vislabraye:You are talking about civil servants, isn't it? How do they become rich when they are always on strike for increased salaries. Yes, some MDAs (CBN, NNPC etc.) pay well but most comfortably rich civil servants loot public treasury. On the other hand, most Nigerians earn a living doing menial jobs. Others have created wealth from talents like Davido & some from naturally being creative. |
Davido started his tertiary education in the US but relocated to Nigeria. He studies music in Babcock University. Education is a means to an end but must not be formal education. A higher percentage of Nigerians have higher education than persons in some developed countries but are we doing better than their citizens? Persons like Davido should be celebrated in Nigeria. His contribution to the entertainment industry, tourism and economy of the country is enormous. |
Ayu's solution to Nigeria's problem without mentioning restructuring & resource control is quite unfortunate. His people are the foot soldiers of the Northern feudal Lords. They like their masters are the beneficiaries of the unitary system of government introduced by the military. The OBJ he is condemning enhanced the political fortune of the middle belt. But they always prefer to align with their northern conservative brothers instead of their progressive ally in the South. |
dominique:The guy is very irresponsible. Had unprotected sex with a lady, got her pregnant & wants to deny the pregnancy. The lady is most likely an Ibibio woman from Akwa Ibom. There is nothing like fetish cleansing with a goat. Usually if a lady is pregnant before marriage, the suitor gives the father of the lady a goat to calm him down for having canal knowledge of his daughter before marriage. The guy is not wise. He needs to do a DNA test when the baby has been delivered to prove his point. |
edoman2016:The problem is not creating cattle colonies but creating cattle colonies in the South & Middle belt where land is predominantly used for crop cultivation. The North has a large expanse of land for creation of cattle colonies. Facilities should be provided for creation of ranches there. Modern cattle rearing is technology driven. |
There is something fishy about this story. There are a lot of unanswered questions. How many months pregnant was she? Which hospital was she attended to? Why was she operated? Was an ultrasound scan performed after the trauma & before the decision for surgery was taken? Obviously, she was not managed by a specialist. |
The situation in Benue State is appalling. It just shows the level of retrogression in the country under the present leadership. No amount of cattle is worth a human life. No group of persons should continue to retard the growth of the nation. Change is inevitable, opening grazing of cattle is outdated, cattle farmers should embrass ranching. Finally, cattle is not the only source of meat. Other forms of animal farming: - poultry, piggery etc should be encouraged. |
No group of people can commit this kind of crime against humanity & go unpunished. This is the peak of barbarism & draws us back to the dark ages. They are cursed & it shall never be well with them. |

You're the one that is not realistic. So what has changed. Nigeria is still burrowing to implement the budget, pay salaries etc. Recently nigerians are being sold as slaves in Libya. |

In terms of youths development, Atiku is better than PMB. Look at the elderly aides around PMB. The country needs a youth friendly leader. |
Can you bring the car to Jalingo? |

Taking him abroad for treatment is not a bad idea. The only issue here is that public funds will be used & the public is not informed of what his problem is. At his age if he has a massive hemorrhagic stroke, the prognosis is poor. We need to have world class hospitals in this country. The situation is becoming embarrassing. To me his trip abroad is to score a political point. |
There is nothing abnormal in giving birth to a macrosomic baby (birth weight > 4Kg). However, the labour should be supervised in a hospital with facilities for emergency caesarean section. |
Olisa Metuh is a fool. GEJ lost elections in 2015 because he depended on greedy, selfish people like this man. He was given N400m for a job he never did. Instead of returning the money, he diverted it for his personal use. What concerns GEJ with his misfortune. He should tread carefully if he wants his head to remain intact. Politics is not a game for green horns. |
The Fulani herdsmen cannot base their existence on shedding of farmers blood. The incessant clashes with farmers has made their obsolete method of cattle raiding a threat to humanity. Their refusal to be civilized is a threat to national security. The open cattle grazing method has no advantage to the modern cattle ranching method. The opening cattle grazing is obsolete, produces poor beer & milk yield & is a major cause of armed conflict in the country. In view of this, the Fulani herdsmen were labelled a terrorist group by International organizations. The reason why ranching has not been accepted by cattle rearers is due to reluctance to invest in purchase of land & acceptance of modern technology; poor government policies & agricultural development plans; porous borders & illiteracy. Solution: Bills to ban opening grazing is in order. Government should provide incentives to encourage investments in ranching. All cattle rearers involved in opening grazing should be registered & disarmed. |
emperormossad:Pulmonary embolism has risk factors & can be prevented by early immobilization & use of anticoagulants. |
There are a lot of causes of maternal mortality Post-op. The commonest is hemorrhage with hypovolaemic shock immediate post-op or with anaemic heart failure subsequently if not detected & treated on time. Others are deep veinous thrombosis, sepsis, hypoglycemia, pulmonary oedema from poor fluid management, aspiration peumonitis from general anaesthesia & pulmonary embolism. Complicated malaria can also be a cause of mortality if not diagnosed on time & treated promptly. The cause of death of this woman cannot be ascertained from this write up because information on her management is scanty. |
Foolish, hopeless illiterates mortgaging their future for peanuts. |
Osyabj:God forbid, APC has no portion in Anambra State. The guy is not a governorship material. Who knows where he bought his certificate. |
If not for mediocrity, what will take this man to the State House. He is not just a disappointment but an embarrassment to the nation. |
“I will not however talk until I get clearance from my principal on the matter and I look forward to addressing anxious Nigerians on the matter when I appear before the Senators,” the minister said. The statement credited to the Attorney- General of the federation is disappointing. Indirectly, he has implicated his boss. These people have nothing to offer this country. |
We still have a long way to go in this country. Who conducted the autopsy? This case cannot go far without a toxicology report. The CP should lie down to avoid embarrassing himself because he is not a pathologist. |
Hope it is not a flood savaged vehicle? |
The desperate move by a broke Federal Government. |
I'm disappointed in the doctor that posted the story. The decision on the delivery of the woman was poor. The woman should have had an elective caesarean section at term. Long history of subfertility with a co-existing uterine fibroids is an indication for caesarean section. Finally, what killed the woman? Probably hemorrhage. How many units of blood was available for the surgery, who operated the woman, where was she operated, what method of anaesthesia was used? This kind of story is not a good one. I doubt if the healthcare provider is a doctor. The case needs an audit by the Medical & Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN) & the Nigerian Medical Association (NMA). |
I thank God for delivering me unhurt after a RTA 3 months ago. The car, a 2003 Toyota Corolla somersaulted & 2 front airbags were deployed. Was able to fix the car, travelled with my family from the North to the South & returned despite the bad roads & break down. To God be the glory. |
princeunugwa:Had an accident with my 2003 Toyota Corolla. 2 airbags were deployed. Probably hers had been deployed previously & the airbags were repacked after the accident. The airbag indicator lights must have indicated the fault. |
The lady is very lucky. Has reasons to thank God. This is one of the disadvantages of driving used cars. The airbags did not deploy meaning the car must have had an accident before. The seat belt must have been replaced or weaken by the impact of a previous accident. All the same, Good luck babe! |
The educational curriculum needs an overhaul. Nothing is working in the country. No industrial revolution, no good administrators, food scarcity etc. Of what use are the First Class graduants? They may end up as lecturers & continue the cycle of poor productivity. |
