Hi guys, I need ur help urgently. Derz this cute fair Akwa Ibom chick I got hooked up with thru a colleague @ work, bb tinz. We got talking and were so into each oda after a coupla days, hung out last friday nyt, spent sum cash, and we ended up in ma hotel room for the nyt. The walls of Jericho came down but she didn't allow me into Jerusalem, if you know what I mean. I actually started liking d girl wich was why I wasn't in a rush to poke her in the first place.

We agreed we'd be hooking up this wednesday agn (2moro) to see a movie and hopefully, I'll get to d promised land thereafter and everything seemed so perfect till ystdae she pinged me telling me I had to send her moni to make her hair if not, she wldnt cum. I was mad, like WTF? Does dis girl fink I'm a fool or what? I'm not sum mega-rich dude, buh I'm okay by all means. I asked her to come first, dat'll give her d moni wen we see, she no gree, and has subsequently stopped chatting wiv me as usual.

Ordinarily, I'd have vexed and deleted d b*tch off ma bb, end it dere, not minding d amount I've spent but I don't want to give up just yet. I actually do mind d moni I've spent and dis is a girl it'll pain me if I end up losing out cuz she obviously finks she has jammed a mugu. All I wanna do is play my cards ryt and poke dis girl b4 she leaves town. She told me she'll be leaving on friday, 2day is tuesday already. Help me out guys, I need tips. cry

Third, you say? Saddam Hussien, Osama Bin Laden, Whitney houston, Steve Jobs all died following Ramsey strikes. The other time Shawcross broke his leg, Chile was hit with a deadly earthquake. I imagine what'll happen the day he scores a hat trick... lipsrsealed

My friend nothing is impossible. Some of those banks that were rescued also at one time were given awards some were even paying good dividends to shareholders so its not a determining factor bro.
Bro, if ur conversant with today's Nigerian banking industry, you'll understand when it cums to bank failure, 90% of the entire industry would fail before the likes of gtb feel a thing. This is an institution I have a lotta respect for due to their high level of professionalism and efficiency. Yes, there myt be isolated cases of innefficiency but to now make it sound like its bcum a norm is not good. And to now suggest the bank is on the brink of failure is downright ridiculous.

Ajillo: If you have been hit by bank closure in the past, you will know this is the time to Run, run run away from that bank.
What do people gain in causing unnecessary panic in the minds of others? A bank that's acclaimed to be the most profitable bank in the country, with constant AA ratings is by ur own assessment on the brink of closure? I shake my head for you.

Funds transfer from savings accounts has been restored, @least, I made two local funds transfers yesterday, one from my current to my savings and anoda from my savings to anoda savings and it was effortless as usual. Ogogambus:
pls kockane, like how long does the interview hold on one person?
And also,do they invite us as a group in,or one person wit the panel.
For the panel interview, its you alone against 3 panelists. And depending on how d discussions drag, it could take between 15-30 minutes. Mine took much longer though, but dats cuz I did well to make the interviewers like me from the onset so we had a really interesting conversation. You need not be a professional to impress dem, dey know ur fresh graduates and don't expect such a high level of professionalism from you, odawise dey wldnt have to spend 4 months training you to become the finished product dey want you to be. Just remember to be confident (not cocky), dress appropriately, be mindful of ur colour combinations, smile (but don't overdo it) and always look ur interviewers in d eye. Don't cross ur legs, don't sit unless ur asked to. And most importantly, be respectful, as those on the panel are gonna be ur bosses in the nearest future, you wldnt wanna piss dem off. All d best. wink

Like I said in the previous post, y'all need to be very patient, the whole process would take a while as there-s a capacity the training school can take at once, usually between 30-35 per class. So, not everybody in this current interview batch will necessarily resume the training school @ once. So I'll enjoin everyone to prepare ur minds to wait, no rush, most of you will eventually make it to the training school. Cheers! smiley

Hello guys! Good luck to all the aspirants. I was also an applicant like most of us ere but I'm grateful to God I'm currently in the GTB training school ere in abuja. I see a lot of enquiries but time wouldn't permit me to address dem all.

First and foremost, I don't believe in all dez online submission of cv's as often times dan not, you don't get called for the test. I'd advise any serious applicants to go to either deir area or zonal head offices to submit deir cv's. Or better still, find sum1 dat works dere, preferably in Operations or HR to help you submit urs.

Secondly, the test is very very very simple. The main reason why most people fail is due to anxiety and lack of speed. simple arithmetic dat requires a lotta speed and accuracy. You neednt be a genius to pass, believe me. With a lil bit of current affairs to doe, but very few, its mostly numbers, series, tables and graphs. After the test, depending on the location, you can eida view ur results immediately or wld get a mail within 5 working days (usually a lil longer) tellin you if you've passed or not. For those that are successful, you wld get anoda mail askin u to come for their pre-interview documentation/essay. Ur asked to write a short essay which you'll be asked to discuss during ur panel interview. You neednt be a specialist to pass the interviews eida, its basically just a test of confidence, diction and oda basic attributes. There are 2 interviews and one medicals before you resume the training school. Training sch stress? Well, that's d story for anoda day. But trust me, once you cross d hurdle of the first test, you've seen the worst.

For those that were successful in the first test, I'd enjoin you to be very patient as this could take a while. For me, from the test to medicals took over two months. It was very frustruating indeed but I endured the trauma and here I am today, relaying my experiences.
Gtb is a great place to work, pursue a career, and d pay is really cool. Feel free to contact me on bb, XXXXXXXX if you need any further info. I'm not a recruiting agent please. I'll try to squeeze tym and check on this thread from time to time to answer ur questions. Wishing everyone ere all the best. One love!

hardey11: My brothers and Sisters the bottomline is we must learn to support our own.By buying from your own people in your own place you stand a chance to gain more in all we do from pure water to Aircraft and all in between. When you cart away your hard earn money to trade with foreigners how will your unemployed brother, friend or sister get a job. Growing up in the U.S. I learn key fact, that the best business is local....Cotonue or even any other country will not contribute a ding directly or indirectly to your lifeblood but that business Man in berger will surely turn around N buy something too from a relative or another business like your. Case in point Sport is a Multi Billion Dollar Industry that have a great ripple effect on any local Economy but of what benefit or job creation Man U or Arsenal been to our local economy instead of us supporting N buying the likes of Eyinba or our Basketball Club Jersey that will lessen the unemployment situation...so my people lets think Globally N act Locally. Thanks
Oga... Shut up. So because u want to support naija economy, u must buy sumfn u wldnt be happy with

No, its not a waste of time. Before my current job, I had an offer in sum healthcare firm in lag, wich I eventually declined cuz I didn't feel d pay was worth it. Dis was a position I didn't even apply for. Dey just went thru d database of one of d many recruitment agencies I submitted my cv to and dey gave me a call. And no, it was an international company, just an upcoming firm. So guys, keep applyin, it is well. It wouldn't hurt to diversift though, a lil online application, a lil hand to hand... Bless. smiley

He can achieve anyfn with an anatomy degree.
Career / Re: Continuing Human Anatomy 200l Or Starting Medicine 100L In Another School by Kockane(m): 9:32am On Jul 08, 2012
I enjoin you to first secure ur medicine admission den sit down and take a good look @ urself, do a careful self analysis. What do you want to do with ur life? What drives you? Is it money? Is it doing what ur passionate about? I made a contra-switch from medicine to anatomy a coupla yrs ago, not deliberately but cuz I was asked to withdraw from the medical program due to a missing result wich was no fault of mine. I regretted opting for Anatomy instead of other courses like geology, microbiology, etc till I graduated cuz the way we saw it den, anatomy, physiology, and to sum extent, biochemistry lacked any prospects in the nigerian labour market. But then again, we have graduate lawyers, pharmacists, engineers roaming the streets lookin for jobs.
True, Medicine is a prestigious profession, and unlike oda fields, you don't get to do much job-hunting as dere is a high demand for doctors in the labour market so it cums with sum degree of career certainty. But then again, an "Average" doctor is barely only comfortable wiv just enuf to take care of himself and family. Except ur into private practice or as a senior Reg or consultant, the pay package for doctors isn't all that mind blowing.
So it all depends on you, is medicine ur passion or ur just looking for a pocket swelling career? If the latter is the case, den I'll advise you to do well wiv ur anatomy degree, cum out wiv great grades and the sky can only be the beginning. Nigeria today, it doesn't matter what course you studied in sch but ur ability to convince prospective employers ur d man for the job. I'm not an advocate of straight-up enterpreneurship as I believe one needs to gain sum work experience first before starting his own business.
I'm an anatomy graduate and I work in one of the top financial institutions in the country today and I can confidently tell you that while my then classmates in medicine school are just in their final year, what I'm making at the moment, majority of them can only dream of such, even in years to come (but then again, money, not passion drives me, you myt be different). So bro, its not what degree you come out of the university with, but what you make of it. Not every doctor out dere enjoys what he does for a living, just as medicine remains an unfulfilled dream for many out dere. Life they say, is a paradox. Good luck as you make a decision. Cheers. smiley
