Stop eating anything that contains fat completely. Your belly is very sensitive to cholesterol compared to other parts of your body - looking at your statement.

Okay the reason I asked the type of delivery was because if it was CS, then you'd have to give the scare a lot more time to heal. Anyway, not applicable. If you can, continue bbreastfeeding as much as you can as bbreastfeeding helps the womb to contract a lot faster. As per targeting the lower belly, two options:

Traditional method: Ask an elderly family relative to "press" the belly with hot water, and to tie it tightly, even to bed. If this is done consistently for a couple of weeks, the belly would "snap" back into shape in no time.

Modern method: Targeted lower abs workout. However, I'm not sure which one as it's not been too long since you had your baby. I think Edwife and Chillisauce (the six-pack team), might be able to answer this better than I can.
Lol@ six-pack team.

Thank Efe, the breastfeeding and sit-ups helped flatten the upper belly but this lower belly fat just won't go away. Let me wait for the six-pack team.

Chillisauce and Edwife, pls help oooo but pls don't mention broccoli eba, I take God beg una

Six weeks is still early days. Did you have your LO (little one) by CS or normal delivery? And are you bbreastfeeding?
early?? I resumed classes after 2 weeks...fine, everyone thought I was crazy but I was feeling very ok

Normal delivery, just random breastfeeding...

I just did my 6-week check up and was given the green light. My tummy is 70% back to normal except that chunk of fat below the navel, I hate the sight of it. I have been trying sit-ups and long walks and it helped slightly but I need a workout that will specifically target that area. Pls help a sister sad

Lordy lord!

Was just thinking of you! Ahahn...you just abandoned this thread? cheesy

Yeah, I don't ask anymore about our beans. I even bought some today and only remembered as an afterthought that perhaps, I should have asked the Naija lady if she had any...

How does the brown beans taste? Is it any different from the white (black-eyed) beans. I remember vaguely as a child one time when some beans was cooked. It just didn't taste like the "normal" beans. Very peculiar. I can't even remember if I liked it or not. I sure would like to try it out again now...
cheesy cheesy cheesy

Been looking at you all from a distance ooo I just can't keep up anymore sad
Babyosisi is my classmate for now cheesy cheesy

I ate the white beans once as a kid but I also cant remember the difference in taste if any...maybe the difference is in the cooking time and the look except Edwife will tell us the nutritional difference between the two cheesy cheesy

I recently bought the white beans but there has been no motivation to cook it, the brown beans taste perfect to me
I want my brown beans cry cry cry

My sister it's not oh!

I've scoured the whole of London (well, kind of) for our Nija black-eyed beans but can't find it. You know, the ones with holes and weevels in them! Anyway, I've long since given up. I think, perhaps, our Nija beans didn't pass the very strict food safety standards we've got over here So rather than not eat beans at all, I've had to make do with the ones I see over here. Thing is no matter how much you cook them, the beans nor go gree "scatter". That's why they come out looking dry, even though they aren't...
I was wondering why it was scarce too until one of the Asian managers told me they couldn't pass thru anymore. I was looking for the brown ones though....

Shame...that was my main source of protein cry

Beans are a welcome addition to weight-loss meal plans because they are packed with essential nutrients and help keep you feeling full for long periods of time. The do have beneficial nutrients when you’re trying to shed pounds.

So a good portion of beans won't arm you. They don't add weight unless she eat bigger portion and other things....

Black beans, red or any kind of beans have low GI...about 50
Hahaha

And Edwife did not disappoint....

In other matters:
This season is all yours, tomorrow is another day!

Congratulations!!!

OMG! so so sad.. usually b4 induction, ur gynae palpates d tummy to b sure baby is in right position. also, u are asked if u av any complaints (possibly 4 a scan if need be). & while on induction, mother n baby are checked frequently say every 30 mins. it's d fault of d hospital abeg, am just angry here. wish I could lay my hands on d docs n nurses on duty dat day n give dem a piece of my mind! 9 mnths for nothing!!! If labour doesn't progress, a CS is advised to save baby as induction can stress a baby wch is most likely what happened to ur friend nt endless waiting.. shuu! pls lets know d name of d hosp n location. hugs to her, its well. God wil replace her loss soonest.

PS- expectant mums, pls n pls, try and read preg n delivery materials- it goes a long way so u can monitor happenings and question ur docs n nurses so they know they are nt dealing with a novice they can just bamboozle.
Everything you have said cannot be overemphasized enough. The hospital was negligent and should be blamed here. Induction itself is quite harmless. The baby and mother should be checked often to ensure they are not stressed out and should have been wheeled to the theatre immediately any sign of stress is observed. And this is the same procedure for a woman going through natural labor so I wonder what went wrong with the hospital team. Sheer negligence!

Mothers should also try and read up like you said and ask questions in the hospital even if you are irritating the medical team cuz I know in Naija, the doctors don't really like you asking too many questions but it is your health and they can't love you like you love yourself.

Sorry I am ranting and repeating all you said. It is so annoying and heart wrenching losing a baby at this stage all due to human carelessness.

Went for the 6wks immunization today and my baby has bn fussy since, cries uncontrollably. Is there something I cn do to ease d pain? Already used paracetamol.

If the place is not swollen, give paracetamol for 2 days more and if it persist, you can complain to the doctor but he should be fine.
