justwise:The letter didn’t claim to issue visa waiver to the doctors. It says NES will issue visa waiver LETTER and they have been in discussions with the Uk immigration according to the letter. ....but then NES or not, we are witnessing a large influx of Nigeria trained medical professionals. This has been going on for years now. The good news is that, these group of people work in some of the major adult and paediatric trauma centres...straight from Nigeria and they are doing really well hence why the recruitment agencies always come back for more Nigerians. Universities Teaching Hospitals Oxford and Cambridge (Addenbrookes’s) employed up to 8 Nigerian radiographers in the past two years and some doctors as well and more are coming. Nhs hospitals in London will welcome a few more people once the lockdown is relaxed and international flights resume. |
murphyibiam15:I’m surprised at the negative comments and the childishness of some of posts. NES healthcare is an authentic organisation. I know two doctors who graduated from Ibadan and ESUT who work with the NHS through them after successfully passing their PLABS. This is a good time to work with the NHS if you are a doctor or Radiographer. If you are any of above, avail yourself of the endless opportunities and don’t listen to pessimists. |
Golan007:Why are you being petty and rude? Being in the Uk doesn’t mean you are conversant with every single immigrant procedure or some adjustments as shown from the attached document...except you want to tell nairalanders to disregard it. |
obailala:I didn’t believe the reports from that story. How can a group of more than 50 well educated men...doctors for that matter, attempt to travel to the UK within this period of pandemic without visas?? Tell me another story. |
Roban Stores has dominated eastern states, Roban started in Enugu opposite All Saints Church in GRA with the usual 2×2 shop, now Roban has expanded to 6 mega stores they owned not rented, across Southeast
His story is amazing. It should be an inspiration to everyone going into business. I remember as a child going to Polo Park, Roban stores sat by the fence of IMT opposite All saints. You’ll have to walk down some stairs to get into the shop. It was small but bursting with goods. The owner knew his business and the right things that attract his customers. Few years later, I was hearing of the same Roban stores along Bisalla road near Pine Crest school. God bless his hustles. Lots of people would see his achievement without knowing how humble his beginning was. My disappointment has been about Eastern shop near Nnamdi Azikiwe and later Tonson supermarket at Chime Ave. Eastern shop by now should be like Sainsbury’s or Waitrose. |
Stewart883:Don’t be limited by your own myopic mind. A player at Plateau United on a N180,000 a month living in a nice flat would even doubt that a Bukayo Saka would be earning N15m a week. I do t want to mention Ighalo cos such a player would punch, scream and call you a liar. If you’ve got talent, educated with at least a bachelors in relevant jobs, you should leave Nigeria if you secure a good job abroad...by that I mean the Uk, USA, Canada and Australia....yes you’ll pay tax and rent bla bla bla...but your life will never remain the same as it was in Nigeria with the power outages, bribery and police extortions while driving on the roads etc. A friend who was earning less than N2m per annum in Lagos is now working and earning about £28,000 a year with opportunities to develop and make his life better. |
There was no revelation here. Where is the evidence that the VP received finances from Magu. Jackson Ude should be careful. |
Bellotelli:They don’t feel...They own Nigeria. That’s the reality. From the Dons to the Capos. These men own Nigeria. The IBBs, Abubakars, Danbanzus, Objs, Danjumas...then the semi dons like the El Rufais, Kwankwasos, Sheriffs, Dangotes, Tinubus etc |
nairavsdollars:‘Wise’ men exist in Nigeria. These group of people keep the order and also are responsible for upsetting that order and whatever tranquility that is present to either make one or two statements or to distract the gullible populace from any trending issue capable of embarrassing their members and the structure that they created. Name it, there hands are heavily soiled and dipped in every evil and afflictions stunting Nigeria...boko haram, banditry, elections and politics, oil blocks, importations, real estates especially in Abuja, which region gets what etc Imagine the explanation. Houses in Tunga were numbered haphazardly!! I bet they were built and arranged haphazardly as well...but the EFCC or ‘Magu boy’s’ GPS device despite such disorganisation took them exactly to the guest house belonging to Abdulsalami Abubakar!...If there weren’t meant to be at Abubakar’s guest house, where were they meant to be? There should be some good movie about power plays in Nigeria. I’m just imagining how scared Magu might’ve felt after he picked the silver bearded man’s call asking him to tell his puppies to leave his premises or... I don’t want to comment on TY. These men are gods. Anyone thinking Nigeria will get better with them around is just delusional...sadly, when they are gone, another set of Capos will take their places. |
naptu2:You are a rare gem Oga Naptu. I wish you good health and lots of God’s Favour. You always dig up goodies from the past. Lots of people might not have been around when those entertainments trended but we all learn and educate ourselves about our beautiful and nostalgic past. Thank you my good man. |
7) Amebo (played by Ibidun Alison). She is the village gossip and bar owner. Chief Eleyinmi often called her "Radio Oja". She is usually well intentioned, but she's not well educated and she often stumbles on information that she doesn't quite misinterpretes it and spreads her misinterpreted story all over the village. This often leads to crisis and confusion. ![]() |
Elxandre:He has been a logistician with the Royal Navy and has been living in Plymouth. When did he leave the Royal Navy to join the US Navy? This is Fasuba training in Wales 8 years ago with the Royal Navy.

hollah123:The thread is about protest in Abuja against Tinubu. Focus on the protest, the organisers and the message. Leave Igbo out of it. |
Mightyhaiz:Who will punish him? Rochas was a calamity to Imo, South East and Nigeria. His greed is second to none and his cluelessness is out of this world. Look at what a man did to his people. Even the top of a sewage has thicker and better construction. Then again, look at that so called tunnel, does a tunnel really need to be there?? There was no need to construct a tunnel there and destroying that mess might have just saved lots of lives. Imagine the top of that mesh of substandard rods/wires with its thin coating of concrete caving in on cars and people. |
Enemyofpeace:Be careful with gambling bro. You’d lose that bet over and over and you’d wake up to find out that your prick has lost its power and can’t salute anymore. Lots of people would’ve read the whole story. |
Imagine this colossal rubbish and insult to our people. The Chinkos should be sent parking right now....after paying millions of compensation in dollars to the affected villagers. This nonsense and rubbish must stop in our land......NOW! God bless Nigeria.
The Chinkos are not the problem. The problems are their Nigerian agents, government officials and the security agents that aid them when they assault our lands and endanger the health and lives of our people. Apart from this, take a look at the mining and excavation sites and see the horrors that they create there. The lands are exposed and made vulnerable to erosions. |
Simplyleo:You are just on the edge but you don’t know it. The only difference between you and those mentally ill people at the markets and streets is that you could type and post nonsense online. When you are not shouting Tinubu, you are obsessed with Igbos. Keep trolling. |
Nice one Mr El Rufai....I think his son should have one of his testes taken out before he commits that act against umu ada...the second one should be removed when he finally commits it. |
Enugu Rangers is my team. I started supporting them since I was 6 and I’ll support them till the end of time. Kanu Nwankwo brought me to Arsenal, outside of Coal city, I support Arsenal because of Papillo, Henry, Vieira and the likes of blundering Gallas. |
Authoreety:It’s the girl’s opinion and how she sees the world. I didn’t think that the op should worry too much about that or feel too sensitive about this. That’s why they are dating, he has all the opportunity in the world to know what’s best for him and if both of them could live together as couple. If he feels offended by what the girl friend suggested or the thoughts that comes out of her, maybe this is a handwriting on the wall signalling him to move on with his life. I think that the girl was being thoughtful and worrying about the guy’ mum being lonely and all by herself. Could be the way she’s being orientated. I’d feel slighted too but I wouldn’t feel paranoid about that. It’s being 5 years since the woman lost her husband. In most of our cultures and tradition...depending on what part of the country that you are from, women remarrying is frowned upon and almost a taboo but it’s not the same with women. The mum’s response might be due her upbringing, beliefs or her enduring love and respect for the man that she has lost. Maybe she wouldn’t feel the same for any other man or even think about it. As for the op or most of the people criticising the girl, would they say the same thing if it was the other way round? Would the op feel slighted if the girl friend had asked him to advice the dad to remarry if the dad was still alive? For the op as well, would he think of remarrying and getting a new wife if God forbid it he lost his wife abs stayed alone for 5 years? Let’s be honest. |
EVILFOREST:That’s an epidemic bro. Lots of politicians, businessmen, company executives, people in senior management positions and lots of Nigerians are like that. Don’t underestimate what carbs and ‘swallow’ foods will do to the body. Most people see it as healthy! Nigerians need to exercise more, eat responsibly...when I look at such people with fat and Michelin necks and tummy, I see diabetes, cardiovascular diseases etc. People like Uba would drive to the NASS in air conditioned car, sit for hours in the chamber, walk to his car, be driven back home where he would chill, drink some good wine, food, sleep and snore and the cycle continues. People would look at his size, hail him to death and give him all sorts of fancy nicknames. Oke afa na egbu nwa nkita. I hope he see this comment and act on it. |
I was seething with rage after seeing and reading the thread title but on seeing the name of the lady and reading why she was representing Ondo state, I felt so disappointed with Yoruba people. This is not limited to the people writing petition against this woman. This is characteristic of Yoruba people. They can be primitively and senselessly tribalistic. Olukemi Olufunto Adegoke married Hamish Badenoch, they have been married for 8 years. Today she is Tory member and the MP representing Saffron Walden. She was well accepted by everyone. Even without her marriage, she might’ve still won the seat. Kemi wasn’t representing rough and poor Hackney or Peckham where there are lots of Yoruba people, she’s presenting Saffron Walden which is one of the wealthiest parts of the UK. No one has crucified her yet despite her many ramblings and blunders but here is a Nigerian woman happily married to an Ondo state Yoruba man and hateful people won’t let her be. When Dr Kingsley Obiora’s name came up as the new replacement for Dr Okwu Nnanna, everyone kept quiet. No one criticised the appointment. Dr Obiora is from Delta state, the position he was to occupy and is occupying today was supposed to be filled by someone from the South East. Heaven did not fall. Yoruba people, pls leave Mrs Akinkugbe alone. |
Alexaonfleek:What part of the boxers do you think would be best for it? The pod is slipped in the back of the vest and the elastic vest hugs it close to the skin. Imagine the boxers made with the same material as the vest with the pod inside it tight to the groin and thighs |
FeliciaOja:They are not bra rather vest that holds GPS device that tracks and measures a footballer’s performance. They are made that way so they can fit close to the skin unlike your normal vests. Close contact with the body/skin is important. |
Uniport should save these photos. They’d be useful when they do their social media war. |
joviegghead:You can leave a relationship, divorce your wife, move to a new city but you DO NOT dump your football or any other sports team. It doesn’t happen that way. Football support isn’t only for when a team is doing well. There are lots of FAKE people with the ‘my team, our team, we will play in the champions league’ slogan. What this clown of a girl is doing is like a Super Eagles supporter dumping Nigeria to support Lions of Cameroon or Black stars of Ghana. That is not football support and anyone doing that is as fake as they come. Football support is a life time thing. Your football team is your family. I support Enugu Rangers and come rain, come shine. I am an Enugu Rangers supporter. After Enugu Rangers and outside Nigeria, I support Arsenal Fc... A true Enugu football lover would support Rangers just like a true Ibadan fan would support IICC or 3SC football club. It doesn’t matter their predicament. Football support for your team is for life. Those who are jumping from Everton today to Liverpool or from Man United to Man City do not know history and only doing so to ‘belong’. An original Jos man would never leave Plateau United to support BCC lions of Makurdi. |
