how useful are u and how is it reflecting in the society at large.whenever i land at Murtala mohammed airport, i immediately become sick because of uselessness. another name for nigeria is uselessness and that is why we do not have what it takes to call someone else useless. the idea of linking me to puntuations and spellchecker is good but we are not here for english classes so that is a square peg in a round hole. when i was registering here, no one asked me of my educational qualifications and with the poor educational system in nigeria, useful ppl like u must learn to forgive those mistakes. in other words, take your corrections to the birds bcs i don't need them. make u no forget, the useless balotteli is more useful than u and your partners put together. One thing you ignore. I did not create the topic, I responded. At no time did I call him useless, I simply listed his attributes. You are on a site where everyone has freewill and a right to say what they wish (including you). Criticism is a part of life and you nigerians cant seem to handle criticism well. you take it personal. am sorry if i offend you and your friends. it is sop un fortunate that i do not know how to be stingy with the truth or decorate lies but maybe in future i will learn that but for now, i am supporting your position which said that balotelli is so useless. the difference here is that the useless balotteli is more useful than u all put together in your usefulness. he has a coach and a club that is paying his weekly salaries so why ignorant imbeciles in one poverty strickened village in nigeria calls him useless. i am not a fan of man city or balotteli but we must learn to respect others with their lives. like i said, only those in the world of uselessness identify their colleagues with ease. if you want to throw bomb, go ahead. before you learn humility/civility, learn punctuation and effective use of paragraphs. Any man, irrespective of salary, who does not satisfy the needs of the key end-users of his responsibilities/duties is useless. The EPL is not being played for coaches and the people that pay salaries, Mr Dumbass. It is being played for us, the viewing public. Like it or not, I still say you are a penniless money-bag-lover. what is the relevance of telling us about his paycheck? if thats the case then nobody has a right to criticize any sports athlete since they mostly earn huge sums. of course somewhere in that thick skull of yours you realize thats not the case. By the way, try modifying your post, I already identified a few areas where you might need reframing. Use A Spellchecker. |

Sun of god: Breaking News - Arab League Criticise 'No Fly Zone'
http://www.khaleejtimes.com/DisplayArticle09.asp?xfile=data/international/2011/March/international_March1130.xml§ion=international#
Arab League criticises Western strikes on Libya (AFP)
20 March 2011, 5:55 PMCAIRO - Arab League on Sunday criticised Western military strikes on Libya, a week after urging the United Nations to slap a no-fly zone on the oil-rich North African state.
“What has happened in Libya differs from the goal of imposing a no-fly zone and what we want is the protection of civilians and not bombing other civilians,” Arab League secretary general Amr Mussa told reporters.
On March 12, the Arab League urged the United Nations to impose a no-fly zone on Libya and said Moamer Kadhafi’s regime had “lost legitimacy” as it sought to snuff out a rebellion designed to oust him from power.
In the West’s biggest intervention in the Arab world since the 2003 US-led invasion of Iraq, US warships and a British submarine fired more than 120 Tomahawk cruise missiles into Libya on Saturday, the US military said.
French warplanes also carried out strikes.
The UN Security Council passed Resolution 1973 on Thursday authorising military action to prevent Kadhafi’s forces from attacking civilians. really so how do you explain the following: Qatar defends participation in Libya operations Qatari Prime Minister Sheikh Hamad bin Jassem al-Thani on Sunday defended his country's participation in military operations in Libya, saying the aim was to "stop the bloodbath"AFP , Sunday 20 Mar 2011 Print Send Qatar's Foreign Minister Sheikh Hamad Bin Jassem Bin Jabor Al Thani surrounded by bodyguards as he arrives to attend the Arab League's emergency meeting in Cairo, March 12, (AP).An international coalition began strikes in Libya with combat jets and cruise missiles on Saturday, aiming to stop Libyan leader Moamer Kadhafi from suppressing a revolt launched on February 15 against his rule.
"Qatar is participating in the military action because it is necessary for Arab states to take part," Sheikh Hamad, who is also foreign minister, told Al-Jazeera satellite channel.
"The situation is untenable in Libya, this is not a confrontation between protesters and police forces; it is an open war in which mercenaries are participating, and this must stop as soon as possible," Sheikh Hamad said.
However, he also said the operation "is not directed against the Libyan people, nor against the colonel (Kadhafi) and his sons. The important thing is to stop the bloodbath."
Qatar is the only Arab state to have promised Saturday at an emergency meeting in Paris to participate in military operations in Libya.
A United Nations diplomat said the United Arab Emirates would also participate, but this has not been confirmed.
The United States has stressed the importance of Arab participation in the international effort. |

md4real: Also, revolutinarist fromcountries like tunisa and ehgypt complained about povert, unemployment and other social vices. But , i tell authoritatatively that the libya people has no reason to do that. Wanna know why? Each family receives a monthly allowance of 500 dollars a month as part of the government social security plan, a libyan graduate is entitled to a job, car and a house plus a state sponsored wedding if he wishes. The gdp of libya is better than that of south african (so dont bring nigeria into it) and the standard of living of an average libyan is better than that of an america or briton. Talking about democracy, what has it provided for me @ least, in the last 12year in nigeria? Guys, if a nigerian leader can provide the above for me and make our nation better, i DONT MIND HIM RULING FOREVER.
GADDAFI must go and principle of democracy must be enshrined in libya right? Lemme ask, is it the type of democracy practice in kenya, ivory coast or nigeria? no. just the type of democracy practiced in ghana and botswana. You would prefer that the state in libya pay stipends to a household rather than allow the breadwinner rise to full potential and feed his family even more than a state stipend. They have the population of lagos state and the oil of nigeria. THEY SHOULD BE EVEN RICHER THAN THAT. All that state wealth should not be in the hands of one family. The ghadaffi family should not have a right to lord it over everyone else. md4real: If france and it western allies are passionate about democracy, why did they not interfere in ivory coast and kenya. Certainly, gaddafi will be kicked out but civil water will be libyan's order of the day. There is no certainty of that happening. thats just ghadaffi's propaganda. |

People use your mind for once and stop being naive. The West is involved in Libya, because of oil. Have you seen oil prices in the West? They are on the rise, because of this conflict.
So you mean rising oil prices benefit the West? Western countries already harvest the bulk of libyan oil. Its actually more profitable to leave ghadaffi there than to handover to a more patriotic government elected by Libyan voters. In an attempt to justify rabid hatred of the West, people support all manner of things. You dont mind having a dictator kill his people as long as he makes the right noises about imperialism and resisting the invaders. bechex: Well, I believe everyone has his own opinion on what is happening in Libya, but some facts need to be ironed out, 1. The Libyan People held peacefull protest againt their President 2. Ghadaffi initiated attacks on his people, killing a lot of them using Millitary means including airstrikes against peacefull protesters. 3. The People started an armed revolt against him and he threatened to punish them. He said he will 'have no mercy'
The question we should ask ourseleves is that what would we do if we were in the shoes of the UN. After pleading with someone to implement a ceasefire, and he promises to ceasefire but ample evidence shows that he is still shelling his people. With the imminent slaughter of innocent people, what do you expect the UN to do, what would u do if you were in the shoes of the UN.
The issue of Bosnia, Zimbabwe or Rwanda should not be an issue here. if you can convince yourself that you would sit and do nothing in this case then u can criticize the UN.
I rest my case May God continually bless thee. |
Foreign Affairs › Re: French Military Jet Opens Fire In Libya. by kodewrita(m): 1:58pm On Mar 20, 2011 |
Dede1: The military actions taken against Libya by France, Britain, USA, Canada and Italy reverberated echo of colonial attacks on Benin Empire and Opobo Kingdom. I could not believe this day will pass when colonial powers and countries of prey will engage on military attack on sovereign African country under the pretence of democracy.
This is the same manner applied when they first visited Africa under the cloak of spread Christianity and civilization. Apparently, Africans inherited skewed civilization, foreign religion and colonization as well as depletion of human beings through slavery. In addition, the colonial masters afflicted Africans with mental laziness which suddenly saw them selling off their kinds.
It appears symptoms of colonization will stay with Africans for a very long time. Today, Africans stood akimbo even jubilating as Libya is being destroyed by the countries whose construction firms would be contractually contracted to rebuild a destroyed Libya. Honestly, it does not take cruise missiles and bunker-busting bombs to remove Gadhafi from the reign of power. The fact remains a covert action that could unseat Gadhafi will not pay greater profits than massive destruction of Libya’s economic infrastructures.
The Republic of Chad had a situation such as Libya however UN, Britain, USA, France, Canada and Italy drew blank on diplomatic circles. Of course, the colonialists will play nonchalance towards Chad’s affairs because the country has no drop of crude oil. Did the colonialists not turn their backs on Rwanda? I say shame on Africa. Chad is partly propped up by Ghadaffi. He has actually sent troops to aid Deby (Chadian dictator) when the latter was under siege by chadian rebels fighting for regime change. Expect a chain reaction as many miscreants lose a source of funds. |

cap28: Absolutely, according to one analyst the implementation of a no fly zone will cost the american tax payer $15 billion per annum - im sure the american taxpayers will be pleased to hear that despite rising unemployment and cuts in public spending on health and education obama and his cronies are still quite happy to finance a FOURTH war. UK tax payers will of course be ecstatic about having to pay for this as well.
nigeria, gabon and south africa shame on you for voting in favour of this criminal intervention - remember that as far as the west is concerned there is no such thing as permanent friends just permanent interests. They are not new expenses. the weapons are already paid for and launching them cost less than you imagine. Besides we are not expecting a year-long war so giving us costs on a per annum basis is inappropriate. God bless the countries that voted for this. You would rather taxpayers make their decisions on economic rather than moral grounds yet you criticise their governments for selfishly following their economic interests. You are the confused one. Fucckk the spineless AU. The spineless AU (filled with dictators like Paul Biya, Mugabe, Laurent Gbagbo, Jammeh, Santos, Deby and others) was almost wholly bankrolled for many years by Ghadaffi.
