I just hope they did not sack ATM engineers or staff in that Unit. otherwise the crime rate on ATM incidents will just blow-up in our faces big tyme |
Now there is some real stepping up from Glo. the last site was orrible IMHO and i knew the guys involved. This one is at least 70% better than the previous one in looks and technology employed. but there is a bit of tweaking and optimization to be done at the Ajax end of things. i usually open vaunted sites with my UGO to see how the site works on ultra-slow internet links on the whole, swell job to whoever built it. |
The same feeling you get when you see guys sagging and showing you their gay butt-cracks. it is simply revolting. I normally do not notice until they are about to get out the car and the jeans is half-way down their butt-crack. Dammm!!! the cream never see that area at all and why they wear no panties is a wonder, only 2trip love-peddlers do that because they want to get down real quick and pull up real fast. ![]() |
It is a good thing that Nollywood is finally maturing to a stellar industry. all the noise about cheap, immature scripts and poor acting is starting to die out and quality is now a trend that must be followed. i was starting to get tired of Hollywood and Bollywood movies |
all those beefing facebook in loyalty to nairaland. nuttin do you, but you must recognize that they serve different audiences, purposes and personal moods. having them side by side is not going to make you a worse addict of nairaland. trust me |
This story looks the stuff small businesses do especially ones run by a startup CEO. Bigger organizations have larger problems and create more mess of things. it takes the skill of a hypnotist, politician and magician to create a website for a large organization without getting into this kind of trap. My personal experience is somewhat different. 1: Web design project is an initiative from the Marketing department or some other department that is concerned with the brand 2: IT department is given the project to handle in conjunction with marketing or PR department but IT takes over completely and this is where the problem starts for me in most projects. 3: IT understands that functionality is important and they put the branding on the back-burner explaining that what looks good in a brochure or magazine cannot be ported to the web (I don't believe so) The Brand people must have their cake even if it tastes sour and looks like dog poo. in the end, IT whittles down Branding/Marketing goals into a series of graphics and banners that must pop-up in the weirdest of places. by the time i am through. I do not want to put my name to the site credits. But some clients have the benefit of a CEO or IT Director who is well traveled and reads often (especially about web stuff and how things should work and still look good). in all there is only one way to go with awareness and that is UP. e go better |
Kanu is officially 33 yrs old. he played division 1 football with iwayanwu national at the age of 16, I think it is a good thing that youths break into first division clubs early. that way we are assured the longevity and quality experience of our national footballers (outside injuries and stress) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nwankwo_Kanu |
John Utaka is officially 27 and was born in 1982, what i find interesting is that he played division one football with enugu rangers at the age of 15 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Utaka |
I asked 2 simple questions that you have danced about and cleverly twisted but not answered. you simply asked me the same questions and quickly add abusive language to make your point. You have simply demonstrated and confirmed what i have suspected all along. you have a complex that you need to obsessively insult and put down other people to assert your intelligence when in reality you are simply a guerrilla arguer. no real position, just a weak one that you defend till death. Enjoy yourself the bliss tempting but i'll pass. ![]() |
Sagamite:@sagamite. i am truly wound up by your put-downs and inability to follow a post logically as your signature indicates. i will not ask why you must insist on abusing posters on NL (Yes i have been following your threads since the post you called me retarded and stupid) and i know it is not personal. permit my moronic (as pointed out by intelligent/logical self) aptitude to ask you the following 1: I do not have sales stats on Nigerian Jerseys. (What are the figures and is the trend rising or falling. i can recall the last three events that involved soccer and losses were declared on National dailies) 2: Has NFF used these monies to develop football (I can also recall that FIFA provides funding for grassroots football and have built a center in Abuja). I could be wrong but states/corporates fund local competitions. I shall not ask you to engage your brain (because you do obviously) but if you can let us morons catch up with your thinking, it would help a lot if you stop abusing posters at the slightest whim. |
I wish him a pleasant recovery and some sober times ahead. y'see The President of a Country is merely a visible face to the leadership of his country. just as the face or head represents the person. If you see a person's face, you do not need to see the rest of the body to affirm that it is him or he is well or unwell. But the other parts of the body have a part to play in the proper functioning of the body, the various arms of government, the ministers, governors,LG chairmen, councillors, ambassadors all have a part to play. inevitably the country experiences troubles not because of its leaders (solely) but because the rest of the country's leaders are performing much worse. after all YarAdua cannot make a unilateral decision and expect it to stand without the active support of other arms of the government. I have lit a candle for him (which i also used in place of PHCN power awaiting 6k megawatts by end of December) ![]() |
Sagamite:@sagamite. Funding teams (in Nigeria), listen to yourself besides the echo of your own voice. since when in this country has our jersey being a tool for funding, which monies from the sales of jerseys has paid bonuses or developed football in Nigeria, any figures will do since you are highly literate and got excellent education from the best institutions. your persistence at calling every poster a fool, i.diot, dullard or any other adjectives that qualify seems to be your forte. as usual, you ignore the greater picture which is. our Super Eagles must perform before we can become a brand that will allow for our Jerseys (fine or ugly) to become a funding tool. |
ralphossai:and you just happen to be a first-time poster, yea right ![]() |
@lawyer do you have any tips for income and VAT registration with FIRS. i went to their large office in Ikoyi only for some very important officer to tell me i need N200k+ before he will consider my application. my heart sunk.i doubt i have made up to N1k with the business. Please advise me, what can i do and how can i get it done. i have downloaded the forms from their site. Thanks |
The Ayes have it and the Nays hold sway, brothers, Jersey or no Jersey, we are out in the first round and i am sure some of our players will have their jersey numbers written with Marker or charcoal ![]() |
ooooh, silly me. carry on |
Africa's largest christian populations (NIGERIA) with trillions in tithes and offerings but soo little in prayerful impact on this God-forsaken nation called Nigeria. The Devil is running amok in Nigeria, show me evidence that he is not |
Thank God i saw this post, i pity my wife when it comes to breast-feeding our 1 month old baby, the guy is a sucker. and she is almost in tears, that article on breastfeed.com is very useful, I tried making angry faces at him but he pauses for a while, ignores me and continues sucking |
Is this legal i mean i just bought some of the books listed here. what happens if a publisher finds it on NL, i wonder |
mazaje:GBAM!!. God has laid down the rules, Right or Wrong you choose and face the consequences. when and where-ever they happen. I doubt his style as recorded in the New Testament is as strict and exacting as in the days of Moses and teh Supreme Court. these days you have a system of Appeals and you can keep appealing just to delay your final judgment. |
toneyb:O boy take am easy, If God no smite you now, some disgruntled christians will take it upon themselves to exact excruciating smiting on your black behind. Sooo take am easy, better a beating than a beheading (the Muslims will have your head) |
@Nezan, you are soooo busted Nezan:Here are some men and women who mocked God : John Lennon (Singer): Some years before, during his interview with an American Magazine, he said: 'Christianity will end, it will disappear. I do not have to argue about that. I am certain. Jesus was ok, but his subjects were too simple, today we are more famous than Him' (1966). Lennon, after saying that the Beatles were more famous than Jesus Christ, was shot six times. http://www.john-lennon.com/theassassinationofjl.htm "He walked past me and then I heard in my head, 'Do it, do it, do it,' over and over again, saying 'Do it, do it, do it,' like that," Chapman, preternaturally serene, recalled in a BBC documentary several years after going to prison. "I don't remember aiming. I must have done, but I don't remember drawing a bead or whatever you call it. And I just pulled the trigger steady five times."Unless you are saying rather than Smite people as he routinely does, he chose a rather elaborate scheme to brain-wash a good christian fellow into shooting his target, very feeble argument there Nezan Tancredo Neves (President of Brazil ): During the Presidential campaign, he said if he got 500,000 votes from his party, not even God would remove him from Presidency, Sure he got the votes, but he got sick a day before being made President, then he died. Well i will give it to him there, that is a classic smoting example that is reminiscent of the days of Pharaoh and Slave Israelites and the pestilence and smoting of first borns (i love that word smite) Cazuza (Bi-sexual Brazilian composer, singer and poet): During A show in Canecio Rio de Janeiro ), while smoking his cigarette, he puffed out some smoke into the air and said:'God, that's for you.' He died at the age of 32 of LUNG CANCER in a horrible manner. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_HIV-positive_people Guy, the dude was bi-sexual and had HIV, he died from complications resulting from a poor immune system and opportunistic diseases, this guy had it coming and God could care less if he was Bi-sexual or puffing smoke at him. God is beyond that and can accept you as long as you are born-again. Nezan, try to seek facts before posting The man who built the Titanic After the construction of Titanic, a reporter asked him how safe the Titanic would be, With an ironic tone he said: 'Not even God can sink it The result: I think you all know what happened to the Titanic Again, you persists in shallow arguments, it is a known fact that the Titanic, beyond the captain ignoring 4 Warnings of ice bergs or floating blocks of ice, the ship was never tested and it, well read the full list of mistakes for yourself here http://thelongestlistofthelongeststuffatthelongestdomainnameatlonglast.com/how48.html Marilyn Monroe (Actress) She was visited by Billy Graham during a presentation of a show. He said the Spirit of God had sent him to preach to her. After hearing what the Preacher had to say, she said: 'I don't need your Jesus'. A week later, she was found dead in her apartment. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marilyn_Monroe#Death_and_aftermath On August 5, 1962, LAPD police sergeant Jack Clemmons received a call at 4:25 a.m. from Dr. Ralph Greenson, Monroe's psychiatrist, proclaiming that Monroe was found dead at her home in Brentwood, Los Angeles, California.[120] She was 36 years old. At the subsequent autopsy, eight milligram percent of Chloral Hydrate and 4.5 milligram percent of Nembutal were found in her system,[121] and Dr. Thomas Noguchi of the Los Angeles County Coroners office recorded cause of death as "acute barbiturate poisoning," resulting from a "probable suicide".[122] Many theories, including murder, circulated about the circumstances of her death and the timeline after the body was found. Some conspiracy theories involved John and Robert Kennedy, while other theories suggested CIA or Mafia complicity.[123].Bon Scott (Singer) The ex-vocalist of the AC/DC. On one of his 1979 songs he sang: 'Don't stop me; I'm going down all the way, down the highway to hell', On the 19th of February 1980, Bon Scott was found dead, he had been choked by his own vomit. Nezan. i am sure that you did not post this yourself. because it stinks with biased reporting and deliberate exclusion of the truth which is very un-christian if i might add. here is an excerpt of the official story http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bon_Scott#Death On 19 February 1980, Bon Scott, 33 at the time, passed out after a night of heavy drinking in a London club called the Music Machine (hosted at the Camden Palace, currently known as the KOKO). He was left to sleep in a car owned by an acquaintance named Alistair Kinnear, at 67 Overhill Road in East Dulwich, South London.[13] The following afternoon, Kinnear found Scott lifeless, and alerted the authorities. Scott was rushed to King's College Hospital in Camberwell, where he was pronounced dead on arrival. Pulmonary aspiration of vomit was the cause of Scott's death,[14] and the official cause was listed as "acute alcohol poisoning" and "death by misadventure".[15][16] Scott was cremated and his ashes were interred by his family in Fremantle, Western Australia, the city to which they had moved when he was six.[17]Campinas (IN 2005) In Campinas , Brazil a group of friends, drunk, went to pick up a friend, The mother accompanied her to the car and was so worried about the drunkenness of her friends and she said to the daughter holding her hand, who was already seated in the car: 'My Daughter, Go With God And May He Protect You, She responded: 'Only If He (God) Travels In The Trunk, Cause Inside Here, It' s Already Full ' Hours later, news came by that they had been involved in a fatal accident, everyone had died, the car could not be recognized what type of car it had been, but surprisingly, the trunk was intact. The police said there was no way the trunk could have remained intact, To their surprise, inside the trunk was a crate of eggs, none was broken. Seriously!!! I mean SERIOUSLY!!! this has got to be one of the most played out religious hoax on the internet, even the brazilian authorities have come out to say they have no records for this guy, no families and definitely no record of this wierd-out accident NEZAN is posting about. It is a SIN to propagate lies even google crashed when i tried to ascertain this fake fact. Christine Hewitt (Jamaican Journalist and entertainer) said the Bible (Word of God) was the worst book ever written. In June 2006 she was found burnt beyond recognition in her motor vehicle. Now this is a really low blow for Christiandom. how can you insinuate that God sent a bunch of toked-up jamaican drug dealers to kill this woman? that is sooo. sick i mean even for christians. http://www.jamaica-star.com/thestar/20060630/news/news1.html THE POLICE LAST night confirmed that the body that was found in a burnt out Toyota Hiace van is that of former talk show host and public relations practitioner, Christine Hewitt. And the moral of the story is, never copy and paste without verifying |
We had a fancy kit in France 98,,, where did it take us. It is not the kit that makes the team,it is the creativity and gameplay displayed on field. Our success at the world cup can make the SE a brand to chase after, but sadly (as usual) we are always focusing on really strange stuff, like when we hide our team training so that spies from other teams cannot know our strategy. only to fall like a truck-load of Maluuus, when we enter the field of play, We should stop pre-empting failure at this early stage. Because I know Festus Onigbinde and Amodu will claim that poor branding was responsible for our failure at South Africa 2010 |
Pro Anti:On the contrary my dear sir, that is what you and a lot of intelligent Nigerians fail to grasp. Freedom of Speech really means Freedom of Speech. you can say exactly anything you want to say and how you want to say it and when you want to say it. what you see or construe as rubbish may be perceived as sound talk by other quarters. What you may be drifting towards is that as long as citizens have the right to say what they want to say, you have the right to sue or seek redress if you feel you have been defamed in anyway. Your poke at the fundamental concept of "choice of grammar" in matters related to public speech is detrimental to modern day African Societies. by corollary, you are implying that Freedom of Speech is a privilege that we must not squander. It is not. It is a right as a human being to air our views whether the other man likes it or not. (How you take it from there is where the problem often starts) If I say the President knows nothing of leadership. in present day Nigeria, I could be arrested and charged with treason (and that is a fact) but has my choice of words or its presentation merited that sort of action? You tell me Mr. man. |
love4good:Bros go on soun, let them hold on to their own belief systems, it has kept them going from birth and will be with them till death. to each his own. If you did not achieve purpose in Eckankar and start claiming they are cults with evil intentions, what would you say of a christian who converted to muslim or an occultist who became christian or a muslim who converted to catholicsim abeg to each his own, just hold ya side. and stop catigating other religions simply because you do not get fulfillment like u expected |
otokx:Really, then on with the looting and scheming because that is what is going to happen. some interim arrangement that will last another year, allowing for massive looting across the Senate, Reps Ministers etc. after all. Sir Goodluck Jonathan will sign anything from an undated resignation letter to a FIFA-U17 Fund he knows nothing of how it was spent |

I have been to south africa and believe me, Nigerians rule the streets and the trade. i don't know how they get funding or how they manage to stay out of jail but my hotel had this particular Nigerian who i hear is the local drug czar and he has been in the hotel for donkey-years. (sounds like a move right?) |
wishful thinking, that is all we do when prayers don't look like they are going to work. Abeg we are just going to SA 2010 for sight-seeing. I am sure the aging eagles will refuse to go back to their respective clubs and party-out the rest of the World Cup as an excuse. When we lost to Angola on home soil. did the boys not go to clubs instantly abeg leave matter for midnight rat |
The Bible did speak of fallen angels that are now referred to as spirits of the skies (lower heavens) which could mean outerspace or outer regions of the galaxy. so you see it does not ridicule creation in anyway. I for one do not believe that this complex mold of proteins and DNA that has taken 20 years to decode one strand using mega computers world-wide. was as a result of some mouldy gummy stuff mixed with algae a billion years ago. We still have algae and i scrape them daily off the bottom my kitchen sink, sadly i have not found a specie or rat evolving under my kitchen sink ![]() |
Kay 17:You have made an interesting point which i have always wondered about. The Greeks believed in many gods and predates christianity by at least a thousand years and here is where i find connections that are hard to ignore. Christianity's Samson has a similar tale to the Greek's Hercules, they both killed a lion with bare hands and both were betrayed by a woman (Delilah for Samson and Deianeira for Hercules Christianity talks of Paradise and a place of suffering each in proximity such that you could see its inhabitants. the Greeks have the Underworld and Elysian fields where virtuous and sinful dead wait for final judgment. Christianity says God was displeased with man and the sin in the world so he caused a flood in which a few chosen from both male/female species were saved to reproduce and fill the earth once more. Zeus (king of greek gods) came to earth and was displeased with the greeks because he found them eating human flesh. so displeased he was, he caused a flood and saved a man and woman in an Ark to propagate the earth once the flood had dried up. Christianity associates a woman EVE with the fall of man and subsequent evils of this world. before EVE the world was without sin until she ate the Apple. to the Greeks, until pandora opened the infamous "pandora's box" and let out unspeakable evil into the world, teh world was without sin. Greek Hercules has his 12 labours and Christ his 12 stations of the cross (why 12) Greek Hercules made himself as a sacrifice and rose to become a god in the heavens, Christ was sacrificed for mankind and rose 3rd day and ascended into heaven. Hercules on one of his labours (out of 12) went to three wise but blind witches who shared one eye to see the future, could there exist a connection between that and the three wisemen and the star that led them to Bethlehem. Christians believe that Christ in his second coming will go down and break the powers of hell and lock hades (greek god) for a thousand years. One other connection i find that cuts across several cultures of the world is the "Thread of Life" a cord that connects mortal man to his soul of which when cut, the mortal man dies. The three fates attempted to cut Hercules thread of life but failed when the realized he had started transforming into a god. Ecclesiastes in the Bible also speaks of a Silver Cord that when severed means the end of man. |
