Family › Re: Most Fathers Today Are Losing Relevance In The Family by Ladycewhy(f): 6:17am On Jul 21, 2020 |
Ellasure: children of today become father and mothers tomorrow. if you say ur father was not relevant today your children will say the same about you. remember talking about others is easy and cheap. can you ask the question our Lord Jesus Christ asked his disciples, what do people say about me?
very important question. maybe you think you are a small boy or girl today, u are not small anymore because your mind is telling you that there is something u need to learn from you father but you have not learn it. it is your fault.
now, the way you learn from a woman is in the kitchen and corners of the house. from a man you have to be more deliberate and create your opportunity. during such created times you ask him tactically all questions bothering your mind and wait for him to answer. another challenge you face is your father will weight the question before answer to determine your mindset and usefulness of an answer.
men in the family as father don't easily open up to the kids unless they have examined you for trust and seriousness to life issues. with patience and consistent tactical probing he will open to you if you desire it. don't antagonize him with your lack of patience and improper approach.
men are not woman for a lot of reasons.
one law in life, a child that fail to cultivate the father stands to lose good knowledge of his family background and the family problems and successess. when your father sees in you a worthy friend your relationship is enhanced and reward could be immence. fight him you ruin your future. don't fail the bolded is a big lie, we will only make effort not be like dead beat fathers ,who's only achievement in life is to donate sperm. It's called breaking the circle. |

Chimpretty: @op to be a man its not easy with modern day expectations from the society , a man is expected to provide and care for his family and even in many cases extended families and friends . Also if you have noticed men are getting involved in the welfare of their children unlike before. with regards to the bolded ,men from time have always done this, why are modern day men acting as if it just starting being a thing a century ago? Stop whining, even now modern women now share from the financial burden. Men of old had bigger responsibility but didn't whine and complain like these modern men ,na wah for una o. |

Another thread to measure penis with vagina.
It's probably only Nigerian men that whine and complain like this , so we should ask ourselves what Nigerian men are doing wrong.
Grow a womb boys and stop whining. |

Fhowe: to me it is more of a Nigerian thingy the average Nigerian is hardened . When you see top government officials occupying good offices perpetrating fraud (most of them do not even need this money they steal cause they are way above average) what do you now expect from a street kid that has no education or job ? you won't be saying this of your aged parent of even sibling has fallen for fraudsters before. Maybe it should get to your turn then we will see if your tune will be the same. |

I took part in the last census I was surprised at the level of poverty in this country . you just succeeded in making excuses for them, even though you said you were not making excuses, how sway .If you Nigerians were Zimbabweans una for dey litterally roast each chop and then blame it on poverty. |

Mkndahi: Age 10 maybe. Dad only whipped me once. But my mum, oh Lord, she had a whip hidden in the house. And she used it like 2-3 times a year. Thats probably because mum was always around to witness your misbehavior. She knows how many times a day you do shitty things that needs correcting. |

I was in primary school ,I chop better cane that day and that was the last time.
There is a stage to correct a child with flogging ,I personally think after 14 years flogging a child is just assualt and torture. If you do your job well from when a child is born till they are 14, you will not need to raise your hand to correct them.
If you try to straighten dried fish ,it will only break. You can only decide which direction to fold it to when it's still straight and has not touched fire.
The average Nigerian has been traumatized from childhood with beating , no wonder we have no idea what empathy or affection means. |

There is a stage to mould the character and morals of a child.
" Fish wey bend you don dry am ,if you force am to straighten am ,e go break".
18 years is too late the age to build morals and mould a child. |

Babanlagenius: She was more emotionally attached to me. As in she used to call me more than I did. She didn't sleep without talking to me and more often than not she would ask me to send her voice notes on WhatsApp even after our convno before going to bed. I felt the love within and without. She showed me so much love and made me to have extra focus in live because she was in full support of everything I was doing.
She saved money from work to buy me gifts. She was down to earth. She always give guys my number when they asked for hers. I was only bothered that she was 26years and just maybe the pressure of getting married was there. I sensed her mood swings expecially on Saturdays. I left her way back in 2019 because I couldn't secure a job for myself and needed to give her a better life by giving some other guy a chance to get married to her quickly.
Speaking of beauty, she is the most beautiful lady I have ever dated. As a matter of fact the first thing I asked her on our first date was
DON'T YOU THINK YOU ARE TOO MUCH FOR ME?
Now that I am stable to an extent all I could think of is this lady. I just don't know how she managed to forget about me. I'm even afraid of contacting her cause I don't want to hear that someone else is presently digging that hole and probably about to get married as well. After breaking the heart of good women una karma go push una go meet Jezebel una go come here dey shout women are this and that. |

Good people are hard to come by , humane people who can lend a helping hand without expecting anything in return are rare , not even marriage can make me let go of such people.
Most men are insecure because they know themselves so well and want to project their indiscipline to their wives. |

kastgeraldino: Same thing I thought. Most apprenticeships last for 7 years. His brother is definitely using him. He ought to have been settled. I was thinking same, seems the op's brother is wicked towards his sibling as well. What kind of a brother will not want to settle his own long after such a long time. That's wickedness. If he doesn't want to settle the op yet why not atleast get him his own place for the sake of peace. The bulk of this problem rests on the table of the op's brother. |

Some guys fall prey to this, and it gets so bad that these bitçhes will be dragging these guys' tv remote with them in the guys' house.
If you respect your hard earned money and properties (food stuffs) it acquired, don't waste them on a leech. Keep your keys with you, and do as I have directed. If the woman was the one with the condition, is the man free to abandon her without being called wicked? men that gladly abandon their healthy wives and children for side chicks in Nigeria , na this one go hard them to do? |

Two years is a long time to be taking care of an invalid man ,the Nigerian men I know will never do that if roles were reversed ,to add to it ,his family members are unconcerned.
Now I will always tell people ,if you want out, be out for good , if she is tired of the marriage ,let her divorce him. The whole idea of getting a so called concubine while still married is what I will never support. She either stays or leave. It's better she divorces him than compounding his agony by cheating right under his nose.
And lastly she should never feel guilty for leaving,I know many people will say she is wicked bla bla bla, but the same poeple will still come and say " marriage is not by force " in another situation.
The burden of taking care of a bedridden adult nor be beans ,it's hard work that can take a toll on ones mental , emotional, physical and even financial health. If she feels after two years she can't continue ,then she should divorce him , return his bride price and vamoose . No time to check time. |
