jason123:if you have evidence of that, then rest assured his opponents get my vote. I guess nairaland is the only place in nigeria with sufficient anonymity to allow us speak our true minds. We think he's gonna steal us blind while smiling sheepishly and reminding us of his "goodluck" |
Tosinville:mature married real men who work while they work and get paid exceptionally well for it will have the free time to watch Tv, Read a novel or play a game(not everyday anyway but once a week or on weekends is not a crime). Generalising is usually a sign of poor intelligence, my friend. Not ALL gamers are immature. c'est fini. |
cap28:unfortunately I define progress differently. Progress is schooling in your country, getting a great job there and steadily becoming a force to reckon with in a place where you have every right to be there and every chance to be king not cleaning toilets by days and posting articles by night in a cold, xenophobic, atheistic, depressed foreign land. In spite of your attacks we refuse to be convinced by your drivel. If there's any potential conspiracy in this issue, it is the possibility that the world would deliberately allow Ghaddafi to crush the rebels to let the status quo continue and keep the oil out of the hands of potential Al qaeda sponsors. I wont be suprised if the US deliberately allow Ghaddafi win without enforcing a no-fly zone. Its definitely more advantageous to the US, Italy (biggest libyan trading partner) and other mediterranean nations to have him there rather than a populist government that might be less favourable to israel or the US. God forbid the magreb become liberated and activist in orientation. Not to worry, there are crackheads like you to egg him on anyway. |
koolchicco:

koolchicco:will you guys stop exchanging emoticons, get a room and stop drawing our attention. sheesh. (that love virus sha.) |
@nebulae. thanks for taking it back to the origin. God bless and protect the people of Japan. |
I guess its time to buy pankere for this yeye greedy mod. Do you know how many went straight to semira's profile pix directly. nonsense. @semira. abeg repost jare make better people connect.(Translation: Post contacts again so we can buzz u). thats if jaybee will not keep removing them. (Dont know when Jaybee turn to Nairaland bot). |
It's actually nice to see a nigerian man refer to himself as ugly. Unlike some of the ones here who call themselves handsome and models.
because he gets 'it' regardless. |
I wonder why people keep deceiving themselves. The SW will vote GEJ overwhelmingly, forget about what internet warriors that don't even know where MMA is. lol Votes in Oyo will go massively PDP and the most densely populated parts of Lagos (eg Ajegunle) will vote massively for GEJ. The average rewire and vulcaniser has never heard of Buhari and will never vote Ribadu. So, who is looking to cut deals from some phantom position? lol! Cut deals with who anyway? With a drug pusher? You guys gat to be kidding!
English Comprehension is an issue. You just spent two paragraphs agreeing with me. I said both ribadu and buhari are not in contention and I also said the SW will vote GEJ. Try reading deeply before posting and apply the same level of thoughtful action to other areas of life. its wisdom. |
Mariory:about time. enough of listening to the poor misguided troll. |
Zero Shots on Target. 80%+ possession by barca. 3 goals against by 3 different people. red card against. i beg to differ. you had your asses whooped same as manU got taught a lesson (no stone throwing. I am a manU fan). |
^-- If the SW votes overwhelmingly against GEJ, then the PDP then becomes the opposition. ACN and CPC becomes mainstream. SW is the kingmaker in this election. Why just follow GEJ or PDP without extracting concessions? Makes zero sense.
Who else will they vote for? Buhari? Ribadu? neither of the two is even remotely attractive to the major populace. Utomi (who i happen to like) is also not there too. PDP's win is a shoo-in in this case. |
All dictators should open a fund for people like this who allow their selfish theories deny other people's freedoms. well done. |
Stop daydreaming. the south west may vote for other parties for other posts but for the presidential post, they will vote Jonathan. they are pragmatic and do not want to always be in the opposition. they will vote wisely not because they like him but because he'll win regardless. |
**yawns*** boring. |
seems this post hit a nerve. pain everywhere. lol |
udezue:au contraire my friend, you are the dense one. we nigerians invented nothing, we bought them and WON. We thrashed your butts. As debosky rightly said, the Taliban dont claim Nobel Prizes for IEDs so why should you base the entire pride of a race on a dangerously unsafe gunpowder contraption. besides I guess you owned the Leyland plant in Ibadan or the Peugeot plant in Kaduna too or the Exide Car Battery plant too in Ibadan. Sorry you are mistaken. besides they are not car manufacturing plants but car assembly plants. nothing intellectual about that. rather than own such stuff, in the southwest, we own telecoms(GLo), Oil (Oando, Summit, Global Fleet, AP),Banks (FCMB, Wema), Shipping (Wahab Folawiyo), Entertainment (AIT), Hotels (Nicon) and lots more. No need to waste energy on gluing together rickety buses and trucks no one's buying. Sheesh. Interestingly after Dangote, the top 3 billionaires in Nigeria are all Yoruba(Adenuga, Otedola, Jimoh Ibrahim) |
I play games but I refuse to take this assertion by Goldieluks personal cos I Know life's real cool right now and I have fun with games being an occasional hobby. However i see no reason for guys attacking her rabidly. You already see the hypocrisy in someone spending his/her day on NLand and @ the same time insulting gamers, so there's no point insulting people's parents/ other detestable insults. Am a proud nerd and tech freak. Yet one-on-one with your so-called real men, I intimidate easily. why? cause its balanced. We work hard and we play harder (games are just a tiny part of that). Its not anathema and its just a preference. Simply. Live and Let Live. When we get down to reality, your girlfriend can still leave you for an exceptionally rich and handsome, soft-spoken game-player with the right attitude. where love is concerned, there are no givens. otherwise ,
[li]poor guys would never marry[/li] [li]cute girls would never marry ugly guys,[/li] [li]the young would only marry each other [/li] [li]and love would stay within genders(on record: I am against homosexualism. definitely unnatural).[/li]
Enough said |
tallgal:I do that conveniently with Jpgraph. its pure PHP sugar. PHP rocks simple and if you use frameworks like Codeigniter, life becomes even sweeter. You think, it appears. simple. |
The USA picked up german scientists because they produced state of the art weapons that were ahead of what they had. A nigerian artillery round was more accurate and deadly than the ogbunigwe. A skorpion tank was more deadly than the red devil and much safer for the crew inside. We all hear about the people that the ogbunigwe killed but there are no statistics on the number of people that died trying to use a weapon based on raw gunpowder. Yes they were ingenious in finding solutions but they did not produce anything we couldnt have bought easily with the oil money. however, if the government had been forward looking THEN (they were not. thats why we are discussing this now) they would have simply absorbed and instituted a real research program instead of inventions based on necessity. Pointnoire:+1 for your reply. Absorbing them NOW is dumb. thats decades old tech in this age of UCAVs (Unmanned Combat Attack Vehicles), Smart munitions and Cruise missiles. |
--deleted by self-- |
Granted most of them are already dead anyway, what exotic knowledge did they possess that this generation doesnt. their inventions were the result of necessity. let the government embrace and utilize the current generation instead of wasting time with old senile scientists(apologies). We would be better served by creating a sense of urgency to motivate the current generation to invent and innovate rather than refight old tribal conflicts all day on Nairaland. |
MaziUche0:Please dont bamboozle the poor woman. anyone who has been stuck on the lone route into woji or had to drive 5 mins just to make a left turn will tell you PH is real irritating. Of course its much smaller than Lagos and life may seem to have a slower pace but there's a larger population in Lagos. however, if you possess the right connections/network PH might just be the place. Lots of oil companies around and lots of associated companies around. flights to all major cities. nearby port with lesser backload compared to lagos. |
Tosinville:Anybody that obsesses over electronics, Facebook, nairaland without handling issues in his or her life is childish. The above quote is misguided. What you overgrew was wasting time on games to the detriment of other fulfilling activities. but a game now and then is not a bad thing as long as you dont make a life of it. gym, eat out, date, do sports, watch sports, gist and have fun and when the urge hits you, Play Crysis2 or Halo or whatever new games are available. aside from that, there's no difference between someone who reads a novel, watches a film or plays game. its simply active fiction. @OP I hope you are not using games as an excuse to hide from facing up to life. if not, then I advise you to ignore women who cant be open-minded enough to understand the things a guy does for relaxation. I must admit that games may not be cool where most girls are concerned but It takes a cool guy to make an uncool thing look cool. Enjoy and have fun.
I would assume that he is immature and jobless
Simplistic thinking. If you would dismiss a guy out of hand based on an occassional hobby then IMHO you might not be worth dating. Disclaimer: I am buying a Kinect in a few weeks (partly because of its girl-friendly games ) |
MEND!!! MEND!!! They don reach colombia again. Guess they went on cross-posting. |
just to clarify. programming is just a part of IT. its not the whole thing. JAMB motors along nicely on the back of so many web admins. So many companies in nigeria including our banks run on IT and our lives nowadays depend more on IT than we think. There are those in IT who create new things and there are those who keep the new/old stuff running. Its the same as in medicine. there are researchers and there are surgeons/practitioners. It depends on the point of view. however, there's a scary question for myself and other IT people. If WW III happened and all the electricity vanished, how will we survive? doctors can just team up with their pharmacist friends and get right to it but we would be out of a job!!! scary. |
reverse propaganda by anti-american crackpots who get so riled up in hate that they ignore the local issues at stake and perpetually chase the bogeyman like adults stuck at pre-puberty. what do you expect? |
^-- That SGU one people always go to? IT imo is boring and not that interesting. I dunno, it depends on what specific area you are working on. But by and large, monkeying around with code is pretty dull and tedious.
Only if you never create anything of note. True masters of any art do not find it boring. A sure sign that you need a different career is a feeling of tedium at even simple tasks. |
While I like both men, i feel neither has a strong chance of becoming president. As such I want you to name 10 to 20 people even more likely (if they were campaigning for presidency). I will suggest Gov Fashola (on the strenght of actual work done and visible measurable landmarks of achievements) and Pat utomi (quality of discourse and visible achievements in other fields). Awaiting Yours. |
Employers dont need government edicts to determine who to ignore. |
a haiku for thee then: better a one-liner than a page full of pure filth like cap twenty eight's |
