i respect your opinion but i beg to disagree. Electricity was better of before OBJ and OBJ left it in a worse state and to add salt untoinjury $16 billion was sunk into it which makes it more disgusting.

OBJ played politics with Lagos and stalled lots of developmental progress of Lagos, witheld legitimate alloacation, stalled the independent power programme in 1999, caused trouble on lagos federal roads and lots of trouble.

OBJ worst achievement was the shambles of April 2007 election which was the worst in Africa and probably in the world so how did he leave the country in a greater state when he forced this man Yaradua on us. The election that brought him to power in 1999 altho rigged was 90 times better than 2007.

The few achievements of OBJ was the use of some technocrats to achieve good thing which i acknowledge but overall he was a terrible leader for Nigerian poor not benefitting anything from the $100 oil price in abt 5 yrs of his administration. No infrastructural develeopment on any large scale that we withnessed during Gowons regime and indeed many of the infrastructure of Lagos was during that regime.

I feel u my guy its just how those drivers drive those toys that make me go crazy. They dont move from cars and compete with them.
Some years ago i travelled to Lagos and i was driving then suddenly 2 bikes appeared on the road from a side street wihout looking at the road and i couldnt swerve as there were roadside traders. I hit both of them and before i could say jack robinson about 30 of them had surrounded me. It was by the mercy of God that i did not kill them but i had to pay for their treatment and stuff. IU wonder how many accident they have caused and i think those guys should be given proper training .

Since then i really feel scared to drive when i am in Lagos cos of those bikes, men me i fear them o and i no won kill person!!!

In as much as Okada is a menace to the society i would not propose to the ban them for now as this would render thousands of people jobless and they would just resort to armed robbery. The govt has to look for ways of absorbing these people into other employment if they ever ban them.

Nonthless those bikes are an environmental nuisance to the city of Lagos.

Everyone in Sudan speaks arabic and in Dafur they speak arabic. We should note here that this is ethnic clashes and nothing to do with religion. Tribalism and ethnicism is alien to the teachings of Islam so what is happening there is unfortunate but the onlyreason the west is interested in Dafur is because of the oil in Dafur and nothing more. i remember during the Liberian crisis the US couldnt send a single soldier to Liberia but the rather stayed on the sea and let Nigerian soldiers go do the dirty work.

There is no oil in Liberia so what the hell. Somalia is another example they have internal clashes and they are all muslims and black so no one is interested because it is black on black. There is no oil in Somalia and US learnt from the "black hawk down" so they rather send ethopia to do the dirty job and even ethopia has run away.

There is no question the people you mentioned have had very questionable tenure, but the case against Bashir is digfferent/staggaring/overwhelming. Every African who wants peace and justice on this continent should support the effort to route the despots likes of Bashir. No need to throw in a diversion in the form of other evil-doers-out-there too. Let's get rid of the criminal in our neigbourhood first, before worring about the whole World.

i have no problem with Bashir been prosecuted like i stated but i would also like the names i mentioned to answer for the crimes they committed. hundred of thousand have died in the iraq conflict and i want Bush and Blair to defend themselves before a law court as well. ICC is not for Africa alone. Why is Israel not been chased by the ICC for stealing of lands and illegal settlement in the occupied territories.

I dont have problem with the ICC iussuing arrest warrant for Bashir but if it can do that for Bashir what is stopping them from doing that to Bush and Blair for the thousands murdered in Iraq, Afghanistan.

What is stopping them from issuing the warrant for Sharon, Ehud Barak and Olmert for the civiians they turned into orphans in Palestine , for the women they made widows, for the UN schools they bombed, for the collective punishment meted out to 1.5 million people living a 25mile by 6 mile radius. For the use of phosphorus bombs on civilian pouplation. Are these not war crimes?

Why have they not issued warrant against Putin for the atrocities against Chechnya and Georgia!

Why the selective punishment? Only powerless africans are been taken to the ICC apart from Milosevich and Karadich. The western leaders should be taken to court as well and tried , if innocent released and if guilty sent to jail.

Guantanmo is a war crime and against geneva convention so why no pusuit of Bush by the ICC. Some south american countries i think already dragged Israel to the ICC for war crimes we havent heard any progress yet.

Eko atlantic would be for the rich people to move away from the traffic jam of VI and Ikoyi. It is a good idea nonetheless as it reclaims the beach but as long as it is not govt money they are putting into it i am ok. You dont have to like it for it to be right or wrong and there are many muslims who dont like it either and dont engage in it as it is a personal choice and muslims dont have to marry more than one wife and God forbade them from doing it if they fear they wouldnt be able to deal in justice with them. We should note here that justice here is not equal love as this is impossible for a mortal to do, even a mother cannot love her children equally but she can do justice between them to the best of her ability and fear God in doing so.
