Loss my FOOT!

After increasing the prices of all their products, most especially the bournvita chocolate tea, a carton of the small sachet of bournvita chocolate tea was #23500 as at February(as at the last time I bought it),I'm sure it's not less than #24k+ as we speak ,let alone other products.

They have doubled the price of all their goods,so they should stop crying for loss.

Exactly my thoughts I don't believe this news one bit.
Loss kor loss no.
All those big companies producing in Nigeria rarely experience loss except in the case of a disaster because as raw materials and cost of production increases so does their market price. They should go and sit down, this news is a lie. They only want to cheat their investors and share holders.

Family / Re: Advise, My Father Sold His House And Moved To The Village Now He Wants To Leave by kurlz(f): 7:56pm On Jan 26
AtoningBlood:
I need your input people.

3 years ago, my dad sold our house without informing anyone of us. Meanwhile, we all had things left at home, including my mum's items. He never told us where some of those things are till date.

He sold that house and went to the village, he immediately started having issues with the village people. Fight today, fight tomorrow. Everyone in the village I heard now disrespect him due to how he reveal his secrets to anyone who cares to listen.

My dad wants to leave the village to go rent an apartment in another state. His financial responsibility has been on me alone. My siblings abandoned him.

He's being nursing the idea of leaving the village and never informed me. Last november I spent almost 2 million naira fixing solar power and inverter for him in his house at the village and immediately after that he started saying he wants to leave the village..

I told my dad never to relocate to the village yet, that he should wait till his is older as he is still agile and all his friends are in the state where we lived or around. He also gets contracts once in a while so I don't bear much financial burden. But no, he failed to listen and sold our house and left.

My dad wants me to cough out another 1M to rent a house, he wants it big, 3 bedroom. I told him to look for a 2 bedroom but he said where would visitors stay.

I am not even comfortable seeing him in a rented apartment, what would my cousins say, they would mock us. I have some of them who are very naughty. He is bringing shame in us.

We have two properties and my husband wants him to come and stay in one, I vehemently disagreed because he will be controlling us, some of my extended family members will come visiting him and carry the news to the village, as well as discussing my own family and I don't want that. They contributed to what is happening to him now. Through him, some of them will come to stay and I can not start what I can't continue with. So I told my husband to dead that idea fast.

He wants to leave the village latest by February. How do I convince him to get a 2 bedroom flat? 3 bedroom would mean 3 mattresses, and everything triple. My dad doesn't like anything less. All the expenses will be on me alone. My siblings don't care.

I can't turn deaf ears to his needs. I don't want him in the village and I hate to see him in a rented apartment but that is what it is now.

I need contructive advice especially those of us with retired parents, how do you relate with their needs? I told him to think of a small trade so he won't be idle like he's been since retirement and he is talking about setting up electrical pole business, I laughed. Sebi he wan rek me. Same way he did not manage hid wealth.

Madam tell him you don't have.money, see I tell you now take it or leave it, now that you have small money invest it for yourself and kids, everyday is not Christmas. He should remain in the village. Don't say I didn't warn you.
He's a waster and an inconsiderate person. Take it or leave it. Apart from upkeep, don't give him anything unnecessary.

ZACHIE:
Hard o.
It is hard to dabble into matters with half information. We all don't know the details. So, I will not be quick to rain hailstones on the husband.

But, if the woman being a nurse is anything to consider, if her being in the UK before her husband joining her is another thing to consider and if the husband being an Ondo man is yet another angle to the story, one thing is sure: the woman must have been flexing power and authority to the man with a few extramarital affairs in the bag.
You see these UK nurses like to put it in your face soon as they assume control.
Maybe, maybe not .
Who knows.
Sha, the man's life is effectively over. The kids are in for a trying time.
It is a winless situation. Anger solves nothing.

So killing her is the solution?
Why can't he simply leave her, you can not be a Nigerian man and be a western man all the same. You have to choose one especially in that part of the world. That's not Nigeria where you will want 💯 percentage contribution from the woman, take full responsibility of house running yet you will want to be Lord at the same time. Some will even be home all day yet they won't lift a finger but expect a woman who is the sole proprietor to still come home do all shore cook and serve like a slave. No! That can't work in that part of the work. And when the woman refuses to accept the marriage to be the slavery mentality the men were groom that it should be the woman will not know peace. It's high time Nigerian men think.

Back then when we were younger.
one guy was trying to fight me but my yoruba friends were telling him in yoruba language to beat me up that I show myself toooo much.
I used that annoyance beat the fool till I was stomping on his face and that was when my "friends" started telling me it was enough. But I didn't listen because I knew they wanted the guy to stand up. They didn't know I heard everything.

I was out chilling with my friends then next thing wasn't feeling myself anymore. I managed to walk out of the gathering but couldn't get far. I was battling with my life and semi-unconscious. I could see everything happening around me but I couldn't talk or move. It was poison. I vomitted everything except my intestines. I survived it but none of those friends checked on me for 2 years and they were shocked the day they saw me again like they seen a ghost. Such nice friends.

Abi make I talk about the one wey been dey chat with my babe back then? He was chatting her up and telling her to leave me to be with him while acting like he was concerned about how she was acting bitchy to me. I showed him the chats one day and all the apologies started. Na that part dey sweet pass.

Let's not talk about the wonderful friends that will search for your business clients number and talk negative about you.

Just accept the fact that not everyone is lucky with friends and pls stay away from friends. You were lucky. Thank God for that.

You are calling a closet enemy a friend?

I pity you, bro.

He gets a hard-on from reading about and knowing that he's doing better than you economically and material-wise and all the respect and worship you've been according to him will become a thing of the past.

Most of them hate competition and always revel in the reality of being the ones at the center of all attention.

Even if you are 50 and able to move to the U.S., get serious, work legitimately for the next 5-7 years, and call it a wrap, you will have successfully settled your downlines and created a wonderful retirement plan for yourself with proper planning.

Move, if you can, and with the right plans and connect.

It is good to skill up, but if you ain't got it, you ain't got it and it isn't the beginning and end of life.

There are a ton of zero-skilled jobs where you can make the equivalent of what you currently earn in a month in Nigeria in just a single day..yeah, you heard me right, in a dayyyyy.

*Edited*

For those quoting me to say what they know nothing about or just getting pissed that I might be encouraging people to come compete with them, I no blame una, it is the usual hoarding of information by Nigerians because they want to be the only ones making it and revered in their locality.

In the U.S., every other nationality are united and supportive of themselves with information and intelligence sharing to prosper together. But Nigerians? Neverrrr. Dem go dey buga dey talk from nose...

Come see Haitians, Moroccans, Kenyans, Hispanics, all having agencies and supporting their people with jobs to survive....

I met a Nigerian grandmother who came here for omugwo. We got talking. Grandma was like, "my pikin, why e be say those our people wey don tey here dey always lie to us" I say "mama, I no know oh".

Mama was like "you no see my new car for outside there, na me dey make $6-7k per month like this depending on how many hours I work. I dey softly dey build apartments for Benin to use for shortlet.."

Family / Re: Am I Being Unreasonable Or Is My Wife Selfish? by kurlz(f): 6:34am On Sep 18, 2023
Porksupplyib:

Well, it won't always happen that way. If what he is saying about his wife is true, she may not be willing to quit even when the career is tough.

Well until she's left to try she may keep complaining of not being allowed to work, but when she tries and faces a lot of pressure, and before she returns the man has collected everything and taken over his company she will learn the hard way. Some people can never be content no matter what so leave them to bear the brunt.

EkelediliBuhari:
Let’s agree this is my story….

Pardon my long write up but I needed to get a perspective from a fresh eye/mind. I’m married for 3 years now with 2infants.

Am I overthinking or does my wife have other plans?

My dad is an established accountant with over 3 decades of experience at the highest level of his occupation in 2 multinationals. He is now retired and consults. Presently, he lives a day at a times cos he barely has plans for his firm (he is over 70 and doesn’t have anybody he’s training his my mom).

I have a good career earning almost a million monthly with side gigs that keeps me liquid (meeting all my family’s basic needs). Monthly upkeep of 200k mainly for feeding while I pay utilities and still bring out cash (no fixed amount) from time to time. Presently am setting up a firm for contracting and consultancy.

My wife is a caterer (she loves cooking and baking) whom I have supported over the years. She has gotten much better and I have invested in her business. Presently she has all the basic requirements for her work and she works from home. We live in a 4 bed and converted one to her studio (fully furnished - AC tables shelves etc).

Over the years I have encouraged her to focus on entrepreneurship. This will give her total control of her time. This way the kids get her attention while she handles business which I hope to one day retire into. I make sure she doesn’t contribute her personal funds to the home as I advise her to save for rain days. I have encouraged her to work closely with my dad to earn experience as they share same profession hopefully take over the firm in time while I groom mine for which she is the major shareholder (I’m not even a shareholder).

Overall, do not look for a 9-5 like me, let’s grow a business.

However, she applies for jobs here and there. Just this morning she woke up as early as 4:30am applying for a customer service position and had to wake me up to correct her cover note.

At this point I feel like giving up on her. I feel she just wants to have a paying Job for whatever reason. But I know know the downsides; no time for the kids, 40-80% of income goes on expenses, work stress, regrets - now you can’t quit because you have to prove you can do it.

Am I being unreasonable telling her not to work and focus on developing her business skills?

NB: I have never discouraged her in her business rather encouraged/ advised and funded.

Modified: for those insisting I let her be, how do we plan our future if we share separate visions?? When has working ever made anyone rich??

If she gets an IOC opportunity I’ll definitely support tho, but these are not the toes she’s applying for 100k -300k

Don't stress yourself, let her learn from experience, they don't tell a child not to put hand in fire when the fire burns the child he will learn, so leave her to work she will start complaining and quit by herself because she may not be able to meet up with time, stress, shores, kids care, pressure....... And may not be able to condole how she will be treated when working under someone. You are even stressing it too much let her work under someone and learn by her self, it's just for a little while.

It is better to stay single. But a person that tries to mary and fails to even have a long-lasting courtship is not better than Churchill. Hasn't Tonto been trying to remarry? Slow and steady is not the best. But it is better than trying so hard without moving at all.

See hen may we not enter wrong marriage o. I know what I'm saying, their are people out there crying and wish they were single. It's not funny o.

Too bad, if true. But he is still doing better than Tonto. At least, he lawfully married and spent years before divorcing, unlike Tonto who could not even date for long talk more of making it to marriage.

My comment is not a judgement on who between him and Tonto has the worst character. My comment is that his case is not as shameful or ridiculous as that of Tonto. I say this since bloggers cannot report the news without including the name of Tonto in the news. Also, one commenter above is already trying to use this Churchill's rumoured case to exonerate Tonto.

That is his third marriage sir. So what are you saying?
Is it not better to be single than being divorced 3times?

This is what we have tried in our house o. Infact any feed goes self starter or finisher. We rared rabbits for years, it was a family thing and in large quantity.

Anyways what did google say?

Thanks for sharing. Which type dobu use? Broilers starter or finisher.

Starter. Then later finisher. With just small quantity and water they are okay. And it makes their infants grow so rapidly that you will be so surprised.

The best so far has been feed. As in chicken feeds, it works like magic, gives them rapid growth and prevents incessant urine. Tried and trusted. Besides they only consume little quantity so this saves you a lot of stress, you won't have to be entering forest every time all in the quest of finding your rabbits food.
