i have said it the other person is you unless u release her |
Apologies i didnt write yesterday, some things just skip the mind. Firstly that book of Bilal philips i think i have read it before is about the evolution of the madhab in fiqh and not actually the fiqh itself as it is impossible to write a short book especially in english on the 5 madhab. A book in Arabic by sheikh Zuhaili of Damascus was around 12 or 16 volumes and comprised the opinion of 4 madhab. Anyway back to the issue, the reason why i mentioned fiqh was because the islamic fiqh as we know today was all developed based on quran and hadith. All the scholars of fiqh were muhadithun in their own right and the 4 great imams all had a book of hadith. e.g Muwata- imam malik and Musnad of Imama hanbal. one of The reason why hadeeth can be relied upon is due to a science called "ilm 'ul rijallun hadeeth" Science of the narrators of hadith. It is a science the early scholars and muhadithun developed. This science is about the extensive study of each person on a chain of hadeeth to determine his reliability and honest. It is a complete biography of the personality and if it was established that such a person told lie once the hadeeth would be degraded immediately. Bare in mind that there could be 6 people on the chain and if just one is doubtful the whole hadith loses its credibility. The study of rhe life of imam bukhari would shed more light on what i mean. We should also note that some sahabas travelled thousands of mile to establish the authenticity of just one hadeeth by going to the narrator himself to listen from the horses mouth. You still havent given a book, reference, date for the even you stated at the begining of the thread. Lastly you said you are neither sunni nor shia but this is impossible as you have to be something. You also said you believed in the 12 imams did you understand what i meant by the 12 imams? |
I don’t know if this sectarianism or tribalism can ever leave our country. Here is someone within a state screaming discrimination, what would this person do to people outside his state not talking about someone far away from his tribe. All the people shouting Nigeria should divide I wonder what will happen if people like this start to scream discrimination after the division, afurther division maybe till every state becomes a country and then states like Kogi would have Ebira people shouting for their own country. |
Nigerias name even a liablity for yahoo boys chai things don kolo for dat country |

Justice Secretary Jack Straw has been the victim of Nigerian fraudsters who sent out hundreds of e-mails in his name asking for money. The e-mails claimed he had lost his wallet on charity work in Africa and needed 3,500 US dollars to get home. Messages headed the Right Hon Jack Straw MP were sent to council bosses, government chiefs and others. The fraudsters are thought to have hacked into computers at Mr Straw's Blackburn constituency office. Mr Straw has confirmed the e-mails had been sent to a "significant number of people" in his address book but he said there were no security issues as it was his Blackburn e-mail address rather than his ministerial account that was targeted. He told his local newspaper the Lancashire Telegraph: "I started getting phone calls from various constituents asking if I was really in Nigeria needing 3,000 dollars. "It was an issue for constituents, not the government. I would like you to assist me with a soft loan urgently to settle my hotel bills and get myself back home Fake email sent to Jack Straw's contacts "We are checking all that and I am assured there's no evidence that confidentiality of constituents was affected." When he was home secretary, Mr Straw established the National Hi-Tech Crime Unit to combat internet hackers. He said: "The internet is wonderful in many ways, but these gangs put a lot of effort in because they make money from it. "In a lot of cases they do get people to cough up. "But I think it was so obviously ridiculous that I could go off trekking in Africa and I would lose my wallet." 'Misplaced wallet' The scam e-mail, which was sent to Labour members, council chiefs and Ministry of Justice officials, said Mr Straw was travelling to Africa for a project called Empowering Youth to Fight Racism, and was at an address in the Nigerian capital Lagos. Mr Straw is quoted as saying: "I misplaced my wallet on my way to the hotel where my money and other valuable things were kept. "I would like you to assist me with a soft loan urgently to settle my hotel bills and get myself back home". The scam came to light on Thursday when Mr Straw's office received an e-mail saying its account would be suspended unless a reply was sent. But when a member of staff replied, they were blocked out of the account. Constituents then began to phone Mr Straw's constituency office asking about the e-mail they had received. One is believed to have replied to the e-mail, but nobody has offered any money to the fraudsters. The Hotmail account was suspended by Microsoft. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk_politics/7908498.stm |
As far as i know a muslim is entitled to one name. However in many cultures the give the muslim name and then have other traditional names like mukinah stated. It is a common trend when new fathers have issues with their own fathers about names, i suppose they have to talk it through between themselves and let him see reason why he wants the name. |
https://www.nairaland.com/nigeria/topic-233135.0.html This thread is a christian lady who likes the muslim women's mode of dressing. You can all contribute. |
Jarus thats a good point and i did not intend to implicitly give excuse for prostitution. The economy should not lead women to prostitution but it inflames an already weak eeman. The Caliph Umar (RA) said poverty is next to kufr - this really means a lot and the prophet (SAw) use to make d dua "llahumo inni audhubika minnal Kufri wal Faqri" Oh Allah i seek refuge with you from Disbelief and poverty. There is a reason why he linked the two and it is because shaitan uses poverty to capitalise on a weak eeman. May Allah strenghten our eeman and turn us away from poverty and turn poverty away from us. |
@Babe X Can i ask where you studied? Was it in the UK? To the topic i perfectly understand your feelings about modest dressing. I am a muslim and beleive in modest dressing but the issue with female dressing in christianity is that the word modesty is relative and there is no clearly defined mode of dressing hence, modesty is subject to differen interpretaion and the new evngelical missions are so liberal they allow any piece of cloth to be worn. In islam there is a defined mode of dressing and it is any cloth that doesnt reveal the shape of a woman and covers hear adornment and hair hence the use of hijab and jilbab/Abayyah. The hijab or dressing itself is not a sign of purity but an identity of modesty and islam as commanded by the most high. The early generations of christians used to cover up and the catholic nuns still uses something similar to the hijab till date. I have also never seen A Mary without a headscarve on. To the issue of sisterhood, it is something encouraged in Islam and the women remind themselves of modesty and piety. The funny thing is if an outsider sees what loads of them wear and the kind of jewelry they use it is just amazing but they show it off among themselves and their husbands but not for every public eye. In simple words they control who sees their full beauty. Every good thing God created he covered up. The pearls of the sea are covered by the sea, treasures of the earth are covered in the earth, most crops we grow are covered up and the corn is covered up by it wrap., the gold is covered up in the eart and so are the solid minerals , this is just a random take. |
The hijab itself is not a sign of purity rather it is an identity of a muslim woman as commanded by the most high. purity of faith is in the heart and translates into action (good deeds) after the professing with the toungue. In every scheme of life you have people with weak faith and iman and the iman of every single soul does fluctuate and it is not static. Prostitution has been since the creation of man and it would forever remain even in the most strict environments. The fact of you seeing these should not make you lose your respect for ladies in the hijab in the least because you dont judge a nation by the actions of some elements. There would always be bad eggs in every scheme of life and it is the same way these women sleep around some religious men also sleep around for whateve reason. The women alone should not be castigated as if there is no market for them they would have found other means of survival. Its a shame the economy is terrible and most of these women dont have any men to tkae care of them and no viable means of income. These women need rehabilitaion and vocational training to give them a dignified life. |
