babakb: That is the harsh reality, Men's sickness deteriorates more in old age than women, most of the men forming redpill are below 35 years of age and they know nothing about marriage and life.
Over 55% of Men above 40 are battling with at least one of these: High BP, Diabetes, Prostrate Cancer, Pile, Partial/Whole Stroke, Kidney Infection/Stones, Obesity, Arthritis/Rheumatism, Erectile Dysfunction, Declining Eye Sight etc
So as a man if you like be forming James Bond, all that strength and exuberance will vanish the moment you cross 45 years, at an advanced age you need your wife and kids to care for you, and the level of care you will get from them depends largely on the care you gave them in your prime.
At this time, all the people you chose over your wife will forsake you because you're a liability. Here’s an advice for you. Treat your spouse well and marry a man that respects you, so that you won’t wait for old age to unveil your wicked soul. |

Freezer's and light can't be on unnecessary. Once things are frozen just off the freezer. Look for energy saving bulbs. If you have car now plan your movement,no more using car to go and barb your hair .
I was one of those who was against the unplanned removal of subsidy. I support the removal, but is of the view that measures on how to tackle the effect of the removal, should be in motion first.
We might have backed different people during the election, but the reality on ground now is that we are now in this together.
The ones laughing the policies of the government, the ones supporting and even the neutral one,we are all in this together.
My wish is that all the sacrifices Nigerians are making now should never be for nothing. Evidently, the masses are the only ones making the sacrifices here. This is a clear indication that nothing good and beneficial will come out of it. |

grandstar: Economics in reality isn't a walk in the park.
Buhari left a big mess which will be very hard to clean.
For instance, there was $800m the airlines wanted to remit abroad that the CBN could not satisfy. Altogether, unmet demand for $12bn was reputed to be in the area of $12bn.
What do you think would happen once the Naira was floated? Meeting this unmet means demand will be very hot.
Anyway, these are still early days! The government will only be 30 days old today. I get that it is still early days, but it is worrying to see how bad things are realistically looking in such a short time. Also, Buhari leaving a big mess is a clear indication that APC should not have returned to power. |

grandstar: I doubt it will hit 800. It seems it has hit its average. More positive reforms on the part of this government should see it strengthen.
Though people condemned the appointment of this present acting CBN governor (his appointment was probably by default), he is doing a good job. He wasn't frightened by the short term free fall of the Naira which honestly would spook the best of economists. He has held his ground so far and we are now starting to see the benefits.
I honestly speaking can't wait to start buying online with my Naira debit cards soon. Wow! I never thought we will ever get to this point where we applaud failings. ‘doin a good job by watching the naira fall’🤷♂️ Do you actually mean what you just typed or is this another sarcasm? |

ThankUUJesus: what do you expect
Reflecting back to 2006, the EFCC Chairman Nuhu Ribadu once highlighted in the Senate the notorious governors involved in stealing, including Orji Kalu from Abia State, Ahmed Bola Tinubu from Lagos State, Ahmed Sani Yerima from Zamfara State, George Akume from Benue State, and Abudulahi Adamu from Nassarawa State.
Fast forward to 2023, things have taken a sharp turn. Orji Kalu is now a Senator, Bola Ahmed Tinubu is the President, Ahmed Sani Yerima is a Senator, George Akume is a Senator and holds the SGF position appointed by Tinubu, and Abdullah Adamu is now the APC Chairman. Strangely enough, Nuhu Ribadu, who failed to prosecute Tinubu, has been appointed by Tinubu himself as Special Assistant on Security. To add to the irony, the Senate is now headed by Senator Akpabio who is still under prosecution for massive corruption charges. Suffice it to say that Nigeria is being held hostage by corruption and its aftermath. Unfortunately, this is just sad. |

anyway, it’s a waste of time to advise a bunch of highly tribalized, entitlement oriented, ignorant population…. Tinubu’s adjustment is not just subsidy. Every single changes he’s made so far is causing hardship. It is insensitive to compare lockdown that was temporary and this change that is long term and indefinite. Adjustment means you get poorer. You won’t die, but your quality of living drastically diminishes and an idiot whose quality of life improved is responsible. |

Family › Re: People Are Suffering. by komzy589(m): 12:14pm On Jun 25, 2023 |
nairalanda1: Dang...a lot of people are suffering.
But the harsh truth is, at the end of the day, if the subsidy had not gone, if the government had kept subsides on petrol and power, well...
We would have been 'enjoying' and things would have been okay...until at the end of the day, in three years time, when the cost of subsidy is higher than our revenue, and we are borrowing money to make up the balance of subsidy payments, and borrowing for everything else...till IMF comes in and tells us that we can't pay for your addiction no more.
Then things would get really hard.
The way I see it, and I am not an APC fan, it is simple...we start taking hard decsions now, or we are forced to take harder decisions three years later, when IMF stops giving us loans.
One thing Nigerians need to wake up to is that the problem is not from who is in charge...although APC is a mess, it is the policy that those in charge , especially APC practice. We too dey rely on oil revenue...which cannot feed half our nation, talkless of one tenth. Meanwhile, looters and corrupt people come in and steal that tiny money
It is either we become more fiscally responsible, or we take more and more loans until we join Sri lanka and even Argentina at the bottom of the lake. And if you think you are suffering now...
God knows that if we removed subsidy in 2012, we won't be here by now. Everybody is in support of the subsidy removal. But the issue is, what is the government putting in place to cushion the effect. You cannot take a decision that will kill everyone you’re trying to save. Look, if this government was serious, we will know. If PMS is going to sell for 540/litre, a minimum wage of less than 30k cannot sustain it. Why not start from there. I don’t know, but trying to defend APC and Tinubu always make one sound stupid. |

CJStarz: Kindly read her first post on this. Sometimes,we abuse the understanding of the lordship of a man. Many women have died or had their dreams terminated all because they were submitting to the lordship of a wacko,a mentally deranged man. Inasmuch as women are meant to be submissive but when the man's decision is detrimental to you and your children, you should now apply your wisdom as a human being that you are. Abigail in the Bible didn't submit to the foolish lordship of Nabal, her husband. That saved her life and the lives of the rest members of the household. In as much as what you said is the truth, I think you still strike me as a rebellious woman. Submission doesn’t mean sticking one’s neck out for the head to me chucked off, but putting ones desires as secondary in a sensible dilemma such as this. For the fact that you’re completely insistent on the woman putting her foot down instead of appealing to the husband for reconsideration already tells the kind of person you are. Unfortunately, this attitude will not get you anywhere because in any union, there’s a leader. That’s why there’s the proverbial for ladies “Marry only a man that can lead you”. |
