pauljumbo: in summary, you are saying restructuring means everybody can control their resources? Thats basically it. It is only when you control the resources on your land that you become your own master. However, before you can control your resources, two things must be changed. The existing structure that is denying you control of your resources must be changed. Afther this is done, the constitution must also be changed to reflect the fact that it is now you that control your resources instead of Government. It is this changing of the constitution that is the stumbling block that makes restructuring impossible in Nigeria. |

The third step is to work on naturalisation principles, no Biafran nor Nigerian citizens shall posses dual citizenships of these countries once in a lifetime, once you have one, you apply for visiting or working visa in the other, this will limit selfishness. Total nonsense. What if it is person who has a Yoruba father and Igbo mother? You will tell the person to choose nationality? FFK's son is half Igbo/Yoruba. Which nationality will he choose. Dual citizenship must be allowed. |

The igbo tribe of which the uneducated and feeble minded amongst keep displaying the highest level of ignorance, with examples such as. Believing that Donald trump came into power to fight for Biafrans.. To this people there was a message left by the leader of the 1st Biafran agitation. Nnamdi Kanu is just one man. If one man can threaten the existence of your country then it means you dont have country worth writting home about. What it means is that your country is nowhere near united and any talk about a progressive country are all lies. A person may not be educated but education has nothing to do with wanting to be a Nigerian or not. Im a well educated Igbo man and I want my people to have their own independent nation. Do you know how embarrassed I am as an Igbo man to know that Gambia is just 1.8 million people, barely the population of the city of Enugu, but they are an independent nation. Yet my 45 miliion strong Igbo nation is still stuck here doing 'one Nigeria'. We must get Biafra |

Please, outline the one you don't have knowledge of and let me furnish you with the source. Let me tell you something. Political appointments are just a psychological thing in Nigeria, they never translate into any thing positive because Nigeria is a failed nation. The North held power for 30 years, they are no where near the south in terms of development. What did Yorubas get out Obasunjos tenure? Only bragging rights that they have produced the president. What do you think Otuoke people got out of GEJ? Nothing. Igbos are not marginalising Igbos. An Igbo man has not been president of Nigeria for 50 years, so how can Igbos marginalise Igbos? It is the unworkable organisation called Nigeria that is marginalising Igbos and the sooner we Igbos leave Nigeria, the better |

richdaddy75: IGBOs MARGINALISING IGBOS
I like d speech of d new Ohaneze Ndigbo President. Pls read objectively.
In my own opinion, the enemy of Ndigbo is Ndigbo itself. I remember a time in this country when all the 6 ministers in Jonathan's kitchen cabinet were all Igbo's. *Ayim Pius Ayim was SGF, *Ngozi Okonjo Iwealla was in charge finance, *Emeka Wogu was in Labour and productivity, *Berth Nnaji was in Power and Energy, *Dieziani Madueke was d powerful minister for oil.
The 6 of them outside the Federal Executive Council would meet and decide what and what not to be discussed at the larger FEC. Whatever they decided would eventually be the position of government. In 6 years, this was the situation.
Okiro and Onovo had the police under their control. Ihejerika and later Minimah controlled the Army. These powerful Igbo's could do and undo. Nigeria was in their pockets.
But rather than care about the poor Igbo chaps scattered all over the country, they were busy diverting billions of naira into their accounts at home and abroad.
The 2nd Niger Bridge, they didn't do. They shared the money. The Lagos/Calabar rail lines passing through 9 States, 3 of them in the SE, they were not bothered. They refused to pay the Chinese the Counter part fund. They shared the money. Enugu/Onitsha, Aba/PH and other roads of economic importance to their fellow Igbo's, they abandoned.
Who is to blame? Who is marginalising the Igbos?
You had your chance, you bungled it. There was only 1 Yoruba minister worth mentioning at the time, Akinwunmi Adesina. He was in Agric. His budget was less than 1% while Emeka Wogu in Labor had over 10% for his ministry, Ayim had unlimited access to the treasury for the benefit of himself and family members. The poor Igbo guys meant nothing to him.
If an Igbo becomes President tomorrow, will there be any difference? Even if Biafra materialized, we have seen clips of what to expect!
The Igbo man will marginalise his fellow Igbo people.
May God deliver Ndigbo The Lagos/Ibadan expressway media have come up with another nonsense. Their stories have now become so blatantly fake, it is laughable |

deomelo: East Timor is not Nigeria or Indonesia and it's even ridiculous to compare your own situation and environment with others several thousands miles away from you.
The problem with you people is always lack of critical thinking, you formulate your thoughts based on sentiments and emotions instead of well though out reasoning and strategies.
Ojukwu took millions of your people to war without weapons and clear cut ideas and strategies and millions perished because of that foolish and irresponsible act.
Another clown is asking you to risk everything and your and your people are not asking critical and crucial questions, you are not asking him for the necessary ground work and planning necessary to sustain a Nation.
Have you asked him what he's going to do or how to resettle millions of your returnees?
Have you asked him anything about customs, borders, military, law enforcement, judicial system, education and health policies, governing body and elections, tax and IGR policies and the constitution needed to govern you from day one or he's just going to make that up from thin air?
Do you people really think beating chest and abusing people on the internet and home video is all you need to run a country.
You are heading for another self destruction. I don't even know why you people are hard learners. East Timor is an example of a country that seceded from a bigger country and still managed to survive. I used it as an example to show that a country can many challenges after secession but they are not insurmountable. When it comes to the issue of Biafra, Biafra is actually one of the most peaceful movements for freedom and self determination in the world, it has always been that way. It is you Nigerians that bring death, violence and war into the issue of Biafra. Take Ojukwu for example. Ojukwu recieved a mandate from the Eastern Nigeria consultative assembly to declare the Easter Region a separate country, which he did. Gowon could have asked for meeting with Ojukwu to resolve the Biafran issue, he could have gone for a referendum. Of all the peaceful options Gowon could have gone for, he chose war as his first resort instead of the last. It was you Nigerians that came down to the East where people were enjoying their new found freedom and started shooting. How did you people think you would achieve 'one Nigeria' by killing millions? Now, Kanu and IPOB are once again asking for referendum within the SS/SE to allow those who are tired of 'one Nigeria' to go their way. Again, you Nigerians are beating war drums despite that the agitators have not killed or harmed anybody. Infact, it is your Nigerian security agents who have shot and killed them. All this talk about Judiciary, tax, health policy etc you mentioned is not new to Biafra. Have we forgotten that Biafra maintained all these policies and intitutions despite fighting a war? Is it in now that Biafrans can no longer do it again? When Biafra is declared, Biafra can have a national conference and decide any outstanding issue I will never understand you Nigerians always looking fir war just because Lord Lugard told you all we are one |

deomelo: European countries already have established immigration policies and some elements of freedom cross border movement regardless of EU so stop assuming what it's going to be like with Nigeria and biafra.
The fact that you people are coming up with baseless and unrealistic assumptions about your future shows that you haven't thought about anything and your future beyond Nigeria.
Market forces, supply and demand, population and buying power decides where companies and entities invests in, not your emotional and sentimental reasons. All they are interested in money and not your sorry social and emotional concerns.
There's more to endless chest beating, shouting for biafra everyday.
How are you going to manage and house millions of returnees?
How are you going to crate jobs and employment for the millions of returnees
how are you going to gain access to large markets outside your borders even considering the fact tat your people in Lagos and elsewhere in the SW and the North are there because of the huge markets and buying power that you don't have in your region?
How are you going to negotiate trade policies, taxes ans tariffs on goods and services?
You don't even have any cash generating resources to trade with or export to start with and whatever you are into in Nigeria today is replaceable with other opportunity seekers moving in to take your place.
Investors today prefer the SW and most of the investments entering Nigeria today heads straight to the SW so do you really think that is going to change because you have biafra?
No, there's more to investments siting from communal attitude, culture, welcoming and conducive environment, available and educated manpower, safety and security and these factors exists only in the SW. South Sudan is restless and at war because they did not do their home work or plan for these eventualities.
SMH.. Problem with people like you is that you cant help but see everything from the point of view of a Nigerian. The world is a big place, it doesnt end and stop in Nigeria. In 2002, East Timor seceded from Indonesia. Indonesia is 5 times bigger than Nigeria, a population of over 250 million people and is richer than Nigeria. Some people thought that East Timor would never survive without Indonesia. Today, East Timor is doing well and enjoying there freedom. I have great confidence in my Igbo people, we are one of the most resourceful people you can find in Africa. The greatest resource a people can have is not oil or gas, it is human potential. Igbos have a lot of human potential, all they need is control of their own land to make things happen. Im from Anambra, an Oil producing state with on of the largest Gas reserves in Nigeria. But Im not even looking at these things. Im looking at the manufacturing potential of my area as soon we can free our selves from the cursed Nigerian 'power holding' start generating electricity with our coal in Enugu. We want to explore the agro-allied potential of Ebonyi, the production of Aba, the potential of Nnewi as the japan of Africa. The huge oil potential of Abia and Imo. The potential of an independent Biafra comprising of Igbos and the minorities who comfortable is incredible. All we need is to get out of the control of Abuja as an independent country. Biafra will not be easy at first, but we shall overcome. I believe that within 15 years of Biafra existing, it will have the biggest GDP in Africa. |
