TravelRe: Visa - Having A Baby In The Us by landis(m): 12:18pm On Aug 05, 2008
technically, you don't need US Visa.

You need to have the Baby in the US airspace.

So get VISA to Honduras/colombia/cuba etc, take any European airline.

Stimulate the baby to come mid-air.

The pilot needs to submit the baby info when you land.

Place of Birth = United State since you in their airspace.

China and India have agreed to build oil refineries in Nigeria’s Niger Delta region instead of only buying crude oil from the area, najia lo wa?
what does it take to build a refinery?

Are we so dumb to know that these countries will tell us whatever we want to hear so long they can get the crude-oil and transfer to their country??

Dont we know its more lucrative for them to get crude-oil than to build refinery here??

absolutley shocking.
PoliticsRevisit: The Abuja Crash by landis(op): 3:54pm On Aug 04, 2008
Nigerian leaders enjoy to deceive Nigerians because we like to deceive ourselves.

The Abuja crash that claimed 30lives at once was grim reminder.

They seem to believe that de-congesting Lagos by moving capital to Abuja; would solve all problem.

How wrong; the series of incidents that made Lagos a menace have now catch-up with Abuja.

We failed to know that life is simple: you can't plant yam and harvest banana.

Until we reform the basics of our nation-hood, sadly, more this will happen.

A second tragedy hit Abuja on Friday, this time in a road accident which claimed 30 lives; besides the 50 who died when a shopping mall under construction collapsed on Tuesday.

The motor accident involved an 18-seater commercial bus and a passenger trailer belonging to Julius Berger.

Both vehicles were coming from Kubwa to Abuja. The accident happened when the trailer swerved from the fast lane to the slow one in an attempt to avoid a car trying to overtake it on the left.

Unknown to the trailer driver, the commercial bus had gone half way to overtake him on the right
.

Eyewitnesses said the trailer hit the bus with a dizzying impact that sent it tumbling into the bush.

The container on the trailer containing Julius Berger workers fell off, smashed the bus, then crushed all the 18 passengers as well as the driver and the conductor.

@Lusky,

Thats good webcam. atleast allow one to see traffic flow and advice driver to take altenative root.

I would suggest your company mount such in strategic location and sell such service to radio or tv station

that said; that cannot be used to prevent crime.

90% of crime in Nigeria is 'HUNGER-CRIME'; robbery.

You dont need 'STREET-CAMERA to resolve that: FIX corruption, provide opportunity for your people.

A fortnight ago also, 14 Nigerians perished in the same Mediterranean Sea off the Spanish coast. A small open boat, presumably not seaworthy, carrying over 37 Nigerians, capsized in rough seas with waves of up to six metres on July 8. A Spanish maritime rescue ship reportedly managed to rescue 23 of the illegal immigrants while 14 were unaccounted for. The dead included two pregnant women.

1. ALL the govt agencies dont even have INFO about themselves.

2. They hardly pay for web-site maintenance

3. They will never finish paying you for the actual design.

4. They are not REALLY interested in web as means of communication and reaching wider audience

TravelYou Wanna Live In UK by landis(op): 4:11pm On Jul 31, 2008
Guys,
If you really want to live in UK with full LEGAL right here is best option: BE A GAY!

Davis Mac-Iyalla is an Anglican from Nigeria - nothing unusual about that - but he is also gay and the death threats he has received since being open about his sexuality led him to seek asylum in the UK.
The Method;
His troubles began when, in 2005, he founded the Nigerian branch of Changing Attitude, an Anglican pressure group that campaigns for the full inclusion of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people in the life of the church
--

"People began to send me death threats by e-mail, by text messages, and it got so serious I had to flee Nigeria to Togo."
and within 1 year you could be singing:
He decided to apply for asylum in the UK - and it was rapidly granted.

"I am so grateful to the government of the UK for granting me asylum, for giving me safety, and for allowing me to be alive to continue my work," he says.

Foreign AffairsRe: Apology For Slavery Hailed As Milestone In Usa by landis(m): 3:03pm On Jul 31, 2008
it might interest you to know that the vast majority of slaves taken by the westerners were sold to them by local tribes.
spare us your half-truth.

Thousands of slaves were accepted as collateral for loans by two banks that later became part of JP Morgan Chase.
About 13,000 slaves were used as loan collateral between 1831 and 1865.

in the EUROPE, do they buy their own PEOPLE?

The europeans(who later became AMERICANS) are 100% guilty for the slave-trade.

Church of England, Spain and Pope all encourgaed them to go and BUY people. It is documented.

Pope Nicholas V issued the papal bull Dum Diversas on 18 June, 1452. It authorised Alfonso V of Portugal to reduce any “Saracens (Muslims) and pagans and any other unbelievers” to perpetual slavery. This facilitated the Portuguese slave trade from West Africa.

Infact, it was Business that grow their ECONOMY.  Banks even offer the 'slave merchant' LOAN to buy people from west africa.
AutosRe: Which Suv Is Best For Me? by landis(m): 1:47pm On Jul 31, 2008
what you and others in your street need; go to your Local Govt and get the road fixed.

It will continue to cost you so much to 'operate' any SUV you drive continuously on those 'rickety' roads.

That said: Range Rover is the only true 4X4.

Air suspension adjust to the road surface.
Foreign AffairsRe: Bush Approved The Execution Of Former Us Army- Do You Support Death Penalty? by landis(m): 8:16am On Jul 31, 2008
EU has no death sentence; you will expect 'killings' to go up but no. It is rather LOW

USA that sentence people to death, still has HIGH killings rate compare to EU.

Nigeria has death sentence, yet crime keeps going up.

This has shown 'death sentence is not any deterant and does not reduce crime.

solution: clean-up your social system.

3. where are the detailed layout of all pipelines, gas line, electric acbles?

PoliticsBefore We Give $1mil To Burundi by landis(op): 3:42pm On Jul 30, 2008
President Umaru Yar’Adua on Tuesday, directed the immediate release of the $1m pledged by Nigeria to help Burundi’s recovery at the 2006 Donor Conference held in Bujumbura.
The President gave the directive at a meeting with visiting Burundian President Pierre Nkurunziza.

Nkurunziza was in the Presidential Villa for the opening of bilateral talks with Yar’Adua at the beginning of his two-day visit to Nigeria.

Yar’Adua said, “We in Nigeria appreciate the tremendous effort you have made to bring peace to your country in such a short time, as well as ongoing efforts to build your nation.

“We shall stand by you in your efforts to restore your country.”

Yar’Adua said Nigeria would take necessary steps to implement all agreements signed with Burundi in 2006 and directed that immediate steps be taken to establish a Bilateral Commission to further deepen relations between the two countries.

The President also expressed appreciation to Nkurunziza for the restoration of peace to his country.
Before Yaradul gives away this money, which should learn from the WEST and apply same tactics:

1. We should have 'NaijaAids' set-up: This is to give help to those poor african/Caribbean countries. This would ensure proper documentation which country got what.

3. Those country must sign agreement that NIGERIANS cannot be tried for any offence in their country but deported back to Nigeria

4. We should not give them CASH but buy all the material they need from Oshodi/Kano/Aba and ship to them.

5. Drop-out from Nigeria school, should be encourage to be volunteers in the those countries and paid within same amount .

For every money we give to any country; Nigerian citizens should benefit.

The Bishop of the Diocese of Ekiti Oke An glican Communion, Right Reverend Olatunde Olubowale, has said public officers, who steal public funds meant for the benefits of the citizens, are invoking woes and wrath of God on themselves.

PoliticsRe: Lagos State Buys An Hotel In Uk. by landis(m): 7:10am On Jul 30, 2008
Good Idea but wrong place and time.

If UK is rejecting(sold to lagos) this yatch hotel for whatever reason, then it does not make sense for Lagos to buy it.

UK get about 9million tourists every year while Lagos get less than 50,000 tourists.

Nigerians abroad will also not stay here as they have family to stay with, so we are left with Govt people to use the hotel.

Given the state of Nigeria: It would be a rave for 6months after which it falls into mis-use and have they thought about the 'dirty water' of Lagos Lagoon. This boat will not survive 5yrs.

However, I do believe Lagos needs clean and affordable hotel. Hope the new RADDISON can do that.
