Catch is she's in Europe and she is done with school there since like 3 years ago. We communicate on a norms like once a week, I don't see how that's a problem. Can you snub your sibling who's not even demanding for like 3 months?

I have a stepsister living abroad, the daughter of my mom. She's been there since childhood, raised by her father, and has become independent.

Despite the physical distance, she has been supportive, particularly to my mom. Although she occasionally sends money to my mom, it's never quite enough for her.

I share a unique bond with her; we've always been close, even during her visit. The last time she sent me money was during my 100 level when things were tough. However, my focus shifted from financial help to maintaining a connection with her.

Recently, I noticed a change. Since July, she has been snubbing my messages, a puzzling behavior considering I don't seek financial assistance. I've made it a point to check on her regularly, something she mentioned our mom doesn't do. At my level now if she needs money I can even send for her but her recent attitude has totally changed my mind towards her. I'm contemplating blocking her and ending contact, as it seems that's what she wants.

It's a challenging situation, and I'm curious if anyone here has experienced anything similar.

How do you produce doctors,nurses, engineers ,accountants e.t.c that saves lives,build bridges,hospitals e.t.c if education that provides the skills and knowledge is a scam?

Skills are good but they are limited, no amount of skill would create this modern world we are without education.
Mind you, Skill is also a form of Education.

If a Mason likes mix 5000bags of cement without a civil engineer to design, calculate and supervise the construction of a building or bridge the work of the Mason is useless.

Am an advocate of having both Education and skills, i have both.
but you telling me that education is scam, shows you lack much experience of how the world operates.
Mind you there are thousands and millions with skills that are unemployed,mason, carpenters, mechanics, pipeline welders, fitters, riggers,Safety professionals, scaffolders, e.t.c.

Having skill does not mean ,you would become employed or rich.

A bad economy is a bad economy, it does no one good, weather educated or not.

I understand u bro. The chances are better over there but it’s not as easy as many make it seem.
The whole point is not to allow desperation lead one to selling their valuables here with the belief that it is rosy over there.
I know of someone who sold their family lands in the village to travel to Canada in 2018. His family is still here in Nigeria, facing hardship because he isn’t yet settled over there.

Let’s be guided and allow prepared people to travel with the correct information because even beggars exist abroad.

Authorities in Kenya have detained Brian Mwenda, a fake lawyer who has won 26 cases while posing as an Advocate of the high court of Kenya.

Before his arrest, the attorney handled 26 cases before High Court Judges, Magistrates, and Court of Appeal Judges, all of which he won, Kenyan entertainment news website Mpasho reported.

Due to false pretenses, the Law Society of Kenya Nairobi Branch Rapid Action Team (RAT) detained him.

When the RAT received complaints from the general population, he was captured.

He does not have a license to practice law in Kenya, according to LSK Nairobi Branch on their X account, and neither does he claim to be an advocate.

The notification stated, in part, that “the man has been presenting and conducting himself as an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya and a member of LSK Nairobi Branch,” which had come to the knowledge of the LSK Nairobi Branch through the Rapid Action Team (RAT).

He is being detained in the RAT’s main office while an investigation is ongoing.
