LogicPower: Yes, you are both right! If that was how best I could write, then I must have been a primary school drop-out!
Even a primary school pupil, or a good student in an adult literacy class, should have been able to identify and correct the mistakes you alluded to in that post of mine, because they were such glaringly obvious and simple typographical errors.
But why didn't I correct them? It was simply because the moderator, very strangely, DENIED me the technical facility to do!
Immediately I sent the post, I saw the mistakes and went for the 'modify' button to correct them, only to get a message that I couldn't do so because the post was LOCKED. I tried again, and again later but still without any success.
How come I could/still can edit all my previous posts but not this particular one that I would certainly have wanted to edit more than all the others, given that it was about the evaluation of texts? This is what I find so baffling!
Did somebody, somewhere, somehow, decide to help you in this our mini-debate on the use of English by denying me the facility to correct these typographical errors, so that you could at least have something with which you could have a go at me?
Mr 'moderatorr', are you really not one of the moderators on NL, as your moniker cynically eerily implies? If it looks like a duck, waddles like a duck, and quacks like a duck, it's most probably a duck!
But why did I make those mistakes in the first place? It was simply a case of Chomsky's 'linguistic performance' manifesting some of its well known features; I was typing the post while doing a whole load of other things simultaneously - and I couldn't edit later!.
If either of you has studied linguistics well enough, he/she could easily relate this particular context to the Chomskyan theory.
But try assessing me on the other parallel aspect of the theory, namely 'linguistic competence'; just randomly pick ANY of my other posts, which the moderator (moderatorr?) allowed me to edit, read it, assess the technical quality of the language and then get back to me with your feedback, PLEASE. who gave you expo |

Mtchewwww There it is right there!! the same disconnected line of reasoning that our leaders burden us with, how has what you have posted expressed what you are trying to say? (if you are trying to say anything) As you, GEJ and the lot of public office holders in Nigeria make the most pedestrian and inane comments then try to give them relevance by simply saying it and believing it makes sense. A lot of Nigerians may be outright buffoons like your GEJ. there are some who can actually complete productive thought processes from start to finish. How has GEJ's well-mannered facebook fans determined that they are better off than his NL fans e.g @Beaf @Ma_J_Blige @werepeLeri etc Someone is obviously feeding you garbage. |

Beaf: Please find the time, bruv. We really need to know the inner details. Its hard to imagine how anybody can steal as much as Tinubu and he is doing it so brazenly too. That man is dragging Lagos back very seriously. Off the 7billion Ikuforiji stole, he was giving Tinubu N200million monthly. For what?! I am quite sure Ikuforiji is the tip of the iceberg and there is a vast network of rot supporting Tinubu's pocket.
The worst thing is the way he has been obstructing the good work Fashola is doing, trying to kill the mans spirit by even flying in governors from other states to choose his commissioners. Why can't he allow Fashola to work, isntead of parasiting a whole 2billion per month with Alpha-Beta?
The whole thing is so annoying. Please people, lets get behind Fash to eject that little square thief and bigtime criminal. Have you asked yourself how much the ACN states are delivering to Tinubu monthly |

chmod777: Hi brothers, All said on this post could only stop new entrant into systems security. Real h * a * k *rs or penetration experts (ethical) have more sophistications that when I tell you NO one is secure , I am sure of what I am saying. Just try to be careful and pray you do not fall victim. Antivirusse, firewals, IDS, your ssl password protections are all for theories. Just make friends with an exploiter/real Linux geeks/pentesters, then you would regret why IETF never envisaged security as a problem to internetworking of things. Those who have heard this " the quieter you become, the more you are able to hear" should understand what I mean. Internet is real childs play when it comes to security. Did you know that the TCP/IP protocol on itself has vulnerabilities and backdoors Did you know that http (GET,PUSH, PULL, Synch etc) is so vulnerable and several back-doors. Did you know that the macros in your Windows office is real jail braker Did you know that the SQL is unreasonable so vulnerable. Did you know that the most deadly software is pdf
Take note that no protection can really protect you from advanced guys. It feels cool to know what to do and how to do it
I must conclude that when it comes to IT security ;{the stuffs you learn in conventional class rooms just to get a piece of paper to hang on your wall is but a shadow of the real deal} laughing at your NL id. chmod777 is giving read/write/execute access ooh |

This is true advice http://www.netshet.org/2010/09/18/10-tips-to-avoid-hackers/Windows UpdateFirstly you have to take care of your updates. Try to find the software which are updated and meet the requirements of modern security conditions. The software you already have, update them regularly from the trusted sites. Also make your web browser and other programs to have best updates. In this way you can make your computer secure. You can also protect your computer by updating your windows. For this purpose you must have to install original windows with a new Key. The copied windows cannot be updated because they have been installed on so many computers. So make sure that your PC have the original window and update it regularly and install the important updates. In this way you computer will be resistive to many viruses and hackers. Anti-Virus SoftwareYou can also use anti-virus software to protect your computer from viruses but I will advice you that always ask for complete pack of anti-virus which also include anti-spy ware software. In this way you are also secure from those type of hackers which deploy keylogger and spyware to your computer through random installation. Anti-MalwareMalware are also type of virus which are deployed from the same hackers. Malware cannot transfer your data like spyware but this can make your programs halted and they are unable to work more. In this way they can halt your work efficiency. Hacker-Controlled WebsitesTry to not to use the websites which are not trusted. Your anti-virus provides internet security. Using such software you can secure your computer to be affected from such websites. These anti-virus programs only allow those sites to open which are trusted and are not affected. Mostly the hackers are deployed with porn websites, so try not to open such sites because to watch such stuff is work of morally corrupted people and it is against our humanity. Spam E-MailThere is also one source through which you can be affected and hackers can reach you. Sometimes you receive emails which are spam. Don’t open those emails you don’t need. Just open those emails you trusted on and are of your use. They sometime posted some links which are from affected websites and you can face hacking counterfeiting from them. So be careful. Fire WallGenuine windows have one more option to make your computer secure that is windows fire wall. This fire wall did a great job for you. Anything which is not necessary for your computer or that can harm your computer is not allowed to access your computer by this fire wall. Just put it on once and it will do job for you without your notice. |

Recommended Prayer for the Nation known as NIGERIA
Nigerians have been praying Positive Change for the past 52 years since independence. It is time to pray Dangerously
1: That the Freedom of Nigeria begins with the slow and painful demise of OBJ through Lymphoma and testicular cancer 2: That the lives of Incompetent and Selfish Religious leaders in Nigeria be cursed with liver failure and prostrate cancer up to their future generations 3: That the lives of Corrupt, Under-performing past and present Public office holders from President to Councillor be filled with Sorrow, Death and Calamity 4: That the mindset of Willful Ignorance in Nigerians of all ethnic and religious affiliations be deleted from their memory and replaced with a mindset of Tolerance, Maturity and Wisdom
Pray this prayer everyday It only last 1 minute and will have more effect than praying 5 times a day and fasting every last Friday of the month. |

okeyxyz: ^^^ I think you can recieve positive response. it's all about presenting yourself well. you are a university graduate, CCNA certified, CCNP training with APTECH, these are all reputable selling points. you can write an application\proposal for an IT internship project, highlight what they can gain from you & what you hope to gain from them & that payment is not your primary motivation but the field experience(i know the money issue is tough, but it can help open doors for you. i really wish it goes well for u). it would also help to include reputable persons as your referees, recommending that you are trustworthy. at least small\medium businesses would likely respond favorably to this proposal, and they do get the contracts with bigger businesses requiring IT services. I feel so sad for this country and and the dumb mumu dancing around because these corrupt clowns are prosecuting Tinubu.
These corrupt people don protect and cover their own people through the back door?
Are we ever going to find out who settled with the government?
Are we ever going to find out how much they stole and?
Are we ever going to find out how much they paid back to the federal government to settle their the crimes they committed against their states and the people of Nigeria.
Are we even ever going to find out if they indeed pay 1 kobo to nobody?
Obiously, this is telling Nigerians to look the other way, No PDP public official is facing any trial, these trials are designed for political eneimies like Tinubu, and never to fight or jail corrupt Nigerians for corruptuion.
To all you dumb mumu with amnesia and zero clue about your country and it's history of corruption>>>>
Don't you ever say anything about the PDP prosecuting OGD, Akala, Obasanjo, IBB, Dariye, Anenih, Bankole, Ogbulafor, Atiku, Nnamani, Kalu, Saminu Turaki, Igbinedion , Odili, Gasau and many many more.
Everyday we wonder why Mr A and Mr B are yet to be prosecuted, this is the reason why, they've all settled and covered each others a.s.s the usual padi padi and, they designed a loophole to protect themselves,
To you all dumb fools thinking prosecuting Tinubu is the answer to your corrupt country, think again, you've been bamboozled. EKo-Ile. The fact that the Justice system has been undermined (to snag Tinubu) does not mean that Tinubu should also escape because he is now a victim of a compromised justice system. I really don't care as long as another one bites the dust Corrupt PDP or Corrupt ACN through the same corrupt justice system. |
