Romance › Re: My Wife Is Too Stiff, Gives Me Timetable For Sex by Konquest: 3:56pm On Nov 17, 2021
wildcatter23:
With the Advent of technology, internet and exposure, it has been become quite unfortunate that ladies these days have become less submissive in their role as wives and help mates.

Ideally, women should be submissive, humble and all that but realistically this is far from the truth. What is most troubling is that at the onset of the relationship, they wear the cloak of a wolf in sheep clothing. As the relationship enters the business ends of things such as a full fledged marriage, there are certain characters carefully hided will begin to manifest.

When a lady starts her motherly obligation of child bearing, other unknown characters are pushed to the forefront. In all fairness, the change women have to make as a lady to woman to a mother is terrific. There pressures unimaginable, that only mothers can relate to. Failed expectations on the part of the man. Financial pressures, the rigors of child bearing and raising them up can be a game changer in the emotional make up of women. Worth mentioning at this point, is the changes ladies undergo while pregnant. Her preferences and urges changes. Things she likes becomes things she hates and vice versa.

Sometimes, these changes take such a Hugh toll in the life of a woman that she can go into depression. It can get better or worse.

Communication should therefore be the pillar of every relationship. Communicate, communicate and communicate. Marriage is a university, you can never master. You keep learning
Well said.

Good Nairaland I don't normally do this, bringing my family issue here but this issue is pissing me off.

Here is the story. I got married last year, and I thought I have known her enough that was why I married her. But to my surprise I started discovering that she is too stiff. She is too hard. When she says she is not doing something, that is it, she won't do it.

Sometimes if am broke, and I ask for Small amount of money, most time I want to use that money to get means for bigger money, she won't give.

She gives me time for sex. Presently am down with fever and the only thing she has ever asked me is how is your body. No what will you take or something. Am starting to think of quitting the marriage. The only issue is that she is pregnant and this is my first child.
Romance › Re: Should Sexual Intercourse Be Determined By The Wifes' Timetable? by Konquest: 3:25pm On Nov 17, 2021
drdrey7:
See ehnnn...

We need to understand 2 things on this matter.

1. Don't Seek SEX (Sexual Intercourse) With Your Wife!: She go dey run for you or she will give it you whenever she likes. It's because you don't understand how women thinks yet. You need to seek this in a different way...

Lemme help you understand better...

- The first thing is, YOU ARE MARRIED (una be husband and wife, right?). So, seeking to or having sexual intercourse with your wife is NO MORE sex!. Having this mindset (seeing SEX this way in your marriage) is your #1 problem because women DON'T just want sex...

Get this, your wife is not a prostitute or s3x toy. She's your second part (your soul mate and life partner).

So, what you need to seek from her is LOVE MAKING (the sex you wanted).

If you understand this, and you know how to lay the bed for love making (I will share that below later) -- she will give it to you fully well, you will have enough of it, and you will be well satisfied.

This is what you want, right?

To achieve this, then you need to...

2. Understand How Women Thinks: Women (your wife) will ONLY be careless to make love to you when there is privacy and security -- that's women nature.

By privacy I mean, where its cool, no disturbance or distraction...just the two of you.
By security I mean, she has this peace of mind that her home is well catered for, her marriage is stable, future is well laid and planned at, etc.

Then, in order to get the love making I talked about in the #1 above...you need to set the bed for it by...

3. Showering Her With More Love: You need to know how to speak your wife's love language. Speak more of her love language, shower her with love...

This will put her in the mood,
She will start throwing advances at you,
She will beg you for it,
She will give it to you real good.

So, stop aiming sex... because all you will be doing will be a turn off for her -- you will look unromantic and selfish to her. Her body will not respond -- she go dry well well...

The word is enough for the wise.

Lemme come and be going....see you later.

Yes I am thinking of publishing in the near future, although, I don't think I'll ever fully commercialise my craft because most of my inspiration comes from personal experiences, both mine and others, and sometimes reality can be very unexciting. When I write the world vanishes and I become the god in the world I'm creating. Alas, there's too much competing for my attention these days.

Wow, all I've written sound like excuses to my ears... perhaps they are embarassed

I will make a gun for NLNG one day. I don't know when, but one day I will. This I'm certain.

Thank you taking the time to read this story which is mine and several other ladies'. 1. Refer to people you’ve just met by their name.: People love being referred to by their name and it will establish a sense of trust and friendship right away.
Example: “Nice to meet you Ebuka. So, Ebuka how do you know Tope?” And continue to repeat name throughout the conversation.

2.Pay attention to people’s feet:Pay attention to people's feet. If you approach two people in the middle of a conversation and they only turn their hips and not their feet, they don’t want you to join in the conversation. Hips Feet don’t lie.

3.Ask people for small favors.: It trains their brain to think you like them even if you don't. And then make your way up-to asking big favors.

4. Try to sit next to an aggressor: if you do want to avoid an aggressive confrontation with someone, you just have to take a seat right next to them. The close proximity will make the aggressor less likely to have a go at you, as they will not feel comfortable with showing aggression to someone so close. I use this trick often in hot meetings. grin

Romance › Re: Ebira Ladies/people And Others Emotional Opinion - Share Your Experience by Konquest:
Maamin:
Let me share my trio-coincidence first..with what I will call mere rumors of the masses grin

It was on a rainy wednesday I walked into a barbing saloon to cut my hair after a long stressful day at school, not long that I arrived in the saloon, one of the barbers and a customer started discussing politics in their dialect which I immediately recognised to be Igala language..soon! they began talking about Governorship in Kogi state and after was, why the Ebira people have not ruled or will not rule the state even in the near future. And as usual they discussed dating with Ebira ladies which they termed to be fierce if you dare break their heart but also admitted about their astonishing beauty. On the second day being Thursday, I was in my departmental GIS lab, when I jokingly said something and my igbo friend asked others in anticipation on my state of origin..like "where am I from again?" soon as he got the answer he was hoping for that am from Kogi state an Ebira boy..the whole room flair into loud shout and we had a little argument about the Ebira people again and some guys around shared their stories about Ebira people and also about Ebira girls and why you should never mess with them. On the third day, being Friday which happens to be today August 14th, two of my lecturers and some of my few female friends which one of them happens to be an Ebira chick too got talking and one of them discovers us to be Ebira, then they started sharing their past experience and encounter with Ebira people plus how they are scared of passing through Okene town when they travel..hehehe!
This inspired me to open this thread specially to get everyone reading this to pour out their heart and experience too..lol!

But first Ebira Tao as they are called are the largest group of Ebira people. They hail from the North central part of Nigeria.

The Ebira, through oral tradition, trace their descent to Wukari (in the present Taraba state) where they were a constituent part of the Kwararafa confederation. In about 1680 AD, they (along with the Idoma and Igala) migrated out of Wukari a chieftaincy dispute and to their present location in the country today. But without delving much into the history of the Ebira people, I will like us to focus on the behavioural constituent of these so much controversial and lovely people..lol!

The name EBIRA simply means "Good Character". But I have noticed countless of time some which I could recall and some which I can barely draw back to the great misconception on behavioural characteristics of Ebira people and to some great extent criticism on their girls( i.e Ebira ladies) being too fierce in their actions in the area that got to do with the heart. Others go to the point of acknowledging them as a set of wicked and harsh set of people..Hehehe!

I have heard countless of cases from different ethnic groups as well about either their sordid/terrible or wonderful and terrific encounter with these people.

But could these be just crowd mentality and over exaggeration or perhaps! The tales told by the majority of other ethnic groups about the Ebira people are more than speculations.

However the case may be, I will like us to conduct a general research survey from the romancelanders since this will have to deal with emotional reaction and experience from one or two persons here, on why there have been numerous criticism on the Ebira's and their fierce and fearsome (F&F) way of life..could it be that there is more to this people than meet the eye?

Share your experience and what you feel about them, if you have any please! may be relationship, friendship or any interaction you've had by chance with an Ebira person in the past. smiley

Maamin
Wow factor!

The Wukari connection with the
defunct Jukun Empire. The late
Attah of Igala Michael Oboni also said 3 years ago that Igalas evolved from the fusion of migrants from Wukari (who moved along the River Benue to the River Niger
confluence) with some Yorubas
and Edos.

The first Ebiras (males and females) I had contact with back in the day were extremely brilliant in academics and they also spoke some Yoruba. I later realised from maps that Ebiras and the Yorubas of Kogi State share boundaries with one another and with Igalas. wink

The perception of Ebiras that I have is that they have very brilliant, handsome and beautiful people based on the Ebira friends I had
in the cosmopolitan schools I attended in Nigeria, and they've got corporate professionals like the delectable and well-spoken Amina Oyagbola (ex-MTN) who is Ebira and originally from Okene.

That's it!

Katsumoto:
Consumption is not the main driver of capitalism; wealth creation is the main driver of Capitalism. Germany is one of the largest economies in the world but its strength comes not from consuming itself but from others consuming its goods. While the rest of Europe that had been consuming for years started to scream about lack of funds, the Germans were safe because Germans are a saving people just like the Chinese.

The countries that will suffer the most are those without any kind of resources and those that fail to manage their resources. The issue that the US is facing is that it has always relied on internal consumption to overcome recessions in the past. But the problem with that this time is that it has outsourced most of its manufacturing and services to China and India. This is set to get worse with increased globalisation. Each corporation will pay an additional $11,000 per worker per year due to the Healthcare bill when the cost to a US corporation outsourcing to China, India, Malaysia is nil. Consequently, there are less people paying taxes, more people receiving welfare, and those with jobs worried about those jobs. Now add to the fact that the US debt is approximately $13 trillion ($54 trillion if you include debt not following due in the short term), deflationary concerns, immobility of workers due to negative equity, congress that is unlikely to agree on anything for the foreseeable future, other problems and them you start to the enormity of the problem facing the US.

The US must consume less, export more, and try to achieve a balance of trade with China to survive. Judging by the tone of your post, I can tell you that what you would like is beginning to happen. US citizens will get poorer while citizens of developing countries such as Brazil, China, Malaysia, Singapore, South Korea that have invested in education, infrastructure, solid monetary and fiscal policy, are getting richer.

Politics › Re: What Is Your Opinion On Capitalism? by Konquest: 7:18pm On Nov 13, 2021
Katsumoto:
Capitalism is required in all societies for wealth creation and innovation. It can be the antithesis of socialism and communism which sometimes encourage laziness. To see how important capitalism is, we just have to look at Russia and China. The USSR collapsed while China, which practises state capitalism, progressed after it inculcated capitalist policies promulgated by Deng Xiaoping in 1978.

Capitalism creates wealth which in turn gives rise to political power. I have to keep using China as an example because politically, it is still very much a communist country. Who would have guessed that China would have been able to outmuscle Japan in a diplomatic impasse? Two weeks ago, the Japanese released the Chinese crew that ran into Japanese vessels only because China threatened not to sell Rare Earth raw materials, which is required for Japanese industry, to Japan. A few years ago, China might have resorted to military arm twisting. A look at the G8 countries will reveal that they all practice capitalism.

Having said all that, not all societies can practice capitalism. First, they must inculcate certain policies and principles which are necessary for capitalism to thrive. Also, the government on any nation that practices capitalism must use a combination of monetary and fiscal policy to achieve wealth distribution. The government must use a combination of tax and welfare programs to attempt to strike a balance. However, this should not be too extreme, otherwise wealth creators and capitalists would simply relocate to more conducive business environments. This is all the more pertinent due to the globalisation which is very evident these days.

You will find that the tide is turning gradually. The US and most western nations, bar Germany, are in for a few years of austerity while some former third world nations such as Singapore, China, India, Vietnam,Brazil, etc are growing. This is due to the balance of trade between nations. The West had been consuming at an alarming rate before the economic crisis in 2008 while the developing nations were saving. Now the US together with other Western nations are crying out loudly. They scream about the manner in which manipulates its currency and that its citizens save too much and should start consuming so that Western economies can import less from China and export more to China, India, Brazil.

Music/Radio › Re: Funke Olayode (nigerian Celine Dion) Abused, Tormented And Homeless by Konquest: 6:41pm On Nov 13, 2021
oyinda3:
By Gbenga Aderanti
Published 24/04/2010

Funke Olayode, the African Celine Dion, was the rave of the Nigerian music scene between 2000 and 2001 after she dropped her single, To ba J’oun To Gba (If that is what it takes). She was so popular that a lot of people thought Nigeria had produced a Grammy Awards winner. Though she shone like a morning star, disasters did not allow her to consolidate. The once bubbling artiste now sleeps on the street of Ikeja, Lagos.

Seeing her in all black attire, T-shirt, pants and a pair of sandals, she portrayed the image of bereaved. Why won’t she mourn? At 36, what she has experienced would have driven some others in her shoes to commit suicide. Her father died mysteriously. Her mother who is alive is constantly tormented. She sleeps on the streets and ekes out a living from begging. She has no husband and no child. Her once bubbling career seems dead. She is despondent.

"My name is Funke Olayode, a native of Ogbomosho in Oyo State. I didn’t name myself African Celine Dion, people did. I attended Federal Government College, Ogbomosho. I’m a half baked graduate of the Creative Arts from the University of Lagos, Akoka, Lagos," she introduced herself to our reporter.

She abandoned her university education to pursue her passion – music,- her single, To ba joun to gba , enjoyed generous airplay. The track was the most preferred on the airwaves and in clubs between 2000 and 2001. Many producers jostled for her, but she eventually pitched her tent with one. Unfortunately, the romance was ephemeral as things went awry following a disagreement with one of her benefactors.

"In 2004, they gathered my file of creativity and they’d been trying to kill me or turn me to a mad person. All my friends, family and colleagues in the media and music came around me in November 2004 when I was attacked; they threatened and tormented them. They were lying to the world that I was hooked on drugs and that I was going nuts. I’ve never seen narcotics in my entire life. I’ve never seen anybody taking drugs before; but I have an idea of what it looks like from what I see in the movies. That is the truth. I was once frustrated to the point of smoking and drinking, but as for drugs, I’ve never seen it in my life."

When the torment was unbearable, she had to leave Lagos. Things would have been better if her mother was in agreement with her. But this was not to be as the woman had been intimidated into submission. The story making the rounds then was that she was hit on the head with a bottle, and ever since, she had been misbehaving. Painfully, she said, her mother also bandied about this story: "That was basically what they put in her mouth to be saying and as a result of the threat, she couldn’t say the truth. I knew I was no longer safe with her. I went to stay in my auntie’s house and unknown men, about six or seven of them, led by my mum and sister, bundled me away right in the presence of a crowd, telling them that I was sick, and that they were going to take care of me."

Miss Olayode was taken to a teaching hospital in Osogbo, Osun State. After a thorough examination, the doctor discharged her after just a week and a half stay in the hospital.

"I was discharged, nothing was wrong with me, I was only heart-broken," she said.

According to her, she has lost her dad and her uncle’s wife as part of a series of disasters. The story of her uncle is pathetic. He was the only member of her extended family that did accommodate her when other members of her family rejected her on the grounds that she was of unstable mind. But according to her, the forces that wanted her dead, attacked her uncle and took his wife away. He had to evict her from his Samuel Jinadu Street, Agege, Lagos, residence and ever since, Olayode has been living on the streets. As a precaution against the loss of another life, her mother has since relocated to their Ogbomoso home town.

Painting the picture of her uncle’s predicament, she tried not to betray her emotion, her voice and mien gave her out. "In fact, I thank my father’s brother that I came to live with in Agege. Thank God, he listened to my own part of the story. They told him that I was sick. But he said, "If you think this person is mad, let her demonstrate the madness in my house and I will know the next step to take.

"He did not know anything about the crime; he did not know there was a stronger force. The man eventually lost his wife after a year.

"After he lost his wife and some forces started tormenting his life, he called me last year and said, ‘Look, we cannot put all our eggs in a basket. I cannot continue to accomodate you. What I’m experiencing is too much for me.’ Since December 21, I’ve been homeless."

Speaking on the so-called forces, she alleged that a powerful dynasty in Nigeria and a prominent resort owner did everything to eliminate her. Explaining her encounter with the dynasty, she said her first contact was when she dropped her single and she needed to do a video. One thing led to the other, she found herself in a web. It was then they collected her passport in the hope of getting her a visa. The passport has, however, not been returned. At a point, according to her, while in their web, they made the whole world believe that she had travelled abroad. Miraculously, she escaped from their clutches, yet, they refused to stay off her, she said.

When they failed, she said, they introduced another strategy, adding that they started courting people that were close to her with the intention of getting rid of her. Funke alleged that as at today, the arrow head of the dynasty is the father of the babies of the two ladies who used to be very close to her . As a proof, she showed the reporter the picture of one of the babies. As for the resort owner, she alleged that the man stole over 100 songs from her. Though her story is like a fairy tale (one could even be tempted to think she was sick), a close interaction with her revealed that she is well and sound.

She bears no grudge against anybody. Probably, frustrations have turned her to a talkative, a behaviour she attested to. "The truth is that God has actually blessed me with a nature that doesn’t hate people. This is the reason you’re hearing my story this late. I don’t bear grudges, if these people had not disturbed my progress, I wouldn’t have bothered about anybody. They turned me to a talkative; I was not used to talking. You would only hear me singing."

While some would want the world to believe she is not well, speaking with Funke revealed the contrary. For three hours, this reporter took her up on sundry issues. She spoke about time and events accurately. In fact, it was in the process that the reporter requested her to take him to the Agege house where she was evicted. She obliged. At the street, she walked freely and even exchanged pleasantries with people. She even went to rejoice with one of her friends who had just been delivered of a baby.

this happened to her. I heard

I do hope she got help from
the obvious deep mental depression and homeless

Travel › Re: Three U.S Marines Restrained A Passenger On A Flight From Japan To Texas by Konquest: 5:45pm On Nov 13, 2021
9jvirgin:
Three US Marines stepped in to detain a passenger who allegedly made threatening comments during a flight from Japan to Texas.

Capt. Daniel Kult, Sgt. John Dietrick, and Pfc. Alexander Meinhardt were headed to Texas from Tokyo on Monday when a passenger on their flight barricaded himself inside a bathroom and began screaming, according to an online statement from the Marine Corps.

Dietrick said that even through the headphones he was wearing he could hear someone inside the bathroom who sounded "distraught."

That's when the three Marines gathered outside the restroom while a flight attendant unlocked the door, according to the release. Once it was open, the Marines restrained the passenger with flex ties.

"I knew I had to step in when he became a danger to others and himself," Meinhardt said. "I didn't think twice about helping restrain him through the rest of the flight."

After securing the passenger to a seat, the marines kept their eyes on him for the remainder of the flight.

It's unclear why the passenger was distraught.

"At this time we cannot identify the airline or comment on the disposition of the passenger, as the incident remains under investigation," Marine spokeswoman 2nd Lt. Kayla Olsen told CNN.

The flight eventually arrived at Dallas Fort Worth International Airport after initially being diverted to Los Angeles International Airport so the passenger could be transported to a local hospital for a mental evaluation, the release said.

The US Attorney's Office for the Central District of California and the FBI continue to investigate the incident, according to the release.

LOL. Secret you say? The world would’ve known him through Instablog had Social Media been popular when he was younger, the whole neighborhood knows him.

You should look up that word and find it’s meaning. Or better yet try not to assume in the future.
Bobmarie, you're being defensive in your last paragraph, and trying to wriggle your way out by telling me to look up which WORD? Huh?!... Lol.

Okay then... You know your uncle
better, and this sort of "black
sheep" situation he found himself in from a younger age (pre-Social
Media) exists in many very decent families around the world as well.

He can still bounce back to success and earn self-respect for himself and respect from others 'cos we
live in a world of "cause and effect"
and the principles of success are
universal! I'm kinda strongly drawn to his story... and if it's a drug addiction situation that's responsible, then he can be easily detoxified with medically available drugs within 2 months and he'll get back stronger to normal at any of the top Federal Neuropsychiatric facilities in Lagos or Abeokuta, with the help of the Psychoanalysts.

He can then get himself on a career
path he's passionate about to earn sustainable income in the town or city where he lives, and he can read functional books such as:
"Think and Grow Rich By Napoleon Hill" & "How To Win Friends and Influence People" By Dale Carnegie to start with.

I first read "Think and Grow Rich"
in the late 1990s and it was a well-written book that gave
foundational strategies for becoming a self-made millionaire while working in harmony with others.

I think I'm very close in my analyses of what may have happened to him. Let me know some more about the "specifics" of what happened to him. I'll see what
other customised solutions I can give him thru YOU. The fact that a man of his age made mistakes back in the day doesn't mean he can't bounce back if he is willing to!

Enjoy your day. smiley
Career › Re: How To Reward Your Team When Times Are Tough by Konquest: 12:35pm On Nov 13, 2021
BrandSpurNG:
At the end of the year – especially this year, companies and management teams usually take stock of how the company has performed. With the tough times that many businesses have been plagued with recently, many aren’t able to afford big bonuses or any monetary rewards at all.

There are, however, other ways that you can reward staff at the end of this year and even throughout next year.

Gift vouchers
If full bonuses are off the cards right now but your staff still deserve a reward, consider vouchers as a token of appreciation that can be given to employees. These can be anything from a massage to a retail store and more. Think outside the box. You could even purchase a voucher from a service like SweepSouth Connect, which will give your staff some time back too. Having a SweepStar in their home to help with household duties or maintenance on the house will take one thing off their list to worry about at the end of the day.

Treat them to a big team lunch
Team lunches or dinners are great for morale and an excellent way to reward staff at the end of the year. Use the opportunity to speak up and thank them for their hard work. But make it a special meal, don’t go to the restaurant up the road and simply order pizzas. Look for ways to make a lunch or dinner something memorable. For example, you could have a picnic somewhere or put a unique spin on the standard company lunch, with a brunch such as the Dubai-style brunch at a Radisson Blu Anchorage, Lagos. Already being Dubai-style makes it unique in that it’s hosted from 1pm to 4pm on selected Saturdays and other days of the week if you’re booking it for year-end, but it’s also unlike any other brunch. Many brunch selections are simply breakfast meals but Radisson takes it up several notches. You will have to book to experience it for yourself!

Give them a new space to work in
This one is especially for the parents who have been working from home for most of the year. If you can, gift staff with a change of scenery to kick off the year. Take a look at co-working spaces in your city and see which ones suit your company best. It doesn’t have to be everyday, of course. It could be a day a week for a month. There are lots of nice serviced office space facilities on the mainland and island in Lagos that may be considered.

Allocate extra leave days
You might not have money to give, but you can reward your staff with additional time off. And who doesn’t love extra leave days? Multinational public relations agency, Irvine Partners, recently took the decision to reward its staff with five extra leave days every year.

“Our team has worked tirelessly around the clock, across different time zones all year,” says Hayley van der Woude, MD of Irvine Partners. “It was important for us to be able to show our team that we value their hard work, while also encouraging a better work/life balance. Extra leave days was a tangible way to show this.”

Reward the best-performing team members
If you can’t afford to reward everyone, reward the best-performing members of your team. This will not only give them a hard-earned prize, but it will also incentivise the rest of the team. It could be a big reward such as a holiday package at a top hotel in the country or city. It could also be a gift shopping voucher to use especially during the Christmas holidays that is around the corner.

Romance › Re: Do You Know That Most Nigerian Girls Have 4 Boyfriends? By Arc Lala by Konquest: 11:07am On Nov 13, 2021
Writercruze:
Do you know that most Nigerian girls have 4 boyfriends? Apologies to the ladies, but it’s the reality we find ourselves when dating a Nigerian lady. According to a Nigerian Lady; Arc Lala, girls in Nigeria have four boyfriends. They will have a boo, bestie, bighead, and Shugga Daddy.

Most Nigerian Girls Have These Four Boyfriends

Bestie

Most Nigeria girls have a bestie. In fact, besties are serious distraction to relationship or marriage. Many healthy relationships have ended because of besties in the equation.

A Bestie is either a childhood friend or a high school boyfriend. Trust me, most Nigerian girls are more fond of this person than their real guy. In fact, they can share any secret with him and most times they can’t marry him. A bestie can be in a Nigerian girl’s room and she will come out of the shower naked.

When your girlfriend wants to prove to you that he can say without you for 6 months, she goes to bestie for attention and other things. Sadly, most Nigerian ladies usually cheat on their marriage or relationship with a bestie. In fact, ‘in Nigeria, bestie dey shift pant. Bestie cannot make heaven’.

Boo

Boo is the official boyfriend. He’s the one they post their pictures on social media. Usually, he’s financially balanced and takes care of little needs. Every Nigeria lady is hoping that her Boo will propose and give palm-wine to her village people.

Sometimes, Boos is the beneficiary of Shuga daddy’s generosity. Boo will make heaven…

Bighead

Bighead is the innocent guy who loves them and is ready to spend on them. Nigerian girls see this guy as ATM and will always like to tease him with some funny names like bighead and other names that will make him feel involved. But deep down he has no place in their head. In a nutshell, bighead is what Nigerian girls popularly called ‘Maga’.

But when bestie and boo disappoints, Bighead is always a last resort. The Bighead is also the one they ask to keep quiet when their phone rings and they never get to taste from the honey pot.

Interestingly, bighead never gets angry as he hopes that she might reciprocate his love someday. Surprisingly, most Nigerian girls will save bighead number as fool, idiot, mum, Gtbank, etc.

Shuga Daddy

Most girls in Abuja have a shuga daddy. He’s the one they call Zaddy. He’s their financier uncle and the real maga. He takes them for trips to Dubai and Ghana. He is the one who calls her even at midnight and she will leave you with your konji.

Whenever Zaddy calls, she must answer as he pays for house rent, DSTV sub, school fees, Christmas shopping. When she has a police case or landlord harassment, the first person she calls is her Zaddy. And whenever she is with Zaddy, her phone is either on silent or airplane mode. Trust me, Shuga daddy can never make heaven.

Guys is the volume okay?

AfroKnight:
Parts of the story have been altered cos affected parties might be nairalanders.

A while ago, I met a beautiful woman. She carry front, she carry back. Both in desirable proportions. I got her number and we got talking. We soon advanced to long calls, flirting and risqué jokes. Then she posted a boy on her WhatsApp status one day and the caption rocked me to my foundation. I asked and she confirmed that the little boy was her son. Okay.

“Where is his father?”

“He is not responsible. He is not involved in his son’s life. I take care of him alone.”

“Well, no problem”, I thought to myself. I reminded myself that it is not my dream in life to deal with the complications of raising a son who is not biologically mine, especially one whose father is still very much alive. So, I slowed down. Reduced calls until we drifted apart.

I told a female friend of mine about this and the way she looked at me ehn, I was wondering what I did wrong. She was so disappointed in me for refusing to date a single mother.

Well, I gave that friend of mine a piece of my mind. She had no right to project her concept of right or wrong or even chivalry on me! I am nobody’s saviour. I cannot pick up the responsibilities of another man who is alive and well. It is not only unfair but incredibly unjust to put a man on the spot by letting him find out you have a child after you guys have started flirting and even advanced in the talking stage of a budding relationship. I don dey feel you to the point of starting a serious relationship and I discover this? It is wrong.

And it is even more offensive that you would expect a man to just take it in stride.

Guys do not be shy to refuse if you don’t want.

Some guys are cool with it and that’s fine. If I’m not cool with it, don’t demonise me. It’s my choice.

Share your thoughts please.
To be brutally honest, most guys especially the younger ones below 35/40 would feel more comfortable getting married to single mothers
in a worse case scenario. Men would rather get married to a single mother whose ex is dead
just so as to avoid toxic drama
or the lady having an affair with
the former lover.

Most men above 35 become
more mature as they grow older and tend to be more accepting
of single mothers who have personality and bring value to the table in long-term relationships!

Even ante-natal sessions are very
important to monitor and/or prevent high-risk pregnancies.

There's enough info online and offline on relatively cheaper and faster strategies to do that. I know full well that you are aware of some of these as a young female medical doctor.

By the way, what's your area of

A nurse took to social media to narrate her encounter with a patient whose skin could not be penetrated with a needle.

She explained that several attempts to inject the patient were futile so she reported to her superior.

It was later discovered that the man had 'fortified his body' so that no metal, be it bullets or knives, can penetrate his skin.

The nurse said she never believed such things could happen until she experienced it.

Other nurses then responded, sharing similar experiences.

Okay!

At least we don't go running in the other direction looking for fimer bodies and stronger dicks. We may not even feel comfortable in our new skin and bodies to do that.

Having 4 or 5 kids is not just about the trends in post pregnancy weight loss and body firming for me. It is about the overall physical health of a woman, about preventing or reducing chances of high risk pregnancies that may come with complications or even death in extreme cases.

My friend had 2 kids (a boy and a girl) she started worrying hubby for a 3rd child. He resisted until he caved in and she took in, the pregnancy was a high risk and life threatening one.

Fortunately, mother and child survived but the only reason she kept pressuring hubby was that their family friends Ted & Lucy, had another baby (their fourth) and she just wanted one as well. Because, whenever she visited Lucy holding the baby and all made her yearn for her baby of her own. Are you seeing reasoning?

If, we had lost her nko? Or the baby came with a disability or deformity nko? When I talk I am thinking beyond post pregnancy weight loss and body forming, because I lost a relative through child birth (her first pregnancy) and she was just 29.

The more, the greater the chances of a high risk pregnancy.
Alright then, fair enough... smiley This post of yours has now delved into more specifics.

Sorry about your relative that translated during her first child birth. I can see the bigger picture
of what you're driving at here which is the high-risk pregnancies.

Incidentally there are portable
devices that can reduce high-risk
child births that I've been aware
of for over 13 years now.

So, Klass99, tell me for how many years has your former classmate in the Uni (with 5 kids) been married?

I assume she must have married pretty early to some "rich" bobo for her to have ditched her Accounting career.
Family › Re: Why Do People Improve Themselves After A Divorce But Not During The Marriage? by Konquest:
Klass99:
Why do we (women) even allow ourselves get into certain situations? What are you doing with 5 children, knowing you have very little to no support domestically? The wear and tear on your body nko, from carrying 5 pregnancies over time? Don't some women care about their physical health? About looking good and feeling good just for themselves?

My top performing classmate who graduated with a 2:1 in Accounting ended up in a similar situation. Five children later and she is divorced today, she never put that 2:1 degree to good use either, her story broke my heart.

There was a front page story where a male user said - the truth most of us don't know and men won't voice out is that, wives become unattractive to their husbands after child birth, because of the changes in their bodies. Hence the reason they look for younger women, with firmer bodies and tighter pussies, to sleep with.

The guy's post had 367 likes at the time I saw the thread/his post, I can bet you it wasn't women liking his post but his fellow men. Which means they all agreed with his view, I wasn't even put off or offended by his comment because it was a realistic, matter of fact submission. But, what I thought was - if men feel this way then why are women putting themselves through the stressful wear and tear of multiple child births? It's not like the more kids you have, the better or stronger the bond between you and hubby, sef.

These men will flee for a firmer body, forgetting it is because of their children your body has sagged in different places. Hubby hadn't even touched my classmate in 2 years at the time I was hearing her story. Me, I will just quench because touching, holding and cuddling is one of my love languages.

We need to do better for ourselves and by ourselves as women, when it comes to a lot of things.
@Klass99
I'm gonna differ with you here 'cause you're speaking in absolute terms.

Men also experience body changes
as we grow older, just like women
because of hormonal changes and
pressures of daily living. But these are minor situations if you're a fitness and health buff regardless of the gender.

Second, there's nothing wrong
with a woman having up to 4 to 5 children as long as ladies are in
tune with the current trends in
post-pregnancy weight loss and
body firming. There are many
women who have experienced
multiple births (i.e., due to giving
birth to triplets or quintuplets)
and they still look red-hot!

Don't make it look like men cannot stand by their women who have up to 5 children just because you saw 300+ likes on an NL post. Some of those likes definitely came from mainly younger folks who have NOT yet developed their power of imagination and critical thinking which lead to creative solutions in the real world.

Ciao.

you say had 367 likes. I'd like to
