Softworkconcept: Rivers State Givernor, Nyesom Wike, has called on prominent indigenes and Nigerians to stop de-marketing the state.
Speaking during the commissioning of the Port Harcourt International Airport Terminal on Thursday by President Muhammadu Buhari, Wike said that it was in the best interest of the entire South-South region, for investments to flow into Rivers State.
“I urge all of us who are from Rivers State and others from Nigeria to market Rivers State and not de-market it.
“With this people will come and invest in the state. Other airlines will also operate from this airport,” the Governor said.
Governor Wike also assured that Rivers State is safe and secure for investments, hence the execution of key projects without hitches.
“What has happened today showcases the fact that Rivers State is safe, Rivers State is secure for people to invest.
“If Rivers State is not safe, CCECC will not complete this project,” he added.
ShySteady: I must admit that the way Buhari presents himself to the public and international community sometimes is very comical/clownish.
He must be made to understand that he is leading humans, majority of whom are more intelligent than him, and not animals as portrayed by his wife, Aisha.
If he answers these questions correctly, he stands a chance of being respected, at least for once since becoming a democrat.
1. Who gives the final order to the Nigerian Military?
2. Assuming the last administration refused to produce your certificates, because they were very bad, what has stopped you since assuming the highest office in Nigeria (3 years) from demanding for them knowing its a requirement for seeking elective positions?
3. Who submits original of their credentials/documents anyway?
^^^^^ ^^^^^ You are the only one who has made some reasonable points on this thread without insults.
General Alani Akinrinade, CON in defending PMB in a edition of Sunday Punch 2015 also confirmed that ALL his credentials are with the Army and that it is the custom to SUBMIT ORIGINALS of school documents in the 1960s to the Army. PMB is NOT lying - and was stating theTRUE FACTS!
Anybody that wants to know should right to the Army and they will provide evidence.
The former Police IG, late Ibrahim Coomasie was one of PMB's classmates in secondary school.
PMB should be left alone by these half-educated people attacking him using hate speech on NL and Social Media!

Konquest: The British Broadcasting Corporation, BBC, has raised concerns over what it called the “fake news” phenomenon and the possible impacts on the 2019 general elections in Nigeria. Mr Jamie Angus, the Director of BBC World Service Group, who featured on yesterday’s edition of Channels TV programme, “Sunrise Daily," on July 1, 2018 said: desperate politicians would use the opportunity of the elections to plant and spread malicious stories. Angus noted that fake news and disinformation had constituted a huge challenge globally, particularly in Africa and Nigeria, because of people’s trust and belief in the social media.
He said fake news were being spread for economic reasons, especially on social media, where efforts were often made to attract people to pages and timeline. Angus said that more worrisome “is the spread of fake news to create and aggravate ethnic and communal clashes and tensions.” He said that there were instances when people faked the stories of BBC and other credible media organisations. “For instance, during the Kenyan elections, people put in some fake version of BBC news report and shared them on Facebook and Whatssapp for political gains. What we can do is to educate the people and appeal to them not to share news until they are sure of the source and confirm it is the truth,” he said.

kahal29: While Changi International Airport, Singapore, was named the best, Port Harcourt International Airport was named the worst international airport in the world for the year 2015.
Of the 10 worst international airports in the world, the Nigerian airport was the only African airport on the list.
In a report published by CNNMoney and released by The Guide to Sleeping in Airports – an internationally respected travel website – the other airports on the list were from Asia, Europe and the Middle East.
The survey, which had qualifying responses from 26,297 well-travelled respondents, put Cape Town International Airport, South Africa, as the best airport on the continent.
According to the survey, the Nigerian airport is riddled with unpleasant and unhelpful staff, alleged corruption, a severe lack of seating, broken air-conditioning and the fact that the arrivals hall is loacted inside a tent.
The website said the good news, however, is that “some areas of the terminal have been recently renovated, meaning you can expect actual walls, floors and windows. Though it is a far cry from reasonable, improvements are being made.”
Here are the worst and best airports in the world for 2015, according to the report:

1. Principal Staff Officers, Officers, Soldiers, members of the Press, Distinguished invited guests, I am delighted today for the occasion of commissioning of the Cyber operations Center of the Nigerian Army Cyber Warfare Command. Without the presence of APC Federal Government the approval for the constructon of the International Airport road would not have been done.
The former PDP Govt of GEJ prevented former Governor Fasola from rebuilding that disgraceful road... which was a national disgrace. Thanks to APC and Governor Akinwunmi Ambode, the 10 lane road will be ready by December 2019!
Information available shows that the Lagos-Abeokuta Expressway is also being done with heavy equipment moved to site by Julius Berger especially in the Sango/Owode/Ilogbo/Onihale axis with palliatives being done and full work will seriously begin after the heavy rains. All in 3 years of APC! PDP didn't touch that road and the Apapa Seaport road in all the years of GEJ Government.
PMB/VP Oshinbajo for 2019-2023! [Just 4 more years]. Then South East Presidency will MANIFEST IN 2023 under APC or any other party!

I was thinking of that too... a sort of whistle-blower policy to motivate people. A minimum of N1,000 per information provided on fake news Websites and blogs. A higher amount for much bigger information on terrorists and their networks!
But for me, I would pass on information for FREE on FAKE NEWS to the army and intelligence agencies because such evil news being spread via blogs and whatsapp would destroy Nigeria and lead to a large number of refugees spilling out of Nigeria.

Sannisege: Corruption: The US Senate report that finally nailed Atiku Abubakar
Former vice president Atiku Abubakar has for a long time been challenging Nigerians who accused him of being corrupt to come forward and prove it. So far nobody has come forward.
Well, has received a report on how Atiku was the subject of a probe ten years ago, by a United States Senate Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations, chaired by Senator Carl Levin.
The report detailed how Atiku Abubakar while still the vice president of Nigeria between 2000 and 2008, used offshore companies to siphon millions of dollars to his fourth wife in the United States, Jennifer Douglas.
Specifically, the report said Jennifer Douglas, an American citizen, helped her husband bring over $40 million in suspect funds into the United States through wire transfers sent by offshore corporations to U.S. bank accounts.
In 2004, the then President Bush barred Atiku and other corrupt politically exposed persons from being issued visa to the United States.
The US Senate probe was motivated by US government concern about corruption in the Third World and its corrosive effects on the development of honest government, democratic principles, and the rule of law.
“It is also blamed for distorting markets, deterring investment, deepening poverty, undermining international aid efforts, and fostering crime. Some have drawn connections between corruption, failed states, and terrorism. Corruption also continues to be a massive problem. The World Bank has estimated that $1 trillion in bribes alone exchange hands worldwide each year,” the committee noted in its bulky report.
Atiku was not the only foreign Politically Exposed Person(PEP) probed by the committee. He had company in Teodoro Nguema Obiang Mangue, now the 48-year-old son of Teodoro Nguema Obiang Mbasogo, the President of Equatorial Guinea (EG), late President of Gabon, Omar Bongo and three Angolan PEP accounts, involving an Angolan arms dealer, an Angolan government official, and a small Angolan private bank.
The committee submitted its report on 4 February 2010, three years after Atiku left office.
The report unveiled violations of US laws by Atiku and his fourth wife, Jennifer Douglas. It also included revelations about Siemens bribe paid into one of the accounts, and it possibly provided the basis for Atiku being barred from entering the United States, since then.
This Report examines how politically powerful foreign officials, their relatives, and close associates – referred to in international agreements as Politically Exposed Persons (PEPs) – have used the services of U.S. professionals and financial institutions to bring large amounts of suspect funds into the United States to advance their interests. Using four case histories, this Report shows how some PEPs have used U.S. lawyers, real estate and escrow agents, lobbyists, bankers, and even university officials, to circumvent U.S. anti-money laundering and anti- corruption safeguards. This Report also offers recommendations to stop the abuses.
Here is a summary of the report:
Atiku Case History.
From 2000 to 2008, Jennifer Douglas, a U.S. citizen and the fourth wife of Atiku Abubakar, former Vice President and former candidate for President of Nigeria, helped her husband bring over $40 million in suspect funds into the United States through wire transfers sent by offshore corporations to U.S. bank accounts.
In a 2008 civil complaint, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission alleged that Ms. Douglas received over $2 million in bribe payments in 2001 and 2002, from Siemens AG, a major German corporation.
While Ms. Douglas denies wrongdoing, Siemens has already pleaded guilty to U.S. criminal charges and settled civil charges related to bribery and told the Subcommittee that it sent the payments to one of her U.S. accounts.
In 2007, Mr. Atiku was the subject of corruption allegations in Nigeria related to the Petroleum Technology Development Fund.
Of the $40 million in suspect funds, $25 million was wire transferred by offshore corporations into more than 30 U.S. bank accounts opened by Ms. Douglas, primarily by Guernsey Trust Company Nigeria Ltd., LetsGo Ltd. Inc., and Sima Holding Ltd.
The U.S. banks maintaining those accounts were, at times, unaware of her PEP status, and they allowed multiple, large offshore wire transfers into her accounts. As each bank began to question the offshore wire transfers, Ms. Douglas indicated that all of the funds came from her husband and professed little familiarity with the offshore corporations actually sending her money.
When one bank closed her account due to the offshore wire transfers, her lawyer helped convince other banks to provide a new account. In addition, two of the offshore corporations wire transferred about $14 million over five years to American University in Washington, D.C., to pay for consulting services related to the development of a Nigerian university founded by Mr. Atiku Abubakar.
American University accepted the wire transfers without asking about the identity of the offshore corporations or the source of their funds, because under current law, the University had no legal obligation to inquire.
Executive Summary
Combating corruption is a key U.S. value and goal, due to its corrosive effects on the rule of law, economic development, and democratic principles. In 2001, the Patriot Act made the acceptance of foreign corruption proceeds a U.S. money laundering offense for the first time, and required banks to apply enhanced scrutiny to private banking accounts opened for senior foreign political figures, their relatives, and close associates. In 2003, the United States supported the United Nations Convention Against Corruption, now ratified by over 140 countries. Also in 2003, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) formed an investigative group dedicated to combating foreign corruption by PEPs. In 2004, President Bush issued Presidential Proclamation 7750 denying U.S. visas to foreign officials involved with corruption, and Congress later enacted supporting legislation. A 2009 study sponsored by the World Bank analyzed PEP controls worldwide and recommended stronger measures to reduce corruption.
The Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations (Subcommittee) initiated this investigation to learn how U.S. laws apply to PEPs utilizing the domestic financial system, and examine how foreign senior political figures, their relatives, and close associates may be circumventing or undermining anti-money laundering (AML) and PEP controls to bring funds that may be the product of foreign corruption into the United States. It is the latest in a series of Subcommittee hearings examining foreign corruption and its U.S. aiders and abettors.
During the course of its investigation, the Subcommittee staff conducted over 100 interviews, including interviews of lawyers, real estate agents, escrow agents, lobbyists, bankers, university professionals, and government officials. The Subcommittee issued over 50 subpoenas and reviewed millions of pages of documents, including bank records, correspondence, contracts, emails, property records, flight records, news articles, and court pleadings. In addition, the Subcommittee consulted with foreign officials, international organizations, financial regulators, and experts in anti-money laundering and anti-corruption efforts.
PassingShot: Not until elected governors and other officers of political parties understand that the party is superior to them, things will not improve in Nigeria.
Situation where governors, senator, reps and others elected into positions through their party become too big for the party and act as they like, dictating anything and everything that happens in the party they used to get to position is not good for the party and Nigeria.
For our democracy to thrive as we wish, party's position must be superior to individuals who make the party. It is the only way elected/appointed office holders can have a re-think and behave well.
Imagine Okorocha wanting to install his in-law as governor against other members' preference. Same with Amosun and the rest. Must governors and other party's top guys be allowed to have their ways all the time?
Even though I consider Oshiomole's style too harsh sometimes, I think he is going in the right direction mostly.
^^^^ ^^^^ Well said! But Adams Oshiomole to should improve on his EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE. All politicians NEED to go for EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE training to avoid the childish behaviour of complaining after clearly losing elections!
sapoyoro: idiagbon is not Yoruba,he is a Fulani man from ilorin.
^^^^ ^^^^ @sapoyoro
You are right!
I read Pa Olola Kasumu of the Afonja lineage in the late 1990s refering to Tunde Idiagbons heritage as that of cattle Fulani. I nearly fell off my chair when I read that because I thought he was of pure Yoruba lineage.
Tunde Idiagbon is of maternal and paternal Fulani heritage but he also has mixed Yoruba ancestry along the line and they have become Yorubanised because Ilorin is essentially of over 90% Yoruba ancestry and Yoruba language is the lingua franca of Ilorin. I would call Tunde Idiagbon a Yoruba-Fulani [or Yorubanised]. Infact the British had suggested an Oba for the Yoruba in Ilorin but it was never implemented till they left in 1960, but they increased representation for Yorubas who are the owners of Ilorin.
The British even stated in their historical documents in books and archives as confirmed by Sir Allan Burns, the Governor General of Nigeria that ILORIN IS A YORUBA TOWN and it is was [as of the 1920s] one of the top 11 most populous towns in Nigeria. 10 of the 11 towns mentioned by him as the most populous were Yoruba towns. Kano was the ONLY NON Yoruba town among the top 11 towns mentioned. This information is in the very popular "History of Nigeria by Sir Allan Burns."
Tunde Idiagbon's first son bears the name Adekunle Idiagbon as well so they are Yorubanised.
Below are images from the burial of Tunde Idiagbon in 1999.
Babatunde "Tunde" Abdulbaki Idiagbon [14 September 1943 – 24 March 1999].
Early life Idiagbon was born into the family of his father Hassan Dogo and mother Ayisatu Iyabeji Hassan Idiagbon on 14 September 1943 in Ilorin, Kwara State.[1] He attended United Primary School, Ilorin from 1950 to 1952 and Okesuna Senior Primary School, Ilorin, 1953–57. He received his secondary education at the Nigeria Military School, Zaria between 1958 and 62.
Personal life On 6 March 1970, Idiagbon married Biodun Idiagbon (née Gamra). They had two sons and three daughters together: Adekunle, Junior, Ronke, Mope and Bola.[2]
ozueozue: An American Based Media "OZY WORLD" listed Nigerian-Americans as Best Educated ethnic group in the US, below are Americans View.
^^^^ ^^^^ Nigerian-Americans are NOT an ethnic Group! Nigeria is NOT a monolithic society... but has over 250 ethnic groups or nationalities and 400 linguistic groups.
Many Nigerian ethnic groups are in America such as the Yoruba, Edo, Urhobo, Itsekiri, Ikwere, Ibo, Hausa, Berom, Fulani, Baatonu of northern Kwara [U.S-based Kperogi's ethnic group], Nupes, Igalas, Ebiras, and more!
Nigerian-Americans are BETTER CATEGORIZED as the Best Educated "Immigrant Community" or Sub-Group and NOT an ethnic group!
Even the Chinese are NOT one ethnic group.
Nigerians are NOT monolithic like the Japanese or Koreans or even Arabs who have Japanese-Americans Korean-Americans and Arab-American ethnic groups!
Nigerian-Americans would have been better categorised as a SUB-GROUP in America - i.e., "Nigerian-Americans are Best Educated SUB-GROUP in the US" and NOT "Nigerian-Americans are Best Educated ethnic group in the US."
This is what we have been waiting for. A place to report any threats to the corporate existence of Africa's most populous country! Most countries of the world have Cyber Warfare Commands/facilities.
For those who don't know, the Americans are actually monitoring every Facebook, Twitter, and other So-called social media accounts.
If you post nonsense against America on Social Media, you will be flagged down and they can prevent you from entering the U.S. based on any reckless post.
Even if you are given a visa in your country, you can be turned back at your point of entry in the U.S. It has happened to some people before that I'm very aware of... and they were even British.
One of 2 British guys posted on Twitter in a figurative manner of speaking that they were planning to "destroy America while on holiday in Hollywood [meaning they were going to "enjoy themselves"] and they were turned back by Homeland Security after landing at LAX [Los Angeles International Airport] in the United States!
PS: Yep! It made Front Page on October 23, 2018... 5th from the bottom of the attached screen shot!.
The Chief of Army Staff, Lt.-Gen Tukur Buratai, has inaugurated the Nigerian Army Cyber Warfare Command, a new corps to protect its data/network against cyber attack and curb terrorism.
He also launched an app that Nigerian citizens can download to pass information to the military authorities.
Buratai said the Cyber Operations Centre, at the army headquarters in Abuja, would also boost the army’s online presence in the fight against fake news targeted at it with counter narratives and cyber operations.
He added that “cyber warfare is the fifth domain of warfare after Land, Sea, Air and Space. Therefore, this project would not have come at a better time than now.”
Buratai, therefore, stressed the need for the army to embark on data protection and Information Warfare to curb online radicalisation, as well as other terrorist activities perpetrated on the internet.
"Buratai signs the guest book at the Cyber Warfare Command"
According to him, the intrinsic features of cyberspace can be easily exploited for information warfare by actors with malicious intent to plant and disseminate fake news and instruct paid users to spread online manipulated content.
“This is done to degrade debates with diverging truths, deceive, distract and misinform public opinion.
“This can eventually disorient and corroborate a sense of doubt among the public, or shape the opinion of a specific target audience on a certain issue.
“Hostile actors in cyberspace are also willing and capable of leveraging the variety of tools allowed by computer network operations and computational propaganda to influence public opinion to a degree that old-fashioned Psychology Operations could only dream of.
“The above statement accurately demonstrates the real threat of information warfare and the need to combat it with information knowledge.”
The army chief charged personnel of the new corps which he said was first in Africa, to equip themselves with digital forensics capabilities to be able to handle cases of identity theft and generate immediate incidence response.
He added that “furthermore, I encourage you to routinely survey the dark web/darknet and carry out analysis that may help the Nigerian army to be proactive in the cyber realm.”
Buratai noted that in recent times, the military had been inundated with several complaints regarding claims bothering on the unprofessional conducts of some of its personnel in the field.
Consequently, he said, the army took it upon itself to create an avenue for the public to submit complaints and information directly to the appropriate authority without third party interference.
He said “the avenue is an application that will allow users to relay information anonymously to the Nigerian Army.
“It enables citizens to give timely information to the army, thereby facilitating quick response.
“Additionally, crimes against the constitution perpetrated by serving personnel can be directly reported to the army, while keeping the person involved abreast with actions taken as regards a submitted complain.
“The link to the application will be publicly available on the Nigerian Army Facebook page, while the application can be assessed through our website and on apps freely available on various app stores.”
The chief of army staff added that users could submit a report, as well as attach uploads that would aid the authority in carrying out necessary actions.

TooNoisy: Choosing a VP from the South East was a great miscalculation. Peter Obi is not going to substantially increase PDP votes because the South East was going to vote PDP. Choosing Obi will at most add 250k votes to what Jonathan had the last time. Unfortunately, he will lose the South West by a wider margin than Jonathan did.
All South West Governors are APC, the VP is from the South West and the Tinubu factor will make Atiku lose. The truth is that the PDP have neglected the South West for a long time. There is no one from SW in the top echelon so it will be very difficult for Atiku to win.
PDP is now dominated by Igbos. The top leaders are now Igbos. VP candidate, Party chairman and even highest ranking member in the Senate. All these people are Igbo and we all know how Igbos play their politics. Rather than build bridges with other regions, they actually destroy bridges. Igbos will create enemies for Atiku in the other regions especially NW and SW. And we all know those two regions contribute 46% of the voting block. Once Buhari wins NW and SW, it's game over. SE don't have the numbers.
^^^^^ ^^^^^ ^^^^^ The South West will vote mainly for APC at the Federal level in 2019.
They cannot afford to lose the VP slot and get demoted to an SGF position when they have the 2nd HIGHEST voter registration after the North West! Getting the SGF slot from the so-called PDP is a GREEK GIFT from the pit of hell.
1. Oshinbajo has been the BEST VP and most dynamic that I've known in my adult life since 1979. His presence as the VP has helped the South West and other parts of Nigeria as well!
2. The PDP Federal Government seriously NEGLECTED South West Federal Roads such as the APAPA Seaport Road and the Lagos- Abeokuta Expressway, etc... and RIGHT NOW Julius Berger has deployed a lot of heavy equipment and machinery on that expressway and paliatives have started on the very bad sections of the road especially in Ogun State in the Sango/Owode/Onihale axis... and with the rains slowing down, FULLER construction will commence.
3. A railway line to connect Ekiti State is in the works and this will open up the economy of Ekiti according to the dynamic and eloquent Governor Kayode Fayemi.
4. In December 2019, the Lagos-Kano standard guage line connecting the Seaport in Apapa will be ready according to teh hardworking Minister Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi. This would reduce the number of trucks on the roads and accidents from fuel tankers, etc.
5. Governor Akinwunmi Ambode's government in Lagos will finish the new multiple lane International Airport Road in Lagos by December 2019! The PDP government of GEJ prevented former Gov. Raji Fashola from doing that Airport road, and the APC-led Federal Government made it posible by granting approval to the APC Government of Ambode to rebuild that VERY DISGRACEFUL International Airport road!
6. The PDP shamefully and irresponsibly conspired with some now-dismissed army officers to hide Buhari's ORIGINAL SCHOOL certificates that the Army usually keeps with them according to Gen. Alani Akinrinade who defended PMB in 2015 over the cerificate issue. Gen. Alani Akinrinade confirmed that indeed all army officers submited the original of their certificates in the 1960s to the Nigerian army.
When PMB finally won the election, these idiots QUICKLY brought out the ORIGINAL CERTIFICATE and said they had found it. Are these PDP guys the same people that want to take over power at the Federal level again?
These guys in PDP lied to Nigerians about PMB not having a certificate in DESPERATION to win the election of 2015. This is VERY INSULTING and they have NOT apologised to NIGERIANS FULLY for "each and every atrocities" they commited including the fake news and hate speeches in the media on NTA Network and AIT. NO way for PDP at the Federal level NOW!
It's PMB/VP Oshinbajo of APC in 2019 for the next 4 years and they will be out 2023!
Atiku Abubakar will want to spend 8 years in office and this will be counter-productive FOR THE QUICK EMERGENCE of a South East President in 2023! Atiku can't even travel to the US and get a visa because he is on a US blacklist over the corruption case involving the ex-Congressman of African-American descent from New Orleans, Louisiana Congressman William J. Jefferson who was convicted in 2009 of bribery and fraud and Jefferson was sentenced to 13 years on November 13, 2009.
"How Former US Congressman William Jefferson Was Jailed, Freed Over Bribe Saga In Nigeria Jefferson told an investor, Lori Mody, who was wearing a wire, that he would need to give Nigerian Vice President Atiku Abubakar $500,000 “as a motivating factor” to make sure they obtained contracts for iGate and Mody’s company in Nigeria."
Olu317: My ancestry claims Oranmiyan-Lajamisan-Lajodoogun. And my Oriki pin it. But you see in the ancient times, many of these descendants intermarry among themselves after a period of time. So, they are interwoven. In fact, a man who told me he is of the same ancestry of Oranmiyan with me in ILE IFE. He told me, both his parents are Oranmiyan descendants.
^^^^^ ^^^^^ @Olu317
Greetings to you... and good to see your insightful response!
Olu317, YOU have a GREAT illustrious royal ancestry/history from "The Source!"
By the way... I knew Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi as far back as 2002 when he was promoting the "Association of International Business or AIB" but I never knew he was a Prince of Ife. He used [Mister/Mr.] as his title as the Managing Director/CEO of Grand Imperio Group. I nearly fell off my chair in 2015 when I saw him becoming the 51st Ooni of Ife Enitan Adeyeye Ogunwusi, Ojaja 11 [2015-date].
He [Adeyeye Ogunwusi] was born on October 17, 1974 and just turned 44 on the 17th of October 2018, never made a big noise about his royal ancestry as a Prince.
"Personal life" He was born at exactly 13.00GMT on 17 October 1974 to the family of Oluropo and Wuraola Ogunwusi of the Giesi Royal House, Agbedegbede Compound in the city of Ile-Ife. His birth was predicted years before he was conceived. Hence, he was named Enitan by his mother while his grandfather named him Adeyeye, which means ‘the crown befits the throne.[5] The Oba is the fifth child in a family of seven.
He was involved in previous relationships. Notable among them is Adebukola Bombata, whom he married in 2008, Olori Wuraola Zaynab Otiti, his second wife (2016-2017), and Omolara Olatubosun, with whom he has his only daughter and with whom he is a co-parent. The daughter's name is Princess Adeola Aanuolouwapo Ogunwusi (born in May, 1994). He married Prophetess & Evangelist Morenike Naomi in 2018.[6]
"Yoruba and Benin Kingdom: Ile Ife The Final Resting Place of History" By Kunle I. Sowunmi
"It is often said that it is a taboo to bury a king in exile. Ile Ife from all indications and by having the heads of all the late kings of Benin and that of Oranmiyan himself buried at Ile Ife to this writer is the source of Edos and Yoruba and this fact must not be distorted with sentiments."

OEPHIUS: With the reported return of the leader of IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu, some questions arise like if he will still preach hatred and still continue his disdain for Yorubas and Hausa/Fulanis.
The video below is just one example where he said Igbos should not attend Yoruba churches or churches headed by Yorubas.
AutoReportNG: Nigeria is a unique country in all ramifications, a country blessed with many natural resources in terms of smart and intelligent people that excel in their chosen career.
According to Emeka Okoye who is part of the convener and a tech enthusiast, a village school in Akwa in Anambra State has broken the norm to emerge as one of the most gifted sets of kids ever seen. The school was said to be located in a typical village with no access to internet, computers, and electricity, they have made some amazing and interesting discovery, part of a village school innovation that has never heard "STEM" or "JETS" are:
1. Electricity Generator powered by water 2.Waste Digester 3.Torch from potatoes. 4. Rocket Launcher
The generator generates 610 watts of electricity and it has been tested for about 5 hours, the most amazing thing about this generator is that it is powered by water, a discovery that none has ever discovered ever in the world. The digester breaks waste including plastics into different useful and valuable components that can be used by for other things, they also make locally made batteries from discarded Dettol bottles. Each cell generates more than 3 watts of electricity. These are some of their works that are showcase for the exhibition.
1. A generator that runs on pure water generates and generates 610watts of power.
This generator generates 610 watts of electricity and it has been tested for about 5 hours also this generator runs on pure water and generates 610watts of power.
According to Mr. Okoye, the kids have never heard about the fourth industrial revolution. They have never even heard about the first one that says a lot about them, they definitely need to be groomed and catch young.
^^^^^^ ^^^^^^ Innovation/Disruptive Technologies are very good... but I have a quick observation to make!
Many of these inventions being replicated by some school kids lately in Nigeriaand aided by their so-called teachers can be found on YouTube.
Generating electricity from water has been in EXISTENSE for decades and the US Navy has even generated electricity from seawater.
It is NOT RIGHT TAKE CREDIT for inventions that are already in the public domain.
This is how another group of secondary pupils in an elitist school in Lagos claimed to have "first" invented a generator from urine. But commenters on YouTube "busted" the story FROM Nigeria and showed that the invention is decades old and first done by a white guy.
It is good to locally replicate technologies by school kids but NOT to take credit for FIRST INVENTING THEM. This amounts to a FRAUD!
Lajamisan — Lajodoogun — Ogboru + .....brought forth Giesi. Then Ademilokoun came through Ojee Lokunbinrin (Female). See olodo, some people thought, because, Giesi was crafted as Descendants, it meant his direct father... Even at it, despite, the shrewd information, Luusi was still a pinned son of one Ooni... Who is your father's ancestors before Giesi?Post his jaaare. After all, I had mentioned that someone's father's brother is also one's father. .....So Giesi is the direct father of Agbedegbede? Does this one know the gap of years between Giesi, and Debooye, who happened to be a female (Lokunbinrin)and Agbedegbede?. Infact Giesi was a maternal grandson of Ogboru.
^^^^ ^^^^ Great pictorial representation! Very informative.
