fulanimafia: 2. The constitution is the supreme reference in the affairs of Nigeria so you have no choice than to abide by it or have it amended. How do you intend to convince the required 2/3 to vote in favour of your referendum amendment when you're busy insulting, blackmailing, threatening and spewing hatred at them daily through your agitation?
Awaiting your civil response. No one is going to go to your Nigerian assembly to get referendum. Besides this being a complete waste of time (no Nigerian National assembly is going to vote to either have a referendum or let Igbos go) why would Igbos be going to a national assembly for their freedom when nobody went to the same national assembly to include Igbos in Nigeria? Which national assembly did Lugard go to in other to inckude Igbos in Nigeria. If nobody can tell us then it means that Igbos are being held hostage |

Obiano is an unrepentant morron. Obiano, you were there, you heard that unarmed people were being gunned down in your state. Instead of you to rise up as the chief security officer of your state and condemn this broad daylight murder, you went to a Mosque in Onitsha to make sure it wasnt damaged. You cared more for the welfare of a building than you cared about the welfare of people being shot and killed while exercising their right to freedom of expression.
Now you are speaking to Biafrans on their 50th Anniversary? The same Biafrans who lay in hospital with bullet wounds you did not care about?
Shame on you Obiano. If it were not the fact that you belong to the party of our Great Ikemba, you would have been a goner 8n this years elections |

Hypocrites Removing Biafra from the history curricular was one of the ways Northern Military leaders hoped to kill any mention of Biafra. What they simply failed to understand is that once an ideology has taken root, cutting the stem off is of no use as it will grow back again. The only way to kill an ideology is to have superior ideology to the existing one. Nigeria hasnt got that |

shachris02: Nnamdi Kanu is a criminal. He's an opportunist that has mastered his art from the very best. There's no difference between Nnamdi kanu, Mohammed Yusuff (boko Haram), Osama bin ladin (Al - Queda/Isis) and other extremist out there. They all have one thing in common, they capitalize on the general frustration of the people to propagate pacifying ideals that the people only dream about (equal sharing of wealth under the islamic law for mohammed yusuff with boko haram, Biafra eldorado for Nnamdi Kanu with biafra).
That said, the truth is Biafra as a Nation died with the war. Every other thing you are made to believe now are just mere innuendos. You can never have the biafra of old with the present crop of Igbos and Igbo leaders we have. Oge ahu aga go!
Tomorrow, the so called biafrans would be remembering their fallen hero. The trust is, most of them do not even know what those heros died for. They didn't die for you to be bowing down to your fellow man (aru!!). They didn't die for your get rich at all cost syndrome. They died to give you the freedom and freewill to emancipate yourself from self pity and mental laxity.
My people have always believed in the oneness and strength of the individual mind (igbo enweghi eze). Nnamdi kanu is trying to destroy this very core of the igbo existence. He is a con man that has ridden with the times to propagate ideals that are very dangerous to our very existence.
As we remember our fallen heroes tomorrow, let us also bear in mind that Biafra is not some eldorado kingdom where everything that plagues the igboman would be settled, Biafra is now. Biafra is in your hearts. When you help your fellow igbo man, that is Biafra. When you bring your businesses home so that your kinsmen would be gainfully employed, that is Biafra. Biafra is an ideology, Biafra is not a place. One Nigeria apologist/unity begger. Do you know why what you wrote above is trash? You are far more focused on the messenger (Kanu) than the message its self (self determination). Self determination is an inalienable right of man. You dont have to like Kanu, Kanu is not leading IPOB in other to win a popularity contest. What is important is for us all to aknowledge and respect that it is the right of the indigenous ethnic groups of the land to decide for themselves if they want to continue with British colonial identity known as 'Nigeria' imposed on them, or, if they wish to continue on a different path. |

Chigboboss: I'm not a coward or pacifist (as called by some ignorant brothers) but a REALIST. Stop the UNNECESSARY taunts towards the North and ponder on the following;
Can we match the northern controlled Army, Air-force and Navy?
Do we have any arms or weapons stockpiled for any eventuality?
Do you know 99% of Nigeria's military establishments and armories are in the same north you are bragging against?
Are the IGBOS in the north not 15x the number of northerners in our homeland so would suffer the hardest blow?
Do you want millions of our kinsmen dead again because of pride that will take us nowhere?
Do we have the US/UK as allies like the north? Did you see what they used their US/UK influence to do to poor Jonathan?
Did your father experience the war and tell you of the horror they survived? Do you know up till now my mother is traumatized whenever war is mentioned?
Returning fire for fire is not by sitting and punching sentences on your keyboard. Stop letting your fingers write cheques that your skin cannot cash. I am a PROUD IGBO man that fears nobody but I am smart enough to know my limits.
I implore all REASONABLE brethren to storm social media and debunk the "Cow named Buhari" tale and I implore my IPOB brothers to shelve the slaughtering of that cow because it is hugely SYMBOLIC. Nobody is saying cower and fear the northerners (Tufia!) but stop the unnecessary taunting.
I have lived long enough on earth to know how to pick my battles wisely. A word is enough for the wise. Look man, if naming a cow Buhari can result to just one person (Igbo or not) be attacked or killed then it is incumbent that Igbos leave Nigeria as fast as possible. Would any Northerner be attacked if they call their cow 'Ojukwu'? Lets hear word |

Jaideyone: just a few days osibanjo talked about learning from history but these mor0ns will never listen.
the driving factor in the killing of the ibos prequel to the civil war was the killing of the premier of the north and the taunts that followed by ibos living in the north.
yes hausas have a lot of uneducated street urchins that can become weapons of murder but the ibos are not helping matters either.
if Buhari is 74 (official age maybe 80 real age) and its normal for old people to have health challenges. as a Yoruba man and an advocate of a better Nigeria (true federalism) I believe he did the right thing handing over to the VP but I don't support his decision to seek ,medical care abroad.
yes it's OK to call for his resignation or maybe even impeachment but wishing the man dead and attributing geriatric illness to God's wrath and saying all sort of silly things in just dumb. what do we have to gain by making inflammatory statements about the presidents health and wishing him dead? you might not like his policies but playing politics with someone's life and wishing him dead makes you just as bad as the uneducated Hausa fulanis who are ever willing to kill innocent people.
long story short the ibos are just as guilty in destroying the unity of this country as the Hausa and Yoruba. in fact the ibos are trying harder to pull the country down. God forbid Buhari dies there will be jubilation in he south east and that will fuel another round of hate and probably killings in the north.
we are the architect of our own misfortunes not the British that brought us together So after thus your whole write up, why not support Igbos going their way? Igbos have tried to do this before, you Nigerians fought to bring them back |

Politics › Re: Advice for IPOBs by kingzizzy: 10:24pm On May 28, 2017 |
Mcowubaba: IPOBs have embrassed Igbos, yes I'm amongst the people who say you can't really differentiate IPOBs from Igbos, because when IPOBs carry out an activity, it is viewed as an Igbo activity.
Even E warriors on Nairaland, degrades and scorns the Igbo tribe because of the activities of IPOBs.
The mostly don't mention "Igbo" when the are cursing, probably because of the Ban associated with insulting a tribe here on Nairaland. (Rule 2)
I write this with a very heavy heart, I'm tired of the insults, scorn and degradation that has been heaped on the Igbo tribe, which was instigated mostly by some activities of the IPOBs here on Nairaland and other social media.
These behaviors from IPOBs are the reasons why Igbos are mocked
1)NOT everybody who opposes an Idealogy/opinion from Baifra/IPOB/Nnamdi Kanu, automatically becomes a Yoruba person, or Northerner, this is actually a very insane way of reasoning, it deeply troubles me, I have been accused of being an AFONJA (as e-warriors call it), Yoruba Muslim etc, just because my opinion differs sometime on some actions/activities of IPOBs.
Whether you like it or not, there still thousands, if not millions of Igbos who don't TOTALLY subscribe to the Ideology of IPOBs (please note, TOTALLY, which means the probably agree to few ideas/suggestions raised by IPOB) . I fall in this category, I'm not opposed to IPOB or Biafra, I just don't totally agree with All their ideas nd procedures.
Most IPOBs I have meet online and physically are very abusive, angry and frustrated, the can't argue without insulting your family or generation, or tagging you a Yoruba Muslim or unity beggar.
The hardly argue objectively and logical, no wonder the are tagged Touts, Radicalised
2) Please stop including non Igbo States as part of the planned Biafra or succession movement, I know numerous threads and topics have been created regarding this, but all had failed to educate the IPOBs here... This particular behavior has caused Igbos so much insults and mockery, hardly a day goes by without someone from a Minority tribe, will create a thread warning Igbos to stay clear from their land, almost every ethnic group has warned IPOBs to stop attaching them to Biafra... A famous IGBO adage says "Biri Kam Biri" live and let live.
IPOBs have classified those who are interested in the Nigerian project as slaves, slave masters, unity beggars, zombies etc..
This is highly illogical, you can't force some ethnic group(s) to Join your struggle, highest you can do is to have a meeting with them, where you can discuss how the will be better off in Biafra than remaining in Nigeria, this is done through advocacy, lobbying etc. And if the still don't agree with the terms or the succession movement, please LET THEM BE.
Allow them to decide their own faith.. For point of clarity, Biafra states now should be restricted to only the 5 Igbo states.
Let's leave all this Delta communities, Akwa Ibom, Benue or River's communities
I don't need a lesson of history or origin, on how there are indigenous Igbo people in some the aforementioned states... Or how the were part of Biafra during the Civil War.. Let us leave them ALONE. The insult from them is becoming unbearable. And sincerely, I don't blame them, you can't force down your idealogy on some one else....
To be continued Look man, you guys should stop this nonsense you keep writting. Biafra is not an Igbo agenda. As I always say, the last president of Biafra was General Philip Effiong who was not an Igbo man. When Ojukwu was president of Biafra, the next two most important men after him were, General Philip Effiong ( Vice president) and Mr NU Akpan (Chief secretary to the Biafran Government). Neither man was Igbo. Trying to reduce Biafra to an unconstitutional 'South East' or trying make it an Igbo affair is nonsense. Biafra is about the tribes of the lower Niger who are tired of 'one Nigeria' and wish to forge a separate existence from Nigeria. That is why Biafra is anchored on referendum. Let those who want to go, have thier say, and those who want remain in Nigeria have their say. That is democracy, are you not a democrat? If we are to follow the logic that Delta state was never part of Biafra and should not be part of it, we should also follow the logic that Delta state was not part of Nigeria before Lugard came and should not be part of it Referendum is about freely choosing your future democratically, so how can that be 'by force'? It is only Nigeria that is 'by force' |

Just as Arochukwu dialect (Abịa state) Ngwa dialect (Ebonyi state) Mgbọ dialect (Eboyi state) Nsukka dialect (Enugu state) Ukwani dialect (Delta State) Ekpeye dialect (Rivers) Ezza dialect (Eboyi state) Ikwo dialect (Eboyi state) Agbor dialect (Delta State) Ogba or Oba dialect (Rivers State) Ụmụezeohaka dialect (Benue state) Owerre dialect (Imo State) Awka dialect (Anambra State) Idimili dialect (Anambra State) etc
Among all 'Izugbe' dialect is spoken generally by all Igbos. True In central Igbo, 'our land' is 'Ala anyi' although some will say 'ana anyi' or even 'ani anyi' But Ikwerres say 'ela anyi' Just a minor difference. Ikwerre is a dialect of Igbo. I understand it more than I can understand Izzi/Ezza |
