there are too many scammers claimin gto be forex trainers and consultants and we all know how gullible nairalanders are.

I guess it is a step in the right direction (for now) to limit such discusisons simply to introductions let people go to your own site to get more details

what if someone lost $5,000 to a scammer who posted somethign on nairaland, Sen could lose a fortune and maybe nairaland in litigation matters grin (i'd buy her back for a nickle)

We deserve the type of leadership we have because so many Nigerians are unpatriotic. On a more serious note the people in government are our father, mother, brother, sister, uncle, aunt, church members, friends etc.Have you ever stayed after casting your vote and see it counted,we are always in a hurry to no where,i think its time we take our destiny in our hands,so that people like YARAMUMU aka MR SNAIL will never be in any office.
Very few Nigerians are patriotic and would you blame them. it was patriotism that brought about this psychotic democracy we are in, where injustice continues to prevail and the wrong people win time and time and time again when the right people's vote outnumber them. there is no use for Patriotism in this country except you have been brainwashed. look at our information minister AKA Brand Mistress, ho wcan she explain why we are paying for technology that we are not equipped to use and probably never will in the next 15 years, yet she is the beacon of patriotism

abeg leave matter for dustbin, it is not the voting that counts, but the counting of votes

Romance › Re: A Solution Against Girls Playing ''hard To Get'' by lagerwhenindoubt(m): 11:54am On Oct 09, 2009
I was aptly called Sgt. Slaughter (Slaughter-House on and off campus) in my hey-days and my rival-in-shag-matters BRIEF! (for those who know the guy) took on all comers, Jambites, Staleites, Aristo babes, Butta babes, ghetto babes, Yabatech, Medilag and Lasuite babes with little difficulty.

I don't know about your theories but we have some quick-start rules

1: Establish your profile. what does this mean? , intelligence, confidence, grooming and last but not totally necessary, a constant bulge in your pants  wink notice i did not say anything about money (useful but not necessary to actually have it as evidence)
2: Understand her needs (money, sex-pangs, companionship, revenge-screw, jealousy-screw, inexperience etc) every girl has a need and every need has an ego to feed your task is to feed that ego -- that is what "chyking" as you put it is all about.
3: Understand the concept of ADWA (Approach-Distance-Withdrawal-Approach) in summary, every female is programmed from childhood to to adulthood with the perception that they must be beautiful to be appreciated, (that is why bimbos get the most attention), sadly, that is also a stereotype most women live out everyday (make-up, fitted-pants, big-breasts, big-butt, bum lips sexy eyes etc). they have an image to live up to, one that this male-dominated society has created for them. This is your God-given advantage and you must use it wisely. (not all women can be taken advantage of without fatal consequences). using the ADWA technique (for entry-level toasters) you make a typical honest approach to a girl you have profiled and at this stage you should have a list of her core interests and her Age-Group (Will tell you the importance of Age to a girl/woman/lady/madam/mistress/sugar-mummy/milf later)
4: Make the entrance. remember females (from animals to man) all have a thing for quality (if na borrow-borrow then borrow). with the benefit of hind-sight (knowing her core interests) you can pretend to be the guy she is interested in (for a while) but do not try to finish-off the game in one day.  The true concept of chyking is not unlike getting hooked on drugs you are hesitant at first, then you are interested because of the danger factor, then you get a small taste and you like it, when you do not get it, you itch and have withdrawal symptoms, then you get it again and you are hooked for life (or till death) That is the ADWA technique. you have to be like  an addictive drug to the game you are hunting.

5: Make sure you do not come off as desperate and how can you come off as desperate
5a: Trying to finish all your interesting life in one conversation (Bad Idea) try this instead, avoid the cliched lines that every guy uses, like you have beautiful eyes, smile, face ,legs or arse. they have been playing catch-up all their life to stay beautiful, they hear those lines like a thousand times in a week. so try to b different, go figure out which lines you want to use but stay off the obvious, the goal is to make yourself look mysterious and interesting not her.
5b: Never finish a two-way conversation, once you start and she starts talking back, break-off abruptly to attend to something obviously more important, do not even say goodbye or catch you later. just go Here is the reason why. all humans are suckers for closure (we must see the end of anything that catches their interest for more than 5 minutes) By not "finishing" you are keeping things open for another assault on her senses.
5c: DO NOT give an encore within the next 5 days. this will allow her to move her interests to other things (remember you have not closed your conversation) when next you meet, her interest level for you should have increased (you are now like an old friend she has not seen in a while)

This is only Class 1 (Will continue 2morrow)

IMPORTANT NOTICE
AGE is a factor! (both the physical age and the psychological age of the girl in question)
In my books, girls have 4 age groups, 17-25 (Teenager to Wild-Teenager) within this age-range they are at their most malleable which means you can confuse and convince them easily, they are mostly adventurous so they make a lot of mistakes (good for you). 26-35 are the ones should not have a problem with but usually do. This is because they now have expectations and that Bad-boy game you are thinking of playing won't work easily (they are matured players by then and know all the tricks). But there is always a need that needs filling (always keep that in mind).

There are also girls you must avoid at all cost
1: The ones just coming out of a rude relationship and looking for revenge
2: The ones who hangout with better-off friends but are not on the same level as they are
3: The ones who want to fall in love FOREVER (even if the sex is good, the costs are deadly)
4: The ones who know what they want but not how to get it (you will waste your time here)
5: The ones who keep asking for this and that because of a few seconds of orgasm they gave you.

The ones you must meet
1: 26-30 types with cash to spare and desperate for love
2: 17-25 types you will find them in universities and always looking for a cheap thrill (sex included)
3: Religious types - because they are desperately fighting (and barely winning) the war with the flesh (Muslim/Christian)
4: Sugar mummies but you have to play your game right (you need to have graduated to an advanced gigolo to attempt this) so do not try this until you are absolutely ready for the BIG GAME

Nezan:
Hmm, this is terrific news. People in service selling arms to militants?!
People in service do not sell arms. it is the various incumbent governors and politicians that smuggle arms into the country. whenever election season approaches, there are a growing number of small/sophisticated arms racketeers across africa making a profit selling arms to various government/militant/private and rebel groups across africa. it is a hugely profitable market and there is always a willing BLACK African nation eager to buy these messengers of death to kill their own brothers and sustain their corrupt relevance in politics.

The grade of weapons on display are not the kind the Nigerian Military will want to equip her soldiers with in Peace-Time Nigeria before some young Captain starts having any ideas of a coup against a comatose leadership. BIAFRA did not get her guns from the Nigerian Military, they had Germans, Italians and the British supplying them with arms and intelligence.

Sad thing about this situation is that the Security infrastructure in this our dear nation is restricted to arresting celebrity Bank directors, guarding highly-placed political God-fathers, collecting cheap tolls on our check-points, leasing equipment to robbers and running armored convoys for weddings and Bank deposits

Heavenly Father, Almight Man. U fan. we beseech you once again, but not in the realms of Premiership, Carling, Champions or UEFA competitions.

Father, we have come with a humble heart and a sober mind. We bring our Men boys to you for subsequent washing and bathing in your blessings ahead of this Germany encounter.

We know that the Germans have trained hard, the intellect of their boys are one borne from years of consistent education (bereft of teachers strike and poor learning environment)

We know that our last match we did not depend on you to beat 9-man Tahiti (Sole exporters of Noni Juice and Sugar water) we have realized our folly so we come to you heads bowed and ask you to infuse the feet of our strikers with fire like the days of Moses in Egypt. Close the eyes of their goal-keeper like you did saul when he dared come against you.

We thank you for your blessings on our able Coach SIAOne. do not allow him to go bald over this event.

Thank you, we know the germans are trying to reach you on your cell-phone but we have asked our sponsors Glo to temporarily congest the network. It was done deliberately.

We ask this dear lord

Amen

Enough of this.
Yes we know, we've all seen the video. The next question is WHAT DO WE DO?

Let's be proactive for once. We need cogent suggestion on steps we can take to bring these men to justice.
The $1 million dollar question. sadly there is nothing we can do. especially when we continue to intellectualize issues so often.

Look at this thread from top to bottom, all intelligent-sounding people and to all purposes and intent, patriotic ones.

But then, there has never been a shortage of intellectuals and technocrats in Nigeria. we have some of the best minds from politics to technology.
Imagine a committee made up of barely university-graduate politicians who barely know the first word in electricity, hounding and lambasting a group of harvard's best on the
proper cost estimates of generating adequate power supply. and here we are today, after billions of US dollars, it cost Nigerians N796.4 billion on fuel to generate electric power that is what is projected as how much it
will take to generate 6kmgwatts that we need from PHCN. (NERC)

[url]http://234next.com/csp/cms/sites/Next/Home/5464495-146/Nigerians_Spend_N796bn_to_Fuel_Generators.csp[\url]

So you see, it is not by our actions to vote that results in the leaders we have. your vote counts for nothing when the electoral process is just a facade to hide the real intentions of our old-but-young democracy. an excuse to embezzle state funds using legal infrastructures.

Back to the question, what can we do?

How many people do you think Oni has sent to their graves either directly (killing them or ordering them killed) or indirectly (diverting government monies meant for the state into private accounts)

Do you for one minute think you can reason with these people on some logical and intellectual level?

I see a lot of nigerian youths with brilliant minds coming up with brilliant ideas and putting them at the feet of amazingly dim and wicked leaders to facilitate such ideas to fruition.

it is just like an old saying, you do not wear a gold-ring on the nose of a pig.

Wise words to a fool feels like whips to his back.

The answer is what we fear and you and I know it. the only way Nigerians will have a chance to live and sustain this democracy and all the benefits therein. is if our leaders DIE!

Dialogue did not solve the Niger-Delta problem, after all NDDC has been around after billions of Naira later. (where it costs N700 million to assasinate your enemy using voodoo)

bugi i share your sentiments u must also know that a lot of foolish people are on NL,so why waste your time with them, by the way whats your solution to all this ,i enjoy reading post here cos am not in naija, holla
That is easy for you to say, in every society there are institutions and civil principles that guide how people reason to certain circumstances or events deemed normal and expected (going by what the law, civility and humane thinking allows).

But when those principles evolve to a consistently unexpected pattern e.g bribing to see a public official to rectify or apply for an International passport, bribing nurses to move your name up the list to see a doctor to checkup your kid even when there should be one every hour of the day.
Then you see my friend, the unexpected becomes the expected and the unusual becomes the norm,

It is the default behavior when you work or partner with the Nigerian government, there will always be a kick-back or back-handshake. it is normally unusual but it is the way over here and people have come to accept it because without accepting reality, you cannot live in it and survive.

Go pay your PHCN (NEPA) bills then you will understand the (important) role of bribery in today's Nigerian Society.

Most road, bridges ,public utilities construction meant to serve the tax-paying public have kick-backs attached  grin

Somehow I doubt that, Ghana has over 600 Soccer Academies, I doubt registered, There have been cases where Nigerian players have gone to ghana to meet up with agents who will take them to Algeria, believe me youhave fraudulent soccer agents from Nigeria to Timbuktu. Ghana is no exceptio.

Whatever the case FIFA has set rules governing player-agent contracts. your FA gives you a fifa license and you must have insurance to the tune of $300,000 per player, I know of only two reputable Fifa-licensed agents in Ghana and one reputable soccer academy.

You can get a list of agents on FIFA's site but you will also find fraudulent ones there to. (as i learned a bitter lesson trying to work with them)

The key is as a player, get the best in training ,medical, education and counselling , that is what a good soccer consultancy does. not a lack market for selling africans
Sports › Re: Interested in playing abroad? (footballers & basketballers) by lagerwhenindoubt(m): 12:31pm On Oct 03, 2009
Sorry dude, that is not how it works, from what i gather you are into player/agent runs
a 50/50 game just that the player losses 100% of the time.

I have a consultancy and we pay for all our prospects expenses from training, to medicals to insurance to flight tickets, their job is to perform to the best of their abilities and if there is room for improvement, the clubs take over and that is where we make our income, a contract between the player and the club agreeign on annual fees as a percentage of weekly salaries and sign-on fees.

The players pay nothing

I thank you for your prayers (no harm there) but i will advise you to read your Bible carefully, ask for the Holy Spirit to infuse scriptural discernment in your understanding of the word, you will see that the verse "Touch not my annointed" is often quoted out of context as most of our christian brothers love to do in defence of something that is unscriptural or unrighteuous.

I SHARE YOUR OPTIMISM BUT FOR MARTIN LUTHER, THERE WERE SIGNS THAT
THINGS WILL CHANGE. The American society was progressive and social /political
culture and institutions were developed and regulated by the society. All that was done
to get the Obama scenario was to take advantage of these structures. The structures
were the basic foundation of American society- the basic freedoms, constitutionalism, the law
etc etc.

I am very impatient and my worry is that the institutions are not even there - Presidency?
Legislature? Economy and Bankers (WANKERs), political parties/ CIVIL SOCIETY / corruption? Rule of Law,
COnstitution, ELectoral law, INEC/

There seems to be no agreeable code of conduct/expectations. WHAT DO WE EXPECT FROM OUR LEADERS
AND WHAT DO THEY EXPECT FROM US ? I can go on and on.

We just seem to be living by the day, creating dubious milestones and visions, 2010,2020. Where are our
National Development plans? We continue to mouth international cliches- MDG etc. What are your own
national standards.

I an go on and on. WHERE ARE WE GOING? There are no structures that civil society can use to drive out the
vampires we call leaders AND THEY HAVE REFUSED TO CREATE THEM.

HERE IS MY LIST:-
-constitutional reform in general, true fiscal federalism or whatever
-Freedom of Iinformayiom Bill
-Electoral Reform
-Resource control/ Niger \Delta
-State Police

ADD YOUR OWN.

THIS IS MY WORRY [/b]
I could not have put it any aptly

A sad condition is one that you know it has become impossible to solve because all the odds are stacked against progress.

Think of it this way, We have a situation where the environment to function properly has been delibreately sabotaged to allow for structures that continually support further degradation of the environment. like a vicious cycle that cannot be broken.

Like driving a car with no brakes and on high speed. there is very little you can do to control your situation except run into concrete

If you think of this seriously, Naija has actually falsified her age. she is just 49yrs from when the British gave her Independece. before that she must have been at least 20yrs old because after the British left. after all you cannot call Nationalists liek The Great Nnamdi Azikiwe and Awolowo children when we got independence. so we are age cheats as well as old dufus'es,

If you wish to revoke your Nigerian Citizienship it is very easy.

Marry a woman from Ghana (instant citizienship). I am sure other countries do the same. then officially write a letter to immigration indicating your intent to revoke your citizienship. that is as far as it goes

What is she doign about Halliburton Bribery Scandal or Ibori, she is now thinking of psychriatirc tests for 2011 aspirants, she should start with the present ones, (she wan try) dem go slap dat im puff puff and pancake face sharp sharp.

Our leaders are professionals at making sweeping statements, we are professionals at choppin it hook-line (leaving the sinker hanging out of our mouths).

We have heard this before and it will amount to nothing, she may have found her voice, but it is all loudspeaker talk. nothing more to follow up with
