No ma'am. My apologies for the confusion. .Our paperwork was approved and he was still in malaysia. This came out of nowhere of him leaving. That was when the confusion started with me ( but no longer confused now). I couldn't understand why all of a sudden he left. Then again I can remember a couple of months ago in June I expressed restless nights with myself like something wasn't right. He told me it was the devil and we needed to pray it out.at first I felt confused and embarrassed Now that I think about it I thank God because maybe it was a warning for me .

Just an update..He sent me a yahoo message and said he mistakenly impregnated an indoneisan woman. He said he was so so sorry and was too ashamed to tell me.
What's pitiful because he didn't have to change his number and never talk to me. All that we been through and he does this? It's like he has now opened up old wounds...but at least I got closure. Good evening all...I have enjoyed this site for a number of years now. I was mostly interested in the cheating nigerian men forums. I often thought I can't believe that because I was involved in a beautiful relationship. Started just about 6 yrs ago. I was a little hesitate at first but soon warmed up to it. Moving forward I visited him twice completed our paperwork for fiance visa after several times. Well this year it finally got approved and was waiting for him to get his paperwork. He told me he was having to go to another state due to his visa being blocked. He said he would leave on Thursday and will call me once he return. I didn't hear from him so I immediately started to pray and ask God to please be with him on this journey. I thought the worst like he got put in jail or something. .I tried to call him but the line rung and rung then said service not available.
Puzzled I went online went to his friends facebook page and there it was...my soon to be fiance being budded farewell and safe journey and congratulations all over the page. I noticed in the pics he was carrying a cell phone and was on it. My heart broke. I sent his friend a message asking him to plz help me understand this ...He immediately deleted the pics and nvr replied. I even seen where my fiance had a Facebook profile and people were congratulating him there. I sent him a message and he didn't reply....Am devastated . Ever since my university days, I had always been a fan of blackberry. What I recently found out about my beloved blackberry surprised me and has since left a bitter taste in my mouth.

I have recently applied for a host of jobs, getting invited for tests in some and never getting an invite in some. In my quest to know why I haven't been invited to write some tests, I started seeing a pattern.

Anytime I apply to jobs using recruitment portals such as taleo, I always get shortlisted. Anytime I apply for a job by sending my CV to a mail address, I never get an invite for a test.

I decided to do a little experiment. I opened a yahoo mail account and sent a mail from my BlackBerry HUB to the yahoo mail and it ended up in spam. I tried the same using mail addresses of people I had never exchanged mails with and all the mails ended up in their spam folder.

The problem I later got to find out is a bug that comes with BB10 devices. Using the blackberry HUB to send mails will most likely end your mail in the junk folder.

I decided to open this thread to enlighten other job seekers who unknowingly have been victims of their own phone.

Well I have been sending mails and cvs for atleast 2/3 years with my Q10 and I got responses. I just sent a test mail now and it delivered so your analysis is wrong.... You need to dig deeper into the issue. Do you know how many companies use BB10 for corporate stuff?

Next step in your test, try a non-BB phone and see if it's delivered

Hello Everyone

Let me start by saying this is not an opportunity to judge or criticize my decisions or lack of it there of. I would also try to be as open and forthcoming as possible regarding all information to help you offer any opinions either from personal experience of inferred ideas.

I already have a direction am inclined to lean towards but its not set in stone and am very much open to ideas from others (I actually welcome it as i like to be thorough and get all the information i can have before making decisions)

I was recently offered a position in Nigeria due to start in a month at the latest however i am currently rounding off a research program in the united states (6 months to finish). The prospective employer will not defer the position till i finish in 6 months time. I had interviews with the vice president of the company when i was in Nigeria last year and a couple of other interviews but i guess due to the instability of the economy (elections and all), the offer never materialized till now. i consider the offer a place to start and while I cant be specific about the exact figure here, its upwards of 250k/month after Tax.

Before you make your decisions based on the offer or my current academic situation, here is a little about me. I have a BSc (Nigeria), MSc (Uk) and MEng (USA).... All in engineering (so i wont consider the figure impressive however its not an entry position and that is my basic pay so there are other benefits). i have paid work experience in the Uk and US and took up an unpaid work experience in an Oil & gas servicing company in Nigeria for about 6 months. needless to say i am well educated but without enough experience in my chosen field and this offer hopes to fill that void.

if you also want to ask why am i not eager to come back to Nigeria? the economy seems fairly unstable now, Iran deal is sure to devastate the oil sector further and destabilize the Nigerian economy even more for those that understand the vicissitudes of the Iran deal. I do have access to getting residency papers in the USA which will coincide with the time i finish my research or a few months after without doing anything shady or sinister (most of my family are here anyway). I am also fully aware that with or without papers, jobs are not automatic any where but you will agree with me that its a little easier abroad than in Nigeria. a good example is the current offer i am considering where i still needed an introduction to setup the interviews and even though i did all the grunt work, i wont have even gotten in the door without knowing someone. The company as a matter of policy does not even advertise positions.

A little about the company: international company with huge investment portfolio in the millions of dollars, where its based should not be important but its on the island. cant reveal more than that about the company.

My assumption is that you're 6 months away from getting a PhD and your prospective employer won't wait.... For this reason, I suggest you stay here and finish what you started before starting work. Imagine if you come and (God forbid) they lay you off soon after.... Finish that degree, remember oil companies are laying off over here in the US, Nigeria won't be different. So get that better bargaining chip

All in all, I see this as unnecessary cheap blackmail that will not fly.

Sane Nigerians are already grateful to God for giving us Buhari as we have witnessed tremendous improvements in service delivery of all government agencies. This is largely brought about by the body language of the incorruptible General.

The ardent critics (including PDP) of the amiable president even attest to the fact that PMB stands head and shoulder above all in terms of integrity and sincerity. It's not uncommon to now read PDP saying "APC is no different from PDP if not for Buhari". To us, that is huge difference.

GEJ is nothing but a failure.
