Blessgerald: Pls mamas my 2 months old baby has dandruff on his head and I tried d olive oil then soft comb after 15mins but it pulled his hair now he has bald hair. Wat can I do for it to grow, should I cut all his hair Pls leave the hair, it's not dandruff and it will go on its own. It happens to all babies. There was no reason to do any special combing. The hair will also grow on its own, pls do not apply any special chemical to his hair. You can cut the hair if you wish. |

imurboss: Thanks my lovely sis, I truly appreciate ur comforting & encouraging words, I know for sure that the battle is of the lord & HE will never desert HIS own. Thanks mama Whose report will you believe?? Stand on his word and set ur mind at peace. Do you have a few people you can confide in that can constantly stand in the gap for you on this matter? In a case such as this, I would personally feel more comfortable having some close people praying along with me. It is well |

Firstimer: wow! you mean, till 4yrs ur kids didnt fancy juice, ribena, bobo like other kids do. I like dat o. Abeg give me tips. How about when they see their peers with those sugary drinks, like in school, how would you know they didnt beg The ice cream shared in parties actually broke the jinx but luckily, they had learnt to eat a lot of meals without adding sugar. Basically, I just didn't add sugar to their food as infants and I avoided giving them sweetened drinks. |

FexCathy: Pls my mamas, I don come again. I rily hate dis rash or whateva it is on my 3wks+ son. Some pple call it 'imibe' but don't know d english name for it. It starts like a tiny pimple kinda den I guess it bursts and spreads to anoda area becos befor I know it anoda one has appeared. It den flattens ouy and then peels off. I initially tot it was diaper rash cos it started from his private area but now its all over his neck. Pls any1 wit similar experience cos pple say its vry common wit babies & what can se to make it to away? Thanks. Most times, these things are inevitable with babies even though we all hate it on them. You can apply Shea butter though it would still clear off eventually. |

He'll be 6mnths old by the end of this month and i plan introducing home-made rice and oat cereals Thanks in anticipation Not needed at all. Juzzybabe: Thanks. Really the baby and I are fine we have never had any health issues or whateva not even family case,my mum even assure me that she labour for max 45 min with no issues. My baby is fully positioned I only wonder y the doc was so fast to talk about admission and induction. My phobia for hospitals has been making restless since yesterday but take to your advice if no show by then but I know God will work it out. God will surely take charge. Pls ensure you get valid answers from the dr, sometimes they do these things for monetary reasons That's really my concern here God bless |

Juzzybabe: Hello mother!!! Am so worried and I need advice and answers. It's my first pregnancy and am 39 weeks gone. I went for antenatal today and my doc ask if I have been contracting,I told her I can't tell the kind she talks about but I know I feel some discomforting pains in my abdomen and anus. She said am due for delivery and am supposed to be contracting, well my she suggested I come for admission on Tuesday if I don't go into labour before then and by tuesday I will not still be 40 weeks. I asked y admission if no show, she said so that labour can be induced. It got me worried!!! Please mothers,is she exaggerating or are there things I can do to induce labour all by myself? Note:my baby has been kind of restless in the belle, always moving. You are actually contracting. Those pains you feel in your abdomen and anus are false labour so you are fine. Speak to your doctor again, if there are no health concerns with you or your baby and ur water has not broken, tell them you will like to wait for another week and continue taking your walks and other activities. True labour can start anytime from now. Not sure why they want to induce you when you are not yet 40 weeks. Induction done before 40 weeks is due to health concerns. That aside, induction is really not a big deal cuz most women go into labour when induced, only in few cases where the induction does not work that C/S would have to be done. Ultimately, the most important thing is ur health and the baby's. How the baby comes out is less important. Cheers |

tchiwinnie: ever heard of cottonbud getting stuck in sm1's ear? Dont u think dat cld happen in d bum too. D lil finger does d stimulation better. Ask any dr. It poses no harm at all. I disagree o. I still can't imagine sticking an adult finger into a newborn's butt hole as a remedy for constipation. You realise how fat some people's fingers are? even the pinky? That is anal molestation! A good quality Cotton bud (not the ones sold in traffic) rarely get stuck in the ears if it is used gently talkess of the butt hole. Anyways, each to her own. Cheers |

MiracleMum: Yes she is on ebf. With vaseline i inserted my little finger in her bum and she pooed an hour later. She's already pooed 3 times today. Thanks to all the mothers who responded, it helped calm my fears. Thank God your baby has pooed but I am a bit uncomfortable with you using ur finger. I think your finger is too big an object to be entering into your baby's anus. Why don't you try a cotton bud instead? |

mydreams25: May God bless our little ones. Pls my sabi mamas is it true that wearing diaper for a baby throughout d day and night isnt good? Some people said its only when the baby is going out that its necessary because it causes rashes and its good to free the bumbum at home. pls kindly talk from experience and if yes how wil i manage the urine and poo when at home without using diaper. You can air the baby's bum before every diaper change. After cleaning the bum with wipes, wait for about 5 mins before wearing a fresh diaper, this helps to prevent rashes. |

Seriously mothers!!! Haba why in the woorld would you feed less than 6month old child PAP!! What's with mothers and pap I'm yet to wrap my head around it. My kids don't touch pap before 1yr. I totally dislike it. Let's not go with the "trend". Its clearly not advisable to feed pap to a small baby whose digestive system is not fully developed. A lot of mothers won't really tell you the side effects of this method but will come online and encourage u to join them in the "trend". Having babies aint a joke, you need to be ready all round. For, cereal, ebf etc. My sister, I just weak for some things wey I dey read o and mothers here seems to be in agreement... One month old on pap?? Baby on pap, salt and oil?? Like seriously?? We need to understand that some side effects of what we do don't materialise immediately, so the argument that, "I am doing something which everybody says it's wrong but my baby is doing fine" does not hold, some things take months or even years to materialise. Just like a smoker who tells you he has been smoking for years and he doesn't have cancer so smoking must be good...fa fa fa fowl Back to the issue, true a few babies are ready for semi-solids at 4 months but there is still a lot of limitations to what they can really take and that's why only very few cereals starts from 4 months, most starts from 6 months. Even when we are going to give pap, pls lets vary it with millet and guinea corn and not just maize pap. I will go with starting from 6 months except advised otherwise by an expert. May God guide us all. |

I can bet my 2 cents the DIL didn't tell the MIL an outright no, I am sure she would have said something like "mama, can I please reprint these copies you have chosen and send them to you" This is the norm when people like your pictures and want to have copies but agreed the OP didn't explain at length what she really said. It was wrong for the DIL to get physical with the MIL but it was even worse for the MIL to slap her DIL, even slaves should not be treated that way. And the fact that she is insisting on having the son throw her out of her matrimonial home even when the wife is ready to apologise immediately tells you who the primary aggressor is. But then, did most posters really justify the DIL fighting the MIL on that thread? that's not what I observed or was I reading the comments upside down |
