France and Germany will meet Russia and Turkey this October for a four-way summit on Syria, a potentially groundbreaking gathering that could finally see key EU states working together with local players to end the war.

Unlike many of the previous rounds of talks in Astana or Geneva, this meeting, scheduled for October 27 in Istanbul, will gather the countries' leaders. Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan will host Russian President Vladimir Putin, German Chancellor Angela Merkel and French President Emmanuel Macron.

The meeting will focus on "the situation on the ground, the Idlib agreement and the political process," according to Erdogan's spokesman Ibrahim Kalin. It will aim to "harmonize joint efforts for finding a lasting solution" to the devastating seven-year conflict in Syria.

Russia welcomed the participation of Western powers. President Putin is against "isolationism" and is looking for "dialogues with all countries and all leaders," his spokesman Dmitry Peskov has said.

With German and French participation at the highest level, the meeting has all the makings for a pivotal milestone on the way to a solution for Syria, experts have told Reuters. The Istanbul summit will be a breakthrough, as it is a chance to involve key EU countries in resolving the Syrian crisis.

The gathering will be especially important for finding a way out of the impasse around Idlib, Nikolay Surkov, a senior researcher at the Moscow-based International Institute for World Economy and International Relations, said. Idlib is a key strategic area where anti-Assad opposition fighters and jihadist militants still hold out, with Damascus trying to pressure them to surrender and the West up in arms against any potential offensive by Assad and Russia.

Europe ready to recognize Russia's influence?
Russia's previous efforts to sit down and work out a path to peace in Syria with regional players were dismissed as insignificant or outright fraudulent by the US-led West. The Istanbul four-way is grounds for cautious optimism that Russia is being accepted as a key influence, experts believe.

"Western countries are realizing that without Russia and Turkey there can be no settlement in Syria. Likewise, Russia and Turkey realize they need to agree with Western countries," Marianna Belenkaya, a Middle East analyst for Russia's Kommersant daily, told RT.
The EU has a very real stake in the Syrian crisis, Nikolay Surkov believes. They need to talk to Damascus and Moscow if they want to avoid a new migrant influx, he says.

Europeans understand the threats coming out of Syria very well. For example, a military operation in Idlib is bound to result in a new wave of refugees. They want to influence the situation. They need partners.
Turkey has influence on the opposition forces, and Damascus looks back at Moscow – so the EU countries need to talk to both.
And for French President Emmanuel Macron, whose ratings at home are in a downward spiral, this is a particularly important bid for influence.

"For Macron, who has long wanted to present France as an influential player in the Middle East, this is a chance to demonstrate his clout in the region," Marianna Belenkaya said.

War in Syria won’t end while the US remains there – Lavrov to French media. Does this mean the US not that relevant anymore?

Both France and Germany, who are active supporters and contributors to the US-led campaign in Syria, confirmed their participation in the Istanbul event. It's not clear how the White House would react to its two key allies participating in a summit hosted by bitter US rivals Turkey and Moscow.

By taking part, Germany and France are showing that Washington's opinion is not that relevant anymore, believes Grigory Lukyanov, a Middle East analyst and senior lecturer at the Higher School of Economics in Moscow.

"Such a meeting is a signal to Washington, meaning that European states want to pursue an independent policy regarding the settlement of the crises that concern them, including the one in Syria," he said.
Germany and France's positions on Syria are far less rigid than that of the US and the UK, who aren't really trying to find peace – just to bring down Bashar Assad.

"The US is in Syria to contain Iran. They are not suggesting any options for peace except regime change," Nikolay Surkov told RT. "France and Germany have a more flexible approach. They are interested in settling the Syrian crisis and are ready to discuss ways to solve the problem."

Peace takes much more effort than war
While potentially groundbreaking, the Istanbul summit won't become a solve-all moment for Syria, experts agree. But it is a start.

"Peace takes much more time and effort to build than war," Grigory Lukyanov, said. "What we are seeing is another small step, with Russia and Turkey suggesting this format for talks… We shouldn't expect a sensation, rather a slow restoration of trust."

Every participant will go into the talks with a desire to "hog the blanket," Nikolay Surkov said. But in this particular quartet, a balance of interests can be found, he believes.

A medium-sized Suezmax vessel owned by the National Iranian Tanker Company (NITC) departed from Iran’s Kharg Island terminal on May 24.

The vessel called SALINA loaded approximately one million barrels of Iranian oil.

SALINA arrived at the Jinxi Refinery, located near the Port of Jinzhou, near Beijing, on June 20.
Notably, Jinxi is owned and operated by PetroChina, which is affiliated to China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC), a long-time buyer of Iranian oil and the parent company of Bank of Kunlun, the financial institution that has been at the heart of China-Iran trade for the last decade.

SALINA’s journey serves to confirm earlier reports that China had resumed purchasing Iranian petroleum products, including crude oil and liquid petroleum gas, despite the fact that such purchases would run afoul of U.S. sanctions. Several other tankers are expected to arrive in China in the coming weeks.

Since April when the United States announced that buyers of Iranian oil should stop purchases by May 1 or face sanctions, China has been constantly opposing Washington’s policies toward Iran and Chinese officials have repeatedly announced that they will continue purchasing oil from Iran.

In early May, Chinese Commerce Ministry announced the country’s opposition to unilateral U.S. sanctions against Iran, saying that cutting Iranian oil supplies will only worsen volatility in global energy markets.
In late May, Reuters reported that Iran delivered 130,000t of fuel oil to China despite the U.S. sanctions.

Later this month Bloomberg informed that China is still importing liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) from Iran after the U.S. imposed sanctions on the country’s oil industry.

According to ship tracking data, the Paris-based energy researcher Kpler SAS estimated that at least five supertankers loaded Iranian LPG in May and June heading for China.

China is Iran’s largest oil customer with imports of 475,000 barrels per day (bpd) in the first quarter of this year, according to Chinese customs data.

In a show of support for Beijing, Russia has offered to sell another batch of Su-35 fighter jets to China. Moscow had already sent the first wave of jets to China earlier in the year and is going once again to send a second wave to Beijing. Speaking at the Army-2019 Forum, Russia’s Federal Service for Military-Technical Cooperation said: “We are expecting a response from China on our offer to purchase modern weapons and military equipment manufactured in Russia, including additional batches of Su-35 fighter jets"

China was the first country to purchase Russia's Su-35 fighter jets with the original purchase of 24 fighter jets worth around $2.5billion (£1.97milion) which was signed in 2015.
Earlier this month, China’s President Xi Jinping and Russian leader Vladimir Putin, met at the Kremlin where both countries labelled their relations as at their “best level in history”.

Xi also called the Russian President "a friend," and as both leaders insisted that their relations were “based on mutual trust”.
The proposed fighter jet offer comes as US President, Donald Trump attacked Beijing over the current trade war between the two countries.

Ahead of the G20 summit in Japan, Trump attacked China over stalled trade talks.
Furthermore, the US President claimed that China is bearing the full brunt of US tariffs this year.
Speaking to Fox News’ Business Network, Trump said: “Don’t play. Don’t let anyone tell you that China’s not paying for it.
“China’s paying for it.

“We’re not paying for any of it.”
In a warning to the world, Trump also insisted that if Japan were attacked, the US would fight “World War 3”.
He added: “If Japan is attacked, we will fight World War 3 with our lives and with our treasure.
“If we're attacked, Japan doesn't have to help us at all."

Allies of the US yes but none of all these middle eastern nations is willing to allow the USA attack Iran from their shores. One thing is clear, all these countries have all learnt their lesson. NORTH KOREA has launched a stunning attack on the US, claiming it “will not hesitate to pull a muscle-flexing trigger” if required to defend itself.

The warning comes amid continual criticism from Washington over certain North Korean policies, with the US considering whether to place sanctions on leader Kim Jong Un’s nation. The US is making its decision despite the two nations arranging a third summit to advance nuclear talks. According to Newsweek, Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) savaged “an unusual move of the US whereby it gets ever more undisguised in its hostility towards” North Korea.

In an article, KCNA also referenced “reckless remarks” made by US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo.
He told a conference that "some 80-plus percent of the North Korean economy is sanctioned”.

But KCNA said “the question is whether the US target is to raise it up to 100 percent" because Washington wanted to “bring us to our knees by means of sanctions and pressure”.

It added: “Our state is not a country that will surrender to the US sanctions, nor are we a country which the US could attack whenever it desires to do so.

"If anyone dares to trample over our sovereignty and the right to existence, we will not hesitate to pull a muscle-flexing trigger in order to defend ourselves."
The agency’s comments come as a third of respondents to a US survey revealed that they supported a nuclear strike on North Korea.

Compiled by the Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists in collaboration with YouGov, the opinion poll surveyed that over a third of the US public supported a nuclear strike on the state.

Moreover, despite knowing the nuclear strike would kill one million people, US public opinion remained unchanged between a conventional missile attack and a nuclear one.

One respondent accompanied his vote by saying that a strike was the best way to “end North Korea”.
The news of the survey also comes as senior officials have confirmed that US President Donald Trump has no plans to meet Kim Jong Un during his South Korea visit.

Trump is attending a summit of the G20 leader in Japan and will travel to South Korea at the weekend as tensions between the US and North Korea remain tense.

Trump became the first US President to meet the North Korean leader during a summit.

BRUSSELS — European signatories to the Iran nuclear deal are scrambling to get a barter-trade arrangement with Tehran up and running this week, in an effort to persuade Tehran not to breach limits on enrichment set out in the agreement.

Iran has threatened to break the limit on its stockpile of low-enrichment uranium as early as Thursday. But it is considered likely to hold off until after a meeting in Vienna on Friday with the remaining signatories: Britain, China, France, Germany, Russia and the European Union.

Iran has said it will breach the deal unless it gets at least some of the economic benefits it was promised in return for accepting tough limits on its nuclear program. The Europeans are hoping to announce by Friday a multimillion-euro line of credit to get the barter-trade system functioning.

On Wednesday, Iran’s ambassador to the United Nations, Majid Takht Ravanchi, repeated the warning, saying, “a multilateral agreement cannot be implemented unilaterally,” and arguing that the Europeans must step up. The Europeans said in a statement that the barter system, known as Instex, was being finalized and that Iran should stick to the deal.

Instex is designed to get around any use of the American dollar, which could trigger new American sanctions. As a sort of test run it deals initially only in “humanitarian” products like food and medicine, which are not subject to Washington’s sanctions.

American officials have derided the European effort, calling it impractical, overly complex and unlikely to produce much trade. Most analysts agree that it will not bring Iran the benefits it seeks, but the Europeans regard it as an important gesture of good faith in the agreement and as a riposte to a Trump administration that they say is using American financial power to harm European interests and trade.

Though established in January, Instex has been complicated to deploy because it required establishing a parallel structure on the Iranian end and some credits to start the bartering process. On Tuesday, the European Union foreign policy chief, Federica Mogherini, said that Instex was ready, in both Europe and Iran, and that the Europeans were working to provide the credit line to complete the first deals.
An Iranian withdrawal from the nuclear deal would deepen the current tensions and prompt American demands for European signatories to restore their own sanctions on Iran.

More important than the size of the stockpile, which can be easily maneuvered, is Iran’s threat to increase uranium enrichment purity levels above the 3.67 percent limit set in the deal — possibly as soon as July 8. Higher levels of enrichment shorten the time Iran would need to enrich enough uranium to bomb-quality; the deal is meant to keep at least a year between a decision by Tehran to “break out” and have a nuclear weapon.

President Trump pulled the United States from the 2015 deal last year, restoring punishing economic sanctions on Iran and enhancing them since with measures to snuff out its oil sales .
Mr. Trump called the deal the “worst” ever made, and he has said that the stifling pressure campaign is intended to force Tehran to negotiate away its entire nuclear program and agree to new limits on its missile development and support for various militias in the region.

Tehran has always insisted that it has no intention of building a nuclear weapon, but that assurance is widely discounted. Even many Europeans, especially the French, regard the deal as flawed, but Europe has remained united in arguing that it is worth preserving while additions were made in further negotiations, a position Mr. Trump has rejected.

“While the Europeans wanted to build on it, it became clear that for the United States the only way to include more elements was to negate the deal itself,” said Guillaume Xavier-Bender, an Iran expert with the German Marshall Fund in Brussels.
The Americans wanted “to start again with pressure on Iran, while the Europeans thought you could build on the trust with the Iranians” represented by the deal, Mr. Xavier-Bender said. But that was President Barack Obama’s theory, and Mr. Trump did not buy it.

Having spent 12 years or more negotiating with Iran, the Europeans did not believe that the American pressure campaign would achieve Washington’s goal of forcing Iran to the negotiating table . The Europeans also argued, as Mr. Obama believed, that all the dangers of Iran’s behavior in the region — the missile development and support for actors like Hamas, Hezbollah and Syria — were made more dangerous if it was also pursuing a nuclear weapon. So it was better to keep a flawed nuclear deal, they argued, because it kept Iran’s nuclear program at bay.

“I don’t think there was much the Europeans could have said or done that would have shifted Trump’s view,” said Ian Lesser, a former American official who directs the Brussels office of the German Marshall Fund. It was a major part of his presidential campaign and “such a major issue for American hawks that it would have been hard to shift them,” he said.
President Emmanuel Macron of France spoke for the other European leaders when he said late last week that “I believe the deal that was signed in 2015 is not enough, but it’s a good deal.” He said he regretted Iran’s threat to breach the limits and added: “France will do everything for Iran to remain in the deal.”.

Like the other Europeans, Mr. Macron called for de-escalation in the Gulf and a return to diplomacy.
But others fear events might spiral out of control. “He’s acting in a way that makes war possible,” a senior French official said of President Trump. “The Americans are demonstrating a very great unpredictability.”
Both Iran and the Europeans are confused about American aims and strategy, Mr. Xavier-Bender said — and the Europeans are caught in the middle.

“Do the Americans want regime change, or a photo op, or negotiations,” and if so, on what terms, he asked. “It’s very difficult to understand what the end goal is. And Europeans are trying to preserve the situation without knowing what the end game is".

I read someone saying Iranian leaders are very foolish, and whoever is pushing them. I just laugh when people make unguarded comments like these. Although I agree that Iranian leaders are foolish because they were warned not to go into any agreement with America, they will never abide by the rules of engagement. Eventually it turned out right. When Rouhani got there he wanted to be liberal and do business with the west, he opened the doors of Iran to her worst neighbors and invited Americans to come do business with them. Even Vladimir Putin warned them about trusting the US and now they have no friends expect Russia. What the US, Saudi and Isreal is mostly afriad of is the joint task force of UAE, Iran, Pakistan, Russia, Lebanon, Kuwait and Turkey that they are about to set up. That will really spell doom for the US and her allies.

On June 25 , Russian Security Council Secretary Nikolai Patrushev, US National Security Adviser John Bolton and Israeli National Security Council chief Meir Ben-Shabbat met in trilateral talks on the Middle East situation.
Presumably, the meeting was supposed to be focused on Syria, but Iran was also a very central point of discussion.
Patrushev said that Israel’s security should be ensured, while taking into account the interests of regional states.

“ We understand Israel’s concerns and we want the existing threats to be eliminated so that Israel’s security be ensured, and this is very important for us,” Patrushev said. “At the same time, we should remember that other regional states also have their national interests ,” he noted. “If we do not see, know and take them into account, I doubt that we will be able to achieve a particular result.”
Russia is opposed to Israeli sovereignty over the Golan Heights, and Patrushev hinted at that opposition in his remarks.
“There should be a peaceful, prosperous and sovereign Syria,” he said.
He further said that Russia was combating terrorism in Syria together with Iran.
“We have a mutual possibility to influence each other and we have an opportunity to listen to each other,” he stated.
Patrushev called for reducing Iranian-Israeli tensions and preventing Syria from becoming an “arena of geopolitical confrontation.”

“They noted the importance of progressively reducing tensions in Iran-Israel relations by implementing reciprocal steps. They stressed that Syria should not become an arena of geopolitical confrontation,” said Patrushev.
He further said that rather than raising tensions, Israel and the US should assist Russia in Syria to eradicate the remaining terrorist.
“(We) stated the need to unite efforts to destroy all terrorists remaining in Syria. They called for immediate suppression of the access of terrorists to chemical warfare agents and their precursors, as well as to prevent chemical provocations,” Patrushev said.

Finally, Patrushev commented on two other recent events involving Iran and the US – the downing of the RQ-4 Global Hawk drone, which Iran said was above its territory and the attacks on two tankers in the Gulf of Oman that the US blamed on Iran.
Regarding the tanker attacks, he said that the evidence presented by the US was unprofessional and of poor quality.
“What we are portrayed is completely poor-quality information; we need to conduct an objective investigation and not appoint someone guilty, but really understand what happened,” he said.
According to Patrushev, “the materials that were provided do not allow making any decisions.”
In relation to the downed drone, Parushev said that the drone had been over Iranian territory.
“I have information from the Russian Ministry of Defense, this drone was in Iranian airspace,” Patrushev said.

In terms of the actual situation in Syria, Patrushev said that he called on the US to lift sanctions from companies that were attempting to assist in the restoration of the country.
“They stressed the feasibility of providing international assistance to the restoration of the Syrian national economy, including the withdrawal restrictions and unilateral sanctions from economic operators who work or are interested in working in the Syrian sector,” said Patrushev.
On the side of the US, National Security Adviser John Bolton called the discussions “productive.”
He told reporters that Iran “should not mistake restraint as a sign of weakness.” Iran must halt its pursuit of nuclear weapons and “all options are on the table” until it does.

“They should give up their pursuit of deliverable nuclear weapons. They should make that strategic step, they have not done it yet,” Bolton said.
Prior to the meeting, Bolton said, “US President Donald Trump has held the door open for real negotiations, to completely and verifiably eliminate Iran’s nuclear weapons program, it’s pursuit of ballistic missile delivery systems, its support of international terrorism and its other maligning behavior worldwide.”

In addition to him attending the meeting, Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and US envoy on Iran Brian Hook – were also in the region to discuss Iran with Arab leaders. “As we speak, US diplomats are surging across the Middle East seeking a path to peace,” Bolton said. “
In response Iran’s silence is deafening,” he added.”Iran’s provocations, which also include threats to and acts upon American personnel and assets in the Middle East, are the external manifestations of the essential threat Iran poses, namely its continued pursuit of deliverable nuclear weapons,” Bolton said.
“There is simply no evidence that Iran has made the strategic decision to renounce nuclear weapons and open realistic discussion to demonstrate that decision,” he added.

“In just a few days – perhaps by the weekend – Iran has threatened to exceed the key limits possessed by the inadequate 2015 nuclear deal, exposing once again the fatal deficiencies of that failed agreement,” Bolton said.
Bolton told Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who was also present at the meeting, that the meeting “is a tribute to your leadership and a recognition of the central role that Israel does and must play in securing international peace and security.”

He added that, “through your strong relationships with both [Russian] President [Vladimir] Putin and President Trump, there is a substantially greater prospect for coordination of our perspective policies in order to achieve a secure and lasting peace in the region.”
During his press conference, following the meeting, Bolton disputed Patrushev’s positive view of Iranian troops in Syria, saying he did not believe this was the true stance of Russia and that Moscow also hopes to see Tehran’s forces and proxies leave Syria.

“The Russians have said repeatedly that they would like to see Iranian forces leave,” he said.
On the side of Israel, Israeli media represented the situation as the US and Israel being on the one side, and Russia choosing Iran’s side.
Opening the Jerusalem meeting, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu spoke of “hundreds” of operations against Iran’s military presence in Syria and threatened to continue hostile activity near the northern borders of the country.

Prime Minister Netanyahu said he “deeply values the strong relations that Israel has with both leaders and both countries,” adding that “Our friendship with Russia has gotten stronger than ever these past few years.”
“I believe there’s wider basis for cooperation between the three of us. This summit represents a real opportunity to help advance stability in our region, and particularly in Syria,” he said. “We’d like to see a peaceful, stable and secure Syria,” Netanyahu added, calling for the removal of all “foreign forces that arrived in Syria after 2011.”

It will “be good for Russia, good for the U.S., good for Israel and, may I add, good for Syria,” he argued.
Israeli National Security Council Chairman Meir Ben-Shabbat was present at the meeting as only a figurehead, since Netanyahu basically took everything out of his hands.

I am no geography expert or war critic but what is US drone looking for in the middle east with escalating tensions in Syria, Lebanon, Iran and Palestine/Isteal? The two oil tankers that was blown up in the Arabian gulf is enough deterrent for those who want to mitigate peace.

DONALD TRUMP’s chances of invading Iran have been dismissed completely out of hand by a top Iranian military chief with tensions escalating and Tehran just a day away from breaching its uranium stockpile limit.

Brigadier General Amtrak Hajizadeh, the head of the Revolutionary Guards aerospace division has been quoted as saying: “Neither America nor any other country would dare violate Iranian soil.” It comes as tensions continue to escalate between the two bitter ideological opponents. Iran has been opposed to the US ever since the 1979 Islamic Revolution replaced their pro-Washington modernising Shah, who was overthrown with a theocracy.

Iran had until then enjoyed good relations with Israel, but ever since has engaged in proxy wars and is locked in a battle with Saudi Arabia for control over the wider Middle East and Central Asia region.
Tehran has pursued nuclear weapons in the past but signed a deal with the EU, USA, UK, France, Germany, EU, Russia and China to downscale its programme.
Mr Trump was a long time critic of the Obama-era deal and withdrew from it last year.

He then introduced sanctions to prevent Tehran from accessing the US financial system and trading with the US dollar. President Rouhani described the White House as "mentally retarded". The aim was for the high-pressure strategy to reopen negotiations, but instead tensions have just continued to boil over.

Two oil tankers were attacked in the Gulf of Oman and Washington has released photos it claims shows Revolutionary Guards removing an unexploded mine from one of the two ships. Britain, who had been trying to rescue the deal with Paris and Berlin, said it agreed with the US. Next, a US spy drone was shot down with Iran claiming it violating their airspace but the US claims it was in international airspace.

The US has in the last 48 hours ramped up sanctions targeting 8 senior commanders and the office of Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, it is hoped by the US that these sanctions will greatly limit Tehran’s financial resources and get assistance.
President Hassan Rouhani said the actions proved the White House was “mentally retarded”.

First of all augmentin capsule is not for the treatment of typhoid. Clavulanate potassium is a beta-lactamase inhibitor that helps prevent certain bacteria from becoming resistant to amoxicillin. Augmentin is used to treat many different infections caused by bacteria, such as sinusitis, pneumonia, ear infections, bronchitis, urinary tract infections, and infections of the skin.
Secondly, yes you should take blood tonics or capsules along with antibiotics whether its strong or not.

When Iran didn't have nuclear weapons they are being feared, now they have nuclear weapons you want to go eat with her? A former president of the US among many other presidents signed an agreement for Iran to reduce the uranium enrichment program but they can use 30% of it to build a nuclear power which almost all her neighbors have. USA should learn to respect other people's sovereignty and government. If any country wants to build a nuclear power they should be able to do so as long as they are within the recommended regulations. Iran had been preparing for war with the US since 1975 and America think they can scare them easily? They really don't know what is in store for them. If America are sure of starting a war with Iran with the hope they can win then let them go ahead. Maybe this will eventually teach them a lesson. Russia cannot attack the US because the whole world afraid it would mean the end of the world. In my opinion Iran is a bigger threat to the US than North Korea. The war won't last for months at all. It would only be a matter of weeks and I can bet you Iran will never attack first but will determine when the war will end should America attacks. But we all know Trump is but a bully and all these show of force is only to divert attention from himself due to the impending impeachment and consequent incarceration.
