r u looking for an excuse not to pay bride price? |
If I were to combine my name to my possible future husband's, the documents won't even allow it. It will be running over. Too long. |
Lurker, the sagging of the pants thing comes from imitating the way prisoners dress. Prisoners are not allowed to own belts so they have an excuse, why people outside feel the need to do the same is beyond meNot just that, but the prisoners wear their pants low for easy access (homosexual), if you know what I mean ![]() Now why they want to imitate that I don't know. |
SeanT21 you should really try cold stone. My friends and I nicknamed it the devil. It is soooo addictive. When we try to eat right, it won't let us. |
Matured advice there. Nairalanders who claim to base in America and Europe tend to think that it's their birthright to be there. I can bet that a good number of them did very bad and ugly things to get abroad. And a very good number of them will be deported due to their unwholesome attitudes. Apart from making it abroad easily, basic amenities, which every sane man desire in life are readily and efficiently available. I would prefer to own 100 dollars in America or Europe to having 100,000 naira here in Nigeria. This is were crime rate is very low. The weather condition is very friendly. Water flows freely. Light is constant. Political leaders are commited to giving quality services to the electorates. A land where people work like ant but eat like elephants. And many more.Who wouldn't want to go abroad! I believe in my country. Nigeria is endowed with alot of opportunities, BUT if I have my way, I will travel out of this country. It's not always bed of roses, but it's not also always regretableLMAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LMAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1 LMAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! OGA WHICH MOVIES HAVE U BEEN WATCHING? Oya u all should stay there looking for ways to obodo oyibo I will look for ways to invest in Naija, abeg all the dividends can freely flow into my pocket. Don't open ya eye and shine it well and see that there are a lot of opportunitues there. Ok here's a tip from me to you: if you can't find a job, employ yourself. Soon you'll be employing others. Yeah I know the infrastructure is not there, well which infrastructure are those who own their own companies using? Or are they in a different Nigeria? LOL. |
What I would like to know is about a 16 years old Benin City girl who died on Sunday. I was told that anyone her senior is not allowed to attend the funeral, does anyone know if this is true or false pleaseYes this is true. It is bini custom. |
Thanks everyone for your prayers. It's always comforting to know that no matter where I go, I will always have brothers and sisters in Christ, even on the web .I truly believe that there is power in numbers. I guess I should go to bed, but am not ready. |
It is both. Those verses are clear. But still what difference should it make? If it isn't scriptural does it mean we should abandon culture too (which is what some christians do that make me upset) The scripture was not to move you away completely from your culture. Besides when it was written it wasn't exposed to our ancestors and I'm sure they used to flog the living daylight out of the children then. The children should be flogged, but not to death o. No talk say ~Lady~ send you o. Correct them not kill them abi. |
Thanks so much guys I really appreciate it. Hail Mary, full of grace the Lord is with you, blessed are you amongst women and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death. Amen Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit. As it was in the beginning is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen. May the Lord be with you all |
well then maybe i should correct myself and say for those who are working and schooling,i realli respect them but i will not do it simply to be disciplined and responsible, neither do i have a point to prove to my parents,i realli commend you for doing that and im sure you r prolly better for it but if you check my last reply i show my own sense of responsibility in a diffrent way and on these freezing winter days/nights ill rather go to the library from lectures and home than putting myself through some employment,im not knocking people working neither am i coming across as snug just something i can't do because i feel like i realli don't need to as i can engage my mind in something else and its too stressful for me, i v got at the most 3 years left and then going back to work in nigeriaHaha, you're worried about cold. Na oly Uk cold dey? lol I understand where you're coming from. But seriously lad going to the library cannot be compared to that of work. Those who work don't they go to the library too. Infact they have less time to spare. My day begins at 6am and ends at 3am. I go to school full-time, I have two jobs, one full-time, and one part-time. I don't go to the library. I have all the resources I need, except in cases where I have to meet up with teammates from classes. Fine if you don't want to work at least get involved in organisations to gain leadership experience, trust me you will learn to work with people well and eventually learn to manage others. That's a skill your dad will be grateful for. It's one thing to learn from a book, it's another to learn from experience. |
HAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA THIS IS TOO SURREAL. Please say this is a joke But if not, make sure your heels hit the back of your head as you run hard and fast. |
When you got married were the words "for better or WORSE" mentioned and did you say "I do" to them? If he was laughing all the way to the bank, you would be with him, won't you? It's not about you, it's about the family. You didn't go bankrupt, the family did. If it was the other way around it would be the family going bankrupt right, not just your husband? |
Well the woman in me will carry pepper and put in the girl's vagina and send her outside naked (o let it not be daylight where the hot sun will burn her vagina, if it's nighttime, I will hold alighted candle under her vagina so that it can cook the pepper well) I will then walk away from my husband, but the next day, I will act like nothing is wrong, when he gets in the shower I will take ororo and pour everywhere on the bathroom floor and take off my belt. When he gets out he will slip and fall and that's where the beating will begin. *Ever seen or heard a grown man cry?* He will cry like a baby that day. But the Christian in me, will send her packing and me and my husband will have some serious talks, then he will have a lot of making up to do, if we can work it out. If he tells me that I will leave if I make the girl leave, I won't argue, I will make the girl leave and then leave myself. I will leave with my children (if any) and all the kobo he has at that time and in the future. He will be paying me for life. |
Pamperme Thanks for that. Can u post it daily if it's possible, thanks. I would like you all to please join me in praying for my mother as she undergoes an operation. Please pray for the doctors and nurses whose care she will be in. Please pray for peace of mind for her because she's afraid. Please pray for a speedy recovery. Thank you. |
What great lie? Tell me who said Jesus is white? Rubbish. Let me ask you a question. But first let me point out to you that Christianity existed in Africa before the white man came. Let's assume that everything in history took place but now the roles of the whites and the blacks are switched, so that the blacks invaded the white man's land and brough about christianity (or so it seems), and the whites were the ones forced to adopt christianity (or so it seems). Let's also take into consideration that the world was not as close then as it is now, where most have seen the other races around the globe. Seeing that the black man had not discovered the white man's land and don't know that they existed let alone know what they looked like. Considering that the Bible says that we are created in God's image, wouldn't that mean that when I want to picture him, I'll picture him looking like me? So would the black man picture Jesus as white or black? And when they 'invade' the white man's land and teach them about Jesus, won't that be the picture they show them? Let's take into consideration a very important contributing factor that Jesus is God. READY? SET? OYA ANSWER!!!!! One more thing Jesus was neither white nor black. He was Jewish and they had a very very very very light brown skin. But if we're to look at the Jews today, he would look close to white. So get over your hatred for the white man. Hating doesn't look good on you (just assuming you look good). |
No. It's because they're CatholicsWho gave you the twisted idea that all Latinos are Catholics or that they believe in fornication? People need to stop speaking out of their asses. |
why would my dad shake his head because i havnt worked,i am above 20 years and i just don't see the point in putting myself through these kind of works if i don't need to,GOD knows that i feel for all the people on here and their experiences and it has made me appreciate the kind of opportunity i have, and im sure if many people on here had all they tution feeding and everything sorted and got allowances they will not put themselves through the work they v done as well,i don't shove it in people's faces just making my own contributions, and my father can't shake his head because i will do some regular work with him or somewhere else when i move back to nigeria in2/3 years.its the same thing abi.Well I didn't exactly have to work, but I wanted to be more disciplined and learn responsibility. When my mum saw I could take care of myself she stopped sending me money, but now she tries to give me money and I refuse sometimes (I accept because she told me I'm being disrespectful when I refuse )It also gives me experience. |
wel 4Play such a stance is more popular with Catholics since they think it's normal to have 14 childrenhowever, the article mentioned EVANGELICALS. |
i was a cashier at winn-dixie, a grocery store. |
the catholic in me says yay, but the sociologist in me says WHAT ? THIS IS NOT THE WAY.Parents need to raise their children. Yes the government should protect the citizens, but we've passed this stage already o. |
tombo, hehehe fresh bailey's irish creme |
@Teriba I beg to differ, not all men are dogs. @Topic I would advise her not to go back to her ex. She has found someone who accepts her as she is, flaws and all, she should thank God and pray with him for their relationship. As for the children, she can get them back. She doesn't need to worry about raising the children in a stable family environment with her ex because that itself may not be stable. There's no stability in a home when mummy and daddy don't care for each other. We have this mentality that if you're with the father of your children then the family will be stable. What kind of an example is she setting for her daughters? That it's okay if they fall in love with the wrong guy as long as they stick it out? No. She needs to stay away from her exa and try to get her girls back. More than likely the man doesn't want the children, he's only using them as a leverage. |
Sister , i beg to disagree ooo ! I don do research well well and all what i can see is A DRUG AIDED thing !Yeah so I was bluffing, but it did get you to think twice about what you were saying, didn't it? Look leave that bush mentality behind abeg. |
no one should force u to give offerings. That's why it's offerings. As for the loud speaker, well chuck it up to bad engineering. |

I am so hungry right now and I want anything Naija. I'm not so lucky to live at home where I can cook. Can't wait for this semester to be over. |
