Let me give you another poser! Having another god does not and cannot be grouped as bowing down to another god. You can have gods without necessarily having a physical representations for them. Hence, the clear separation of the first command. It clearly antagonizes you setting up a god different from Yahweh in your mind like we Protestants serve God with our spirits without any physical structures erected.

The second refers to the physical structures/images like you have in the catholic church and states that you should not construct them to serve them or bow down to them. Of course, they could not have erected a structure for the fun of it without wanting to serve it back then. So, you should not have separated points 2 and 3 as serving different commands. They are one and only one in my humble opinion.

Here is how it is listed in the Bible. I will account according to the points.

If we are to really count the you shall or points, it will amount to more than ten.

Catholics hold numbers 1-3 to be one commandment and number 11 and 12 to be separate.
Protestants hold number 1-3 to be separate and hold number 11 and 12 to be the same.
Jews hold the preface "I am the Lord your God" to be one commandment and numbers 1-3 to be one commandment.

So you see they are the same commandment, but counted differently. The Catholic church did not overlook the commandment you speak of Cgift, it is counted as the first commandment, just as the Jews. Remember the Jews had it before us and the Catholics had it before you. I would go with that of the Jews and Catholic church. Nonetheless, it is still there.

I just had one this february. February 10th to be exact.

I was driving on an interstate making 60 mph. While driving, on my side was an 18 wheeler trailer, apparently the trailer thought it was small enough to fit n between me and the person in front of me. It came into my lane and hit me. Next thing I know, I lost control of my car and it started spinning. Withing seconds I found myself upside down in my car. I closed my eyes when it was spinning and made the mistake of opening it only to see that my car was flipping over on the passenger side.

The car skidded and the stopped moving. I felt myself to make sure I could move, and then I crawled out of the broken window. Luckily no other cars were hit by me and no one ran into me as Atlanta drivers are speed drivers.

Jesus sent them out to proclaim the news.

6 Then they set out and went from village to village proclaiming the good news and curing diseases everywhere.

There are different ways to proclaiming. Ofcourse here it is evident that they used word of mouth, but writing it down will not be out of line. Writing it down made it easier for the news to be carried around. You truly have to know why it is these books were written and you have to know who these books address.
The Gospels were written by the apostles and or those who were with them. They testified to the works and words of Jesus. Included in these are the Acts of the Apostles and it does what the title says, it shows the actions and words of the apostles. Christ showed them the way to the Lord and they in their actions and words brought people to turn from their evil ways and turn to the Lord. The New Testament Letters were written by Paul as he spread the word to the Gentiles to show them the way to God's kingdom. These letters testify to how a christian is to live his/her life pleasing to God. It shows the different scenarios happening in the early church and Paul tells them how to handle situations and live their life pleasing to God. Some of those letters were written specifically to particular churches, but if you read them, you will see that the same issues were happening all over thee churches and that Paul is consistent in his letters (they tend to be redundant).
And then you have the book of revelation which gives account of the end of days.

Did you forget that he was speaking to the Jews and that the covenant was given to the Jews through Abraham and not Noah. Yes he could very much say that and he probably did. John let us know that there were more things that Jesus said and did, but were not penned down, but enough was penned down so that we may believe.
If you are asking this question are you insinuating that he was before Abraham but not before Noah? He could have clearly said before Adam, but Abraham was enough to show his eternal presence.

The above verse came right before 30, and in verse 29 Jesus says the Father is greater than ALL, this obviously includes Jesus since he is not the Father.

Jesus also made clear statements that he was sent by God so he couldnt be God himself.
If you are saying that Jesus is God just because he said that Father is in him and he is in the father (he and father are one), what of the verse below:

17v 20-22: "That the ALL may be made ONE. Like thou Father art in me, I in thee, that they may be ONE in us. I in them, they in me, that they may be perfect in ONE".

In this verse, the same word ONE used, the Greek, HEN is used, not only to describe Jesus and the Father but to describe Jesus, the Father and eleven of the twelve disciples of Jesus. So here if that implies equality, we have a unique case of 13 Gods.

This is why you need the spirit to understand.

I'm sorry dear, this does not speak on the sacrifice but the covenant of circumcision. In this chapter God also told Abraham that Sarah was to give birth to Isaac.

In Genesis 21, God sends Ishmael and his mother away, as Sarah demanded.
In Genesis 22, God tests Abraham by asking him to sacrifice his son.

Just for you to know, the Priests live their life as the apostles did. They are not to be of this world but are to pack their bags and do the will of God. They're to live their life at the mercy of others. Yes they are homeless and wherever they are directed by the Spirit they are to go.

There is nothing wrong with your pastors that marry. There are people who serve in the Catholic Church that are married, but the Church is asking that its Priests abstain so as to not be concerned with the world or with pleasing a woman or anyone else, but to be completely devoted to the Lord, both in body and in spirit.

If I choose today that I want to be concerned only for God and devote my entire body and soul to him without reserve for any man, there is nothing wrong with that. The Priests and Nuns choose to do so and there is nothing wrong with that. Those who fall short, do so because of the weak spirit not because they cannot marry. Pastors too fall because of the weak spirit not because they were married.

I'm sorry but Lady's question is not thought provoking but is as old as 2000yrs. Even Christ had 12 disciples and 1 was a devil. How much more mere pastors who are but flesh and blood like you and me.
Apostle Paul said - Romans 7:18 For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwelleth no good thing: for to will is present with me; but how to perform that which is good I find not.
19 For the good that I would I do not: but the evil which I would not, that I do.
20 Now if I do that I would not, it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me.

Pastors are humans too and prone to fall into error.

It is alright for the Pastors to do it and then say that I am only human. Na which planet wey Priest come from then?

Look at the hypocrisy.

I suppose that city of sin and heresy knew more than Apostle Paul who said this - 1 Corinthians 7:9 But if they cannot contain, let them marry: for it is better to marry than to burn.

So the Pastors wey don marry, how dem go control the burn? Make dem marry again?

Listened attentively to the Pope's statement regarding the crisis that has wrecked the Catholic church for the past couple of years. While I empathise with him, I honestly believe in my heart of hearts that celibacy has failed and this problem will therefore continue to be synonymous with that religion, My 2cents,

So why are Pastors committing the same sin? Especially the married ones.
