I won't take a sledge-hammer to webmasters in Nigeria. some are good at some things and bad at other aspects. but then,it is a jungle and you must be a jack of all trades and master of none really.

We have webmasters - they know basic HTML code and can do a "decent" webpage to go with a website that needs a full-time webmaster, they often claim to be able to do everything under the sun as it pertains to the web (web design, development, RIA, databases, SEO etc)

We have web-designers (who love to be known as web-masters) they are usually graphic artists who have become popular with the WAOW! factor that has crippled the mentality of clients these days. they try their hands at web-enabled databases, patch a few scripts together and they claim to be masters of the industry. you can never be right with these guys, they have google and they have sold a couple of sites

We have Web developers - they may not be professionals with Adobe or Corel draw, but they know that a website is beyond graphics and effizy. they are responsible for websites that work and give you what you came for, sadly they are the ones who get less and less of the juicy webjobs out there because in the Nigerian view. it is not what you do that counts, but how you look doing it.

We have Webprenuers - they are sharp kids with an eye for what works and they can engage, manage and grow a web idea into something not unlike Nairaland @seun is a popular webpreneur and the jobsnigeria guys etc

We have Web Architects - who are really very good web developers and web designers who have now become project managers and planners. they know how to select the right webmasters, designers, developers into a TEAM that can give you the best of any web project.

So really the post is too general. rarely but not impossible, do you see an individual who has combined the skills of a webmaster, designer, developer and architect. and they abound wink

Bakare is not saying anything new. The foundation of christianity is fraught with lies, heresies, denials, presumptions, assumptions, omissions, commissions, occultisms and cultural inflitrations into the original doctrine of EMANNUEL. Even the name "JESUS CHRIST" is more of commission than truth. The basis of all these wrongs lies squarely in human colourations and interpretations of the message of GOD as professed by EMANNUEL. The genesis of disunity in christendom is rearing its ugly head again and would continue to be so till eternity. No two versions of the BIBLE is exactly the same, No christian worship in any church other than his denomination.

The Catholic Church started the heresy which led to the founding of Anglican, Methodist, Baptist, Presbyterian, Jesuit, Jehova Witness, Assembly of God, and many other denominations over time. The same denials amd presumptions gloated with human desire for authority led to the formation of the Pentecostal Churches or is it now Penterascals. The introduction of occultism, cultural and traditional African practices led to the formation of the so called white garment churches (Celestial, Cherubum & Seraphim) and the CAC.

In other countries of the world a lot of other strange indoctrinations has led to the formation of Brotherhoods that claims to be abiding by the teachings of the Bible. If people can just apply a fraction of their GOD given intelligence, they will see through all these lies. But these "MEN OF GOD" are always quick to condemn and chastise you for attempting to apply this GOD given intelligence and wisdom to keep people in perpetual religion bondage. It happens in Islam too. Hero worshipping is the greatest blaspheme in todays christainity and is equal to Idolatry they the ancient people practised.

I would not understand why a catholic would not want to worship in Anglican or Christ Embassy would not worship in TREM. A member of RCCG would not just attend church service at Deeper Life. I wonder why some one living in Lekki-Ajah axis would travel to Idiroko before he could worship in a church simply because he is a member of Oyedepo's church. I have never seen a celestial person attend a church service at a CAC. When you look at christendom with an unbiased mind whay you see is confusion, personal aggrandisement and brainwashing activities.

Satan is having his big laugh and he is succeeding in sowing his seed of discord amongst the so called "MEN OF GOD" and making them so confused and lost. The test he gave to the divine man Jesus, that Jesus floored him on is what the present day "MEN OF GOD" are failing in because of the love of material things. They want to own the world, eat the best food, drive the best car, marry the most beautiful women, wear the best clothes, own many businesses, have the hugest account, build the best and the largest church auditorium and university. Fly in private jets, wine and dine with the world political and business leaders, convive with Kings and Emperors, attract the largest members, have the largest branches and be at the centre of all religious activities.

I only pity those GOD gave brains to and refuse to think, eyes to and fail to see, ears to and refuse to hear and intelligence to and fail to apply it. Laziness and complacency make people to refuse to learn, develop and grow their capacity and capability to ascertain and not to be deceived or hoodwink. They are looking to GOD to provide what he has already enabled them to get themselves. If men are made in the image of GOD, I dont think any man need another man to see that Image of GOD in him. There could be spiritual guidance and teachings but any such that prevents you from using your brain and applying your wisdom is heresy.

The same "MAN OF GOD who condemn your intelligence and prevents you from applying your wisdom is himself using his intelligence and wisdom to hold you to his wiles and caprices in the name of JESUS. Wake up and be wise.

very little experience because the subject matter is as wide as outer-space itself better to choose a field and become an expert at that than to have a routine of spells, portions and sigils, ley lines etc.

A devout practitioner will tell you, that Magick as any other practice has its vices and you cannot make it a way of life just as you cannot make religion a way of life. (as you can already see the effects on Nairaland).

A Dabbler is not one who practices or reads Occultic books, a dabbler is one who wants fun and does not understand the primary elements of rudimentary magick or spell-casting, often a dabbler has little or incomplete information. which is why they often get into trouble.

If you are a practitioner, then you will surely know that Knowledge+Understanding must be your priority before practice. you do not just throw open-ended questions of Magick and expect people to catch interest and start casting spells without dire consequences, we are not talkign of parlour tricks here, you are dealing with forces of nature older than mankind itself. surely you would want to approach such matters with caution and concise delivery of information that truly matters not turning people into mermaids with some formulas.

I woke up this morning to rants that, we are good for the trophy but FIFA will place a ban for Age-cheating, but who cares, we have the trophy and it has come to stay.

1: FIFA are well aware of the Security situation in Nigeria and the potential for violence if they proceed to investigate while the competition is on-going.
2: They would prefer the competition to end and every team is safely back in their respective countries before they take up an investigation into Age-cheats during the competition not just (Nigeria)
3: If found guilty, the entire TEAM not the individual will pay the penalty and receive a 4-year Ban
4: The worst part, We will have to come up to the whole world to return the trophy and medals for cheating (twice in FIFA under 17 football History)

I know the Cheating-Supporters-Club will now question FIFA's motive why they acted late and not before or during the competition.

FYI, FIFA did not screen our TEAM for this competition (They will never do that to any country) they simply do random screening of any team and any individual

Worgu sentenced to flogging in Sudan

Nigerian star Stephen Worgu, who plays in Sudan, has been convicted of drinking alcohol and has been sentenced to be flogged.

Worgu plays for the Sudanese giants Al Merreikh, who are based in Omdurman in Northern Sudan.

Alcohol is illegal in the Muslim North, though not in the semi-autonomous and largely non-Muslim South.

The punishment on the diminutive attacking player has not yet been carried out, as his lawyer has appealed.

If the appeal is turned down, Worgu will receive 40 lashes and have to pay a fine of 250 Sudanese pounds, about US$100.

Fifty pounds was for drinking alcohol, and 200 pounds for driving while drunk.

The offence apparently took place in August of this year.

Worgu was bought by Al Merreikh for US$2.6m from Enyimba in Nigeria, in one of the biggest transfers in African history.

He had been the top scorer in the 2008 African Champions League, with 13 goals.

However Worgu's form on the pitch since his move has been something of a disappointment.

He was often left on the bench in key African Champions League game this season.

Earlier this year Worgu admitted to the BBC he was struggling to adapt to life in Sudan.

"I am finding it hard to adapt. It's a different culture, different religion different language, everything," he said.

"They have this Sharia law, and it's really affecting me also, because you don't feel free to do the things you need to do."

Despite Worgu's struggles, he still hopes to get a move to Europe.

A source close to Al Merreikh told the BBC he believed several foreign clubs were following Worgu closely.

It is not yet clear if this conviction could delay or even stop a potential move out of Africa for the Nigerian.

I have read several posts on Nairaland and followed caller responses to the issue on radio.

We seem to have some general consensus split among three schools of thought

1: Adokiyie is a simple bastard who has a hidden or obvious agenda, possibly a vengeful loser who could not get his own over-aged players into the under-17 team.
2: Adokiyie is right to tell the Truth but he should have either told it earlier to allow NFF substitute the player for a more youthful under-17. or better yet, he should have waited until after the competition was over and Nigeria had the trophy safely in her locker before coming out to complain.
3: We deserve the shame if we ever get caught in this scandal. NFF had all the time to test,verify and confirm the Ages and history of all the players assigned to Obuh.

What are your thoughts as we play Spain today in what the bookmakers are labeling a Fire-Cracker of a Match. Should we win and progress to the Fifa Under-17 Finals and eventually take the trophy, are we going to forget this ever happened, or will it simply become irrelevant since FIFA did not say a word on it

Adokiye Amiesimaka, former Green Eagles player, former Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice in Rivers, former Chairman of Sharks Football Club has been castigated for saying that Fortune Chukwudi, captain of Nigeria's Golden Eaglets is at least 25 year old.

Mr. Chukwu registered as a youth player with Sharks in 2002, as an 18 year old (which could still have been above the age limit for this competition). Adokiye was Sharks Chairman at the time and knows the player very well.

Please find attached photograph taken in 2002(7 YEARS AGO) at Sharks Stadium, Port Harcourt of some members of the feeder team of Sharks. Standing 4th from left is current U-17 captain of Nigeria at on-going FIFA U-17 WC in Nigeria. To his immediate right is James Peter who played for Premier League Sharks until 2 years ago. To his immediate left is Oyinkuro Sinclair, son of coach Monday Sinclair. Standing 3rd from the right is Belema Fenibo who also played for the senior team of Sharks for several years and is now with Ocean Boys.

Can those who insist that Chukwudi is U-17 provide proof? Chukwudi may not be the only over-aged in this team, but he is the one where is proof now.

Nigerians should not allow some greedy, corrupt elements to waste our national resources on old people parading as U-17 players.

All those involved in this should be explaining what they know about this scandal, including FIFA's silence.

Let us consider these scenarios for one fleeting moment (since we are all in the high-spirits of football) grin

1: The MRI scan was performed by the NFF/FIFA on our players, FIFA performs random spot tests they do not target an entire team for her scan.
2: Let us assume that we come tops in this competition and carry the trophy, and protests from other countries start to reek in and FIFA decides to perform an MRI Test and Adokiyie presents his evidence (beyond reasonable doubt), what then huh

3: is FIFA fully aware of the Nigerian Captains status and simply want this competition to carry on to the end before slamming us with a ban and retrieving the trophy our boys fought hard to win (albeit with suspected over-aged players).

The question here is not whether Adokiyie is evil, pathetic and cruel bastard! rather it is why we fielded an over-aged player against the FIFA rules, whether or not we knew about it and how he passed MRI scan won't be the focus at the end of the day.

I fear the day CNN will rush to headline the news. Today on breaking news, Nigeria became the first nation to return a FIFA WorldCup trophy for allegedly fielding over-aged players. then it would not matter whether Adokiyie was the cause of our global shame-fest or whether chukwudi passed MRI or whether FIFA should be blamed for waiting uptill the end of the competition. Our words here would not matter either.

Everytime we step out to any under 16-21 competitions, the age of our players will be in doubt

The matter is simple, how i hate predictions wrapped in symbolism and open-ended scenarios.

Everything is ultimately a split between coincidence and mathematics. If Mr. TBJ wants to be a reputed prophet, then it is very simple
1: Predict what half (and what qtr of the half) a team would score
2: Predict the name of the scorer, I don't think God has problems with giving out full details after all we are better informed and more advanced than the men of old
3: Predict exactly how many goals

It is never new that it is now a custom in our churches to give offering in every single service. I 'm not against the offering cos most churches gives more than five times in every single service. What marvels me is WHERE DOES THIS OFFERING GOES? DOES IT GOES TO GOD OR TO THE PASTOR OR REV. FATHER? WHO EATS MY OFFERING? NOTE- (God is not a man, neither does he dwell in the gifts of men, he delight in our praises)

Dude, the first perk about being a god is that you get your subjects to make offerings and sacrifices of blood (life) to you, you see there is a certain boner you get from seeing someone do something that unwholesome in your name
