FamilyRe: Handling Gold-diggers & Men Insecure Of Richer Partners by kokoye(m): 8:53pm On Aug 17, 2012
The girl must be ugly...sorry. or somthn is surely wrong with her. Even she herself is insecure. trying to trick insecure guys like her into marriage..liar.

If you are wealthy, young, rich and confident, you wil get a guy...even in Nigeria.

If they dont ask you out, why dont you seek out a guy you like and ASK HIM OUT?

Insecure person.

End of story.

he was given a dead seed say a deadlock business and he made no attempt to solve the problem at hand like his other colleague worst still he didn't even bother to ask them how come their seed were growing? what kind of man is johnny anyway?
Even pastors dey help themselves noawadays. leave story jo
LiteratureRe: The Story Of A Wise Business Man by kokoye(m): 4:42pm On Aug 09, 2012
Good story but unfortunately, life is not always a bed of roses with a fixed formula. Some have been honest and were rewarded while some smacked in the face with their honesty and died in the process...and God will still be God.

Who are those enjoing Nigeria as we speak? the corrupt and dishonest politicians. They employ and pay honest people and churches.

These dishonest and corrupt politicians even have special seats in the front of churches and in pastors offices. Abi, no be money be the wheel of religion?

Yes I said it.

God help us all.
SportsRe: Team Nigeria's Poor Olympics Performance: Causes? by kokoye(m): 4:31pm On Aug 09, 2012
To win at such levels, people have to be encouraged. And it does nto start when they are adults..you catch them young and then you train, motivate and reward them. Whatever happened to all the inter-house sports events and gymnastic displays that we used to have back in the days??

Now everybody wants to be a banker, oil dealer, entertainer or politician. The ones who actually want to do sports have to get out of the country and train elsewhere. The government and corporate organizations also do not care. Surprised? Nope.

And then we complain about poor performances.
SportsRe: Why Nigerians Have Not Vamoosed At The Olympics Like Cameroonians? by kokoye(m): 5:32pm On Aug 08, 2012
Tolaaaaannni: I guess because most of those nigerians representing nigeria at the olympics have been abroad before, so its nothing special to them. Take for instance the nigerian basketball team, I heard most of them went to school in america/abroad.
Most of the guys on that team were born in the U.S ...so they dont count. I think just one or two were actually born in Nigeria.

If they could make the U.S national team, I bet they wont be on the Nigerian team..just saying.
SportsRe: Why Nigerians Have Not Vamoosed At The Olympics Like Cameroonians? by kokoye(m): 5:18pm On Aug 08, 2012
I believe part of the reason is because more and more Nigerians have realised that it is not the most advisable thing to stay in a country where you dont have papers to work (or have nothing planned out). Definately not the U.K where they are trying everything possible for frustrate and weed out illegals.

Not worth it nowadays...especially if you got something decent going for you at home. But I guess those Camerounians had nothing going for them or they would have gone back home. I wont jugde cos I'm not in their shoes.

I dont care where you live. Your comments on this thread spew hate. People are giving their experiences and you claim they are lieing.

I am not here to trade words with you..simply an advice.
TravelRe: Nigerians In Diaspora - Is It Really Still Rosy Out There? by kokoye(m): 4:39pm On Aug 08, 2012
This thread was created solely to bash people outside of Nigeria. I wonder why.

Is it a crime to choose to live elsewhere?

Some bash on you because you live outside of naija while you are here working hard to take care of your family both here and back home in Naija.

The funny thing is if you say you want to move back home, the same exact people will start beefing you..saying you shouldnt expect you can use your 'fake degree and phonetics' to get jobs when you return.

I wonder what we really want.

HATE for your fellow man.

No wonder it is difficult to grow and advance in life.

Cant we all just get along??

Life is not a bed of roses anywhere. We have to try to work hard and with God our our side, there is hope.

Let me know when and / or if you decide to move to Houston.

werepeLeri: I have a few British friends who went back to look for work because the benefits they were getting from the government had been cut off- to them, things are no more rosy.

I have a few British friends who graduated from Uni and has no jobs. To them, things are not rosy.

I know Nigerian guys who used to earn 1500 pounds a week from IT contracts( I used to earn that in London), but now, they cant even get one contract - to them, things are no more rosy.

The British for example agree things are dull, down and not as before, but my Naija guy wants you to believe, no, the British guys are wrong, things are still as rosy as before, in fact, better.
Exactly. And that's why I said it depends on which side you are looking from.

Life is not rosy ANYWHERE. We have to try, work hard and pray for favor.

Tolaaaaannni: But with a minimum wage job?? not really.Don't forget that they have to pay tons of bills.
I dont know where you live but come to Texas when you have time. I will show you loads of illegal mexicans working hard and making good cash. Yea, maybe the things you wouldnt do. Building, road maintenance, handy work, food items, etc.

These guys are not looking for the kind of jobs you have - they prefer to work hard with their hands and get the cash. Hard work and long hours I agree. But I'll choose that over taking bribes and going to beg uncles or aunties for handout.

werepeLeri: Is America the only country in the diaspora? Or the meaning of diaspora is lost on some folks. Retardeens.
We all know what your problem is. I dont need to say it.

Is America part of the diaspora...or not, according to you?

Am I allowed to talk about where I live ..why do you have a problem with it?
TravelRe: Nigerians In Diaspora - Is It Really Still Rosy Out There? by kokoye(m): 6:57pm On Aug 07, 2012
I decided against giving my opinions on posts like this because some people will not just understand - it depends on which side you are facing.

When I was in grad school and doing security work, a typical Nigerian would see me and thing I was wasting my life away because I had a 'fantastic' job back in Naija. But for me, it was a means to an end. With the money I made from being a security man in America, I was able to pay for my masters, had my own apartment, send money to my parents and sisters and travelled around the world regularly. Would a security man in Nigeria be able to do that? I think not but I stand corrected.

Now, years after I finished school here, I am enjoying the fruit of my labor and God has been good to me. Almost all of my friends are very successful in this country because they went to school here and have paid their dues as well.

If you think America is a bed of roses where you can come and land it big without working hard or struggling, you're kidding urself..or maybe you are into 419. But then, who knows.

The issue is most people meet us here when we are struggling and working hard and decide every Nigerian in America is in financial pain. Open your eyes and you will see Nigerians doing very well here. To join that team, you must be ready to work hard and then reap the fruits.

Come to Texas and you will see illegal immigrants working hard (manual) and buying houses and cars cash down. Yes I said it. If you are ready to work hard in this country, you will make it. No one cares what kind of work you do.

I dont know what's going on in Nigeria but I know life is not a bed of roses anywhere - you must work hard either in Nigeria or wherever. People are getting rich or broke in every nation. That's life.

This past week, three of my friends were robbed at gun point while they stopped at the traffic light under the Folomo bridge on the V.I side. These were separate incidents and all happened between 7 & 8pm on separate days.

I hope the relevant authorities are taking note.
PoliticsRe: Our Olympic Performance, A Reflection Of The Nigerian Nation by kokoye(m): 5:40pm On Aug 06, 2012
If we had won a medal, Goodluck would have wasted billions in creating a committee to look into the victory and there would have been a lavish celebration / welcome party..promising the athletes without fulfilment. And some Nigerians would call the god of the sport a Nigerian.

The govt officials would tell us they spent 80 million on the celebration - but we all would know that more than half of that is in their pockets and still, we wont do anything about it.

Maybe it's better we dont win anything sef...but sad though.
