CW: SOME OF THE THEMES DISCUSSED IN THIS ARTICLE MIGHT BE TRIGGERING FOR PEOPLE WITH MENTAL ILLNESSES.

When it comes to navigating relationships, some external factors like mental illness affects the dynamic of said relationships. What’s it like being in love with someone that wants to commit suicide? Who finds it difficult to start each day? We ask seven Nigerians what it’s like being in love with people having mental illnesses:

Kayode, 24

As someone who is also mentally ill, it gives me a sense of comfort. I know that this is a space in which there will be no judgement when I have episodes or when life does what it does. It’s comfortable but scary. Scary because I know that death is an option. I don’t know which of us will go first, and it makes me worry.

Yinka, 28

Honestly? It can be exhausting, but it doesn’t mean it’s not worth it. Someone I fell in love with had anxiety and bipolar disorder. I knew she couldn’t always control her actions, but some of them hurt me as well. There was a time she cancelled on a date I had planned because she was super anxious that day and was unable to leave the house. It hurt. I wasn’t equipped with the facilities to understand or deal with it, and I don’t think I still am.

Amina, 20

A guy I was in love with has terrible anxiety. It gets so bad that sometimes he can’t go outside. He’s always thinking of a million and one possibilities and he always came up with the worst possible option. If I go without texting him for a few hours, he could assume the relationship is over. This led to me constantly over-explaining myself so he wouldn’t make assumptions. He was afraid of me triggering his anxiety and that was a lot of pressure on me. Loving someone with a mental illness is having to constantly be aware of your every action and inaction because of how much it directly or indirectly affects how they feel mentally.

Tobi, 22

As someone that thinks of committing suicide a lot, dating someone who probably thinks of it even more than I do is hard. Very hard. When he takes breaks, I get scared. I worry that this time he has to himself might cause him to hurt himself. I’m really worried and scared when he makes statements like “I just need a break from anything and everyone”. Also, when I am having an episode, I can’t really bring it up because he might be having one too. I don’t want to feel self-centred. However, everything is nice when mental illness gives us a chance to breathe. It just doesn’t give us a chance to breathe often.

Jumoke, 20

My current partner and I are both depressed, but I don’t think it affects the quality of the relationship. It’s just that when the low points happen, they’re really low and can be really scary. Sometime this year, my partner tried self-harming and that really broke me. I was far away at the time and all I could do was panic. I know how bad it can get and I want to protect him from everything but I can’t do a lot.

Depression is shit, and having to keep going because of someone is hard. I’m grateful to be dating someone that goes through the same stuff as me because it makes us very kind and understanding towards each other. Also, it allows me to see things from both sides. As loving someone that has a mental illness and also by navigating your own mental illness while loving someone. I worry that my love is not enough to keep him happy, but I know that I alone can’t be the only source of his happiness and it’s a combination of varying factors. We are mentally struggling, but we manage to keep each other afloat with practical and emotional support.

John, 22

It’s not fun. You love your person with everything in you, but when they get manic, it takes everything to love them twice as hard. Being equally mentally ill doesn’t make it easier to deal with. Sometimes, you’d be going through things too but they are in a worse condition so you suck it up and be there for them. If you are in love with someone suicidal either passively or not, you wake up every day wondering if this is the day they die. You will listen to them talk about how much they want to die even though all you want is a long life with them, but you can’t tell them that. You know that’s not what they want to hear, so you listen because that is all you can do. Loving someone with a mental illness means you will learn to leave your insecurities at the door and be softer and kinder while dealing with people.

I think for me, knowing that she goes through so much makes me want to keep some of my own things from her because I don’t want to add to her problems. I’m just glad that when she needs someone, she knows I am there. I’m not her therapist or a mental health care provider and I know that there’s so little I can actually do, but I do it regardless. I encourage her to seek help and just be there for her.

Anu, 21

Being in love with someone with a mental illness means I have to make a lot of sacrifices. You sacrifice your sleep, your own mental health, your peace, and so many other things. I try to remind myself that love is sacrifice, but does love sacrifice so much? I’m mentally ill myself and whenever I feel overwhelmed and unable to love my partners anymore, I ask myself if I’d want them to give up on me. It’s hard. It’s extremely difficult and it’s not something just anyone can do. At the same time, it’s also safe. It gives me a space where I can live without judgement. My mental illness means I already play life on hard mode, but it’s not all bad. There are days where it feels soft and everywhere is filled with laughter. Loving someone with a mental illness means I have to enjoy each day as it comes because you can lose everything in a second. It’s reminding myself that at the end of the day, the illness is not about me. They’re the ones suffering.

Investment › Re: 18 Important Real Estate Terms Everyone Should Know by Konquest: 12:58pm On Oct 20, 2021
james669:
Navigating the world of real estate, you’re going to end up coming across all kinds of real estate terminology that you may not be familiar with. Whether it’s your first time buying, or just don’t quite understand something, there is a lot of confusing terms used between real estate professionals.
Knowing what your real estate agent is talking about when they use common real estate terms will make the process smoother, and will also ensure communication is much easier.

Here are 17 basic real estate terms that will allow you to be better informed and involved in any real estate transaction.

• Buyer’s Agent and Listing Agent: Typically, there are two types of real estate agents that are involved in the home buying process. If you are buying a home, then you will want to be represented by a buyer’s specialist, while the listing agent will represent the seller of the home.

• Acceptance: The acceptance is the agreement to the terms of an offer, which then creates a contract. As soon as the seller signs on the dotted line on the purchase agreement, you’re in a binding contract for the sale of the house. Once the contract is signed, neither parties can back out without facing consequences. In the buyer’s case, they will lose the earnest money deposit and in the seller’s case, it could end up in a potential lawsuit.

• Closing: The closing date is the scheduled day on which the sale of the property is officially finalized and transferred thereafter. In order to meet the closing date, the buyer must sign all the mortgage documents and pay all closing costs and the seller completes the transaction with the buyer.

• Closing Costs: Closing costs are fees paid at the home closing, which is when the title of a residence is transferred from the seller to the buyer. These costs typically include real estate commissions, escrow fees, document recording fees, lawyer fees, title insurance fees, survey fees, and taxes. These costs can also include the expenses the home has incurred by buyers and sellers during any negotiations.

• Comparative Market Analysis: The best method available to home sellers to learn their home’s current value so they can select the best sale price is a CMA, or Comparative Market Analysis. CMA is the term real estate agents use when they conduct an in-depth analysis of a home’s worth in today’s market.

• Contingencies: A contingency is the condition that must be met before the deal can be finalized between the buyer and the seller becomes legally binding. If the home inspection reveals major problems, then the contingency allows the buyer to walk away from the contract without losing money. A common contingency is the home inspection. Other contingencies can include appraisal contingencies or financing contingency.

• Down Payment: The down payment is the amount of out of pocket money you pay toward a home before your lender provides you with a loan to cover the rest of the purchase amount. Your down payment can vary depending on the type of mortgage you take out. It can be anywhere from 3 percent to 20 percent of the total cost.

• Escrow: The escrow is a deposit of funds or documents, such as the earnest money deposit, that are held by an escrow agent, or other third party, until the sale goes through. The third party holds the property, cash, and the property title until all conditions of the property agreement have been met.

• Appraisal: An appraisal is a third-party opinion of value, as we covered in our appraisal blog recently. This is usually based on comparable sales within the area of the “subject property” (the house for sale).

• Equity: Your home’s equity is the difference between the home’s fair market value, and the unpaid balance of the mortgage. Equity increases over the life of the loan. For example, if your home is worth $100,000, and you owe $50,000 still, the other $50,000 is your equity.

• HUD-1 statement: A document that provides an itemized listing of the funds that are payable at closing. Items that appear on the statement include real estate commissions, loan fees, points and initial escrow amounts. A separate number within a standardized numbering system represents each item on the statement. The totals at the bottom of the HUD-1 statement define the seller’s net proceeds and the buyer’s net payment at closing.

• Home Warranty – Similar to any warranty, sellers and buyers can pay a fee to protect the home against future issues depending on how much their package covers, like plumbing, heating, or appliances.

• Inspection: A home inspection is scheduled after you have made an offer on a home. Some municipalities require an inspection, whereas some do not. The inspector goes through every part of the home to check on the foundation, walls, heating, electricity, plumbing, and appliances to see if they are up to code or need repairs. If the inspector finds something wrong in the home during the inspection, the inspection will fail.

• Lien: A lien is when a legal claim is put on a property in order to receive payment for debt. The holder of the lien can sell the property to recover the money owed.

• Listings: Real estate agents will often refer to homes for sale on the market as listings. These listings include basic information about the home for sale, such as the price, number of bedrooms and square footage.

• Private Mortgage Insurance: PMI allows buyers to put less than a 20 percent down payment on a home. A PMI is an insurance premium paid by the buyer to the lender to protect the lender if you are unable to pay your mortgage. Once you have 20% equity in the home, this insurance is discontinued.

• Realtor®: Don’t make the mistake of thinking a Realtor is the same thing as a real estate agent. Not all real estate agents are Realtors; only those that are members of the National Association of Realtors (NAR) can call themselves Realtors.

• Title and Title Insurance: Title is the legal term that identifies a piece of property that the owner is in lawful possession of that property. The title insurance protects real estate owners and lenders against any property loss or damage they might experience due to liens, encumbrances, or defects.

To all the women who feel pressured to tie the knot, do not purposely make your life a misery, it is not worth it. People will always talk, you’re damned if you do, damned if you don’t. Unfortunately we have unfortunate men and even women that will shame you and ridicule you for not getting married at the “right time”, these people will be the same ones that will laugh at you when you’re running from one place to another, crying about your marriage issues. Be patient, work on yourself spiritually, mentally and emotionally, build your finances, build relationships, work on your craft, and God will compliment you with your equal. My mother got married at 31, my mothers sister also got married at 34 and she’s blessed with 3 children today, and they’re still very happily married. Its not a rare situation, it’s called life. Shiit doesn’t always go according to plan, is your life suddenly over because of this? It’s not a crime to run your own race, quality men attract quality women. Men, see quality before anything. Boys use foolish stereotypes to produce their thoughts. This actually applies to both genders. Heck marriage is not for everyone, if its not for you, jejely stay on your own and live your life in peace. I shall say no more.

Gosh! I like long threads sha cheesy
Gosh! You sure do. grin

You must be a full professor of psychology. I read the entire post though.

OK! Here's my take on this topic:

1. Women are MORE emotional than men because y'all are naturally wired to use the "right" side of the brain [which deals with emotions] more than the "left" side of the brain [which deals with logic!].

Brain scans and neuroscience research affirm these facts, and I've got books in my home library on titles such as: "You Are The Placebo" to back it up.

2. Bukatyne, did you know that women have a sharper sense of smell than us men? There are more "nerve endings" in the nasal
region of women so this makes women to pick up smells faster than men!

3. It's the same way that the clitoral region is packed with a lot of "nerve endings" and is very sensitive. Men don't have such concentrated nerve endings on the male glans [which is the clitoral equivalent].

I'm emphasizing these 3 examples to let you know that women are wired differently from men... Even though men and women exhibit
the "twin aspects" of emotions and logic to varying degrees.

Ciao.

Webmasters › Re: 6 Ways To Check If Your Site Is Banned Or Deindexed From Google by Konquest: 9:40pm On Oct 12, 2021
newspostng:
A lot of times someone will see the traffic figures to their blog drop and they automatically assume that their site has been deindexed from Google (and they go on to have a heart attack and curse the gods). But before you assume your site has been deindexed you should do a simple check. Go to Google and search for this below:

site: CLICK HERE

If the Google results show URLs from your site than your site is not deindexed, you probably took a Google slap across your cheek and dropped in the SERPs. This happens and it is much easier to deal with this than to deal with a deindexing. If your site got deindexed there are a few popular reasons that may have caused this:

1. Has your site been hacked recently? Did someone put some malware on your site? If you’re not sure you can do a free and quick check from Securi found here. If Google sees something on your site that shouldn’t be there that can lead to a quick deindexing of your site. If you do find malware or something more evil on your site you should remedy that problem by getting it removed and then you can ask Google to add your site back to their listings.

2. Do you use duplicate content on your site or spammy articles? If so you could get a delisting from Google. Sometimes (if your site is hooked up to your Google Webmasters account) Google will send you a message and tell you that your site has a problem. Remember, content is king, and using crap content that they don’t think has any value could result in your site getting the ban hammer.

3. SEO tricks from the 90’s. Do you keyword stuff or use doorway pages or put stuff in the text the same color as your background. Using some shady SEO tricks that were invented 15 years ago can definitely lead to your website pulling a disappearing ac.......

Investment › Re: Krugerrands Hit World Record Highs by Konquest: 12:54pm On Oct 12, 2021
commodityport:
Political and economic uncertainty often result in currencies depreciating on the international exchange system, warranting that we invest in wealth hedges like gold and Krugerrands in order to preserve our wealth.

A noteworthy reminder is 1980 when gold reached over $800 per oz after Russia invaded Afghanistan. The same year, a limited amount of the fractional Krugerrands was first minted.

The authorized mintage was 100, but only 60 people accepted the invitation to buy the set and the final mintage is very low and they are extremely rare, says the Scoin Shop. They added: “These coins are so scarce that they are now worth approximately R150 000 for a set of 4 coins.”

Krugerrands, the 1 oz bullion coin, was the creation of the SA gold industry in 1967. It recently hit a new world and South African record of R22 500 per coin.

As threats continue being traded between major world powers, the international world order and the rand are equally untenable. For instance, in June this year, the rand hit record lows. This prompted a surge in the price of gold, which reached a five-year high of $1400 per oz.

This trend had started getting more pronounced especially since December last year, when the metal noticeably began picking up old and new fans in larger numbers. This marked interest in gold can in fact be traced to the past
few years.
“The demand for gold from collectors, investors and institutions is increasing which is evident in the holdings of the gold ETFs,” said the South African Gold Coin Exchange in a statement.
The statement cited banks, asset managers, stockbrokers and wealth managers as well as the media as among those talking up gold as the next big thing.

Analysts also point out that gold is even more attractive with Interest rates set to fall in the USA. Experts also contend that the groundwork has been laid for the next bull market, what with escalating trade wars and war games across the globe causing a great deal of concern.

This makes now the perfect time to find shelter in Krugerrands. Says the Scoin Shop: “South Africans have the best currency and rand hedge in their own back gardens in the form of Krugerrands. From a low of R27.50 in 1967, Krugerrands have reached a very respectable R22 500 some 52 years later.”

The rand’s fall was responsible for this high, according to the Scoin Shop. They said: “It was the perfect storm that created this scenario and holders of coins and their heirs must be satisfied that the perfect rand hedge gives them the edge.”

The Scoin Shop started in 1999 when gold was $300 an oz and has created thousands of new collectors and investors.

Krugerrands were first sold at the Rand Easter Show and are today sold by coin and gold dealers, jewellers, coin distributors, banks, wealth managers and investment advisors throughout the world, said the Scoin Shop.

They added that Krugerrands have spawned a 1 oz bullion coin industry with over 150 million different coins minted to date such as the US $50, Canadian maple leaf, Austrian Philharmonic and the Chinese Panda to name a few.

“This has also helped create a large group of collectors numbering some 300 million presently. In turn, Mints have created limited-edition variations of these coins which have grabbed the attention of collectors and investors internationally,” said the Scoin Shop.

Foreign Affairs › Re: How African Free-trade Deal Can Help Boost Exports To The US by Konquest: 12:32pm On Oct 12, 2021
commodityport:
The establishment of an African free-trade zone will enable the continent to speak with one voice and potentially boost exports to the US, says SA’s trade and industry minister Ebrahim Patel.

Concerns have been raised about the future of the African Growth and Opportunity Act (Agoa) under President Donald Trump's administration.

Enacted 19 years ago, Agoa gives special treatment to 39 African countries by abandoning import levies on more than 7,000 wide-ranging products. The US president has previously made it clear he wants to protect US domestic business and manufacturing against threats from abroad.

Analysts have suggested that this could mean added import duties on South African exports to the US. Trump’s foreign policy on Africa has not been clearly defined, with many observers suggesting that the continent is likely to slide down his list of foreign policy priorities.

In 2018, SA joined various other countries on the continent in signing the Continental Free Trade Area agreement that aims to create a single continental market for goods and services, with free movement of business people and investments. With about 1.2-billion people in Africa, the agreement is set to create one of the largest free-trade market zones in the world.

Patel and his deputy,  Fikile Slovo Majola, are attending the Agoa forum which started at the weekend and ends on Wednesday.

The Agoa forum is an annual meeting held alternately in Africa and in the US between the ministers of trade of Sub-Saharan African countries and their US counterparts.

Speaking in Abidjan in the Ivory Coast during the 18th Africa Growth and Opportunity Act forum, Patel said the continent has the opportunity to align the Continental Free Trade Area (CTFA) with plans to increase access to US markets.

“We have an opportunity in these proceeding to align Agoa to goals of the CFTA to enable us to speak with one voice,” Patel said of the Abidjan meeting.

He pointed out that Sub-Saharan exports to the US have been on a downward trend in recent years. Total exports from the region to the US increased from $22bn in 2000 to a high of $82bn in 2008 at the height of the commodity boom.

Patel said countries in the region have to work closely together to make the most of Agoa preferences and deepen trade relations with the US.

“The US is the world’s largest economy and access to the US market and to American investment in our economy are important ways of addressing job creation and the elimination of poverty. We look forward to a constructive and positive discussion with the US trade representative,” he said.

Business › Re: Top 10 African Countries Good For Starting A Business by Konquest: 12:29pm On Oct 12, 2021
commodityport:
A few decades ago, it was very easy starting up a business in any country on the black continent and have a huge growth after a little while, but gone are those days. In this century, setting up a business or organization requires an extra care and management, it is incumbent to note every detailed information and the substantial economic values of an African country before one decides setting up a business in such country.
According to the 2019 World Bank ‘Ease of Doing Business’ report, we were able to identify ten countries that executives and investors should consider while dealing in a business.

1 Rwanda

Rwanda is one of Africa’s fastest-growing economies with growth averaging more than 6 per cent every year since the turn of the century. Last year, it recorded the most business reforms in the region. The world bank says it has “carried out the most reforms since the inception of Doing Business 16 years ago.”

One major point of improvement pointed out in world bank’s Doing Business 2019 is the ease of starting a business in Rwanda. It has replaced its bureaucratic structures with an electronic system. Last year, it replaced its stifling special billing machine system for value-added tax invoices with free software that allows taxpayers to issue value-added tax invoices from any printer. Also, the country is only second to New Zealand in the ease of property registration in the world.

2 Kenya

The country was one of the world’s best performers in the areas of Getting Credit and Starting a Business, according to the world bank. In just two years, the country has moved 31 spots in the overall the Doing Business ranking. One major reform the government initiated was the introduction of a new law which improved the ease in accessing credit for businesses. The Kenyan government has also been collaborating with IBM to develop technological solutions for its agencies that have since resulted in making registration of property easier by introducing an online system to pay fees and obtain digital certificates.

Kenya’s economy is expected to continue growing at 6.1 per cent, according to the International Monetary Fund (IMF) projections or 5.9 per cent for the world bank’s prediction. What’s almost certain is that the country would remain East Africa’s leading regional hub for information and communication technology, financial, and transportation services.

3 Ghana

Since the smooth transition to the Nana Akufo-Addo government in 2016, the government has promoted private sector-led growth to revive the non-oil and non-agricultural sectors. Commodities including oil, gold and cocoa have been the mainstay of Ghana’s $47 billion economy. The rapid economic growth it has also enjoyed over the last few years have been closely linked to oil since it became a producer in 2010. Ghana has been under the watchful eye of the IMF since the $918 million credit deal agreed in 2015. The current programme is to end 2018. The government says it’s working hard to build a resilient and robust economy to avoid a return to the IIMF for financial bailout.

The world bank’s doing business report says Ghana had further simplified the process of importing. It now has a paperless customs clearance processing system. The country moved six places up in the overall index.

4 Côte d’Ivoire

The world’s largest exporter of cocoa beans has made significant progress in its business environment in recent years building on gains of a stable political environment. The country was one of the top 10 improvers in the world in the Ease of Doing Business rankings. Over the last two years, it has reduced processing time for building permits and has introduced a new system for electronic payment of taxes and a credit bureau. Last year, it introduced online systems for filing corporate income tax and value-added tax returns, according to the world bank.

The agro-based economy is expected to maintain a steady growth rate of 7 per cent or above in the coming year. It’s relatively developed road network and port, the second-largest in West Africa, puts it in a favourable position to attract investments in 2019.

5 Ethiopia

This landlocked country of over 100 million people on the Horn of Africa is transforming itself into Africa’s manufacturing hub. The Ethiopia government is luring investments with tax incentives, infrastructure investment, and cheap labour. Industrial parks construction is also part of the government’s plan. It already has six industrial parks and still looks to set up nine more across the country in the coming years.

Ethiopia has also gone through a historic political transformation after welcoming a new reformist prime minister, Abiy Ahmed, in April. He sought to open up the economy to private investments. He announced plans to sell minority stakes in state monopolies such as Ethio Telecom and Ethiopian Airlines Enterprise, the continent’s biggest airline, as well as Ethiopian Shipping & Logistics Services Enterprise to foreign and domestic investors. The IMF forecasted Ethiopia would be Africa’s fastest growing economy in 2019, with a projected 8.5 per cent growth rate.

The Ethiopian Investment Commission (EIC) launched an online investment guide, iGuide, in December 2018. The platform, created with support from the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (ECA) and the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD), will help investors discover opportunities in the country, business costs, key procedures and laws.

6 Mauritius

This tiny island country has one of the smallest market sizes on the continent, which means some investors tend to ignore it. However, the state has consistently ranked higher than other African countries in ease of doing business. It currently ranks 20th in world bank’s ease of doing business index.

Mauritius’ stable political system, liberal financial sector and low taxes which encourage business formation have made it an ideal environment for investors who prefer a business-friendly and less risky investment environment.

Mauritius signed a full free trade agreement (FTA) with China last year – Africa’s first formal FTA with China – and has expressed an interest in becoming a transhipment and financial hub on China’s Maritime Silk Road trade route. Mauritius has already agreed on a formal trade agreement with three African trade blocs — Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa, Southern African Development Community and the East African Community.

7 Morocco

Morocco is not only famous for its vibrant culture, superb cuisine and awe-inspiring landscape but also its friendly business environment. The greatly enhanced operating environment has served Morocco well to become a favourable position as a financial hub and platform from which European countries can access the African market. Between 2011 and 2019, Morocco climbed from the 114th place to the 60th place in the Ease of Doing Business ranking, indicating sustained improvements to the business climate.

The central bank of the Kingdom of Morocco expects a 3.1 per cent expansion in 2019. Tourism and manufacturing are expected to be the key growth drivers of the economy. The manufacturing sector is also expected to benefit from substantial foreign investment into the autos and aeronautics industries.

8 Nigeria

Africa’s biggest economy might not have so much short-term investment appeal due to low economic growth and high political risks. A lot hinges on the elections in 2019. The vote in mid-February would be a choice between President Muhammadu Buhari, who’s currently struggling to grow the economy after it plunged into recession in 2016, and former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, posturing as a pro-business alternative. We expect investors to adopt a ‘wait and see’ approach before attempting to come into the market.

Even though Nigeria dropped one position lower in the ease of doing business index, Nigeria was among the forty-six economies in the world that improved across three or more categories the world bank considers in its analysis. Notably, in two states, Lagos and Kano, starting a business was made easier by reducing the time needed to register a company at the corporate affairs commission and introducing an online platform to pay stamp duty.

9 South Africa

Africa’s second-largest economy is one of the easiest places to do business on the continent with advanced legal and financial structures. However, Africa’s most industrialised economy has been struggling to grow until it eventually plunged into a recession in the second quarter of 2018. The euphoria from Ramaphosa’s ambitious statements on reforms to rescue the economy has since cleared off.

Ramaphosa unveiled a “stimulus and recovery plan”, but his plans could be hampered by the general elections next year. The governing African National Congress (ANC), which has to contend with corruption allegations against Jacob Zuma, the former president, would be facing huge credibility and popularity test in the May elections. The country, which grew by only 0.8 per cent in 2018, also has to deal with struggling state-owned firms like power firm Eskom and South African Airways (SAA).

10 Egypt

Egypt snatched first position from South Africa in the 2018 investment attractiveness index by Rand Merchant Bank, one of Africa’s leading diversified financial services provider. Since North Africa’s largest economy recovered from the Arab Spring, it started implementing an economic reform programme backed by a $12 billion (Dh44bn) loan from the IMF in late 2016. Under the programme, the country introduced new taxes and floated the currency with the intention to overhaul the economy, boost investor confidence and restore stability to capital markets.

The country had fallen six places in the World Bank’s “Doing Business Report 2018” but was quick to issue some policy announcements in the weeks after the publication. Those reforms dragged it eighth places up in the 2019 edition of the report. The world bank noted that the country carried out five business reforms in 2017, which is the highest number to be carried out in Egypt in one year within the past decade. Notable among the reforms are reducing the time to start a business to 11 days now, from 16 days earlier; and strengthening corporate transparency to protect the rights of minority investors.

I see the blood of an innocent child
And everybody's watchin'
Now I'm looking out my window
And what do I see?
I see an army of a soldier man
Marching across the street, yeah
Hey, Mr. Soldier man
Tomorrow is the day you go to war
But you are fighting for another man's cause
And you don't even know him
Oooh!
What did he say to make you so blind
To your conscience and reason?
Could it be love for your country?
Or for the gun you use in killing?
So... there is fire on the mountain
And nobody seems to be on the run
Oh, there is fire on the mountaintop
And no one is a-runnin'
Hey, Mr. Lover man
Can I get a chance to talk to you?
'Cause you are fooling with a dead man's corpse
And you don't know what you do
So you say you have a lover
And you love her like no other
So you buy her a diamond that someone has died on
Don't you think there something wrong with this?

One day the river will overflow
And there'll be nowhere for us to go
And we will run, run
Wishing we had put out the fire, oh
For there is fire on the mountain, yeah, yeah
And there ain't nobody seems to be on the run
Nobody, nobody, oh!
Oh, there is fire on the mountaintop
And no one is a-runnin', so, yeah, yeah, yeah
There is fire on the mountain (fire in Africa, oh)
Nobody seems to be on the run

The article started by saying it's opinion is categorical and final grin
That's how you first suspect it's going to be complete nonsense

There is too much evidence to actually prove Odùduwà cannot be Ekaladerhan
1. If he was, Oranmiyan wouldn't have called himself Oba but retained the Ogiso title of his fathers
2. Ogiamien wouldn't say Oba is a foreigner and reject Oranmiyan with so much support that Oranmiyan actually failed to enter the city but had to found Uselu and rule from there
3. Ọba Ewedo who finally defeated the Ogiamien of his time wouldn't have bought the land of Bini from Ogiamien even after defeating him at war.. This is part of the Ekiopagha treaty
Why buy your own father's land??
4. No part of the oba of benin praises mentions or connects him with Ekaladerhan or the Ogiso
He is only mentioned as leopard of the Palace, son of Odudua of Ife
5. The claim that Odùduwà is corrupted from "Izoduwa" or Imadoduwa is flawed and dead when you realize the man is called "Ododuwa" in Benin traditions

If you want to find out more about Odùduwà, look to oke-ora, Ido and Igbo idio
These are 3 places where he is known to have lived with Oke ora being his actual origin
Great reply @Macof. Thumbs up!

The long cut-and-paste articles posted here by the OP contained
a lot of embarassing falsehoods!
I had to say my piece when I read all the contradictions in the OPs
post.

In addition:

1. The Ugbos (or Igbos, meaning
FOREST in Yoruba) in Ile Ife traditions simply refers to the original indigenes (NOT the Ibos
of the South East) of the land
who resisted the presence of
Oduduwa and it is well known in
Ile Ife [Ile Ife means: "this land is wide." Ile in this case means "land not house." Ife means "wide not love"] are the direct ancestors of the Ilaje Oba or king, the
Olugbo of Ugboland, Oba Frederick
Akinruntan in the oil-and-gas rich
Ugboland, Ondo State.

The family compounds of the
Ugbos (Ilaje-Yoruba people) is well known in Ife till today and even the
Alaafin of Oyo knows this fact according to the Olugbo of Ugbo Kingdom. It was the Ifa Oracle
that was consulted by the Ugbos that told them to stop the
attack on the Oduduwa group
and retreat to another location based on oral history of the
Ugbos (Ilajes).

2. The Royal Palace of Ugbo
Kingdom also released a message
warning some non-Yorubas especially the Ibo tribe of the
S/East to DESIST from spreading falsehood that Ugbos are Ibos.

This notorious attitude of some
younger generation of Ibos for twisting other ethnicities' history or spreading this false info on blogs or Wikipedia must stop. The OP is repeating the same thing on NL.

3. As an older man who is well read with a vast knowledge of historical events, I'm aware that before the year 2000 and beyond, IBO was widely used officially in the mass
media, school books, etc, and
Ibos like Achebe were okay with
it, otherwise the IBO spelling would NOT have been used in his books!

The Yorubas are the original users
of the word/spelling IGBO (or
UGBO) as can be seen from the
earliest Yoruba language dictionary of the 1800s.

It was not until after the year
2000 that "Igbo" started appearing
interchangeably in literature and
some publications to refer to the
ethnicity from the S/East. Till date, I still prefer the use of IBO because this is the spelling my generation officially grew up with and remain.
Oxford dictionary still references
the "Ibo" spelling as well.

4. The Oduduwa Dynasty is the 3rd dynasty in Ife as affirmed by Oba
Adeyeye Ogunwusi in a September 4, 2021 Saturday Punch interview
on pages 12 to 13.

The Ooni himself clearly stated on page 13 that he is the 51st Ooni in the 3rd dynasty and gave the names of the 1st and 2nd older dynasties as: Ife Odaye and Ife Oyeelagbo. These dynasties had
real kings or rulers, and the Yoruba history and people have existed for centuries in autochtonous areas outside Ife and before the rise of
Oduduwa (Odu + Iwa), just like
Igodomigodo and the rule of
the elders (Ogisos) existed in
Edo State before the Oduduwa
3rd dynasty!

5. "Orun Oba Ado Sacred Grove"
This is the sacred location in
Ile Ife where the preserved heads
of some past Obas of Benin are buried before 1900! The head burial symbolises Ile Ife as the paternal origins. The other
remains of the Obas of Benin
were symbolically interned in
Benin the maternal line from
the Oba Oranmiyan/Eweka
dynasty era.

6. Uhe is the dialect or variant of the name Ife. The people of Usen who originally have Ife ancestry with Bini influences usually greet themselves by saying in their
dialect: How is Uhe (Ife)?

So how can anybody say that
Ife (or Uhe) means "vagina?"
This OP made a ridiculous post here based on the worse form
of distortion and propaganda!

Ile Ife means this LAND IS WIDE. The Ooni, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi even emphasised this fact in a video interview when he ascended the throne in 2016.

jetroolowole:
Robert Kiyosaki’s book, Cashflow Quadrant : Rich Dad’s Guide to Financial Freedom, is an inspirational and compelling guide to breaking free from the earnings “rat race”, by moving from the “left side of the quadrant” where most people work to the “right side” and ultimately financial freedom. Published in 2000, the book is the sequel to Rich Dad Poor Dad.

https://jetroolowole.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/06/cashflow-quadrant1.png

For over a decade, Robert change the way millions of people around the world think about wealth creation and financial freedom. Besides, I think the network marketing industry should be thankful to him.

I must admit that Robert's perspective in the Cashflow Quadrant book especially on passive income is noteworthy. However, there are several concept of the book I simply do not agree with. I have narrow it down to the seven most important. The Business Quadrants Wealthflow Theory I discover open my eye to the flaw in some of these thinking and concept. Here I present to you seven reasons why Robert Kiyosaki Cashflow Quadrant is wrong.

#1 Denigration of Employee.
#2 Self-Employed Can't Achieve Financial Freedom.
#3 Denigration of Education.
#4 Attributing Traits of Fear and Perfectionism to Employees and Self-employed.
#5 Concept of Network Marketing As Passive Income Only.
#6 Investment as Passive Income.
#7 His Concept that Financial Freedom only come through investment.

I tried to follow his ideas but never had the chance to move to the big business or investment quadrant. It was the frustration that led me to search for my own path. I realized that since Robert shared his ideas, a lot have changed. My quest for the right path led me to study closely over 1000 successful business people. It was in the course of this study I discover what I called the Business Quadrants Wealthflow Theory.

You can read more about the theory by visiting http://jetroolowole.com/introduction-business-quadrants-combination-rules-multiple-streams-income/

Do you have any questions or feedback you would like to discuss on the Cashflow Quadrant or the Business Quadrants Wealthflow Theory? Please leave me your comments below as I would love to read and reply to your thoughts.

Detail discussion: http://jetroolowole.com/7-reasons-robert-kiyosaki-cashflow-quadrant-wrong/
Deep contrarian insights from
your post.

I first read a Robert Kiyosaki book in 2001 and understood the thrust
of his line of thinking though.

Being an employee or the self-employed space are noble things to do, but developing a strategy for creating multiple
streams of income is the way to
go.

Most millionaires and billionaires have a minimum of 7 streams of income from online and offline sources while providing value, and solutions to existing challenges.

Stop being desperate in things like these. Don't you know when you act so desperate with a girl, it kills all the fun in her? When a guy acts desperate, the girl will withdraw eventually.

It is better a girl tells you by herself to come see her parents before doing that. With that you know she is ever ready. This is one of the reasons that make some ladies to refuse guys proposals.

Haven't you seen where a guy is proposing to a lady in public and turns the guy down? It is because of things like these.

Don't bring up any marriage talk with a girl you are just getting to know. It will back fire especially if the lady is still within the age of 20-26. Their desperation to marry within that age bracket isn't that high. Let things play out by itself. Let her be the one asking where the relationship is leading. When are you coming to see my parents? With these, when you propose, you won't be disgraced in public by walking out of you with your proposal if you decide to propose now. That will be a big embarrassment to you, don't you think?
