kaboninc: The woman is not under much more pressure as you mentioned.
In actual sense, the man is.
A woman is married off to another man who uses her to sustain his lineage.
A man sustains his lineage. Thus he is scared of extinction. Shoroniyen |

olu4life: I totally get the drift. Yes, we know our society give men more room to cheat and be forgiven than the other way round.
About that particular thread, felt like responding but didnt. And I stated earlier, our level of forgiving differs, wwhat A accepts, B might condemn if in the same shoe. I also advised the OP to move on if the husband is yet to apologise and be remorseful. NOTHING CAN BE DONE IF THE HUSBAND REFUSES TO ADMIT HIS FAULT. Thats why I assked some questions earlier to the OP.
Hope its now clear on where I stand on this issue?
Lastly, speaking from the man's angle, dont forget the pressure he might be getting about child ish. BUT DOESNT MEAN HE SHOULD GIVE IN TO THE PRESSURE. Note my words in capital letter. They are both under pressure my dear, infact, in our society, the woman is under much more pressure even when the problem is not from her. |

prettytrust: Congrat to all d mama's pls ooo with my issue of premature labour since 34wks now am 37wks plus thru d hlp of injection but it has not been funny at all wit d serious pain\contraction I do have but nw my doc ask me to com yestiday I refuse cos he want to induce me but am really scared of d pain cos my last baby was also induce n it was nt funny at all.pls is dare anytin I can do to mk it painless.i was thinkin of kpekusin all thru d day n also makin my hair or smtin dt wit quickin d deliverin.pls ur response are needed. Kpekus all you want my dear...it's allowed But what you really need to work on is your mind. Your issue is more of psychological than the physical pain. I have had babies via induction and naturally before and I honestly don't see the difference. The pain and timing were not significantly different IMO And remember, no two deliveries are the same, just pray for God's strength and good health for you and your baby. I also dont advise you to run from your Dr, your baby is now full term. You've come a long way with your baby already, just go and shait your angel out |

olu4life: 100% Its not story of someone told me or someone distant. Its over 4yrs it happened
#GBAM... How can fellow women be advising divorce at this stage. Do u expect marriage to be a fairy tale? Expecting everything to go smoothly? Whats happens to conquering the storm? So even if the husband cheated, and so f***ing what! Next is divorce?
OP ask these women advising u if they have not had close experience in theirs before. Some will just be vocal online, meanwhile they are like slaves in their home only trying to console themselves. Enough of the hypocrisy in this section. U better dont let faceless entities ruin ur marriage. Check deep within u, u know the prompt response but just waiting for advise to suit urself. Sorry for been harsh but truth be told, u need tto takee charge of ur home. Divorce is only allowed when all trials is in vain. So if u leave ur house, what next? Remarry? And face same Challenge?! Woman get up, dust urself and TAKE CONTROL OF UR ZONE
And if any of u so called advisers feel insulted, feel free to lace the shoe. Olu, can I ask you 2 simple questions. Are you married? If your wife whom you love and trust so much cheated on you severally with your own blood brother, what will you do? Fight for her love all over again? Sincerely, answer these questions. There is a thread that got to FP yesterday where the guy said he forgave his wife for cheating on him for 5 years with a younger person and I did not find one guy that supported this act, instead, they were all insulting him for daring to forgive a cheating wife. And a lady that "mistakenly" asked if he truly saw the chats proving the infidelity got dragged all over the thread. Now, back to the question, why should forgiveness only lie with the woman and never with the man? Because women don't get hurt or they probably don't have blood flowing in their veins Only a man is allowed to start divorce proceedings? But with a woman, it's a taboo?? And any woman advising it must be a hypocrite?? But when men advise divorce to a cheating partner, it's okay? Please show me exactly where the hypocrisy is coming from. |

Ibadangirl1: Hi, please do I need to choose an appointment date myself or it is automatically given to me. and also I am having troubles retrieving my completed e-passport application form. I cant find it anywhere and I heard it is one of the requirements. You choose a date yourself after making the online payment. Go back to your home page, there is a place somewhere there where you can print your form. I had to do a bit of searching too because it's not conspicuous but it's definitely there. |

Congrats Ifefunmi. God has made the delivery process a mystery. You are feeling so much pain one second, the very next second after seeing your angel, you are so joyful that you will gladly go through the pain all over again. And it doesn't stop there, after like 2 years, you'll miss pregnancy. You'll will feel like getting pregnant again How does one even begin to understand that? |

justwise: Nothing much has changed in that regard then, was the same case 5 years ago.
Did you book appointment or you went without one?
Thanks for your reply though I paid online recently but I can't recall it giving me any issues. Maybe I was lucky. I advise you still try and make the payment online before you go to avoid unnecessary drama and time wastage. Your appointment page comes up after paying and that's the first thing they check before you are allowed into the building. It's better you go early and finish early cuz the system was consistently having network issues when I went so those that didn't come early would have had to come back the following day. Bebe2, many thanks for the tip on using the registered envelope. It saved me the stress of traveling down 10 days after for collection. |

cococandy: no kidding huh?
I fell down the escalator once at that Dubai airport. High heels, handbag, luggages, jacket draped on my arms.... Everything was in the way. I lost my grip while trying to haul myself and all my orisirisi on at once and fell. Thank God I wasn't hurt. Nne I can't try running on that thing o. The memory is still fresh in my mind. Ndo! Blame it on the high heels and the different orisirisi I avoid wearing high heels when traveling The distances between some terminals is just crazy |

ElDeeVee: Hmm u may b right in some of ya assumptions sha but I don't think 6months is such a short time...if d man sees someone he likes even if its just 1month after his wife's death, he can go ahead..remember death has part them already I honestly agree with you, even if it is one day after, let him remarry. I personally got no issues The only problem will be when tables turn and the woman wishes to remarry, even when it's 10 years after, the whole world will remember she is a slut who never loved her husband and killed him so she could remarry several years after. Women need to start thinking of themselves first and not what people will say. The word "woman" should stop equating to "suffering" in Naija. |

@kimoni so u ve neva treated ur baby 4 constipation? If yes, wat did u use? My dear, I am sure they'll both catch the drift on why I called them to advise you and really, their method works wonders! To your question, luckily, I have never had cause to treat my infants for constipation, somehow, they always tolerate their formula perfectly; but as toddlers, yes; infact, severally and what I do is to give them more vegetables and fruits especially orange and bananas and encourage them to drink lot of water. If you are breas.t feeding, you can increase your intake of fruits and vegetables as well and it will help your baby. |

tchiwinnie: Forgive me, bt i really dont undstd y some mamas dont hv confidence in their drs. U shld cross check d info u get here wt ur dr and nt d oda way round. I think dat confidence is impt, if u dont hv confidence in him, I ll suggest u use anoda. Dont misunderstand my post, bt I m finding it difficult understanding y u re afraid to tk a drug he prescribed and y u didnt ask him questions. I concur 100%. I see that many mothers don't really ask their doctors pertinent questions even when they have serious doubt, we need to understand it's part of their job and resposibility to enlighten you on whatever they intend to give or do to you and you have a right to either refuse or accept it. I know some doctors get offended when you ask questions but you really shouldn't care, it's your body, it's your life. |

Woged2005: Same thing, sweetheart - She is more difficult to be manipulated, lied to, fooled or cheated on because she applies her skills, training, technology and savvy to the relationship. Lying and manipulating an educated woman is outright insulting because when you do that you are questioning her intelligence and education. Mutual respect is the key. Respect her! An African adage says "it's respect that makes two dogs to lie down and roll for each other, not that they are afraid of a fight" You know I kind of disagree with this... Being book smart is entirely different from being street smart. There are two different skills altogether. A lady who is street smart (and vice versa) will lie, fool, cheat and manipulate a guy who is only book smart and not street wise (vice versa). One has to have both skills to detect a lying or cheating partner. |
