Davido Reacts As Photo Of His Grandfather With The Ex-President Of US Farmers Union Surfaces Online (Photos)

Nigerian Singer and songwriter, David Adeleke popularly known as Davido reacted after a photo of his late grandfather, Chief Ayoola Adeleke together with a former farmer Union president surfaced online, IgbereTV reports.

Davido re-shared the photo on his Instagram story with the caption;

According to an Instagram post with the photo shared by Asiri Magazine's on Friday 29th October 2021, Davido’s grandfather was reported to be the second Republic senator and labour activist from Ede and during his lifetime he was also the vice-president of the United Laboúr Congress of Nigeria as well as the chairman of Nigeria Red cross, Ede Branch.

The post read;

https://www.instagram.com/p/CVmAjluIeUY/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link
That's a classic photograph and piece of history. grin

Senator Ayoola Adeleke (Davido's paternal grandfather) was a real
Senator in the 2nd Republic. The use of the term "reported" in the post is inappropriate here.

However, the late Nnenna Adeleke was an indigene of Akwete in Abia State NOT from Old Enugu as the OP indicates. I'm also aware from her official obituary publication that she passed on in 2009 when Davido was just 17 years and hadn't gained prominence in the public domain.

She was studying nursing in Enugu when she met and got married to Davido's grandpa who was also a professional nurse in Enugu.
In 1967 the entire Adeleke family had to leave Enugu for Ibadan because Nigerian families who were not from the defunct Old Eastern Region were told to leave by the Ojukwu as a result of the impending Nigerian Civil War.

That changed the course of history for the Adelekes of Ede, Osun State.

I hope this helps.

Major Gen. Henry Adefope is one of the greatest diplomats

Prof. Jide Osuntokun's name is on the book

HI travel buddies,

am thinking of a suicide mission of driving round Africa starting from my birthday December 6.

Plan is to go through pH to uyo to calabar to Cameroon and all to Tanzania. Has anyone ever embarked on this kinda journey? I suppose my Nigerian passport covers all this talking of customs in the other country borders and all. Have so prepared for this trip so no going back. I just need tips I need to be ware of and of course if there is any travel buddy ready to try this out.

Plan is to visit all wildlife's as much as I can touch from December 6 to 20. In preparation for the trip, have started processing a generally acceptable drivers license in all African countries and that should be out next week, I also plan embarking on a trip to Cameroon border this Tuesday from Lagos just to know what am up against in preparation for December 6. Suggestions, lessons and ideas are welcome.

And cars to select from are as follow. A 2009 upgraded to 2013 C300

A Lexus Rx330 2007

A 2010 Toyota corolla (sport)

A muscle Camry 2010 sport

Audi A2 2002

Audi A4 2007.

Suggestions etc are welcome.

Which means you'd be passing through Congo. You need to plan that properly. From the first border to the other border bordering Tanzania or Uganda (as the case may be), you will need a lotta of manipulation through the Nigerian/Anglophone hating people of Congo. When you pass the border try not to tell thr locals you're from Nigeria, they hate Nigerians or any other English speakers.

And it seems you will also be passing through CAR? Hmmnn.

So yesterday i walked into a skill acquisition centre filled with teenagers between the age of 12 to 18 and the ooze almost made me pass out, so i decided to research and find out what is the cause of this age long mistery, since m primary school days i have noticed that female teenagers have a particular ooze but i never took it serious until yesterday.

Why is female teens’ body odor so strong?

Teens just sweat more, according to Rebecca Mather, a member of a University of Wisconsin-Extension/UW-Madison team that shares research in parenting education and adolescent development.

“One consequence of puberty is an increase in new hormones,” reports Mather. “These hormones cause an increase in the amount of moisture teens’ sweat glands produce.”

Add to that the fact that teens sweat in more places on their bodies. During puberty, hormones cause a different type of gland—primarily under the arms and in the groin area—to produce oils in addition to sweat. Bacteria breaking down oily sweat under the arms and in the groin area that produce body odor.

Surprisingly, sweat alone doesn’t smell bad. It’s bacteria living on the skin and clothing, breaking down the oily sweat that actually produces body odor.

Smelly feet are caused by something different. While feet don’t have the glands that produce oily sweat, socks and shoes retain moisture allowing bacteria and yeast to grow on feet, causing a different type of bad smell.

Finally, new hormones produced during puberty cause teen sweat to contain chemicals that aren’t present in childhood. These chemicals produce stronger odors as they break down.

Managing teen body odor

–The obvious first line of defense is to wash. Parents should encourage youth to wash their armpits and groin area at least once a day and after exercising; washing removes bacteria as well as sweat and oils.

–Youth should shower or bathe regularly. Hair and skin also produce additional oils during adolescence and will not look or smell great without regular cleaning.

–Use antibacterial soap, deodorant and antiperspirant. Antibacterial soap kills bacteria that interact with sweat to cause body odor. Deodorant contains aluminum, which stops bacteria from growing. Antiperspirant blocks sweat ducts, producing less sweat, which also equals less bacteria.

–Dry feet thoroughly after washing. Young people with foot odor should use cotton socks to absorb moisture and avoid wearing shoes without socks. Another tip is to use deodorant or antiperspirant on the bottom of dry feet.

When nothing works

See a doctor for help. “There are prescription remedies than can address the problem,” says Mather. “Young teens should not face the potential embarrassment that can result from unchecked body odor. While increased body odor is a normal part of adolescence, being able to manage it is an important part of growing up.”

Foreign Affairs › Re: Chinese Authorities Tell Billionaire To Use His Own Money To Pay Firm Debt by Konquest: 5:50pm On Oct 31, 2021
Cousin9999:
Authorities in China have told Evergrande's billionaire founder, Hui Ka Yan, to use his own money to pay the company's debt, Bloomberg reported, citing people familiar with the matter.

The directive was issued after the real-estate behemoth missed an initial September 23 deadline to pay an $84 million coupon on a dollar bond, Bloomberg added. Evergrande later paid the coupon during the note's 30-day grace period.

Hui's fortune alone is unlikely to be enough to rescue the debt-laden property developer.

According to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index, Hui's net worth is about $7.6 billion - that's small change compared to Evergrande's $300 billion debt pile as of June.

It's also unclear whether Hui's personal stash is liquid enough for the mission. His wealth is largely derived from his shares in Evergrande and their cash dividends, Bloomberg reported.

Markets the world over have been roiled by Evergrande's debt woes as investors fear contagion across the world economy. The developer has an interest payment worth $45 million due on Friday.

But local governments in China are keeping tabs on Evergrande's bank accounts to ensure the company's funds are being used to complete housing projects under construction rather than pay creditors, Bloomberg reported.

Hui did not immediately respond to an Insider request for comment via Evergrande.

abdelrahman:
Barbados Elects Its First President To Replace Britain’s Queen Elizabeth As Head of State

History has been made on the Caribbean island of Barbados, where a two-thirds vote elected the country’s first president.

According to CNN, last week, Barbados elected Dame Sandra Mason as the island’s first president on Wednesday. After a joint session of the country’s House of Assembly and Senat, the voting took place, which elected Mason by a convincing two-thirds vote. With this move, she replaces Great Britain’s Queen Elizabeth as the head of state.

With this history-making vote, come Nov. 30, which happens to be the country’s 55th anniversary of independence from Britain, Mason will be sworn in as the president. Barbados Prime Minister Mia Mottley described the election of a president as “a seminal moment” in the country’s journey.
“We have just elected from among us a woman who is uniquely and passionately Barbadian, does not pretend to be anything else (and) reflects the values of who we are,” Mottley said after Mason’s election.

Last year in September, the government of Barbados announced that it will move forward to become a republic and will effectively remove Queen Elizabeth II of Great Britain as the head of state. In a speech by Parliament, the government said that it will aim to complete the process just in time for the 55th anniversary of the country’s Independence from Britain in November 2021.
The Guardian reported last year that with this move, Barbados would join Trinidad and Tobago, Dominica, and Guyana with its plan to become a republic. Jamaica may be making the same move as the recently re-elected prime minister, Andrew Holness, has previously stated that he wanted to put the proposal to “a grand referendum.”

Barbados had taken an earlier step toward independence from the United Kingdom in 2003 when it replaced the London-based judicial committee of the privy council with the Caribbean court of justice, located in Trinidad, as its final appeals court.

In the Caribbean, the Queen remains head of state of Antigua and Barbuda, the Bahamas, Barbados, Belize, Grenada, Jamaica, St Lucia, St Kitts, and Nevis, St Vincent and the Grenadines.

The source of this article is incidentally "Black Enterprise" magazine which was founded
by a Barbadian who became a naturalised American.

An awesome move by Little England (Barbados) and Jamaica. After 55 years of independence,
it makes no sense to still have
Queen Elizabeth as a Head of
State in those countries. Period!

Yeecar:
MUSHROOM
The greatest difficulty in feeding man is to supply a sufficient quantity of the body- building material i.e protein. The other three nutritional categories are: the source of energy food (carbohydrates and fats), accessory food factors (vitamins) and inorganic compounds which are indispensable to good health. Water is of course essential (Chang and Buswell, 2003). In addition to their good proteins, mushrooms are a relatively good source of the following individual nutrients: fat, phosphorus, iron and vitamins including thiamine, riboflavin, ascorbic acid, ergosterine and niacin. They are low in calories, carbohydrates and calcium.
In ancient Egypt, people consider mushroom as the plant of immortality, and the Pharaohs, respecting its delicious flavors, decreed that mushroom should not be touched by commoners.
Today, the science of mushroom has been fully developed for many species in the developed countries in Europe, North America and Asia. For example Agaricus bisporus, mostly produced in North America and European countries. Volvariella volvacea produced in china, Taiwan, Japan, the Philippines and Indonesia. Oyster mushroom Pleurotus ostreatus, P. pulmonarius produced in Asia, Italy and Hungary. The Jew’s ear Auricularia auricula is produced in China for centuries. While these countries are now deriving a great economic benefits (in mushroom exports) and increased the dietary of their people, Nigeria is still behind in this regard. Only a few smart entrepreneurs are into the production of mushroom in Nigeria, however this is not enough to meet the high demands of the health oriented public. There is alot of demand for Mushrooms in Nigeria due to the continous increase in population.

BENFITS

(1) Mushrooms offer tremendous applications as they can be used as food and medicines besides their key ecological roles. They represent as one of the world’s greatest untapped resources of nutrition and palatable food of the future. Mushrooms have been found effective against HIV, cancer, cholesterol reduction, stress, insomnia, asthma, allergies and diabetes (Bobek and Galbavy, 1999)
(2) The demand for mushroom is higher than supply all over the world. (here lies a great opportunity for those that are smart).
(3) Mushrooms are very cheap to cultivate, they grow on waste substances such as, Sawdust, Wood shavings, Cotton waste, Rice bran, Wheat bran, Yam peels, Cassava peels and other agro-industrial wastes.
(4) Mushrooms are relatively fast growing organisms. Some tropical mushrooms can be harvested and consumed within 10 days after spawning.
(5) You do not need a land, a room is enough to start with.
(6) Thus the activity can generate new jobs, especially in tropical or less developed countries.
(7) The return on investment is 500%!

cameroon national identity card, or lodge in a hotel, or rent a house without idendity card, for foreigners, they must provide all necessery document in order to be issued ticket, is very rare to hear the indigines discusing politics publicly no tribalism no religions sentiment, and its citizen has the equal right Irrespective of tribes,
@Elgorny,
Are your parents originally from
English-speaking or French-speaking Cameroon? Eg.
Bamenda, Yaounde?

Do you know Collins Teke, the
very likeable and multi-talented
OAP with NigeriaInfo 99.3fm
V/Island, Lagos? He is from Beua in English-speak Cameroon and was born and had his early education there, so he also speaks very good
French, and Yoruba having lived
in Lagos with his mother and
Nigerian-born siblings.

I listen in to Collins Teke at 10am
Nigerian time over the radio station mobile app or Internet radio.
Collins (who was born in 1988) reps
both Nigeria and Cameroon
because his mother is married to a Nigerian man, and he has younger siblings who are Nigerians. He
is also got married in 2019 to a
Nigerian lady. I'm writing this to give you an idea of someone who
has a similar parental history
like you.

NOTE:
@Elgorny

@Shirnalaura... is a Cameroon
member of NL. You may wish to link up with her and ask some
questions.

All the best.

Second, what's the Nigerian name of the fried slices of bread mixed in eggs that you made for breakfast?
I first ate the very tasty fried
delicacy in the North of Nigeria back in the 1980s, and haven't
had it since then.

Shortyyy:
Most times, a woman crying during penetration or afraid of sexual intercourse doesn't mean she's avoiding you.
She is not cheating on you, she isn't deliberately running away from you.

You know I read y'all comments here often and I call it sarcasm or just cruise catching. But I'm beginning to believe y'all aren't really enlightened at all, and not ready to learn.

I went through this thread https://www.nairaland.com/6385801/two-months-after-wedding-no#98489107 and I realized that it's either it's only children that are filled on this forum or baby adults. Including the poster. Talking about cheating on her because he's fede up. So you married her just because of sex okwa ya?

If you are a man here, and you're in this same boat with this poster, your woman is suffering from a condition called VAGINISMUS. It can be a medical condition or emotional.

The assignment I'm giving y'all is to research it. Read everything there is to know about it. Y'all should stop being foolishly ignorant.

Women go through a lot, they tend to not speak up because no one will believe them. They're the strongest being I've ever seen.

So before you bash a woman for being afraid of intercourse, kindly research the cause of it. Y'all problem is that you're impatient and selfish. It's always about you, not giving a damn what your partner might be going through. Once that thing in between your legs rises, nothing else matters. So pathetic.
Oi! Omoge calm down jo... LMAO.
A good dose of TLC and water-soluble lubricants would easily resolve this.wink

Hian! No thank you! My idea of adventure on a fresh date is trying to unravel who the guy is by sheer body language and his other response to his environment fa....this exclude survival response to road predators grin
Lazy you... Sisi Oge of "estate
walk dates"... Lol

OK then... I can now see from
your perspective what your love
language is. I kinda like that though. If you and I were to go on walk dates, you can expect some
occasional "survival responses."
Variety is the spice of life... To
each his own. grin

If either of you live in an estate, yes. But if na to start defending your legs, arms and purse from bikers, robbers and traffic, No thank you!
Sisioge, you're not adventurous
at all... Lol.

Defending your arms, legs, purse, and "jewel-encrusted bra" from occassional external conundrums is part of the thrill of adrenalin pumping while on a stimulating walk date. wink
