@Theblessed Engage your brains, your man has not got the numbers to win a primary based on a unifying force. I am sure u are based in one of the western nations, and u know and I know your man has being cornered. Democracy is about numbers |
Anus05,JEG needs a Field Marshall on the ground that would be pushing and harnessing his campaign to higher levels banking on the institutions of the state is a flawed and erroneous premise. That institution is tainted with men who have soiled their hands with taking mobilisation fee from both camps. One cannot imagine Dopkpesi double dealing, GEJ u should hire a campaign guru b4 it is too late. |
Mr Jonathan all gang up against you will fail in Jesus name Amen.Lets apply common sense to this, democracy is all about numbers, if your numbers does not stack up u would fail, there is no short cut to it. It is not a matter of prayer either; it is a matter of serious political horse trading promising your troops at times the impossibility. |
I hope you don't really mean the part that is bolded. If you do, then our country is doomed with this type of mentality. Please GOD HELP US IN NIGERIA.I think the only people who would not a make a dime in that post are Jesus Christ and Probably Mohammed, any other man born of a woman would make some money no matter how meagre it is. A misapropiation of even lowly N1 Million is still stealing in the eyes of the law and God, so is the misapporopitian of several billions. However JEG is already a wealthy man with his stint in Bayelsa and President for a few months, he should not really go out of his way to defraud the country. |
There is no way JEG would beat the combine votes of the quartet, Saraki, IBB,Gusau,Atiku. If they quartet decide to adopt one candidate and pool resources together I cannot see JEG beating them, OR is it not going to be a secret ballot. Would JEG know who the Daniel’s and Akala's of this world who they are casting their votes for, I am waiting for the Government magic JEG would perform during the primaries. If they run independently then JEG would carry the day, but as a combined force, I am sorry to burst die-hard JEG fans it is going to be a walk-over for the Nordic forces. That actually opens a new dimension to the race, JEG should make enough money as a Sitting President knowing he would not be there come May 2011. If JEG really loves Nigeria he should walk a way from the loss in the primaries with dignity knowing his defeated army would pool resources together and join the ever growing Ribadu tsunami which blow every other forces away come January 2011. If Goodluck can do this for the nation he would have written his name in stone for generations to come. Don’t forget a defeated Incumbent can make things happen in a general election. Most of the back stabbing Governors who aligned themselves with the Nordic forces would be given a taste of their own medicine come January 2011 elections. |
If this story is true we have start to see the Goverment Magic in play. If true this would be bad for democracy OBJ's end of tenure is different from JEG' s elevation, No Southerner can justifiable want to lay claim to the Presidency after OBJ had just completed an 8 year 2 terms then. But what we have today is a different cup of fish, the top job is open to all, a free for all, JEG should not go down this undemocratic route otherwise it would spell doom. |

@extera2 https://www.nairaland.com/nigeria/topic-517028.0.html#msg6790059 This d most depression news I have read in a long time. If there is an iota of truth about d activities of d individuals & actors mentioned in d above caption then d SSS should focus their attention on these individuals and not a concerned Nigeria who is for a progressive Nigeria. I have noting against d north my candidates in the Presidential elections are Saraki & Ribadu but those subversive element stoken hatred in d land becos Jonathan wants to run I am aggrieved with them, they make my blood boil with rage. For cry out loud did JEG kill Yaradua was his ascendency not a devine one, He is a free Nigeria like 150 million of us why are some people so wicked they want to deny a sitting President his constitutional right yet they want to uphold their own right bloody hipocrits. Let something happen to dat Igbo Coas then d north would know we are no longer in 1966. |
Can u imagine all these wonderful things Fashola is doing are some bastards up North are planning a coup becos GEJ decides to run. Let me warn those illetrate almanjeris, both d SW & SE and thier brothers in diasporas would make sure that would be end of Nigeria as we know it. We abroad we would make sure we support d cause and d struggle with our last dollar. Fashola continue d good works, we shall be monitoring the aghast and unsavoury utterances from some sector and personalty of Northern Nigeria with extreme reservation and caution. |
Ribadu a man of 50 years you people are calling a youth in Naija, maybe because he has a youthful look, kudos to him, the guy is bleeding older than the Russian President, the American President and the British Prime Ministers so what are we talking about here. I beg u guys calling him an in-experience man I beg to differ. A man who is 50 years and above has seen it all and worn the T-shirt. |
The only reason Saraki came out is because Jonathan OR even EFCC does not have anything against him. What I see is a young confident guy who has seen the world and knows his onions. I would not be surprise the fly-over built in Ilorin was bankrolled from his own personal purse, obviously the Kwara State Government would be reimbursed , but the mission statement is clear , here is a man that is driven by a passion to deliver no matter what it takes. I do not mean it in a negative way, but in a rather Positive way. The Fly-over was said to be ready months ago but what did he do, he waited until when electioneering has started in earnest to unravel this project, he did it so that the project would get maximum publicity and maximum publicity it got, normally courtesy demands when opening such a laudable project and the Governor is from the same party as the President, the President gets the honour of cutting the tape, but our man Saraki would not have any of that. He cut the tape with all pomp and pageantry whilst the cameras were busy rolling. I sense he might be a bit proud but then won’t you, when u are a confident , well educated, handsome and a great achiever, he has earned his stripes amongst great leaders in Nigeria not many Public Servants can beat their chest and say with an air of confidence that they are risk averse. For many of our present Governors the mere mention of the abbreviation E.F without the .C.C. would result in multiple heart- beats and an un-controllable palpitation which would culminate eventually in cardiac arrest. No wonder why it took some of them just matters of months after relinquish power to visit the grim-ripper. How come the so called 10 OR is it 12 Pro-zoning Governor’s were present at Eagle Square openly and shamelessly brandishing their vampire teeth’s at everyone who care to listen to them, I just hope Jonathan is not deceived by their clothing “ wolfs in a sheep’s clothing” |
Goodluck na "Ah je paki", that suffer head wey the man suffer for small pickin still dey in body. Look at somebody like Bukola Saraki u go no say this one na inside jar of butter den born am. ![]() |
I still consider pple of Wales britishBritish is a term like Nigerian, it encompasses all four nations, England, Scotland, Wales and NI. It also include every other race born on the these ISLANDs that is Nigerian, Ghanian, Jamaican , Pakistani India, Chinese e.t.c. can also be called British. But the term in English is used for the indigenious people although some balcks call themselves Black English, most natives frown at such pronunciation, they believe that word must be reserved for indiginious people as the last bastion for self preservation and identitfication. |
Niger and core northern NigeriaAnother wrong conception It is more like Southern Niger Rep and Core Northern Nigeria that are similar, the Northern Niger Rep are Tuaregs and they are fighting for resource control like the Niger Deltans in Nigeria. The Tuaregs are a distinct race entirely, not Hausa OR Fulani more like Barbers. |
Where did i every state that they have the same accent. I always used the word Similar and mind you it's not accent i made reference to.In d 1950s & 1960s there use to be signs on door post, landlords abhore Blacks & Irish so they put up derogatory signs " No Irish, No Blacks, & No dogs," if the English & Irish are similar such blatant racist language would have being unheard off. |
Irish, Scottish accent are different from England's accent, in fact England has a different accent between d South, Midlands and Northern accents. To burst your bubble the Cornish in SW England have a distint language and culture so also is the Welsh language widly spoken especially in d welsh highlands. Every English signboard in Wales is interpreted into welsh so your Kindergateen theory needs more thorough research otherwise u look like a man who has being marooned in a desert island for decades, who has only just manage to escape into civilisation , clueless as ever but priveledge to get on-line & yearn dust. ![]() |
How many times is he going to resign, this is d 3rd time he would resign, I hope in 2 months time I would not be Reading Gusau resigns yet again. ![]() |
Ojukwu is a spent force, just because Jonathan doesen' t want wahala allowing Ojukwu's protégée to win Anambra election does not mean he has any clout. Mordern learned leaders has learnt from providence and gain one or two things from hindsight. You do not fight a war on two fronts, u end up opening yourselves and over strectching limited resources. At d time of Anambra election, Nigeria as a nation was at the brink of the abbyis, Mr President was no where to be found after embarking on an absence without leave. The apparatus of goverment was in d hand of dat lunatic AG of the nation who made it clear to all listening ears at d time, that the President can rule from anywhere in d world. There was d senseless killing of the Beroms OR is it of the Hausa/Fulani at least there was some kind of low scale ethnic cleasing going on in Plateau state, and to compo und it there are these 3 individuals claiming they one d elections in anambra state and on d other hand d chief architect of the Biafran war machinery was promising fire and brimestone reminding Nigerians of d much and long awaite d sequeal to d Biafran war which would ensued d moment his man has been robbed of his guranteed pension, with all these potential volatile happenings around at d time, the safest and wisest thing to do is give d governorship to d incumbent and rightly so dat is what happened. Has dat experience made massers Ojukwu's head swollen, Y ou bet right, he has now gained his swagger and he his strutting around like king maker, thank God his ego was seriously bruised when he mistakingly swaggered Or is it staggared into Aso Rock, I am sure he must have had too much apeteshi to think d occupant in Aso Rock would give him a royal welcome. The only person dat accords Ojukwu any iota of respect today is IBB another spent force, I just hope he has settled those crowd he rented otherwise yar wa go burst. How lower can IBB go, anyway when 2 mediocres are meeting noting would come out of it, it is all hot air, if care is not taking the way IBB is going about using money to buy everything buyable, would end up in d scrap yard penniless after all there is a popular saying "one wealthy man amongst a hoard of hungry men" b4 long dat wealthy man would be dirt poor not when u have a dead-broke former warlord amongst dat hungry mass of human misery. |
sbeezy8I believe Ribadu is running as a spoiler on behalf of Jonathan dissipating IBB's hold in d north whilst gaing d votes of those non-PDP states in d SW and Edo. Ribadun knows he cannot win, more likely there would be a coalition govt between Jonthan's PDP and AC |
If One were to add Saraki's vote to IBB, one can see Jonathan is still leading. From this subtle emperical sample it is clear who would sweep d stakes in d primaries. This primary is definately a dead cert for Goodluck Jonathan. |
Since it is clear PDP cannot win any election in any part of Nigeria without rigging it, it would make sense for Jonathan & INEC to allow d geniue results to stand in Kwara State. It is no more a secret dat Saraki is a potential rival in d primaries, why not withdraw d largesse of stolen votes d Saraki's have enjoyed for a while now when it has become apparent dat they are getting too big for their boots and are in fact about to bite d hands dat feed them infecting dat hand with incurable rabbies. Just like 1983 Kwara might go AC if Gbemi was allowed to run. |
Let me make it abundantly clear that if Fajuyi had been alive, there would have been no civil war in Nigeria. I had wished July 29. 1966 coup plotters had precipitated the coup during Ironsi’s tour of northern region. The coup is what it is a coup, all these spin doctoring about it being a revenged coup against d culprits and appeasers of the jan 1966 coup is buxl shxt. It is brave men dat plan a coup, if it goes wrong your neck is at mercy of the hang man's noose hence why IBB summarily executed his bosom friend and colleague. What some people on this forum fail to recognise is Ironsi was an old relic from the colonial era, that is why he was an easy prey a fact many igbo's are not ready to accept. I would have sworn my old age grand ma would have done this job faster than those officers. Today the Igbo's have a COAS, I hope d unceromonious despatch of d last one would give d Igbo's d much awaited but belated succour needed. Ironsi was totally useless in administration, he was a one man traffic, years of standing to attention whilst serving his British supirior officer had unknowingly taken it's toll on his mental capability and robbed him of that salient ability to multi task and man manage. One of his greatest howlers was implementing policies dat was anti-federal, there was fear especially in the north dat Nigeria was drifting towards unitrynism. |
Is aliyu Babangida there. ? |
Can someone please tell me what Jonathan can achieve in 4 years, that is too short a time to acheive any meaningful development, he needs the full 8 years to make an impact in the Nigeria polity, all these conjectures " I would be there for only 4 years" is a ruse. Hopefully by the time he is in the 3rd year of his supposedly one term d benefits of democracy would be felt in d land making it easy for him to run for another 4 years. Afterall he is entitled to a 2 term like every Presidents in a Presidential system, if his Godfather in no other person other than OBJ wanted to truncate d demographic process by running for a 3rd term how much more someone seeking a legitimate and legal right of running which is guranteed in d constituion. |
Fajuyi is a classical case of collateral damage, OR in the line of fire OR better still surplus to requirement. A job was to be done, eliminate the CinC, whatever obstacle standing between the order being carried out would be eliminated without much ado. I don't think the executor's of this dastArdly act thought for a moment b4 carrying out d order, being trained military men probably went with the motion of event, " obey b4 complain" is a popular saying and a standard mantra in Nigerian Army. The shakesperian quotation attributed to fajuyi are just poor and unbridle attempt by revisionist and sympathersers to re-write what would have been a dull and poor script. Those who commit this cowardly act who are very much alive today would not want to set the record straight by telling d world what transpired because today they are honourable members's of our society, they rather let sleeping dog's lie. Killing a man in cold blood is not something any human would proud off let alone a very wealthy one like Danjuma. For those who think and feel this fairy tale would bring them some sort of comfort and closure during one of the darkest period in our history, I say I salute u and I can remiscent with u, I also know Elvis priestly is still alive and not dead it is a conspiracy by d FBI to cover d truth from all asundry. With that said this bed-time story has had its day we should focus our energy on serious issues like d up coming elections next year rather than waste precious time on someone else's fantasy, we should not forget our constitution has given us the God for-saken right to be delusional if pleases us, that right I shall respect and not attempt to wrestle from any individual. |
Does he have N10 MILLION TO THROW AWAY? ![]() |
and I will be prepared to Vote for Buhari, because I feel that he has the desire and conviction, and will to fight the deep issues that plague our country.Dude you would have to go back in time for Buhari to redeem himself unfortunately the nation has moved on and we are in the year 20 something we cannot be thinking of voting for someone from a bygone era who ruled in the 1980’s. Can u imagine the Americans thinking of voting Jimmy Carter in the year 2010, Nigerians should grow up and smell the coffee. The 3 credible candidates for this election are all men in their late 40’s and early 50’s and they are Goodluck, Saraki and Ribadu one of them would definitely hitch it, presumably the incumbent would get it because of his clout and all the resources available to him. |
Firing Dambazau & the others can be done by any dumb president and does not require growing "balls". Go and read your history books to confirm. Until GEJ is able to control his wife and by extension his household, he has no business in Aso rock beyond May 29, 2011.There is a programme on TV in the UK, the Weakest Link, Dambazzau was the weakest link in Jonathan’s regime. A good leader should be able to identify the weakest link in his regime and cut it away the way you cut cancer infected cell away from healthy ones. |
By this submission, GEJ is worse off, since he's unable to control his wife. How else can one explain her agbero manners?Jonathan has finally grown some balls with the service chief change over. He is in the driving seat of his destiny now whilst b4 he was driven by Dambazzau like a Zombie. |
If we are to go by your assertions, then IBB is a simpleton too because Abacha effectively schemed him out in a palace coup. The Nigeria Army of the 80s was filled with coup plotters, the overthrow of the Idiagbon/Buhari regime involved more than the Army, Abiola was involved and I will not put it beyond the CIA to be involved as well. Please ask Jarus to furnish you with the article by Sanusi on Buhari's regime. In an ideal world, we will like to break away from these people, in a realistic world, we have to go for the least of all evils and I think Buhari is that man.I would not be drawn into some childish conspiracy theories no matter what. The whole world knew Ernest Shonekan took over from IBB and Abacha took over from Shonekan, any other tales from moonlight is a hearsay and not a fact that cannot and should not be admissible in any court worth its salt. |
