joshrooy23: Somto Hospital Currently Being Destroyed In Douglas Owerri Imo State
Does the name Somto ring a bell in your ear or have you heard the name from somewhere else before, yes the truth is that somto was a young child who lost his life during the regime of former governor of imo state Mr Rochas Anayo Okoroacha who at that time ordered the demolition of the popular Eke ukwu known as douglas market. Somto lost his life when a stray bullet from the trigger happy men of the Nigeria armed forces who decided to go on a shooting spree to despatch off the traders who where adamant to vacate the popular douglas main market....
Somto lost his life at a young age and his dreams where also cut short. Imo state governor Anayo Okoroacha decided to build a hospital on his name to honor him but 2 years after the hospital has been built, the new governor has decided to bring it down.
Now my question to imolite is this, is the main market the main need of imo citizens. They should have transformed it if the feel that the hospital is not needed.

The Federal High Court in Abuja, on Wednesday, rejected the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission’s request to issue a warrant of arrest against a former Minister of Petroleum Resources, Mrs Diezani Alison-Madueke, who is believed to be residing in the United Kingdom.
Justice Ijeoma Ojukwu rejected the EFCC’s request for an arrest warrant citing the commission’s failure to enforce the earlier criminal summons which the court issued on the former minister as far back as July 24, 2020.
The commission had in requesting for the criminal summons in July claimed that it was required to facilitate the ex-minister’s extradition to Nigeria.
Faced with the failure of the ex-minister to honour the summons on Wednesday, the EFCC, through its lawyer, Mr Farouk Abdullah, urged Justice Ojukwu to issue a warrant of arrest against her
Ruling on the request by EFCC, Justice Ojukwu rejected it as she noted that the criminal summons which the court issued on Diezani in the ruling of July 24, 2019, ought to be sufficient for the commission to process her extradition to Nigeria to face her trial.
The judge who expressed willingness to give the extradition bid a chance to survive, however, demanded an affidavit with evidence from the Office of the Attorney-General of the Federation (the office with exclusive power to facilitate extradition), to prove that there was a need for the arrest warrant to have Diezani extradited.
She ruled, “It is my view that the summons should have assisted in the extradition of the defendant by the Office of the AGF.
“Today, the defendant is not in court and no reason was given.
“I am being informed that the defendant is believed to be in the United Kingdom.
“The learned counsel also informed the court that the extradition process has failed as a result of the absence of the warrant of arrest
But if that is the case, learned counsel shall file an affidavit to that effect supported by evidence from the Office of the Attorney General of the Federation. “I hereby give you time to put your house in order.”
The judge adjourned till December 3 for report and possible arraignment of the defendant.
The EFCC had alleged that Diezani escaped from the country shortly after her tenure as the Minister of Petroleum Resources end and got wind of the plan to charge her with various offences.
The commission on November 11, 2018, filed the 13 counts of money laundering to justify the bid to have her extradited to Nigeria.
Diezani was accused of among others in the charges that she unlawfully took into her possession, the sums of $39.7m and N3.32bn when she reasonably ought to have known that the money formed part of the proceeds of unlawful activities.
She was said to have purchased choice landed assets with the money using different fronts as the owners.d Street, Yaba, Lagos, with N937m

As much as I fear the outcome of the jail brakes. They're still some innocent people there for years without trials, most of our politicians have committed more heinous crimes but walks free.
southniyikaye: I don't support jungle justice or the treatment these policemen are receiving but atleast now they know how it feels to be intimidated or rattled
"Hoodlums have hijacked the protest from us." You said protest is the right of every Nigerian. Hoodlums are Nigerians too. They are protesting the way they know how. Who are "us" you're referring to? Did you define yourselves or those eligible to join the protest? Was it not you calling everybody to join the struggle? Sowore even called the police to join them in the revolution. Hoodlums, who are also Nigerians with grievances now joined, and you said they hijacked it. What is hijack? Did they stop you from doing your own protest? Did they redefine what you want or change the 5 abi 17 points agenda? Part of your own agenda is to release your own fellow protesters arrested. Part of their own agenda is to release their friends that were in prison since (they also thought they were wrongly imprisoned, or no be only them be thieves). You had no leader, fixed group or coordination, and you called everybody to join you. Hoodlums now joined you, and you said they hijacked it from you.
Please stop the joke.
Let's even assume they've seized control of your own protest, you cannot take back control from ordinary hoodlums, and you want to take control of Nigeria from Buhari and the army? Are you dreaming?

TMSMedia: Chacha Eke Blasts Her Brother, And Other Celebrities For Meddling In Her Marriage (Video)
Chacha Eke-Faani has blasted her brother Aik Eke, Georgina Onuoha, and Victoria Inyama spreading false information about her marriage, IgbereTV reports.
Chacha, who had earlier said her marriage with her husband was over released a follow-up video attempting to clear her husband's name who many thought had physically abused her. Victoria Inyama believed she was simply trying to cover up for him and released a post stating that domestic abuse will make any woman doubt her sanity.
In a new video posted to YouTube, Chacha made it known to Georgina Onuoha and Victoria Inyama that she is fine and they have no reason to keep worrying about her.
She also slammed her brother, IK Eke after he released series of posts saying his sister is not bipolar and is simply trying to cover up for an abusive husband.
Chacha told her brother to stop spreading falsehood. She accused him of "putting fire where there's none and creating doubt."
She stated that she hasn't seen her brother in almost 2 years.
"The last time I saw him was on May 12, 2019," she said.
She added that for years, even before marrying her husband, there had been an "age-long strain" between her and her family members and her brother is simply trying to cause problems now. She asked him to stop it because it's not "cute".
She went on to narrate what happened on the day she released the viral video that gave Nigerians cause for concern. She said she had not taken her bipolar drugs for 3 days and was rather flushing them down the toilet.
She added that when her husband mentioned it to her, she got angry, called him out and raced to a bank to withdraw money and then to a call service centre to retrieve an old phone line she had destroyed herself.
Her brother reacted to her video by promising to stay out of her business.
He wrote on his Instagram Stories: "I believe those that said I should fight for my sister will chill now? You can't save who does not want to be saved!
"You haven't seen me for 2 years wow! When next drama pops up I'll sit with the audience and enjoy the view. Enjoy the bipolar."
Georgina Onuoha reacted, writing: "My darling Chacha .. it’s good to hear from you and to know you are holding up well. What a relief it is. Yes I was worried to death for you after seeing your initial post.
"As one who managed a psychiatric hospital.. I saw so many signs of stress and trauma/fear. Be that as it may, it gladdens my heart to hear directly from you and to know all is well.
"Victoria Inyama and I were worried for your wellbeing and safety. Reaching out was born out of love for you and the distress call you posted previously. Take good care of you, please get enough rest as much as you can. I wish you nothing but a speedy recovery. Cheers."
Below is a video of Chacha addressing her brother, Georgina Onuoha and Victoria Inyama.
modsfucker: Apparently, the protest is becoming a nuisance, as crisis profiteers are gradually taking it over.
I'm quite sure that if the protest lingers, the Military will be fully deployed, and a mild curfew would be enforced. Also some people would be used as scapegoats.
