead and cheat. Heaping the blame on one partner is a very wicked and devilish thing to do.

God has given us all the gift of freewill and what we do with that freewill is entirely our responsibility. And that is where any true reconciliation will start from - taking responsibility for your actions!

Her fears are deeper than what you can imagine. Sit her down and try to know the source of her concern, it's only then you can allay her fears to an extent.

Unfortunately, the prognosis doesn't look too good. This trend might continue till mid-next year...shame on our leaders. Saudi Arabia has enough reserves to cushion the effect for years, Nigeria couldn't even do it in a week. Shame!

FamilyRe: Marriage With 80000 Salary Per Month? by Kimoni: 2:47pm On Dec 04, 2014
I know people surviving on that amount and even less. Drivers working in Lagos earn about N40k on the average and you find a lot of matured and responsible ones with families amongst them. Most times , the wives are engaged in petty trading and I am not even sure they make up to N60k per month.

Yet they raise children you will be proud of anytime you see them. Agreed, occasionally they need a raise once in a while but then, who doesn't. It's all about cutting your coat according to your size.

FoodRe: Why Suya Isn't Being Sold In The Day Time? by Kimoni: 12:00am On Dec 02, 2014
Because they do other jobs during the day. In Lagos, you see them pushing different seasonal crops and vegetables like yams, carrot, lettuce etc at daytime, then retire to make suya in the evenings.
